A.M.M. is closed on Sunday and Monday. This time I was in the area on a Saturday and was able to stop and shop. Fresh, quality, better-for-my-body products. In addition to selling frozen chicken and beef bone broth, they have their own piping hot and available to take home, or enjoy on the spot. Zion was knowledgeable, kind and friendly. This store is small but has just what you need. I enjoy the selection here and like that you can find smaller portions than some others sell. My partner and I got a 8lbs brisket here and whole chicken to smoke and they both came out perfect. We obviously had leftovers but not too much. Me and my wife went to get some goods here and we were super excited because of how much they had to offer. We waited by the counter for like 5 minutes before one of the workers said, "are you all just waiting for something?" As if our presence bothered them. The product is good but service is everything. We LOVE Arcadia Meat Market. Yes, it's expensive, but you get what you pay for! In this case, you're paying for high-quality, humanely raised, local/regional meat. I'm of the opinion that if you can't pay for the real cost of humanely raised meat, you shouldn't be eating it at all. We buy from AMM a few times a year to stock our fridge and freezer, and we usually get something special for Father's Day and Christmas. New April 17 2025 12:30 PM approximately.This is my first time shopping at this butcher. I normally shop at Costco where everybody is so overly customer service oriented. I purchased a 4 1/2 pound uncooked roast beef. I don't know if they call it a rib roast or what because it's not my cup of tea. I purchased some rub for it. I then asked the butcher who was helping me out how to cook it. He said to me, "So you want all our trade secrets because I didn't buy the one that was cooked in their showcase." "I guess". It was like pulling teeth out of him, trying to get the oven temperature I should set, the time, and a couple basics. It is with a heavy heart that write this, as I'm not one to bitch and complain. Our normal go to has been Costco and or AJ's but, the wife and I had been looking for something different, a true butcher with quality meats more so beef as we grill literally every week. Ill start with the good or great. The staff was absolutely stellar 5 star, kind, informative , attentive, with the feel NY butcher. We end up buying all kinds of things , raw milk, sausage, roast beef, from the case, oils etc and 2 $146.00 Ribeye tomahawk steaks . While vastly more expensive than our go to's , I was happy to pay more while supporting local ,and getting something great. After preparing these steaks at room temp, cooking to a internal temp of 119 resting 12min with a compound butter, only to bite into one of the toughest, most flavorless steaks I've ever had the displeasure of making. The only saving grace was, we didn't have guests over, as I would have been mortified serving it. I made calls to friends in the neighborhood asking their experiences if any, only to get the same consensuses that the steaks were terrible and they haven't been back since. It hurts even saying that, nobody wants their product bashed, but for someone who spent almost 300.00 and 146.00 of that was 2 steaks , you need to hear it . Respectfully JE read more

A little birdie told me about their Friday sandwich situation (they make one sandwich of the day on Fridays, and it's first come, first serve / sells out quickly! I saw on their Instagram page that they had the Hot Italian coming up on a recent Friday and HAD to get it. I called first to make sure they still had them in stock before driving down, and ended up ordering the very last one!! I can honestly say that it was one of the best sandwiches that I've ever had. Obviously the meats were top quality and flavorful, but the toppings were delicious and it was made on Noble Bread - does it get any better than that? The sandwich was $20 but could easily feed two, and again, you get what you pay for! I also picked up some Bianco tomato basil sauce. I love that they carry a variety of locally made products, too. I mostly love this place. Quality meat, raw dairy, fresh pasta, great spices and friendly people. But I find it pretty damn offensive every time I am paying, that the tip options are so radical. My minimum spend is usually between 100-200 dollars. And the suggested tip options are insane. We're already paying top dollar and it's just awkward every time I go pay, the employee is staring at me and potentially judging the fact that I don't want to tip 15-25 dolllars when all I did was grab a bunch of stuff from the freezer. It makes me not want to come back. Set your tips to 3-5 dollars. I didn't come back for a few months because I was so turned off last time. Anyway, other than that, this place is great. I was in this little mall yesterday for brunch at BrunchnSip. We stopped in the coffees shop while waiting for our table. After brunch, we stopped in this meat market/butcher shop. NICE, NICE, NICE! They are small, but VERY nice cuts of lamb! I purchased 2 lamb merquez sausages and 2 lamb steaks! I had a sausage for lunch today...JUST delicious! It was tender, FLAVORFUL and yeah, did I say tender? The shop seems more geared to steaks, but I was UBER pleased at the selection of lamb---which seems a little tough to come by locally. No bison or chicken livers, but still nice shop. Spices were available. They had tongue which my friend asked about...geared to the cow, for sure. But a nice and decent butcher shop. read more

