We were greeted immediately and quickly seated. Our server was wonderful. Very attentive while not hovering over us. She made excellent recommendations. We started with Thai Rolls. Came out almost immediately and were crunchy and delicious with the plum sauce. The red curry is simply amazing. Drunken noodles were on point as well. Rich, bold flavors with just the right spice levels. We went medium and hot, but there is a Thai hot if you dare. Nice wine and beer selections if you choose. The decor is very welcoming and calming. Very clean throughout. We finished with another recommendation for dessert. Sticky rice with mango and Limoncello cake. Both were delicious and really balanced out the ending to a wonderful meal. so here's story, this Thai restaurant is 20 years in the making but I have to say the looks and the feel of this is all brand new. I don't mean that in a bad way either, as the enthusiasm, attention to detail and ambition to deliver is really impressive. This is backed up with the quality of the food -- it really is what other reviews suggest-- very good, which is why the restaurant is so favorable with the locals. I am going to my best to keep this short, sweet and to the point considering I have a tendency to be long winded in my reviews. I have yet to have the privilege of eating within the actual restaurant because I'm on the go a lot. I tend to get delivery but in recent days I am going out of my way to give all my money directly to the business, because it's important to support your local businesses. I typically get my orders to go but the restaurant is beautiful and it's totally a vibe! One of these days when I can slow down I will have to dine in! The staff and owner are super friendly every time I pick up the goods! Now let's move on to the food. I've had a lot of Thai food at this point in my middle age and a lot of it kind of runs together after so many years. Dare I say this is the best I've ever had? I think so! I have a religious experience every time I get food from this place. From the first sip of my Tom Kha soup to the very last bite of my papaya salad, I go into a trance and the next thing I know I'm speaking in tongues and I see God! The drunken noodle is the holiest of the trinity. I can't quite muster the words to describe what kind of magic is going on in them but they are the best thing I have ever tasted in this life, hands down. Get it hot... NO... get it Thai hot! I promise it will not disappoint! Yupha's goes above and beyond with the love and care they put into their food, I can taste it! The food is the most consistent out of all the places that I eat. They never cut corners and it shows! I will be leaving the state of Arizona before summer and I have to say that I do not know how I will cope with not having this magnificent food nearby. This is the second time the food has been mediocre. Since we ordered in, I made a note on the item that it had to be vegetarian with no fish or oyster sauce. The drunken noodles we got looked liked it had chicken on it. So i reached out to them. They asked for a photo, which I sent. I got a response that it was not chicken but eggs. I replied back with the mention of the note I had on the dish needing to be vegetarian. I was send a definition of Vegetarian versus Vegan. At that point I gave up and it will be my last order through them. Personally Chin Thai has a whole Vegan menu and their service and food is excellent. My first time at a Thai restaurant and let me tell you, it was a wonderful experience! I wish I got pictures of all the items were ate, but they were gone so fast it was impossible to do so. We started off with Crispy Little Mermaids, Thai Rolls, and Bangkok Wings. Each appetizer was amazing. My favorite of the 3 were the Bangkok Wings. The flavor of the sweet & spicy Thai sauce was to die for. The wings were cooked to perfection and that paired with the sauce, it was delicious. I could have honestly ate a full course of the wings alone. I played it a little safe because I'm not familiar with Thai food. I decided to go with Shrimp Fried Rice with a medium spice level. I could not get enough of the fried rice and the spice was amazing. The shrimps were a great size and those too had some spice to them! Overall the service and ambiance of the place is relaxing and fast. The employees refilled drinks, checked in on guests, and were extremely helpful. If you are in the Tempe area of AZ, it would be worth it to try this business as you will not be dissatisfied with the food. 10/10 recommend trying it out. read more

The server had a hand held device to pay for the order and gave the screen asked for a tip. There is no mention of the mandatory 20% gratuity already included in the total. For a mediocre, overpriced restaurant with bad service, they should not be able to include a 20% tip, then ask for an additional tip on to of that. I will not return. read more

