The best fish. I never want to go anywhere else. Thanks for bringing us this fish, guys (and gals)! read more

Good fish selection although most fish is or has been frozen. Understandable in this market. They are very good about getting the fish I want. Just wish they had a store closer. Service is very good. Ambiance? Well, not much there - they are in a little storefront shop. But I appreciate their selection and will continue buying from them until something better comes along! read more

Their CS is above and beyond, I called them on Tuesday inquiring on some Tasmanian Beef Rib Eyes (Which are phenomenal BTW) and some Ivory King Salmon Center Cut Filets (Excellent as well I might add) and they had what I needed and set them aside for me to pickup today. Brenda does an excellent job, is very helpful with preparation tips and recipes. Everything I've bought and already tried has been worth every penny. I am hooked. I want to try their Iberian Pork on my next visit. read more

Great place to buy sashimi grade fish. I bought spot prawns, Coho salmon and first catch of the season Halibut. All delicious

This is the only place I get my fish! Alaskan pride seafoods has the highest quality, fresh and most nutritionally rich fish in this state, you really can taste the difference. I can never go wrong with the king salmon and halibut here. You even get a punch card for being a loyal customer! Grocery store fish can't compare. read more

Love this place so much! One of the few locations I can find black cod and smoked black cod! The woman up front is beyond kind and knowledgeable. Love to support them. Literal tiny hole in the wall read more

The absolute best seafood market in Phoenix. They have everything from freshwater, seawater, and quite possibly the best Tasmanian grass fed steaks plus local poultry. The staff are friendly and very helpful in helping you pick out exactly what you need from their wide selection. I personally recommend the walleye, Halibut cheeks and the Tasmanian steaks. read more

Did a search for fresh seafood markets in the Valley and Alaskan Pride was one of the first ones to come up. I'm still trying new stuff on my new smoker and really wanted to give salmon a try. I absolutely love salmon, but wanted something fresh and wild caught. I mean, that farm-raised junk you find at Costco or any supermarket just isn't real salmon. It just isn't. My wife and I drove here this afternoon after work from Peoria. It's a convenient location not too far from the 51 off Indian School Rd. Super clean parking lot, very clean entrance and a small space that does not smell fishy at all. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and it's obvious as a small business, they care about their customer base. Unfortunately, they did not have any fresh salmon in the display case. :( BUT I did walk out with a wild-caught (but frozen) chunk of King Salmon and a chunk of Sockeye. Their frozen selection is still impressive with a vast array of seafood you're not going to find at Fry's or Safeway. I intend to put the salmon I got from them on my smoker tomorrow, but I have no doubt it will be tasty! The coloring of the fillets are awesome and do not at all smell fishy. Despite being frozen, they look amazing. They're not at all freezer burnt and look as though they went from the boat right to the freezer. I am looking forward to dinner tomorrow! I would not at all hesitate to recommend Alaskan Pride if you're interested in obtaining some awesome wild-caught seafood! Obviously, you get what you pay for so if you're looking for something fresh and/or wild-caught, this is your place to be. Thanks for the fillets and I shall be back! read more

Wow, is their customer service OUT OF THIS WORLD and so are their products. I called a while back asking about fish carcasses for making stock. They continue to call me with updates when they get fresh fish directly from Alaska in the store. Recently I got such a call and I was able to finally drop into their store and see the stunning array of fresh fish in their deep freezers. Then they brought out my carcass for the stock and it had never been frozen, literally FRESH off the boat in Alaska and flown to Arizona. Unbelievable this is even something we can get in the desert. I recommend them 100%. Where else are you going to get wild caught ocean fish in the middle of the desert that's never been frozen. If you're thinking about it, just do it! read more

A smidgin pricy but the quality is so good. Best king crab legs in town. You'll thank me

I am originally from the east coast and am still a seafood-holic deep down inside. But I now live in AZ... AK Pride reminds me of my childhood - One single counter that's is also a fish case - A chalkboard w/ what they currently have in stock - People who know what the hell they're talking about when you run across a fish you've never cooked or even heard of It's not cheap to enjoy quality seafood in the desert so I'm very glad to have AK Pride in my neighborhood to remind me why it's worth it read more

Love this place! Great photos on the wall of the owners fishing in Alaska. We purchased a filet of halibut and it was delicious, baked in the oven with just olive oil, a little garlic, and lemon juice. They flash freeze the fish on the ship, so when it gets here, it still has that fresh taste. I also love how they mark the date the fish was caught. My halibut had 4/27/17 stamped on the vacuum sealed wrap, and it was perfect. I'm excited to try their other fish. Besides all the lovely seafood, they have grass-fed beef and pork. Didn't spend a lot of time admiring those containers, as I was too attracted to the seafood. I'll definitely be back here for more! read more

