Pad Thai
Elsie M.

This is an unassuming, decently sized Thai restaurant located in a strip mall a few minutes away from Ikea. After looking over the menu, we ordered the Thai sausage and the steamed mussels to start off with. The Thai sausage was unremarkable, the flavors slightly bland. The steamed mussels were good; there's just something about mussels and basil that go well together. For our main entrees, we ordered the pad woon sen with shrimp and the pad thai with shrimp. Both dishes were ordered medium spicy. The pad woon sen was perfectly to our tastes with the right amount of spice. The noodles to vegetable ratio was also satisfactory. The pad thai however, was a way too saucy for our preferences. Even though we ordered both dishes at medium spice, the pad thai was way spicier. What we really appreciated about this place was that their portion sizes were generous, for the pricier dishes at least. Overall, service was fast, attentive, and friendly. The ambiance was casually comfortable. We came in around lunchtime; they weren't that busy and there was no wait.

Stopped in while in town and had a delicious lunch. Great service, good food and cute bistro atmosphere. We had the appetizer sampler (delicious), the Thai pepper steak (excellent) and the bacon fried rice (good)! My only 2 small suggestions would be smaller, more well done bacon pieces and the front door could use a scrub! The food was excellent and service was great!

Haven't had Thai or any other Asian cuisine since I moved to Arizona so figured perfect place for lunch on a Saturday in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage month! The food and service was amazing. Very welcoming atmosphere. I think they close after lunch for a break and reopen for dinner.. i didn't realize this until I noticed, they were sitting down sharing a meal. It appears to be a family owned business and I think that's awesome if so. I will definitely return considering it's close by my place and absolutely delicious.

Bacon fried rice

Why am I just now being introduced to bacon fried rice...it's freakin delicious. Would highly recommend trying this dish. Spring rolls were average. Yellow curry was delicious. So glad my friend introduced me to this place. Customer service was almost great. Ambiance was comfortable.

First time here! Dinner was delish, reasonable prices. The server was nice. When you check in you get the option of a FREE Thai Tea for Thai Coffee!!! Loved it. Even my bf who isn't really into sweets loved the tea! Cute small place. We enjoyed our meal and the service. We will return.

I highly recommend Taste of Thai! The food was excellent and the service was top notch! The Pad Thai is outstanding! Don't hesitate to visit this wonderful restaurant. This review is my opinion about this business and you might find that your experience differs from mine. With that said, I highly recommend this business and highly recommend that people visit this business.

Spicy Noodles and Thai Pepper Steak

We got the Spicy Noodles and Thai Pepper Steak!! This place truly knows how to add the spice. Both were delicious. Every worker was so kind when we went in for our take out order. And the inside was beautiful. Will definitely be back

Spicy Cashew with beef yummy!!

Service great, great food. Ambience is a little tough as this place does great business and has a ton of takeout. Best Thai i have tasted in Az. Yes it's in a plaza. We almost thought it was closed but saw a flashing open sign and went in. Small seating area but worth the time to wait for a table if need be

Pad See Ew

This is a small restaurant with maybe 10 tables. There were a lot of pick up orders so I was hopeful. Sampler: the egg rolls were mushy, the rolled pork had very little meat, tofu didn't have any flavor and the curry chicken skewers tasted burnt from the grill. Not pictured: Pad Thai spice level 3 - which was good and had a nice balance of sweet and just a hint of lime so that the sweetness wasn't too much. Pad see ew: tasted burnt like the caramelized sugar w the brown sauce was burned and that was the only thing I could taste past the heat level (spice level 3). For roughly around $15 an entree, this meal was disappointing.

Authentic Thai cuisine served in generous portions with great service in a small and cozy sun-filled environment. You can designate your heat index when ordering, but word of caution their scale runs hot; even the medium level necessitated multiple water refills and a tissue. The veggie rolls were mushy inside, but the shrimp used in their various dishes are large and not over-cooked which is often the case. The Silver Noodles Salad, Pad See Ew (with shrimp) and Pad Prik Khing (with chicken) were all delicious.

This is 100% the best Thai restaurant in the area. We have been there several times and tried lots of favorite dishes, but I forgot to leave a review. Everything is delicious and the staff are always friendly, it's a small family run restaurant, and all of the food is so good. Our favorites are Fish Prik King and the duck. The Pad Thai is really good, but quite sweet compared to more savory versions I have had. I love the soups and I am always very happy to order a different dish each time. So far, everything has been very consistently excellent. Highly recommended!!

Pad Gra Prow

My favorite Thai restaurant in Arizona. My favorite dishes here are the Pad Gra Prow and Pad Thai. The food taste so good, especially with the medium spice!! The pad Thai is not super saucy but it's still full of flavor. The service is pretty good as well.

Stopped by here for a quick family lunch before shopping. Wasn't too busy since we went after lunch. Service was quick. Staff were also very friendly. Food was good, nothing spectacular. The sampler had a variety of their appetizers so if you're unsure of what to pick to start. The sampler (fried tofu, wontons, veggie egg rolls, and 2 chicken satay) is a great option. The fried chicken wings were plain. My kids enjoyed the house chicken fried rice... I got the mild pad see ew so my kids can eat too.

Food is amazing. I would have to recommend the massaman curry with beef. It's the best Thai dish I have ever had.

Clean, cozy, and a great lunch spot in my opinion. What We Ordered: - Bulgogi bento box: A coworker pick who really enjoyed, and said the variety of items was nice for a lunch item. - Pork dumpling ramen: Another coworker selected and said it was pretty good, but we've had better at places that specialize in ramen. - Hot Stone Bulgogi Bibimbap: This was my dish, and absolutely amazing! I love what I jokingly call Korean ketchup (Gochujang sauce), and having it in a bottle let me add as much as I love, and I love it like ketchup. I had another hot stone bulgogi bibimbap that week, and this was the winner in my book. I'll definitely be back, and might try their other location as well since this one was farther away from my house, but near the office I was onsite for. Definitely check out if you are in the area!

PaJeon (seafood pancake) - crispy on the outside and seafood was cooked to perfection. Korean Fried Chicken - both original and sweet and spicy are very good Bibimbap - bulgogi is too sweet for my liking. But not bad Spicy Pork bento box - very good Jajiangmyuen- very good. Unfortunately, camera didn't get to eat until the end. Spicy Pork Belly - excellent. Highly recommended. Tteokbokki- stirred fried rice cake - rice cake was tough, too al dente but good flavors. Jjamppong (spicy seafood) noodles - texture of the noodles is a little bit more al dente than my liking but broth are yummy. Very authentic flavors. Highly recommended.

When I asked if he thought this was an appropriate response, the manager said "Yep", that is how he would have responded but that he would have added a little more to it. That was the end of the conversation. When I arrived home and poured the soup in a bowl, I saw 2 very, very small pieces of chicken!! That was it. I only live maybe 6 minutes from the restaurant and the soup was lukewarm. I also ordered meatballs. They were cold!! I recommended this restaurant to a friend. I am so very relieved that she did not go. I will NEVER go back and I will NEVER recommend this restaurant!! Rude staff and rude manager. Quality of food is VERY POOR!!
