My jasmine tea - A white ceramic teapot and a matching teacup filled with tea are placed on a dark wooden table inside a restaurant with a colorful mural on the wall.

I had a pot of tea and fishcakes on a Wednesday afternoon. Service was immediate and I had a delicious pot of hot tea to sip while deciding what to eat. I chose the fish cakes , thinking they'd be pompano based etc They were small fish cakes that reminded me of Korean fish cakes. Very homogenized but when eaten with the sweet cucumber salad and hot chili oil, well I was all in. They were very good. There's about ten tables, and the parking lot is curtained off with a gauze that allows light but keeps it cozy. The mural on the wall is turquoise and black, keeping the color scheme . It is immaculate and smells wonderfully clean. I will be back for more offerings!

Filet Mignon Pho - A metal bowl contains beef pho with sliced beef, onions, and green herbs in clear broth. A side plate holds bean sprouts and fresh greens.

I wanted to try out Thaitanic Kitchen because it's located in the same plaza as my favorite Indian restaurant; and the past few times I've driven past it, there always seems to be a lot of cars parked out front. It is an aesthetically pleasing--simple, cute, clean Thai-Vietnamese restaurant. I also wanted to try it out because it's AWESOME to be able to order both Thai and Vietnamese food at the same restaurant! It felt like a small mom and pops type establishment; I believe that the owners (a husband & wife) likely greeted me, took my order, and brought out the Filet Mignon Pho--their service was very prompt. The nice couple that took care of me were very sweet. They continually checked on me and made sure I always had plenty of water; so I loved the service! But I was also the only one in the small restaurant when I ordered on a rainy Sunday night around 7pm. By the time I left; it was a full house. The Filet Mignon Pho was excellent--the filet was very tender and the broth was delicious! Plus, I thought $14 for a large bowl of filet mignon pho was reasonable given that it's in-line with prices from other Pho restaurants that serve Filet Mignon Pho. In case you don't know, a lot of Vietnamese restaurants don't serve "Filet Mignon" Pho. It was prepared perfectly here--the tenderloin falling apart in the soup broth. I really liked the fact that they cut up the noodles too, so it was really easy to eat just using your Pho spoon. I would highly recommend Thaitanic Kitchen to others, and I will definitely be back because that Filet Mignon Pho really won me over!

Pad Kee Mao with chicken (hot spicy level)

Small cozy Thai restaurant with a large amount of really good food options and a lunch special. Service Jhakaas Entertainment quick and the food tastes great l. I've gotten their drunken noodles (pad kee mao) and the Khao Soi and it's really good each time. They can make it to your spice level and I've found mine to be a level 3 because the 4 was too much. The Thai iced tea was also really good and didn't come in a small glass or overfilled with ice.

Service was standard! Placed a take our order! The rice lacked flavor and the fresh shrimp roll was very fishy! Needless to say I won't be back! I'm so said 8282Food closed they had the most perfect rice! Fresh Shrimp Roll 1 star Thai Shrimp Fried Rice 2 1/2 stars

Rich and flavorful beef noodle soup with tender beef. The restaurant is airy and the service is attentive.

Shrimp in tamarind sauce! - A dish featuring cooked shrimp topped with cilantro, served on a bed of lettuce on a white plate.

3 stars for my first visit only because I probably didn't get a true viet dish. My tamarind shrimp dish was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I didn't enjoy having to pick off the shell & removing the poopy shrimp spine, but the flavor was better than I expected! Surprisingly, they have a lot of snail dishes! I'm pretty sure it's their specialty, but alas, u won't find any snails in my body! ***Gag face*** U won't find me hurrying to get back here, but I'd definitely come back to try a non-snail viet dish from them!!

Ordered a vegan egg tofu bun no cilantro no sprouts but it came with cilantro and sprouts - A foam takeout container holds spring rolls, bean sprouts, fresh herbs, and a small cup of dipping sauce, likely from a Vietnamese or Thai restaurant.

I ordered take out from Vina's this evening. Vegan spring rolls, vegan egg rolls, and a vegan egg roll tofu bun no cilantro no sprouts. When I got home the bun had cilantro and sprouts. I called the restaurant and they told me the cilantro and sprouts is on the side so it is "okay". It's not. I ordered it without those items and repeated "no cilantro no sprouts" when I placed the order. If they could not make it without sprouts and cilantro, that should have been said when I placed my order. They Zelled me a refund for the bun. They also charge a 3% service charge for cards which is illegal in AZ to charge debit cards a surcharge. No customers dining in at 6:30pm on a Friday night is a red flag. The other items did not taste fresh. The pickled veggies tasted spoiled. The egg rolls did not look like they were thoroughly cooked. The spring roll wrappers were soggy.

    Do they use MSG?

