We recently ordered delivery from Bibio, which was our first time having them. Though we have had Korean BBQ before, never in takeout. They are a little further than I typically would have gone for delivery, but we figured it would travel well and were craving something from our usual Mexican food fix. I cannot speak for the interior or vibe of the space, but takeout was great. We ordered two bowls with bulgogi beef. You can choose your own base, veggies and sauces, so very customizable! I got part brown rice and greens with every veggie option I could get! I was unable to add an egg on the delivery platform, (maybe due to poor traveling?), though it does look like they may offer this in person. We then got some kimchi fries to share. You also get your option of protein on this, which we had selected chicken bulgogi. Shortly after placing order, we received a call from the Bibio team that they were out of a few sauces we had selected, as well as the chicken bulgogi, we made some quick substitutes and upon delivery they had included some complimentary mandu which were delicious and a really kind gesture and really went the extra mile without having to. Overall, everything we got was delicious, flavorful, awesome portions and great as leftovers. The kimchi fries were very good, but I think better for dining in, as most fries are, so I would absolutely order and try them again on an in person visit, but maybe avoid for long drives. Husband decided to do take out and brought this bulgogi bowl home. We've ate at this spot and have done take out before several times but it's been not the best. Each time it's just getting worse and now we won't be going back. I opened my bowl and asked where is all the rice and veggies?! First of all the bulgogi wasn't like this before but now it's all cut up into small pieces and they just scooped it with so much juice and sauce that my rice basically turned into a soup. If it's like this the entire meal is just so salty! Also, their japchae is supposed to be glass noodles but they weren't even noodles..it's what happens when you cook the noodles too long they start to break and get into little pieces and that's what it was. The food at Bibio is satisfying and filling. I absolutely love Korean food, so I was down to have some fast casual for lunch. It's Chipotle-style, so you can do a bowl, get protein, and add toppings and sauces. I got the brown rice bowl with beef and spicy Korean BBQ sauce, with all the toppings. One piece of feedback I had was that the kimchi was lacking the strong flavor it normally does. Otherwise, it's pretty solid if you want quick and healthy. The service was fine. I truly like the concept of Bibio, and wish that it delivered in consistency. The first time I went, I was pleasantly surprised. Choose your base of white rice, brown rice, or salad greens. Then, pick out your protein: beef bulgogi (yum), chicken bulgogi, spicy chicken, or spicy pork (meh). Add a veggie like sesame kale, sauteed zucchini, kimchi (a Korean fav), spicy cucumber, noodles, corn, etc. Drench with a sauce like Korean spicy chili, Korean bbq, creamy sriracha, cilantro lime, or ginger carrot. Finalize with toppings like sesame seeds or sesame oil. The setting is similar to other BYO rice bowl. I haven't found the people behind the counter to be overly help aside from scooping generous services (which I much appreciate). It's a clean establishment, and tucked in an already busy shopping area. The parking lot can get tight, so just be careful. I'll likely go back and try another protein and sauce. Walk up counter service that is courteous and professional, place your order and the server will prepare it for you as you move through the service line. Even adding a fried egg only takes a moment, your bowl is presented to you when yourorder is ready. Pay and grab a seat. After viewing the overhead board I opted for the classic BYOBowl this is pretty much you build it the way you like with choices of rices, greens, spices, meats and sauces. I went for brown rice with a spicy chicken, kimchi, beautiful mixed greens shredded cabbage and sauce with an over medium fried egg on top. It was very good and filling with just enough heat to let you know you'd been there. I haven't been back here in a while and felt like some fast casual Korean food. I stopped by for an early dinner and the place was empty but still busy with takeout orders being filled and picked up. I could have taken my bowl to go, but what fun is bibimbap in a paper bowl?? In my mind, if you're gonna "bibim" your "bap," go full dolsot-bibimbap! Translation: Get it "for here" in a hot stone bowl. Why, you ask? This is the best way to have everything in the dish hot and most effectively mixed. Plus, the caramelized rice is not to be missed. (Just don't try to use plastic utensils in the bowl... they'll give you metal spoon+fork or wooden chopsticks.) I had the beef bulgogi with white rice, all of the toppings, a fried egg and gochujang (chili pepper) sauce. It showed up at my table sizzling (the stone bowl takes a bit longer and they're in limited supply, but I had the place to myself and I wasn't in a hurry -- lucky!) Tip: white rice caramelizes better than brown. Also, use the spoon to scrape the sides of the bowl a few minutes after mixing things up to let another layer of rice come in contact with the hot stone. (More crunchy goodness!) The ambiance is nothing special-- there are parallels to Chipotle in both the dining area's ambience and the "have them build your bowl" model: you can leave off what you don't like. This place is absolutely delicious! I have not dined in, but what I usually do if I'm in the area