They had a dish I had not see before called Kao Soi, which is a noodle dish with a combination of red and yellow curry with a coconut milk based sauce, could definitely use more of the pickled mustard greens topping in my book, but it was quite nice. My boyfriend and I always seek out Thai restaurants when we travel and landed on Yupha's Thai Kitchen based on Yelp reviews. Although it was a Saturday night, we were seated quickly and service was great throughout. We started with their chicken gyozas, which were a special. They were very flavorful and the dipping sauce was a great complement. We both ordered our go-to dishes, Pad Prik Khing with shrimp for me and Pad See Ew with chicken for him. We both settled on 3 for our spice level, while it had a little kick, we felt that 4 may have been better for us. That being said, both of our dishes were incredibly flavorful and they even gave me an extra side of rice to take home with my leftovers. Pad see ew, yellow curry, yupha fried rice... all awesome. This is my Thai go to spot. The flavors are 10/10 with anything you order. I personally recommend the Tom Kha soup, green curry, and papaya salad. The papaya is pretty spicy so heads up for that. Definitely get the mango sticky rice for desert but I do wish the portion was a little bigger since it's so amazing. It is always very busy during dinner time and I completely understand why. We never say no to Thai food. We were passing by and decided to get dinner at Yupha's. The place was pretty packed around the closing time and It was only a weekday evening. The waiter was kind enough to take the order and we went with Drunken noodles, Pad see ew and fried rice. We loved the drunken noodles and pad see ew, though both were similar, had flat rice noodles, tasted almost the same except pad see ew had lots of basil. Fried rice was decent and had pineapple pieces in them which felt a little off. Otherwise the food is good, price on point, place nice for lunch or dinner and service is great. We used to frequent this place on an almost daily basis when we lived across the street. They have some amazing Thai food!! We have had their curries, chicken dishes, and desserts. My favorite dish is the green curry. It is a little spicy and so creamy and balanced. I love a Thai iced tea to start! It's Thai tea with some floated cream on top. So delicious albeit very sweet! For dessert, you can't go wrong with mango sticky rice. It is a necessity for us anytime we dine here. They also offer lunch specials! Came here for date night with my man--when we arrived, we were told it would be about a 15-20 minuite wait, and it was right around 25 minutes, so I appreciated the accurate estimate. Ambience: The place has an upscale vibe without being pretentious. There was a nice buzz of conversation, which made me feel like I could talk at a normal volume, but it wasn't too loud where you felt like you had to talk loudly to be heard. The service was just okay, though it was a busy night and that may have been the reason. Food: I found the restaurant unnecessarily pricy, I really appreciated their transparency--they had a page that described their portions for each protein (ex: I believe if you get shrimp, the number you will get is 6). We shared a yum nua, I ordered the drunken noodles with beef, and he got the Ped Gaeng Daeng (duck special). We found the steak especially good for the yum nua (compared to other Thai places in the valley), and he loved the crispyness of the duck. Though I enjoyed my noodles, I did find them to be a little overly vinegary, and lacking in veggies. That being said, the food looked delicious, particularly the duck dish. Very date-appropriate. Drink: Though they don't offer it when you come in (at least, we didn't get it offered to us and didn't see any other table offered it), they do have a wine/beer/cocktail list, so feel free to ask for that! We ate here on a Friday evening. The restaurant is located is a medium-sized shopping plaza along with other restaurants, a movie theater, etc. Parking wasn't an issue, though the lot was somewhat busy. We did not make reservations and arrived around 6 p.m. They still had maybe 1/3 of their tables available, but those continued to fill up as we dined. There is no outside dining here, but their interior seemed fairly large. They also had a large number of wait staff. However, they seemed to be on a 'shared table' arrangement, as we got a variety of servers at different times. That doesn't bother me as long as they all keep the order straight and the food comes out relatively soon. They did seem to skip over the 'drink order' first, then drink delivery, then 'food order' sequence. This sometimes has resulted (elsewhere) in not getting the drink order, but they managed it. Our party of 3 opted for a mix of noodle and curry dishes. We skipped appetizers as we were trying to avoid leftovers (at our hotel). Everyone enjoyed their food and we ended up with no leftovers. By the time we left (probably 6:45 ?) it was getting full, so if you are dining later you may want to see if they take reservations. Delightful lunch at my buddy Terry's suggestion. I've never turned down a Thai meal! Started with seafood sampler app . Fried shrimps, little fried spring rolls, fried calamari, and mussels in a spicy sauce. Variety of dipping sauces. Enjoyed all but the mussels which were rather tough and chewy. Ordered Thai iced tea, which was delicious and refreshing. And then came the lunch entrees. First, a small bowl of a light, veggies packed soup and ample salad. I was already full! My Pad prick khing with beef was very tasty, rich brown sauce, nicely spiced. Full of perfectly cooked green beans, green pepper and tender beef . Came with a mound of steamed white rice. I have tried all the curry's they're all amazing, the drunken noodles are also a favorite of mine. Highly recommend. I usually choose beef as the meat. I cannot recall our last visit to this restaurant. It's been a while. The Yum Nua (= grilled beef salad) is very good. The meat was tender, well marinated and had a nice grilled flavor. The remaining ingredients were fresh. The dressing was flavorful. A good dish to have on a summer day. The Gra Prow Tilapia was composed of two large fillets, breaded and deep fried then topped with vegetables covered in a savory basil sauce. The breading was crispy, but a bit too thick for my taste. More sauce would make this dish better. This dish also would benefit from a little more seasoning. To finish off our dinner, we ordered the mango with sticky rice, per the recommendation of our waitress. I asked for extra coconut milk. This dessert was pretty good. Our waitress was pretty good and did her best, but her service was rushed as the restaurant was at capacity. And there were people waiting for tables. We were immediately greeted and seated. The atmosphere was conducive to having a pleasant conversation with my dinner partner. Drink and appetizer orders were taken within 2 minutes of us sitting down. The soup arrived within 2 minutes of ordering. Soup was exquisite!! For our main I had the brown sauce special and my friend had the tofu curry. This was probably the best Thai food I have ever had. Nice heat to it.