I'm allergic to MSG and I wasn't reacted to the beef noodle broth. So it's fair to say the msg amount wasn't significant if there is any.

I'm surprised they don't have more, but there's still a great variety to choose from. The space has ample seating and is very clean. Your order comes out pretty quickly! The servers are nice and the $20 combo deal is well worth in my opinion. You get to choose a bowl of ramen and an appetizer for that price. Fried Gyoza: savory and crunchy with the perfect dip to top it off. Shoyu Ramen: Well done egg and comforting warm broth. Love the ratio of broth to noodles. The pork is perfect in proportion and tender bite. Pork Bun: the cutest bun with a piece of marinated pork inside. Pretty good app! I'm not sure if they make smaller pork buns for the combo because if you order a fried gyoza with the combo, it comes with 4 pieces instead of 6. Either way it was worth it as part of the combo. If you're looking for an affordable comfort ramen spot I definitely recommend Silverlake!

This is what we ordered: Impossible Bun: impossible katsu patty, shredded cabbage, hot mustard, and katsu sauce. I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would if I'm being honest! The patty was perfectly fried and there was a nice blend of textures/flavors. Would order again! 10/10 Veggie Ramen: miso base, mixed veggies and greens, corn, tofu, mushroom, avocado, fried broccolini, bean sprouts, and black pepper. The flavor was good. It was an interesting mix of toppings (could have done without the lettuce). Noodles were good. The broth could have been hotter, but we were in a time crunch. Overall, good value with a variety of toppings. 8/10 Service was friendly and accomodating without being overly attentive. Would defintely visit again!

We ordered the fried pork intestines with chilies, the west lake soup, and the beef noodle soup. West lake soup:(1/5) The west lake soup had egg, and beef and pork cubes. However there were not enough beef and pork cubes for the price. It was watery and not very fragrant. The portions were average. It did not taste very good. I would not recommend this dish if you are looking for authentic west lake soup. Fried pork intestines with chilies:(2/5) The intestines were neither crispy nor soft. They were chewy and flavourless, which was surprising considering they were super oily. It also came with peppers. This dish did not impress me. Beef noodle soup:(3/5) The soup broth was quite watery and too salty. There was a lot of sliced beef. The beef tasted fine and had a fine texture. The noodles were average. It also came with some Bok Choy. Overall the noodles were quite average, considering price, taste, and portions. Service:(3/5) The waitress refilled our waters twice. However they did not clear plates after we were done using them. They were also subtly rude. The service was borderline, but I expected better from a place with only 3 tables of customers. Ambience:(4/5) Place looks modern and clean despite its age. There were some paintings on the wall. Since there was not a lot of people eating, the place was pretty quiet. Side note: they also have an iced jelly dessert for free if you leave a 5 star review. (I did not get this personally because I don't like leaving fake reviews that don't align with how I feel about the place.) Overall the ambience was nice but I could not recommend the food here.

Either way, The food we received was the bomb.com! We were hanging out and watching movies on a Saturday while my lady was nursing a bit of a cold. She wanted something in the chicken noodle soup family, and after a bit of back-and-forth, we decided to look for Ramen or pho. Now that's where the start started, but that's clearly not where it ended. After a couple of different searches, we found kung fu noodle And simply picked it based on a combination of the pictures, the reviews and the fact that they have several noodle soup options that looked really appealing. Ultimately, we ended up ordering the spicy beef noodle soup, and the house special noodle soup along with their dumplings, crab Rangoon's and fried rice. Now, usually I skip straight to the review of the food at this point, but I have to give them one additional compliment. This place goes the extra mile in terms of making sure the delivery experience is Extra level. Starting with their packaging, which, for someone who is infatuated with great design, they really do a great job of driving home the full brand experience! Not only were the package is aesthetically, pleasing and artistic in some cases, but they were also very functional as well with all of the plastic containers having sealed lids that had to be broken open for the first time by us. This was just extra assurance that our food wasn't tampered with on the ride from the restaurant to the house. In addition, the food was extremely fresh and hot, even the crab Rangoon's, which in some cases can be delivered with that wet, gummy effect because of the steam and condensation that accumulates inside of many of the take-home containers that you receive from most Asian food places. I wouldn't argue that this is the kind of containers that you would necessarily keep around as home Tupperware, but the bag that they sent everything in definitely feels like it's gotta reuse or two in it. Overall, we were really happy with the quality of the food as both Soups were portion wise enough for two consecutive days of meals. Same thing with the fried rice, which was really good We got the shrimp version and it had plenty of shrimp and veggies in addition to really fresh rice. Lastly, while I'm not specifically a dumpling guy, I decided to try these because the pictures looked really good on the website. And I can't lie, these were definitely really Good dumplings. Overall, we are looking forward to trying to spot out in person, but if we have to order again before we make it in person, that's what it is going to be!