is a stop in and order some Korean bowls to go. Every time I have stopped in the restaurant is clean and welcoming. Recently, I discovered they are available on GrubHub! My family and I have started ordering from here once a week. This place had very good reviews and my husband was in the area so we decided to get take out. I placed the order online. It was the easiest option considering the number of toppings that were available. The concept is almost like a poke bowl but with Korean food. I wasn't sure what I was picking to be honest but I know I chose quite a few toppings. The first thing we noticed when we started eating is that the beef was cold. We weren't sure if this was intentional but it seemed like it was because it wouldn't have gotten that cold just while my husband drove home for about 20 minutes. While this might be what they were going after (cold beef), it wasn't our favorite. We kinda were looking forward to having warm beef and rice with some nice cool and crunchy toppings. It's hard for me to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to dining out, this is not a place I would normally go to, but I was in the area and felt like trying something different. I have to say I was very pleased with the food, it was excellent! I had a Beef Bulgogi bowl and tried the Beef Bulgogi fries. Both were delicious! As for the star review, I would give the food a 4.5 out of 5 and the restaurant a 2.5 out of 5. My issue; it was filthy. The owners need to make sure this place is continually cleaned throughout the day, and probably a deep clean weekly. Aesthetically it's unpleasing and that atmosphere can actually ruin an appetite. If this is how it looks outward facing, I can only imagine how the back area and food storage areas look. Sticky tables and floors, trash on the ground, grime on the baseboards, and stains everywhere. I would still probably go back, maybe it was an off day. Well.. I was driving by so I thought I give it a try. Well.. It wasn't bad idea is not bad but they got some of the cooking order backward.. So i ordered the hotpot version of the bibimbop.. So you pick your order of stuff to put on including the veggies stuff. But then they cook/heat up the hot pot with all your stuff in it. The vegetables side dishes stuff is not suppose to be piping hot, rice meat and veggies goes on top.. I don't care for my cucumber salad to be piping hot. . The taste was not bad. Not the worst not the best. The meat portions are precooked and sitting there in a big pot.. They did not look appetizing.. I know it's suppose to be kind of fast but not appealing. Staff was friendly didn't care for the sticky table even though it was wiped off. So I don't think I would go again.. For the price I paid I could go to a Korean restaurant and have better quality food. Not to mention kochujang/Korean chilly sauce was weak... Not even spicy. read more

Vegan reviewer here! Okay let me start off by saying the food here is SO good and is consistent on flavor and portion sizes every time. Similar to a chipotle style menu you get to pick your base, toppings and protein. Everything is clearly labeled vegan as far as toppings AND if you ask for tofu as the protein they legit give you 4 heaping scoops of it. My go to is a half brown rice half salad base, all the veggies except for cheese, kimchi, spicy cucumber salad and bean sprout salad, tofu as my protein with Korean chili sauce with seaweed flakes and sesame oil. Ugh, I dream about this bowl. The vegetables are always fresh and so flavorful. I highly recommend this spot. My meal usually comes out to under $10 and can easily feed me twice. read more

Perfect place to get a great taste of Korean We went with the Korean bowl with white rice with all the toppings and bulgogi beef. It's a huge bowl and easily can be shared. They also had a Korean sauce to add that extra delicious taste throughout the bowl. I want to go back to try out all the other yummy sauces for my bowl. Really I can't complain on all the toppings and the bulgogi beef. It's all very good! I did also try out the spicy pork which has a great spice which is another good meat to go with. They just started offering wings and we went with the Korean chili. The wings are awesome! Really big wings and perfect amount of crunch, sweet and spice. Bibio is a new Korean fast-casual restaurant that we've been wanting to try. The best description you'll hear time and again, is "Chipotle-style Korean bowls." In other words, pick your base, then your meat, vegetables, sauce and toppings. I was a little wary, because my Midwestern bland food upbringing has me disliking pickled or spicy things. So sad!! But I was really happy with the bowl I created: white rice, kale, edamame, corn (placed in the lineup for lame-o's like me, no doubt) bulgogi beef and a citrus soy sauce. The bowl tasted great, even the kale. I've had experiences with kale where it tasted like I was gnawing on a cow pasture. Not the case at all here! I believe we were speaking with either the manager or the owner- such a nice guy! They are very consistent with their food and it always taste exactly how I expect I had build your own bowls and their tteokbokki which were both really good and very flavorful. The service there is they are quick to take your order however they aren't that friendly, but it is nice how quickly they take your order. It is super nice how it's almost never full so every time I've gone there has been no wait. The establishment is really nice it is based in a really nice area, the seating is amazing and their drink options is great I love their pineapple cream soda so much ! Not sure what the fuss is about with