    Sysco Orange Chicken

WTF... we went out to get some takeout and I wasn't feeling the curry. I decided on the orange chicken, how bad could it be. I received Sysco fried chicken tenders with a really nice orange sauce. Because of the different size pieces a couple of them weren't fully heated through. Why are you using frozen chicken tenders. Epic Fail! Get better. Food guy out!

Finally decided to come here for lunch after ordering this place via delivery numerous times. So good, even better in person. I got the chicken pad thai in thai hot & it was nice and spicy. I think any spicier would've been uncomfortable probably. I like the pickled veggies in the pad thai a lot. Adds good flavor and texture. My photo doesn't do the pad thai justice. It was plenty of food, I had to take some to go.

Yupha's service and atmosphere is consistently great. I visited there again today (Monday) for lunch. I ordered a bowl of Tom Kha with chicken and house salad with grilled chicken with peanut sauce. The soup was tasty but not as tasty as other places I've eaten at (outside AZ). The peanut sauce was far from what I expected and the salad was also. The peanut sauce seemed to be a mix of sweet chili sauce and a thin peanut sauce. Not very tasty to me. The grilled chicken was not what I expected - seemed liked a food service frozen version - disappointing. Sorry, but this place has some good dishes and some not so good dishes in my opinion. Service - 4 stars, atmosphere - 4 stars, Food - 3 stars.

Craving Thai?! Consider Yuphas! It's a great spot for lunch or dinner, and catching up with friends. We were immediately greeted upon walking in and served ice cold water right away. The ambiance is really nice. Dark & moody lighting makes it a good spot for date night too. We had a craving for yellow curry and Yupha's knows how to do it right! My friend & I both ordered just that- one with chicken & the other with tofu. She had a side of flat rice noodles to pair with her dish instead of rice-and it was sooo good!! Their spice levels are different from most other Thai restaurants and I opted for "double Thai hot". And it was HOT!! Many times I order Thai hot from other restaurants-it's barely any spice. But here...they know how to burn your taste buds, and I love it!! Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The food, the service, ambiance and great selection of menu items. Consider this your next Thai experience!

6.26.25 - My friends and I ordered togo from here for our little get together. I've eaten here and ordered from here many times. The food here is flavorful, service is always friendly and the place always seems busy when Im here. We ordered a couple of different things to share family style. Order: Tom Kha Pot w/ Chicken (med spice) $14 Tom Yum Bowl w/ Chicken (hot) $6 Papaya Salad (med) $13 Eggplant Basil Sauce w/ Chicken (med) $17 Pad See Ew w/ Beef (med) $18 Crying Tiger Steak $29 Thai Iced Tea $5 Thai ice tea and tom yum soup were for me and they were so good! Medium to hot for spicy level is perfect. All other shared items were good as well. The thing we didn't think was worth it was the steak. For $29, you'd expect a bigger piece of steak. The steak was small! I do like the green sauce it came with though. I also felt the eggplant basil and pad see ew were overpriced for the portion received. Prices here for some items have increased quite a bit over the years. While the food is tasty, larger portions would make it even better.

I haven't been here in a long time but we decided to order dinner here tonight. We got a few things on the menu : Papaya salad- i liked it. It was sweet and tangy Tom kha gai- broth was really good , chicken was a little dry tho. Pad see ew with beef : one of my fav dishes Thai basil chicken Crying Tiger : this was the dish that was the most disappointing and the most expensive! A thin piece of steak over lettuce was $29! The steak was bland and didn't have much flavor. They didn't even cut the steak apart for us. Would not recommend that dish and it's overpriced for sure. I do recommend this place to try. Maybe dining at the restaurant would be better since everything would be served hot and fresh.