I was in a hurry and elected to grab a traditional order of Pad Thai. I ordered with chicken and medium heat. It was a lunch special. I was pleasantly surprised with a small salad and a warm peanut dressing. Different and Delicious! The Pad Thai arrived and was warm with good heat. The sauce was juicy but not runny. A generous pile of crushed peanuts added a nice crunch and texture change. Overall, the food was good and nicely done. Predictably delicious! Have been coming here for many years and the staff is super and always remembers me! Yupah's is steadily busy, but it's not necessary to make a reservation, as they seem to have just enough tables to handle every guest that steps through the doors. Food is always made fresh with high quality ingredients. They can easily accommodate for allergies if you let them know (with few exceptions) and although the restaurant is lovely, their takeout business is incredibly popular. Every now and again, they switch up the menu with seasonal specials. The Spring Rice Rolls with fresh avocado, mango accompanied by a tangy peanut sauce are so ah-mazing! Portions are decent sized but if you are undecided, I suggest getting a few dishes. Great for sharing or to eat again later. This is my Thai go to spot. The flavors are 10/10 with anything you order. I personally recommend the Tom Kha soup, green curry, and papaya salad. The papaya is pretty spicy so heads up for that. Definitely get the mango sticky rice for desert but I do wish the portion was a little bigger since it's so amazing. It is always very busy during dinner time and I completely understand why. Great spot for lunch! I went with 12 co-workers and they were able to seat us immediately. I was impressed how efficient the service was given we were such a big group. You know that Postmates commercial that goes "When all you can Pad Thai is think about" and then repeats "Pad Thai" 50x? That was me the other night! I turned to Yupha's to satisfy my Pad Thai craving! I ordered online through Yupha's website; it was quick and easy and we were able to leave a note asking for no bean sprouts in our Pad Thai. We also ordered the golden curry puffs, siam wrap (chicken wrap), and mango sticky rice. Our order was ready sooner than the confirmation stated! The golden curry puffs were crisp, buttery, and flaky. Wow! The chicken in the siam wrap was seasoned well and paired nicely with the head of romaine lettuce in our order. There were two dipping sauces; (one may have for the curry puffs?) an orange fish sauce and a hoisin like peanut sauce. They were both smaller in size and I wish they were bigger! We asked for Thai hot for the Pad Thai and it certainly wasn't Thai hot. But it wasn't not hot! It definitely got my sinuses going! Lastly, the mango sticky rice. The to go presentation certainly doesn't look as nice as it does served in the restaurant; however, the mango was fresh. I would have liked a smidge more coconut milk drizzle! My friend comes here quite frequently, so I figured it had to be pretty good. I'm pretty sure it's family owned, which is typically a great sign. I really enjoyed my meal and the service was outstanding. The hostess was very friendly and let us move to a booth when the couple who was sitting there left. The waiter was very friendly and had a smile on his face the entire time he served us. Our soups and salads were served before we ordered our lunches which was convenient. Our meals came out pretty quickly and they made our dishes exactly as requested. The waiter even brought a chili pepper shaker over to our table since I mentioned that I might want to make my entree spicier than I initially asked. The lunch prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous, especially for a lunch size. I got club soda as a drink and they even brought a whole pitcher with my glass, so I could refill the glass as I pleased. I asked the waiter for more club soda when I finished the pitcher and he brought it out very quickly, with no extra charge other than the initial $2.75 for the drink (pretty sure that's how much it was). My boyfriend and I always seek out Thai restaurants when we travel and landed on Yupha's Thai Kitchen based on Yelp reviews. Although it was a Saturday night, we were seated quickly and service was great throughout. We started with their chicken gyozas, which were a special. They were very flavorful and the dipping sauce was a great complement. We both ordered our go-to dishes, Pad Prik Khing with shrimp for me and Pad See Ew with chicken for him. We both settled on 3 for our spice level, while it had a little kick, we felt that 4 may have been better for us. That being said, both of our dishes were incredibly flavorful and they even gave me an extra side of rice to take home with my leftovers.
