The soup tasted a bit diluted at first, but it was much better after I added some salt and pepper. My favorite side was the potatoes - they were much better than the bean sprouts and kimchi. The H Mart food court can get quite busy, but there are plenty of tables, so finding a seat wasn't an issue. read more

Tried this place 2 Saturdays ago. I love cold noodles so I ordered that. Pretty sure I ordered just the Spicy Cold Noodles but somehow got rang up for the combo with beef and didn't realize it until after. Cold noodle is pretty simple and similar everywhere. Although I ordered spicy, it was not spicy at all. I feel like it could use more broth. The noodles soaked it all up pretty quickly. The side of kimchi was meh. Beef wasn't bad. I just wanted the noodles though so we packed the beef. I believe the combo was close to $20! The food court can get pretty packed and busy during lunch. I got the naengmyeon (cold noodle soup) and beef combo: The naengmyeon tasted as sad as it looked (see photo). I thought it didn't even come with an egg, but it was plopped under the radish, drowning at the depths of the flavorless broth. The bulgogi was gray in color and missing the sweet char around the edges. It also smelled like mayonnaise or something- it was just off, no remnant of Korean aromatics whatsoever. My mom got the Yukaejang (spicy beef soup) which was also flavorless- tasted like water with a generous splash of kochukaru, but nothing else. She had to ask for salt and pepper as a last ditch effort- it didn't help. The best thing about the meal was the potato banchan. The kongnameul tasted old and the kimchi tasted like they squirted some watered down kochujang on it. The guy at the register was nice. read more

First time trying this place located at the food court next to HMart. I ordered Hang Over Soup and it came out sizzling with a bowl of rice and side dishes of kimchi, potatoes and bean sprouts. Hang over soup is supposed to be made from boiling ox bones for hours until a hearty bone broth is created but the soup tasted like soybean paste instead and did not contain radishes nor bean sprouts either. The only vegs were napa cabbage and a tiny bit of green onions. It was a rather disappointing meal and with so many other options at this food court, I probably won't dine here again. read more

We tried their haejanggook. This one was made with beef although we only saw 2 small pieces of beef in it, lol. The flavor was nice but it was more like soybean stew. The veggies in it were really nice and tasty. Location inside Hmart was convenient and food came out very fast. Employee seemed annoyed working there. Recommend ordering from next door. read more

The pork was very tender and delicious sweet spicy sauce came sizzling and bubbling serve to me in the metal plate, with kimchi, bean sprouts, and sweet potato. I wish there were more rice because the spicy pork is needing twice as much rice. But they charge extra for more rice not like in the restaurant where they give you a bin and you just dig it out. This stir fried pork shoulder is way better than the pork bugolji at the neighbor called Sogungdong Tofu and Barbecue that was $16.99. The sauce is the same served in sizzling hot plate but their pork was tough. I am giving 4 stars cos I think it was rather expensive for what I got. Cost me $20 including tax. read more

Tasteless cold spicy noodle. After a few bites, took it back to the counter. I'm Korean; I know what it's supposed to taste like. The response I got: Refusal to make another dish in exchange for the noodles I paid for OR give me a refund. They would not do either! I asked to speak to the chef- she would not come out. Cashier went back and forth several times. The owner was not present. They honestly expected me to just walk away. After a lengthy explanation of how wrong they were and that I was not backing down, the cashier finally relented by processing the refund. I asked for the name of the owner ("Irene Woo") and I plan to follow up to complain directly. My suggestion: SKIP THIS PLACE. They do not value you as a customer. They do not deserve your business. When I was browsing around the H Mart food court and saw meat jun on the menu here I knew I had to try it out! It took a bit of time to make my order but the wait wasn't too bad. I got the meal as takeout and it was packaged securely. Coming home and opening the Styrofoam box it looked great! In addition to the meat there was a small container of sauce, a small box of rice and banchan consisting of bean sprouts, cucumber and kimchi. The meat jun was tender and I liked the eggy, slightly crispy batter. All the banchan went well with the meal. The dipping sauce was heavily vinegary tasting, a very pungent dip to go with the meat. Based on this experience I'll be back to try more! read more

I was hoping for a good experience for my first time there. I ordered the spicy cold noodles which were 11.99 and ended up being charged 12.99. Attitude is everything and for the first time it didn't sway me. Lady at the cashier had an ear bud and appeared annoyed I took away from whatever was more important. There were 2 other orders that happened to be announced at the same time as mine. I verified if the order was mine and she just handed it to me without saying a word. I say thank you, I get nothing back. I get home and it ends up being a hot soup, rice, and sides. This was also the first time I was given probably 5 pieces of kimchi instead of a good scoop. Ordered the Kimchi stew and it was absolutely tasty! In the kimchi stew, there's little pieces of pork belly and good amount of kimchi! Each order came with 3 side dishes (kimchi, zucchini and potato) and a side of rice! Perfect meal to share or enjoy by your self! It's a good portion so I took the rest home for later! I asked her what was more popular the kimchi stew or beef soup, and with a very unfriendly manner she responded well what do you like, almost as if annoyed of me asking. Then after ordering I asked if they had any soicy sauce I could have on the side and the same lady responded again in a rude and unfriendly manner that the soup was already spicy. The meat jun was great. Not a huge serving but a decent size. We don't want too much. I wish that it came with more traditional sauces such as a Korean hot sauce and a shoyu vinegar green onion sauce. The spicy pork was pretty good as well. The banchan were ok but a bit disappointing. Both dishes came with the same banchan sides that included shoyu/sugar potato, some sort of zucchini (Hobak Bokkeum?), and kimchi. They were ok but not great. I'd rather see Kongnamul Muchim (bean sprouts) or Sukju Namul (Seasoned Mung Bean Sprouts), Oi Muchim (Spicy Cucumber Salad), and a better kimchi. read more

I tried the meat jun and spicy pork belly kimchee (kimchee jigae like). Both were delicious! This is one of the best meat juns I have ever had in my life, and I've eaten it wherever I find it ha! They also made my jigae spicier for me upon request. Prices and portions were good as well. read more

As good as the food is, it cannot make up for the poor service of the kid who takes orders on the weekend. He is extremely rude, bratty, and always has attitude with people. Whoever owns K-Food Garden should get rid of him soon because it's really frustrating having to deal with him whenever we go to hmart. Very disappointing. Lady at the counter didn't seem to speak or understand much English. I ordered #8 spicy beef soup. There was 1 chili pepper so I assumed it was medium spicy. I like spicy but this soup was so spicy hot I couldn't even eat the broth. I have never seen that many red chili flakes in anything. I'm not sure if that was normal or not. I tried to oder some plain broth to add but, communication issues made it impossible. I did have a good experience at the back ice cream counter of a different business. The young man was fluent in English. Grocery store is great. Lots of great buys. read more