I'm grateful to social distancing for allowing me to discover incredible new places. While trying to support local while also staying home, we decided to place a meat order with Arcadia Meat Market. First, the experience was seamless. We went to the website to see the selections available. They have it ALL. The basics like chicken, ground beef, pork, steaks but then they also have unique options such as chorizo, carne asada, bacon burger patty's, etc. There is truly something for everyone on their menu. We ordered a variety of meats including chorizo, bacon burgers, ground beef, bratwurst, etc. Once the order was placed, we picked it up curbside. During normal business times, you would walk into their modern and fun meat market for a complete experience. However, during this Coronavirus situation, they have gone the extra mile and set up a curbside pick-up no-contact experience. They put the meat in the car and we were off. Now to the meat itself. A+. I've been pretty bored cooking every single meal at home and craving something fun and different. The Arcadia Meat Market gave me that experience. We made breakfast burritos with the chorizo and then truly were just as good if not better than restaurants! The quality of chorizo is delicious. It was the perfect amount of spice and it's nice to know that all their meat is non GMO, grass fed, etc. You can tell!! We will be grilling the bacon burgers tonight and I can't wait! Tl;dr the best meat is here. Ordered two things for the holidays - some strip steak for a tartare, and a perordered rib roast for Christmas. Both cuts of meat were insanely flavorful and were 100% worth what I paid. Yes it's a little more expensive than say a grocery store - but a $50 prime rib at a steakhouse vs the $30/lb you get from the bone-in roast here? Can't even compare when you do it right. Plus there's a wide variety of market goodies you can spice up as well. Got a really nice mustard and a black garlic salt for my roast that were killer. Right now it's a line whether you pre-ordered or walk-up, but either case they give you plenty of time to look around before you check out when it's your turn. Honestly the guys are super chill and it really feels like a welcoming neighborhood joint. Check-in + checkout is super streamlined, the website is clean, and they have a great selection of holiday offerings often when something big rolls around. It's so disappointing to my family to have to write this review, but others need to be aware of what happened because clearly, rectifying the situation is getting nowhere. We tried to reach out to Arcadia Meat Market about what happened and discuss it in person but the associate was dismissive about our concerns and wouldn't even look at the pictures we had taken to explain what our problem was with the meat we bought from them. The associate said they would reach out to the owner or manager about our issue and that we would be contacted however, that has never happened.  My father spent, in my opinion, WAY too much money on prime rib for our holiday dinner and the meat itself was impossible to serve or even consume for that matter. The meat was exceptionally fatty all throughout and even though we cooked it to perfection like we manage to do every single year for the past 25 years, this piece of meat he bought was just fat, raw and bloody even towards the ends. The amount of fat in this prime rib alone was nauseating. Would we consider this an almost $500 piece of prime rib? Absolutely not.  The price for the quality was outrageous.  We've been loyally shopping at Arcadia Meat Market for over two years and it's shocking that the owner or manager cannot seem to handle our situation or even say anything at all to us about what happened. Attached to this review is our receipt and pictures of the meat itself after it had been cooked and ask yourself, would you pay the amount on the receipt for meat that looks like that after being cooked? read more