Alaskan Pride Seafoods - Hours - Seafood Markets Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

With fish this good it's easy to show that Alaskan Pride! This is quite possibly the best resource for seafood you can get from Alaska, right here in Arizona! Most of the fish here is frozen, but they do have fresh selections (I believe they had some sole out for sale when I was here). In addition to fish, they have shellfish and grass fed meat, all very high quality products. I asked the friendly lady at the register if the salmon was sashimi grade and which kinds of salmon were the best for raw preparations. She confirmed that it was good for sashimi and on a later conversation with the shop owner, I found out their salmon is frozen on the spot after the fish is caught and stored at -40 F for 2-2.5 weeks which exceeds the recommendations for freezing fish to kill off any parasites. The young lady helping me said that the king salmon was probably the most popular for sushi and sashimi but she did have a client that prefers the silver salmon so I figured I'd get one of each. I tried the king salmon first. I took it out of its vacuum pack and let it slow thaw in the fridge for a day in a container (The recommended method to thaw for raw preparation). When I took it out of the container it looked perfect. There was no liquid oozing from the fish, it had a deep orange color, and it smelled so fresh, as if it had just come from the sea. Turning the fish over, I was amazed also at the bright, silvery color of the skin. I think the only time I'll see fish this nice looking is if I were to catch it myself! The taste was very clean and pure. I think it is a leaner meat than Atlantic salmon so it wasn't as buttery tasting but I preferred the overall flavor of the king compared to Atlantic. The silver salmon didn't taste as good as the king for sashimi so I made it into a delicious poke. It was also extremely fresh tasting with bright, gleaming skin. I also got a fresh frozen bag of sardines. I'm excited to use them in a dish since I've only had the canned kind. With the high quality products they sell and friendly service this is definitely a place I'll be frequenting for some of the best seafood in Arizona. read more

I loved ordering fish from Lake Superior from this store. The customer service was great, and they packaged the fish in a way that I don't have to do a thing except put it in the freezer. Great place to shop. Great selection. I will definitely go back and send others. read more

I recently stocked up on seafood from Alaskan Pride Seafood and wanted to wait until I tried everything before writing my review. Parking is my biggest complaint of the visit, the lot is TINY and hard to get in and out of! Service is ok, but a little slow, there was one guy who was working the cash and serving customers. The guy who helped us was a nice guy, but tends to get distracted easily. I think the parking lot would improve if people were in and out faster. The salmon was to die for! The catfish was very good, but definitely about double price of anywhere else and didn't really seem any different. The Walleye was delicious, but lots of bones. I actually ended up having to get some small tweezers off of Amazon to extract them all. The shrimp are amazing and a truly unique offering. The oysters were delicious, however in the batch of the dozen we had two spoiled ones - yuck (which brings my to my other biggest gripe). They have a card you get stamped to help you save money, especially if you visit often which is nice - though I would rather just have lower prices (less overhead for everyone involved). They do have a handful of fresh items, but I would say 95% of their stock is frozen. I love the way the frozen items are packaged - it really helps the product avoid freezer burn. read more

Pricey...but seriously worth it! Even the fresh frozen freezer is so much better than most other local options.

If you are looking for the best fresh seafood to cook go to Alaskan Pride Seafood. We have bought there several times and have never been disappointed. We have bought crab legs, oysters, black cod and halibut but they have so much more. So check them out. We bought Oysters and fresh Swordfish for dinner tonight and arrived from Alaska Friday read more

The fish is some of the freshest and best I've ever purchased in Arizona. Some people would complain because some of it's frozen but if you're catching it and freezing it the same day when you thaw it out it's as fresh as the day it was caught. I love a fish that has no smell at all cause that's a sign of freshness...none of their fish smelled. The reason I am upset is because my wife and I just discovered this place and now we're moving to Dallas. For eight years I tried to find a good fishmonger now that I finally found one we are leaving. I highly recommend these guys... really really good fresh seafood and reasonable pricing too. read more

My boyfriend and I visited here to buy oysters and yellowtail. They have a good variety of seafood. I do recommend their selection. However, we were disappointed most recently for two reasons. First, a customer walked in without a mask. The female employee didn't say anything. The space is very small, so I felt uncomfortable. Second, the employee was in a bad mood. She wasn't friendly at all. We walked away upset. It's possible she was just having a bad day, but she really didn't want to be there and made our experience more unpleasant. I'd like to go back still to support them. read more