I like to post Reviews mostly second or third time around just to see the consistency and taste in the food and service. Yupha's Thai Kitchen has been in its current Tempe location at 1805 E Elliot Rd since 2008. The restaurant was clean from the minute you walk in. The bathrooms were well kept up and clean. I would give them a 5 star on cleanliness. Service was average. Only because I prefer a waitress or waiter with a smile to take my orders, especially if I'm bringing family or a friend from out of town. It just makes for a better experience. Ambience is nice relaxing with a Thai theme throughout the restaurant. As for the food, my appetizers were tasty We ordered spring rolls, the crispy Little mermaids. Order the chef seafood soup was a little disappointed because it was very salty and overbearing, my son ordered the drunken noodles. He as well mentioned they'd salt the food this time around too much.. if you go there, make sure you let them know not to overpower the food with too much salt. I would definitely go back and have a meal there but I would not order the seafood soup or drunken noodles. Let me just say the food is very fresh and appealing. But I will try something different next time around.

Typical Thai staples like pad see ew and pad Thai. Pretty solid and the portion is pretty big.

Amazing drunken noodles and pad Thai. Served by incredibly kind people. Relaxing vibes inside. Love this place, one of my favorite places in all of Phoenix

Tried this place again after trying once several years ago. In between we had a favorite Thai place closer by but it since closed. We ordered Thai rolls and Kanom Jeeb (steamed dumplings with ground chicken, shrimp, and imitation crab) to start. The Thai rolls were great - crispy and the bean thread noodles inside were noticeable. The Kanom Jeeb was slightly fishy, which is too bad because I'm always in favor of not getting all fried appetizers (there were very few non-fried options). For entrees we split one order of shrimp Pad Pok (mixed vegetables in house sauce) and one order of Pad See Ewe noodles with chicken. I thought the pad see ewe was excellent with plenty of chicken and an acceptable amount of broccoli. I like when the noodles are a little bit chewy like these, not mushy. The pad pok was good, nothing too exciting. We did order both dishes Mild and confirmed that should have a little spice and we tasted none, so we will definitely opt for Medium next time. Our server was really nice. It was pretty busy on this Saturday night and I was pleased they same sufficiently prepared to handle that.

I came to Yupha's for a work lunch around 12:30pm. The six of us were sat quickly with waters already on the table. I ordered the lunch drunken noodles with chicken which came with a small side salad and soup. Service was quick to bring our sides after ordering. The peanut dressing on the salad was PHENOMENAL. I wasn't a big fan of the soup, but that's just a personal preference. The meals came out quickly and steaming hot- definitely did not sit under a heat lamp! These drunken noodles were fabulous. The sauce was perfect seasoned, noodles had a great texture, and there was a plentiful amount of chicken. I also enjoyed the tomatoes and bell peppers in the dish which balanced the heaviness of the noodles. The portion was also a great size for me. This was my first time having drunken noodles and I am definitely ordering them again. I 1000% recommend this spot!

If you're looking for authentic Thai food in Tempe, Yupha's Thai Kitchen is a must-visit. This place hits all the marks: flavorful dishes, friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and some of the best lunch specials around. We ordered: Drunken Noodles with Chicken (mild spice) The noodles were perfectly chewy, packed with flavor, and even mild had a nice little kick. Comforting and satisfying without being heavy. Sampler Plate ! Loved this! It came with two Thai rolls, two golden curry puffs, chicken satay, and six crispy Kew Krob. Everything was fresh and well-balanced, crunchy, savory, and just a little sweet. Starter Salad & Soup Complimentary with the lunch specials and honestly delicious. The peanut dressing on the salad was addictive. The restaurant is located on Elliot & McClintock (1805 E Elliot Rd, Suite 115) and has plenty of parking. Pro tip: Come during lunch (Mon-Fri, 11am-3pm) for the best deal entrées come with soup and salad and still feel like a full sit-down experience. Inside, it's clean, welcoming, and you'll notice the walls covered in awards and recognitions--rightfully earned. You can tell this place is run with care. Final verdict: Quality food, great portions, fair prices, and consistent flavors. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, Yupha's is 100% worth it.

Saturday night, we had out of town friends come in and we needed a place to catch up. When thai food is always a good option! We needed some place that was central as my family and I were coming in from Ahwatukee from another friend meet-up and our dinner party was driving in from Tempe! In comes, Yupha's Thai Kitchen! I've been here a handful of times and it was always tasty and reliable. Seating was easy and they had a high chair available for my little toddler. We had awesome service! They were very attentive and our entrees came out quickly! Our table ordered green curry (my go-to order) with chicken, pad thai, drunken noodle, spring rolls, and their gyoza! We tried leaving with clean plates, but the portions were big so we all had to go boxes. It was great to have conversations over good food and I hope to come back again for another friend-catch up dinner!

