Man, I really hate writing bad reviews but man, this place was terrible. I have NO CLUE how this place has as many stars as it does. I guess Gilbert/Mesa people don't know what Korean food is really supposed to taste like?! I ordered White rice, corn, zuchinni, onions and pepper, japchae, cheese, Ribeye bulgogi and extra protein of spicy pork, Koren BBQ sauce and a side of zesty ginger, sesame oil. What I got was cold shaved beef with no flavor, hard cold flavorless dried out japchae, no cheese, missing extra spicy pork protein, missing Korean BBQ sauce, missing side of zesty ginger and a splash of sesame oil... Oh with maybe half a scoop of rice. For what was paid, the lack of quality and quantity in their food, definitely never coming back again. It really goes to show how much they really care about their establishment to send out a delivery like this. Extremely disappointed. Only ordered here because my neighbor recommended this place, and I ended up sending him a video of it complaining how everything was, oh so wrong. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, I can't upload the video to show you all my experience. Best of luck to you guys though! read more

Phenomenal food. BEST "fast" food I've ever had. Tasty, reasonably priced and so healthy. I'm pretty bummed out that they close so early. I got there about 7:15pm and the doors were locked and the Open sign was turned off. So many folks can't make it after work that fast and 8pm seems like it might be a better closing time for working people. I WISH they were open later so I could grab dinner after a long day's work. Truly, if you're at this shopping center and can't decide between Bibio, Thai Chili and Ono... Bibio is hands down the best food (and healthiest) of the 3. (Thai Chili was horrible the last time I ate there and Ono is a backup when Bibio is closed.) Korean food is so tasty, diverse and healthy, Bibio would be my first choice dinner every night if I could afford going that often. They absolutely do it right. Kamsahamnida - 감사합니다 read more

Holy mother of heaven this place is a amazing. It's like the chipotle of Korean Barbeque. There are so many different toppings and sauces that you could have something completely different each time you go. Since you can get as many toppings as you want, load up and make the bowl last a while. Mine lasted me two full meals. Also, they allow you to do half and half of 2 different proteins. It's not advertised but after seeing others in Yelp post about it, I asked and was not met with any resistance. 4 of my friends went to get Bibio the day of and day after I tried it for the first time, and they all loved it just as much as I did! This place is a great option when you crave kbbq but don't want to go to a full restaurant where you have to cook it yourself. read more

Cleanliness has definitely gone down here, which is unfortunate. Their soda machine that had good quality soda was replaced by a generic machine that isn't even maintained with the syrup. Ambience is...meh. this place has lost its luster as a Korean food spot, sadly. read more

Delicious food. Have never had a bad experience. Always big portions with plenty of topping choices

Great Spot for a quick and healthy meal. I got my bowl with white rice, beef and spicy pork. Loved the assortment of options for toppings. I got the sesame kale, greens, corn, bean sprouts, cucumbers, and sauted veggies. The combination was great. I would really like to try the hot stone version with fried egg on top! read more

Didn't even have a chance to eat here. Was about to order and watched the guy who prepares the food cough into his hand and hand a customer a drink cup. He went into the back to cough some more and he didn't even wash his hands. Once he was done coughing he came back to the front and started heading towards me. I Immediately turned around and left. Who's to say the guy hasn't been coughing into his hands all night and touching the spoons that put the food together. Yuck! read more

GO TRY BIBIO TODAY! I love eating at places that serve fresh food quickly at a reasonable price. Yes I agree that their options of toppings may be a little less than other places but I believe that is partly what makes Bibio so good. They keep the options limited to make the process go quickly and maintain the consistent quality and flavor of their toppings. You choose brown or white rice or salad greens as a base, load up on as many toppings as you want, pick a protein and top it all off with a sauce if you'd like. I made a bowl with some pickled cucumber salad, kimchi, roasted zucchini, clear noodles and Spicy chicken topped with creamy sriracha sauce. I also had the soy garlic chicken wings that were by far the crispiest fried chicken I've ever had. read more

We enjoyed the rice bowls for lunch today. I had the beef bulgogi and my husband ordered the spicy chicken. Both proteins were well cooked and seasoned (and large servings). There was a wide assortment of veggies and toppings to choose from, including delicious sauces. In addition to the bowls we sampled the Korean Fried Chicken wings which didn't disappoint. Bibio will definitely be added to our regular rotation, can't wait to return to sample the hotpots which look to be coming soon! read more

Ok this place is LEGIT!!! Did not expect to like it so much. Went in on a whim just cause I was in the area and from now on I'll make sure I'm in the area. Everything was fresh and the hot stone bowl with fried egg was definitely worth the upgrade. I wish I would have been more hungry to try everything! read more