We've purchased and enjoyed fish from this company a handful of times... all from the Old Town Farmers Market. From salmon to black cod medallions and most recently, black cod fillet, we've never had a bad piece of fish. I see on their website that they offer several other kinds of seafood, and that they have a presence at other Valley farmers markets too... you'll find them doing the circuit from Wednesdays through Saturdays. You do pay a bit of a premium for this product; it's not cheap... but it is some of the best quality fish I've had - and I admit, we're not the best cooks, but we haven't even screwed this fish up! Thanks for the recipes and tips, guys - we'll see you soon! read more

So far, only one visit but I was impressed by the quality of service. The person working there knew all about the fish and the schedule of when they open and why they open when they do. They do have a presence at the Uptown Farmer's Market on Central when they are not off fishing in Alaska. We purchased a piece of frozen halibut and cooked it the following day. It was moist, flaky and had a delicious flavor. It's sometimes difficult to find a good local fish market. This should be on your radar to try. There is parking for about eight cars in the mini parking lot. This may be the challenge to buying your favorite fish. read more

We actually picked up from the Farmer's Market at Roadrunner. The owner's 9.5 year old son actually helped me and was so knowledgeable about the seafood and also so good with money, truly a stand up family! Onto the seafood- I got sablefish tips, which I have never had. We steamed them in mirin-soy-sake with a ginger-scallioj sauce and the texture and flavor of the fish was to die for; better than the Chinese live steamed bass we order even. Also, when we defrosted the fish, there was no liquid that pooled; incredible quality. I can't wait to try the package of scallops. We will definitely be back. read more

Great place to get quality seafood. They also have homemade pasta, bbq sauces and local honey

This place has an amazing variety of fresh seafood, yes the prices are high but we live in Arizona so expect that. I recently went in for clams, which they were running low on. I went home with clams and mussels. The gent servicing me picked through the clams, finding all the ones that hadn't opened and were still safe to eat. He did the same with the mussels. I appreciated his attention to detail and the service I received but I was sadly disappointed when less that 24 hours later more than half had opened up and were no longer able to be served. Perhaps next time I should wait until right before I am serving to run to the store but that is not always possible. I might opt for frozen the next go round. read more

Today I walked into Alaskan Pride, looking for "Sushi Grade Tuna", which I know literally nothing about because I am an Arizona kid. My boyfriend, on the other hand, grew up on an island. I didn't know what fresh fish tasted like before today, apparently because, you know that "fish" taste and smell that we all kind of hate? So this fish doesn't have it. APPARENTLY FRESH FISH ISN'T SUPPOSED TO SMELL OR TASTE LIKE THAT. Also, today I learned how to make deep fried sushi and regular sushi. read more

Still a huge fan, and now that there's a storefront, it's even better. I rarely, if ever, order salmon in a restaurant now because it just can't compare to the King salmon I get here. We've also enjoyed the halibut and have gotten some beautiful sea scallops. I think there's even some eel in our freezer my husband insisted on buying. I'm a hard no on that, but if I did eat eel, I'm sure it would be amazing, too. read more

The freshest seafood in Arizona! I shop here weekly for my seafood. I have tried it all, fresh and frozen I am never disappointed. They are family run, and get most all their seafood from Alaska - they fish themselves! It's sustainable, and they offer fair prices. Cedar the owner is very kind, always friendly and super helpful about recommending ways to cook and prepare what you buy. I am loyal to Alaskan Pride and don't purchase seafood from anywhere else! Love seeing them at the local farmers markets, and I occasionally stop in the store front as well where they carry other local meats - chicken, beef, etc. Support local! read more

Excellent selection, always perfect taste and freshness and priced right. I like frozen because it only takes a few minutes to defrost and when it frozen on the boat; it's as fresh as possible. I almost never take the time to write Yelp reviews, but my experience with Alaskan Pride Seafood so far exceeded my expectations, I knew I must. Since the pandemic started, I have been exclusively having my groceries delivered. When I was thinking about putting together a seafood dinner to celebrate my father's 83rd birthday, I was going to have the shopper add some scallops to my cart. But the reviews for their seafood at the grocery store I use for delivery were not good. I pondered "there must be a seafood market somewhere in Phoenix, right?" I found Alaskan Pride Seafood on Yelp. Not only did I feel safer than going to a big grocery store, but the lady at the counter was delightful and the scallops and shrimp I got were among the best I've tasted in years! There's no question that they were very recently caught. I intend to use Alaskan Pride Seafood exclusively for my seafood purchases going forward as long as I live in Phoenix. read more