The space itself is small, but the interior is surprisingly aesthetic and cozy, which makes it feel intentional rather than cramped. I usually gravitate toward the green curry, which hits that perfect balance of creamy, aromatic, and spicy without overpowering everything else on the plate. The flavors are bold but still refined, and nothing tastes muddy. The tom yum is another standout for me. It's bright, tangy, and comforting all at once, with layers of flavor that really pop. Even the side dishes shine. I'm a big fan of the chicken wings and skewers. They're seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and never feel like an afterthought. What really elevates the experience is how balanced yet distinctive everything tastes. Each dish stands out on its own, but the overall flavor profile feels cohesive. Service is always attentive, and the staff is consistently smiling and welcoming, which makes the wait feel easier. I also love that it's BYOB. It makes it super easy to enjoy a relaxed night, especially when I'm just snacking on appetizers with my own drinks. Sala Thai is a gem.

Honestly, truly: the whole menu is so well-executed so you can't go wrong. But if you want some good recommendations, don't skip the fried chicken wings, or the eggplant appy. The pad Thai is great. The somtum is good. Order the curry. The drinks are your typical sweet Thai drinks, but a Singha goes better with most Thai dishes anyway. The ambience is super comfortable, easy, casual. But, it's *super* loud, like really, really loud. The 4 of us had to literally scream, top of our lungs, to hear each other, and these aren't big tables, it's tight in there, so you're very close together. We left with sore throats from yelling. It felt like "a relief" when we stepped out front. After 2 hours sitting in the wooden seats, my butt was also relieved to be getting up. Parking is ridiculous, it's a very thin one way driveway with *no way to turn around* when you reach the end - back it up! Super tiny parking lot. Food: the food was very good. We ordered 6-8 things for the 4 of us because all items are pretty small. Top section of the menu are called smaller items. They were. Items on the bottom section are bigger, but not big. For perspective, when the 4 of us split an item from the bottom "entree section" we each got 2-3 bites/forks-full. So a full entree for one person is 8-12 bites. All items tasted very good, clearly high quality, well curated and definitely unique to this restaurant. The steamed white rice was hot, steamy, moist and sticky, really good. The Panang Chicken was really good, different, creamy, dark, rich and smokey. I added pictures of the menu, inside, patio, bar and a few food items so you can see for yourself. Would I go back? I would because the service was great, visual atmosphere was comfortable, and food was high quality, but turning the music volume down at least 1/2 way from what we had would go a long way,... a looooong way, seriously. Increasing the portion size of menu entrees would also be an improvement since they're about the same price as larger portions elsewhere. And throw some cushions on those inside wooden benches, our butts will thank you. Overall this was a good first visit and I'd try Glai Baan again, hoping for the same great service, quality food and updates to the other items.

Upon entering I immediately noticed that the inside has totally changed. The entrance seems to be filled with a bar and a cash register and the tables have moved to the side. We started off with an appetizer of chicken satay. Long thin strips of chicken threaded onto skewers and served with a peanut sauce. It was a tasty dish though a bit difficult to get off the wooden skewers. For companions main course, ordered was pork cashew nuts. The dish had a melange of vegetables in a chile/garlic sauce. Companion enjoyed it be was unable to finish the dish because the portion was large. I ordered duck curry. I asked for it to be spicy, but unfortunately it was anything but that. The sauce was thin and without body and had an assortment of veggies in it along with some duck. At the bottom of the bowl I found a leg of duck. The dish was served with white rice which I promptly added to the sauce in an attempt to soak up some of it, but alas, it was to no avail. For drinks, we both ordered Thai Tea, which was properly made. It is served in tall jars, and neither of us could drink it all. If you have real Thai food that is Thai hot, Thai Tea will get rid of the heat on your palate in less than a minute. Cleanliness is a bit of a question, as our table had some old food encrusted on the edge. 3 Stars