Korean food done right! Very simple menu and easy to order! I highly recommend getting the hot stone bowl with a fried egg on top. You'll have to dine in for that, but so, so worth it! They have lots of meat options. They do offer plain tofu as an option, but marinated tofu would be better. I promise you'll enjoy the food! What I always order: White or brown rice Add Japhae (glass noodles) Add all the toppings (No salad mix) Pick your protein Add fried egg on top Get the spicy Korean BBQ (it's separate) Don't forget the chopsticks! Mix well and eat! This will equal= delicious and savory Korean food! read more

It's a cute little place next to chipotle, we ordered 3 bowls with rice, kale, kimchi, carrots, radish, and spicy chicken. Looked great but once we ate it, all we could taste was pure salt. The Kimchi and kale and spicy chicken were all way over salted. I feel gross after eating here. Sticking with chipotle from now on. We are a big Korean food family and we were so disappointed in this place. read more

We ended up not eating here. There was a lot of items that were not prepared. Missing Kim chi, spicy pork chap Che, no cucumber. This is in the middle of the lunch hour on a Sunday? Terrible!! read more

I was blown away by how good this one's. I got a salad base with spicy pork and beef with a bunch of veggies and creamy sauce. Nothing was overly spicy. It was all perfect. They make it in front of you. I even added a fried egg on top. It was the best lunch I have had all year. I'm sad they don't have more locations because it really is awesome. And you can make pretty healthy choices. I don't feel bogged down going back to the office. read more

Pretty good overall! For those who are curious, this place is like a korean chipotle. The food turned out great, and the staff members were very kind and attentive. They bring the food to you for your safety (since a lot of times the food can be super hot!), and noticed that my table needed an extra bowl to help share--without us even saying anything. Also, the spicy sauce of the fries was excellent in keeping the texture and flavor of the bulgogi and fries while retaining its spicy kick. read more

Went here with a couple of friends and it was really good. Being first timers, it's similar to your pick and choose toppings like your local poke or Chipotle...I decided to get everything. Man was it good. I also have a dairy allergy and the gentleman was really nice and accommodating to my allergy, just wished the woman would have told me which sauces were dairy free. As we were leaving I noticed a sign on the glass with all of the allergies, wish I would have known. They might want to check their soda machine as three sodas I tried were out of syrup, in addition to the one that was out of order. So my 4th choice was a charm, and worked. With limited choices so I went with the vanilla soda. But I didn't come for the soda. read more

Bibio gives you a modern twist of Korean food. I love restaurants that give you the option to create your own bowl, and this restaurant does just that. The additional toppings you can put in your bowl (all included) is a little overwhelming, but the staff was very frIendly giving you an option to sample before (I recommend the kimchi). Overall the taste is good, but I was not blown away. Hence, the reason I am only leaving this establishment a 3/5. read more

This place wrecked my stomach for 7 hours. I ate here at night, and the following afternoon, I experienced the worst cramps and stomach pain I've EVER felt. I felt like something was really wrong. I guarantee their Kimchi and other fermented veggies are completely rotten by the end of the day. They are sitting exposed for 8+ hours at room temperature (slightly chilled). That is a recipe for disaster, and I should have thought about that before ordering. How can this be allowed by the health department? Live bacteria food sitting at near room temp for hours... that's just crazy. After reading the reviews, a couple other people complained of the same horrible experience. I'm going to report this to the health department because they cannot continue serving rotten kimchi and veggies to people. They seriously need to keep the kimchi in a closed container, in the refrigerator, AT ALL TIMES. It's FERMENTED CABBAGE PEOPLE. If even 1 tiny drop of foreign bacteria lands on the pile of kimchi (which it will, since it's exposed all day long) the pathogens will rapidly multiply and become a dangerous food offering. In my opinion, this is one step worse than poke bowl places who leave raw fish sitting our for 8 hours exposed. Worse, only because kimchi is loaded with bacteria from the start. But, that's for a different review. I will say, the food did taste good overall, but you can't taste all pathogens. If they changed their act, and showed some care for basic food safety standards which the health department requires, then this place could have been one of my go to spots. But, after experiencing what I did from my first visit, that will probably be my only visit, unless and until I feel confident they have changed their standards of quality control. That sucks because I really like Korean food! Oh well. read more

This spot is awesome! If you are looking for something quickish and something that will please many different opinions on Asian food this is a good stop. You are able to customized and make your bowl as wild or basic as you want. I tend to be an all or nothing person when it comes to flavor and toppings and there were so many awesome things to add that it ended up super flavorful as well as colorful. All the meat choices are very well done and the rice is cooked perfectly as a base to any bowl here. If you have the time to dine in, do the hot bowl. It keeps your food smoking hot for the whole time you sit there as well as gets your rice nice and crispy on the outside. It was a great touch to an already great flavored dish. Is easily the best place in this strip center. read more