I was eagerly awaiting my next need to make the trek from the West Valley to the Arcadia area so I could stop by this butcher shop. The opportunity finally presented itself about 8 days ago and boy was I disappointed with the ultimate result, sorry to say. I spent $134 on a rib-eye, strip, 2 brats, 2 lb package of sweet Italian sausages, 2lb package of breakfast sausage links and a loaf of sourdough. Bread was good but steaks and brats were major disappointment. Neither steak resembled a rib-eye, and both were tougher than an average top sirloins and not much flavor. Brats were more like shredded pork and no flavor. We Have yet to try other sausages and I will update review if they are any good. A note regarding the prices, I expected to pay premium price for a premium product. I was half right. I do not believe the Yelp $$ price ranking is correct, more like $$$ or $$$$. I much prefer to give glowing reviews and typically do not post negative reviews. But considering the expense vs. quality and their good yelp overall rating, I believed I should to share my experience. 8/17/21 Update: Nick the owner responded to my review and offered to make things right next time I am in the area. Arcadia Meat Market (AMM) offers an array of beef, pork, mutton, and poultry products--all sourced from organic, pasture-raised, grass-fed sources. That's the good news. The bad news is that the prices for said products will body slam your wallet. The budget-conscious shopper can still benefit from AMM's healthy selections by sticking to the offal (organ- and non-muscle meats) that they sell. Offal is not only more nutrient dense than muscle meat, but it is also dirt cheap! A large bag of chicken livers--enough for three meals--sells for only $5 to $8. A hefty pork heart is only $6. A bag of chicken feet is less than $4. Now that's economical! The knowledgeable staff can give you tips on how to cook these, too. Now back to my complaints. The parking lot--as has been noted by other reviewers--is akin to a war zone. One is always in peril of a collision or of running over a half-naked hot-yoga practitioner exiting the studio next door. This is not AMM's fault, but if you shop there, you have to navigate that parking lot. Once you make it out of the parking lot and into the butcher shop, you're cheek-to-jowl with all the other customers and have to wait for the butchers to finish with the hemming-and-hawing patrons before you can check out. So I visited the Arcadia Meat Market, a 25 minute ride, based upon a recommendation from a friend of mine, whose dad owned a meat company back in New York. Went online, checked out the products and their pricing and looked forward to getting a ribeye and a couple of pounds of their 70/30 chop meat, the prices weren't the same. The clerk, Zion, behind the counter asked me where I got those prices from and I told him on their website. He was argumentative and nasty, didn't believe me, so I pulled up exactly where I found them. Instead of being apologetic for having an outdated website, both he and the owner, Nick Addante, became even more belligerent. As if this was my fault. I told them they needed to work on their manners, to which Nick promised he could "teach me some manners!" REALLY DUDE? Totally unacceptable and some of the poorest behavior I've seen at a retail store. They need to do a better job of managing their online presence and their customer communication skills. If you look at the picture, I posted, how would one know that the website below the telephone number is invalid. REMOVE IT THEN OR FIX IT! A better response would've been, "Thank you for bringing that to our attention, sir. It's something we need to rectify. Sorry for the confusion!" P.S. I see from previous comments that these two issues have been discussed numerous times in the past. Staff arrogance/attitudes and online pricing discrepancies. Went to this place and met some of the coolest guys ever. I recently went back to eating grass fed meats from being vegan and I found this place on yelp. When I entered I met Travis Smith and right from the beginning I could tell that he loves his job and that this is a craft to him. He took the time to educate me, introduced me to other employees and the owner! All of these guys were cool and showed me cooking tips as well as other resources for quality foods. The owner was driven and I could tell that he is a great leader. The meat was fresh and high quality. This is my place of choice from now on! Okay so I do really like this place and enjoy the meats/products I've purchased from here. Two things for the lower rating. 1. The prices online aren't accurate (10$ vs 8 per lb of ground beef) again not a huge deal you don't shop here if you're on a budget 2. Enforce your social distancing rules! Your sign says two people at a time and all adults must wear a mask. You're even so kind as to provide free masks (that's amazing!) unfortunately you aren't backing that up. There's a fully grown adult man just mouth breathing in your store. No mask on. This state is exploding with covid. Either have rules and enforce them or don't. read more

I was excited to have a locally owned butcher shop in the neighborhood again. Went and picked up a few steaks (Angus as the wagyu was sold out) a few weeks ago (Jan 30th) and we ended up pretty disappointed. For the price per pound, I was expecting a lot less gristle and connective tissue. Nick was extremely friendly though. Technically, they're closed Tuesdays but he was nice enough to let myself and few other customers buy meat. I'll probably try them again, but maybe get some wagyu beef or pork next time. read more