this place? From the moment you walk in I was disappointed but figured I'd see it through. I started by asking some questions on the menu and the staff was vague at best on their responses. I ordered the wings and the dumplings. The restaurant is filthy and doesn't look like it's maintained at all. Wings came out, and despite asking them to be extra crispy, they looked identical to my partners. No sesame seeds or anything like pictured. The dumplings were bland, I had to ask for sauce and despite the menu stating they had two dipping sauces, all I received was a small cup of soy sauce. Entire meal, with bottled water was a little over $22. I'll reconsider my options next time and definitely not be back. Staff was polite but lack training in most areas from what I can tell. So it's not strictly a Korean BBQ, sort of a BBQ bowl. But we decided to try it anyway. I constructed a beef bulgogi bowl with Korean BBQ sauce and chili oil. It was very tasty. The ratings here are deserved. It was simple, inexpensive, quick, and very good. I would come here again. They also have craft sodas (Stubborn brand). This place is like the Korean Chipotle! You pick your toppings and meat and I was impressed the portion size for the price paid. The toppings are mostly vegetable based and compliment the meat really well. I got the Beef Bulgogi and Spicy Pork Bowl with extra Japchae (my fav) and plentyyy of their pickled vegetables which were the best part. This restaurant slid from Grace with me. We ate at the restaurant when it first opened and it was fantastic Cuisine. They struggled with staffing and were locking up and turning away customers before closing to make sure that the employees were all done cleaning up and walking out the door at closing time, but I felt bad for customers that had taken the trip out to come down during the advertised business hours. I was the last one they let in and I was 20 minutes before closing. I was super glad they let me eat because the food was amazing. The second and third times I have gone to the restaurant, it's clear that they have cut corners on their food. Today I was very disenchanted that the field greens salad as the base of my bowl were wilted and taste as if they were headed back to decomposition and as some of the free were slimy and earthy tasting. The meat was not cooked fresh to order like when the restaurant first opened. They have pots of each of the meats sitting on glass top burners simmering. It just doesn't taste as fresh. Ambiance- It's a fast casual restaurant so didn't have much of a ambiance. It was dull and looked like it was out together fast when it came to the buildout. Being a small business owner myself, that did bother me. No love was put into design. Service- Bibio needs to improve their service. Wasn't greeted or thanked. In my opinion, is that standard and should be done, no exceptions. There was a male and female working and the male was more friendly with the customers. The female staff member didn't talk. I understand there is a national shortage of employees so beggars can't be choosers. Food- Never had Korean food other than Korean BBQ. Had the chicken bowl with rice and cilantro sauce. It tasted fresh and healthy. Didn't leave the heavy feeling after a meal. Overall, I think it worth giving this place a shot. read more

This place completely impressed me! We impulsively tried it while out shopping and I cannot believe how unexpectedly delicious it was! I have never eaten Korean food before and thought I honestly wouldn't like it. The chicken was absolutely to die for, with white rice and the veggies on the side are all cooked to perfection. Another Chipotle style concept only Korean style. You pick your base (white rice, brown rice, or salad greens). The Bibio Wings have two flavors, Garlic Soy and Korean Chili. So far i have only tried the Garlic Soy which was really good. Only negative I thought was that for 5 wings it's 10 bucks. 2 bucks a wing is a bit steep. Overall I like the concept and the different meats will keep me coming back. The only couple negatives I can bring up are the wings and the inconsistency of the portions of meat they give you. Stopped for lunch and got 2 beef bulgogi hot stone bowls. It was a little after the usual lunchtime, so we ordered and got our food in short order. Both bowls delivered burning hot food almost all the way to the bottom, so no problem with your food getting cold! It is nice they have brown rice and a wide range of toppings. It was decent overall but both had several large pieces of gristle. It is a lot of food for $16, so easily got 2 lunches out of it. The fried egg on top was a nice touch. A lot of choices on sauces, so we opted for the Korean spicy chili which was nice; it would have been better if it had been cooked with the meat. The overall presentation of the ingredients isn't very aesthetic. You cannot eat outside when you order a hot bowl - we were told that it is not their tables. If that is true, why not buy 2 or 3 tables and chairs for your customers. Inside dining is pretty utilitarian - metal chairs and a lot of table tops were worn/faded, so I would recommend a carry-out experience. read more

Didn't even have a chance to eat here. Was about to order and watched the guy who prepares the food cough into his hand and hand a customer a drink cup. He went into the back to cough some more and he didn't even wash his hands. Once he was done coughing he came back to the front and started heading towards me. I Immediately turned around and left. Who's to say the guy hasn't been coughing into his hands all night and touching the spoons that put the food together. Yuck! read more