Food for a delicious and fresh. sandwiched btw chipotle and chic filet, hands down I picked this place. No processed ingredients. Service is quick and easy to order what you like. I come here maybe once a month as it's usually a place I pass by on my way home. It's right next to the chipotle which is always busy, but in my opinion, this place is way better. Roughly same price and it's the same style of restaurant. Go down the line and pick your own stuff. This meat is sooooo flavorful and it's not like chipotle where you get a lot of fat and or it's dry. Oh and did I mention they actually give you an very reasonable portion size of meat. Hands down this place beats it's neighbor. Super flavorful and it's a go to place for me when I'm in the area. This wings to me are a little overpriced here but they were packed with flavor and super crunchy. Overall though this is a must try place if you are in the area and need a quick bite read more

Meat was ice cold (even before it was cooled down by the cold toppings), didn't taste fresh, and had a ton of fat. Portion was tiny.

Very unimpressive atmosphere BUT don't sleep on this place! You build your own bowl and when looking at the options, it does not seem like much but wow the flavors are amazing! Everything is so fresh and the meat is packed with flavor is very tender and delicious. My mom had been here before and I was expecting to not like it at all and now I will be coming back regularly. My order: Rice Bowl Pickled radish and carrot Zucchini Cabbage Pork Zesty Ginger dressing Chili oil read more

Most people know of Chinese and Japanese food but are skimping out on Korean food! Once you have it you won't ever go back. Sure it can be intimidating. The strong smell of kimchi and pickled veggies can make anyone question if its any good but it is! There's loads of flavor, spiciness, sweetness, crunchiness and tangy-ness. Its Korean bbq meat paired with flavorful veggies and choose your own sauces. This place is like a poke bowl but with Korean food. You get to choose what you like. I'm a big fan of daikon so I get the pickled Daikin and carrot. I also enjoy all things spicy but for a very flavorful sauce, I recommend the zesty ginger. Its my new favorite after the Korean bbq sauce. There are also wings on the menu and fries that I have not tried but look good as well. This place is one of my go to's if I'm craving that salty but sweet and spicy meal that hits the spot. I also advocate for trying other korean places as they have much more variety of dishes and their places are also local mom and pop shops. read more

Decent "bowl" option for quick meal. So many of the same type concept "build you bowl" Bibio has good options for spicy or bulgogi --and assortment of other toppings . I did order 2 bowls at same time and one bowl had considerable less. They were done by 2 people - so the amounts did not seemed to be measured. Nevertheless-- filling meal -- Good for quick meal . read more

I used to love this place (besides the tables which were always sticky, but that's another story), but recently management has really dropped the ball. We went there on a Saturday night... only to find they were no longer serving hot pots! They said the reason was because they were short staffed, but assured us we could get the ingredients cold if we wanted. Excuse me, what?! That's a core part of your business. It's like if Domino's or Pizza Hut said they were short-staffed so they couldn't sell you a cooked pizza, but they could send you home with a take and bake. I hope they stay open since it's very convenient; most Korean restaurants I frequent only offer table service, compared with BIBIO's much faster order-at-the-counter method. But unless they start using dolsots again, I will head elsewhere for good Korean. read more

So nice to have something to feed my need for Korean food in Gilbert!! They serve bowls (rice, salad, or half/half) with fixings "Subway Style"--meaning you can chose what you like to go on top. Options for both picky and adventurous people. Note that a lot of the toppings are served cold, so be aware if that sort of thing bothers you. They offer samples of both their sauces and meat. Everything I've tasted is DELICIOUS. Bulgogi beef & spicy chicken are tasty!! I always go for KBBQ sauce as well. They also have tasty soda options that you don't find in many places. I like to get something different each time I go even though I'm not much of a soda-drinker! Pricing is just right for what you get. Clean store and inviting set up. Employees always pleasant and helpful. I've been here 4 times in two months if that says anything about it! Give it a try if you're new to Korean food especially. read more

Awesome. I have eaten Korean food inside and outside of Korea for 30 years. Most Korean fast food in the US is terrible, but here they didn't try to "dumb it down" or cater to the American palate. They left the flavors intact and made it accessible for the masses. Have the spicy pork and add all the sides (bon-chons) you are comfortable with, then add the Korean chili sauce. Just like my Korean aji-ma used to make in the market. Will definitely be going there once or twice a month! Thanks for finally making it it. I will keep eating it. read more

Healthy, tasty, filling and something that we don't have around here in Gilbert. My wife and I went here 3 times in one week when we first started going. We like this place a lot.
