Very disappointing experience. The food was overpriced and had little to no flavor--I literally had to season it myself just to make it edible. We also ordered a fish plate, and it was not good at all and didn't seem cooked right, which made it even worse. When I asked for hot sauce, instead of the staff member just grabbing it, she told our waiter, which made it take even longer. The service felt awkward and unhelpful. When the waiter asked how everything was, we said it was "okay," and instead of addressing it, she later sent someone else over to ask us the same thing again, which didn't solve anything and just made things uncomfortable. Overall, not worth the $70 we spent at all. Definitely won't be coming back.

We got really good service. Our waitstaff stayed attentive and thoughtful keeping our coffee hot and with a genuine smile at that. I was pleased! I'm going to speak for the table since our guests aren't on yelp. My friends asked for a piece of fish, it was okay according to them. It was a smaller dish based on the price. And the veggies were unfortunately over done. My dish, pictured, was fantastic! I got tacos and chips and I was lucky because my plate was full, filling and delicious. So it seems that if you eat here you'll want to ask about the plate sizes. I really liked the grilled limes and lemons. I squeezed them over my fish and it was warm and scrumptious. The restaurant was really clean, the food came out altogether so we could eat together. I'd come back personally, I felt full when I left and I completely enjoyed myself.

Delicious Chilean sea bass! Great flavor.

One of my favorite places for seafood in the valley. I got the Chilean sea bass dinner and it was flavored perfectly with tender fish. It comes with bok choy and a side of rice. My friend got the halibut and it was delicious with a large portion. Both were recommendations from our waiter Lynn who was fantastic. Honestly this experience was so much better and half the cost of having Chilean sea bass at Francines. Highly recommend. The creme brulee was better than Francines, but I've had better.

Lobster roll and garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Delicious!

Ambiance is nice - kids "play" menu (to keep them preoccupied) is pretty in depth. Kids liked the multiple pages and they liked going to the oyster bar and lobster tank for stamps. Helps keep them preoccupied while we chatted with friends. Service is very attentive. Kids enjoyed their food. And we all enjoyed ours. I was craving a lobster roll and it hit the spot. Bread was buttery soft and crispy, lobster is fresh and tender. I come from California so I don't have a POV of authentic lobster roll but I can say I enjoyed it. Others got a pasta and grilled scallops and jumbo shrimp and can attest they are jumbo. Coming from California our Arizona friends found it funny we wanted seafood that's probably shipped from California... haha anyway it was all delicious! Would recommend.

I am from Maine, so I didn't come into this thinking I would experience sea food the way I do back home. That said, the food is among the better sea food one can get in the desert and was reasonably priced. We were here with a large group of friends and I cannot say enough good things about our servers, Jill and Marissa, who seriously hustled to meet the needs of a party of 25.

Had the sea bass grilled. Awesome! Very quick and friendly service. Nice open kitchen concept. Very clean. Nice booths. Had Brussel Sprouts and baked spinach for sides. Tasted great. Neat place to eat. Noticed they had an oyster bar. Looks like a neat place.

FANTASTIC!!!!! Scott McNeill is an awesome manager and was the reason we stayed! I can't tell you how good the food was. Do yourself a favor and stop in, tell scott I sent you and have a GREAT MEAL!!

Ordered take out for myself. Quick and painless to do so. I wanted pasta with scallops. It's not on the menu but they made it happen. The clam chowder was ok. Bland without adding some salt and pepper. The scallops were cooked to perfection tho and the pasta al dente. The butter cake was kinda crumbly but had a good like brown sugar crunch to it. I'd go back to try dining in to get the full restaurant vibes.

We were in town visiting friends and this was one of the places they took us for dinner. Since this was their home turf, we were in their hands. It is located in what I think is a mall, so there is plenty of parking. The space itself is huge, although there were not a lot of people there as we decided on having an early meal. The hostess was nice and our server was pleasant. Once we were seated, don't ask why, but the vibe I got was that we were at a seafood restaurant that gave off a Red Lobster or Chili's vibes....maybe it was the booth seating, not sure. I was happy to see that they had bubbles on the menu (Mionetto), so I ordered a split of that. For appetizer we started with a dozen oysters. While they were good and I do love oysters, the price blew me away as it was just shy of $40. They were good but not $37.50 good. Looking over the menu and based on the prices, the only thing that tempted me was the "World Class" Tuna Melt (Albacore tuna confit, grilled NY rye, tomato, Tillamook sharp cheddar). This was a good solid sandwich and most likely, if I was in town and happened back here, I would get it again. Prices were on the high side for me, seeing as I have that 'Red Lobster/Chili's" feel about the joint. For example, Filet Mignon & Lobster Tail was $78....you can get this in Chicago cheaper than this and I know places where the quality is not in question. The Farmed Colombian Tilapia and Mississippi Catfish were the cheapest fish options at $25 and they went up in price after that. Just my opinion, but when I go into a seafood restaurant and get a tuna melt, as good as it was, there is something amiss when that is the only viable choice as a dining option. I think that this is a good restaurant to stop at for a quick lunch or light dinner, but can't imagine throwing down price-wise what they are asking for seafood.

