    Pad See Ew
    Jessica L.

Always walked by this place when visiting mekong and was in the mood for thai food. I always get pad see ew and this did not disappoint. Big portion for me and had lots of chicken. Service was very nice and checked in on us a lot. Lots of seating inside as well.

Came here with a big group and honestly the service was sooo good. Everything came out on time, which is kinda rare with a large party, so I really appreciated that. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. The khao soi was really good. The meat was super tender and soaked up the soup so well, very comforting. The papaya salad wasn't too spicy, which I liked, but next time I might ask for it a little spicier just for more kick. The wings were probably my favorite. Sooo flavorful, you can really taste the fish sauce in the best way. Super savory and kinda addicting. The thai tea was a little too sweet for me but my boyfriend loved it.

OMG! If you like Thai food, this is your place! Excellent service, and consistently great food! My problem is that my favorite dish is so good, that I always order the same thing. Next time I'll branch out. This visit my sister & I both ordered the red curry & had the crab wontons as an appetizer. Both were spectacular! The wontons were hot & crispy with the perfect balance of creaminess and fresh (real) crab flavor. We had sake booms as our beverages. We brought an order of the chicken fried rice home, and it was really good. Last time I ordered a "to go" order of the green curry, which was as good as the red. Leave room for the mango & sweet rice for dessert! I have to say, I find myself craving their curry! Worth the drive from Tucson!

Hi I have been here a few times for dinner but came here for lunch. I got my usual which was Thai fried rice and my sister got Thai eggplant with tofu. Mine was delicious. The spicy level I asked for was med, I think I would have liked a bit more but I got the fish sauce which allowed me to add spice. Perfect. It was quite busy but our food came quickly. Definitely need to try this place!

I have had to take home leftovers twice now, the portions are so big. This is a place you can take your friend's and have a great night out. I really like bringing people here to eat and relax . The coffee tea is so delicious. Everything is fresh and made to order. I always get really good service, and the restaurant is really clean. I'm eager to return.

In over ten years of living in the Phoenix area, I have looked all over for a Thai restaurant that would rival the food in Bangkok. Well, I think I found it, Thai Spices in Mesa. In a shopping area filled with oriental restaurants, bakeries, drinks, super market and loads of great places. Anyway, back to Thai Spices. Great menu, I had been craving some Panang Curry for weeks, I had been disappointed at other places. Well, Thai Spices finally filled the bill. It was fantastic, loved every bite. The curry was spot on, the vegtables and chicken were perfect. The BEST ! And reasonable, $16 an amount I would gladly pay. I wish they had a place in the West valley as it is a long drive to Mesa. So, bottom line, this is a great place located in an area where it seems like there are a lot of great places. Go have lunch, walk around have a special tea drink, try some baked goods and walk around the market. Highly recommend !!!!

I was excited to try this spot since it's just 5 minutes from my place. Online ordering was easy, food was hot and ready on time!Coconut Shrimp was overly salty with no flavor! Crazy Crab Puffs were completely bland. Thai Fried Rice w/ Shrimp ...Requested no spice, but that shouldn't mean no flavor. Texture was decent, veggies were fresh, and cabbage in fried rice was new and enjoyable. But $19 for bland rice and 6 shrimp screams Diabolical. Thank God I had hoisin sauce at home to save it! The Thai Tea was the only redeeming item, but not enough to bring me back. All in all, this was a $42 disappointment. Won't be returning. I tried Thai Food for the 1st time here and it was so deliciously. I also appreciated the good customer service, 1 meal was delayed but they made up for it by offering a free cocktail. Overall pleasant experience.

We've been coming here periodically for years. The food is very good and the atmosphere nice. Plus, if you need any groceries, you're right next door. I love their curries. Also anything with eggplant-- they prepare eggplant perfectly. My husband recently had the salmon and mango salad and was very surprised at his well the salmon was cooked. It's worth stopping in.

Coconut Gelato with actually pieces of shredded coconut, topped with peanuts, whipped cream, and a cherry

The orange chicken was the best I have ever had! I went with a friend. We ordered the Appetizer Sampler, Orange Chicken, Thai Panang Curry for the entrees, Banana Rolls, and Coconut Gelato for dessert. For the sampler we enjoyed the coconut shrimp and the chicken satay the best! The eggroll was just ok. Each of our entrees came with well seasoned meat that was tender and juicy and lots of vegetables. We will definitely be back!

Again, found this place thanks to Instagram. Came in for dinner. Same complex as Mekong plaza. Easy to find. Unfortunately I was vegetarian on this day. Decided to try their veggie basil fried rice. Did hit spice level, I felt it was perfect for me, but I'd recommend lowering it if you feel you can't handle too much spice. It was a very large portion and lots of veggies in it as well. Also highly recommend the khao soi. Hope I'm spelling it right. Again portions were quite big. Noodles and fried noodles were great. This one even though we ordered spicy. It was milder in spice. Had a little sweetish flavor maybe coconut milk. But still very good. The place was a nice casual dark theme place. Service was great. The server was quite patient with us and answered all our questions as we were trying to make sure there wasn't any meat.

So so good! Great portions and friendly service. In the hunt for a Thai place for lunch, I found this lil spot. You know it's good when the corporate bro's are hunkered down for the lunch rush. Security office badges and business casual attire haven't led me astray yet. I tried to get a picture of the chicken satay but we devoted it before I remembered! Just know it was delicious! Ordered a Thai ice tea which I HIGHLY recommend, as long as it's before 3pm or if you want to have the energy of a drink toddler for the night. Everything was delicious! I'll probably be back later this week. I usually don't post menu photos but couldn't find the info easily when I was on the hunt for a lunch spot...soooo you're welcome

Food tasted very authentic. My friend and I are noodle fiends and these perfectly hit the spot for us. The tom yum noodle was perfectly tangy and the rice noodles were perfectly cooked. It's my first time trying Khaosoi and omg the fragrance from the coconut milk and the beef complement each other so well! The crispy noodle was a cherry on top. Papaya salad is refreshing and seasoned well. Definitely gonna be my go to thai spot now! Service was great and our server was introducing some dishes that are not commonly seen in the usual american thai restaurants. The restaurant itself is also well decorated and very inviting with super unique wallpaper.

The starter was their rice paper spring rolls (salad rolls) which come as four servings with a nice peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. As mentioned in my previous review, these are amazing delicious because they are made fresh with thinly sliced cucumber, carrot, sprouts, fresh mint, cilantro and spring mix with a choice of protein. I always have them made with shrimp. Pro-tip challenge Try eating just one serving! Entrees ordered Pad Kee Moa (drunken noodles) Thai Hot! Food 4/5 I really enjoyed my Beef Pad Kee Mao. The rice noodles were traditional wide flat and the dish was fresh and the flavors were spot on! I added Thai hot spice which was milder than some of my other Thai go-to's. I suspect they made it milder not believing I wouldn't enjoy it that spicy, I get it. The dish was excellent! My wife wasn't too excited with her vegetable fried rice, mostly due to the rice itself not being fried long enough. She wouldn't order it again. The Sticky Mango rice was another story.
