Dan Dan noodles and spam musubi
    Kendall N.

Second time coming here. Today I got the spam musubi and the Dan Dan noodles with ahi. The spam musubi had an excellent flavor! I was impressed. I've had a lot of spam musubi and it was great! The only odd thing is that the rice is not warm. It's not cold and hard but it's cooler than room temperature. I still give it a thumbs up! The Dan Dan noodles also had excellent flavor. The fish was fresh and the large portion was definitely filling. The food came pretty fast (although it was not busy on a Sunday evening).

Easy ordering at counter. Comfortable interior lots of 4 person seating. Fresh poke, lots of fun options. We had the Yaki Poke and SW Salmon poke. Both were excellent. A little pricey but the quality is there. $60 for 2 with a couple oysters and a beer.

I love Chula in uptown so when I knew I was close to one, I was very eager to go! I'm very happy I did stop by. It's quite different from the one in uptown and that made me excited more. And Sunday all day happy hour is awesome as well. I got the Korean poke, it looks huge I'm sure because of the greens but still wow! I also ordered half dozen oysters. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back if I'm in that area. Very much a seafood market vibe.

Hidden seafood gem in the valley. The location is unassuming but the food is next level. I ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl. The fish is so fresh and high quality. The price is somewhat steep, but you get what you pay for in quality. I will be returning!

Saturday Smoked Salmon or Lox Bagel
    Bailey L.

Chula Seafood strikes again! This time I came with the intent of getting a lox bagel, because lox duh. They serve up their smoked salmon or lox bagels on Saturdays & Sundays and I had been waiting to satiete this craving from them since my previous visit when I had to make the very hard decision of not getting the lox bagel and opting for their restaurant week menu (no regrets but still sad.) We arrived as close to opening as possible, because I was not going to risk them selling out. About 5 minutes after they opened, we rolled up and were told they had two bagels left! Well luckily there were only two of us, but I was also confused as they had JUST opened.... I am not sure if it was do to a big order, a delayed order or some other unrelated factor, but it is something to keep in mind if you are coming in for that. They have plenty of other offerings, so always able to pivot, but I am glad I did not have to this time. We both got the lox, which was also affirmed by the employee as her favorite. I can't tell you exactly what is on it, but it came out on a everything bagel, a generous serving of lox, cream cheese, pickled red onion, cucumber, I think some kind of pickled pepper and overall was most lovely and hit the mark. Since I was there... I also got a spicy tuna onigiri to go to enjoy for lunch later. It was good, but not nearly as good as the one I had on my previous visit, (It was the restaurant week special, so not totally apples to apples) but fell a bit flat this time around, feeling much more rice, less flavorful and low on the tuna. It did come with the same delicious wasabi based sauce though - It'll clear you right out! Great casual spot, with awesome weekend specials and menu, especially great during these summer months when something fresher juts hits a bit more.

We took a quick trip during restaurant week to a location we didn't even know existed. Staff was SUPER friendly and it was a cute little storefront order at the counter place. Dishes were amazing and a great value. Just spicy enough for me! We will return!

    Hawaiian Style Poke

I had very high hopes for Chula Seafood and opted for the Hawaiian poke with spicy tuna and salmon poke. The salmon wasn't seasoned at all, but the tuna was good. Some parts of the salmon were chewy and not a great texture. Overall the dish was very bland-- I was so surprised. Even adding soy sauce it still fell short. Service was warm and friendly and ambiance is casual. Might return to try more classic seafood dishes like chowder or something else, but wasn't a big fan of the poke bowl. Needed a lot more seasoning.

Amazing staff/service. Food is ALWAYS delicious. I had the pleasure of trying the Yuzu chili poke bowl special and I hope they keep it . Every time I come in it's on point.

Love this spot! Freshest seafood in the desert, kind staff and good happy hour deals. Every day has a different deal but we love the Sunday happy hour shrimp cocktail. You walk in and immediately feel like you are back in San Diego, beach vibes and coastal feel.

    Onigiri

The freshest fish I've had since moving to Arizona. Hawaiian Style Poke bowl was amazing. Onigiri and Spicy tuna tacos made fresh to order. The people behind the counter were very helpful and friendly.

So, 8 years later, and it is still as amazing as ever. I'm rarely on this side of town these days, ut I had to head back here when I am. What can I say? Service was great. Restaurant was clean and open. And food? As amazing as ever. Usually my camera eats first, but not for this meal. Prices are well worth the quality you get. I will be back! Hopefully sooner rather than later.

    Hot Lobster Roll

Always delicious!!!! I got the lobster roll-- I can't rave about this enough. It is one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had! The shrimp and chowder were great, also. And they have a great happy hour! Only thing is they are taking off the tuna confetti sandwich, such a bummer. It is one of the best sandwiches around! My one note to management is to bring back the tuna sandwich permanently!

Onigiri to go, wrapped like it's gonna make it all the way home. Lies we tell ourselves in cling wrap.
    Jessica C.

Just added some lost pics to show off the past deliciousness! One thing I have to say that isn't in my precious review is: the onigiri is freaking delicious! Perfect little budget-friendly item, especially for a single mom (of a grown child) like me. If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and grab one. Everything else is still amazing as ever!

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more King's Fish House 35 S McClintock Drive Tempe, 85281 Good places to have a fish dinner are getting hard to find. We decided to give this one a try. Companion and I arrived at 5:45 and were seated promptly. Our server Nikki brought menus and took our drink orders. We started off with Calamari. It was perfectly cooked and came with 2 sauces that I have never had served with it before. One was MaPloi, and the other was an aioli that was nicely spicey. The portion was large and unfortunately, we couldn't finish it. Companion ordered Fish & Chips. A nice sized portion of cod, perfectly fried. Unfortunately, the chips were not fried the way companion asked for them and most of them were left on the plate. For myself, I ordered the Scallop & Shrimp Combo which came with nicely prepared brussel sprouts which were grilled and then had balsamic vinegar over them. I also ordered the char broiled zucchini, which I did not care for and left most of it on my plate. On to desserts! Desserts are prepared in house and not from the outside. Companion ordered Bread Pudding. Sliced from a loaf and served with a Jack Daniels Whiskey sauce and a ball of vanilla ice cream. Companion was so full that it was not finished but not before declaring it to be delicious. I ordered the Butter Cake. A delicious cupcake sized portion tasting deeply of butter, served with whipped cream, berries, and topped with vanilla ice cream. Once again, the portion was so big that I could only eat half of it. As one might expect in a restaurant of this caliber, it was squeaky clean. Service was efficient and almost all of the food was prepared as ordered. 5 stars