Visited Kings Fish House in Tempe for lunch on a Thursday. We were seated right away by a pleasant young man who showed us to a very large table in the back near the bar. Right away Devon met us at the table to take our drink order. When ordering the Miso Chilean Sea Bass, he wanted to make sure I knew how it was cooked, and after that he suggested the regular one just in case. We also ordered the two piece fish and chips. Everything was delicious, cooked to perfection. Our meals were also of large portion. We enjoyed the time there and will be back.

Not sure why this has such high reviews. Maybe because I come from California which may have fresh seafood, but the seafood was not fresh. Honestly, I ended up throwing away my Ciopino dungeoness crab and barely eating it. It wasn't terrible, just wasn't fresh at all, except the bread and the sauce was good. The calamari was okay and the only winner was the bleu cheese wedge salad. Service was very chill and there was only one person serving, so it was hard to leave when we needed. Otherwise, the place is spacious and good looking, with outdoor and indoor dining. Overall, I have to give a low review because the place should be known for the seafood, but only the wedge salad was good. Won't be coming here for another date.

    Warm bread and butter.

Could Pier 88 be my new favorite local spot for seafood boil???…read more Yes... yes it is! We ordered three pounds of head-on shrimp. Spice level was medium and went with the 88 Special seasoning (a combination of cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper) - AMAZING flavor!! Perhaps my favorite aspect was that their seasonings were not overly salty - I feel that most other seafood boil restaurants just include way too much salt in their seasonings... but at Pier 88, you can really indulge without feeling like you're going to end up with high blood pressure! Extras included corn, sausage, and potatoes... and those were all delicious as well! I couldn't have been happier with this meal... so I will definitely return again soon! This place looked like it did a good seafood boil and was located near where our hotel was. Upon entering we were greeted and sat right away. He ordered a shrimp basket while I ordered my usual snow crab. Heads up, all the supplies will be brought in the bottom of the discard bucket like gloves, lemons, and crab crackers. I wasn't aware of this, and placed all the discarded items on top of it while eating bareheaded as I didn't see supplies, and no one was around to ask. Usually places will bring on the side, and I wish I was told that in advance when it was brought to the table. It made for quite the mess, but if we return I'll know for next time. Once our server returned to check in after 10+ minutes that's when we were advised, and I adjusted though I had put my boil bag in there so most had been soiled. As for the food, he liked his shrimp while I thought the crab was okay in flavor/spice. It didn't really standout out like other places I've been to recently, but overall I would return if I was in the area.

Overall, the place has a fun vibe with lots of string lights and Japanese decorations. They have happy hour twice a day. We came during their 9-11PM happy hour (we love a late night happy hour!) Lots of options for sushi, drinks, and appetizers on the happy hour menu. The spicy tuna roll was a refreshing roll with just the spicy tuna, cucumber and rice. A simple roll that still has a good spicy flavor but not too overpowering that it takes over your meal. The Vegas roll is a classic if you like fried rolls! Can't go wrong with this one. The nigiri was top notch. The yellowtail nigiri quite literally melts in your mouth and the flavors are buttery and soft. It's my personal favorite whenever I want nigiri. The salmon nigiri was also very good. Slights sweet but if you add soy sauce it balances it out. The jjambong pot was so filling. We ate this after the sushi. It's enough to be shared with 2-3 people and includes a mix of some seafoods, enoki mushrooms, onions, and ramyeon with a spicy broth. The noodles were good, the broth was delicious and not too spicy if you're not a person that handles spice well. My only complaint is that we had about 6-7 mussels but only 2 pieces of shrimp. It would've been nice to have a more even distribution of the seafood but other than that the taste was amazing. With the happy hour it was incredibly affordable. Even without the happy hour I would definitely come here again. 10/10!!
