    Green Curry Chicken
    Roderick C.

It is a very small restaurant and intimate. It ws very tastefully decorated. The ambience was warm and inviting and comfortable and the seating was very comfortable. The restaurant is very clean.. This restaurant intentionally makes you feel like you been invited into their home. The servers were very pleasant and accommodating. They were very well organized and the dishes were prepared with flare, and the presentation was like work of art. They take pride in everything they serve because I also observed many dishes of other patrons and was quite impressed. My wife ordered the crab fried rice and it was astounding. It did not need a thing but exploding in the perfect blend of flavors, and it was a very large portion. One could give it a sprinkle of lime or dash of soy sauce to give it nice pop but not needed. I ordered for the first time ever Green Curry Chicken and I didn't really know what to expect. I just saw it on a cooking show and it looked and sounded good. I ordered mine at a level 3 heat range. It's 1-5 for levels of heat. The curry sauce had a nice hot spicy edge to it but not overwhelming, there was lots of chicken an the veggies were so fresh and distributed in the broth amply, and the broth distinct in it's own right and so delicious and the spices were evenly balanced. It was quite lovely... There were so many things I saw that I want to try in the future. I did notice that the Pad Thai was a popular dish and looked very pretty the was that they presented it.

I really enjoyed Sala Thai. My favorite dish was the Khao Soi. The chicken was extremely tender, the curry was flavorful, and the egg noodles were nice and crispy. I would definitely order this dish again. I liked the drunken noodles and apps, but I think I would try some other dishes on their menu next time. It has a great vibe inside and is nicely decorated. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I love how they ensure you have enough water throughout the meal. Also it was amazing to see a BYOB in Arizona too. It was really convenient that CVS is next door. I'm looking forward to coming back here!

My friend and I had dinner here on a Friday night. It's a small restaurant and it was full, so we put our name on the wait list and got a text confirmation when our table was ready. Only had to wait 13 minutes so not inconvenient. I ordered my go-to: drunken noodles with tofu, spice level 4/5 and an order of crab wontons. The appetizer was tasty and a nice balance to my spicy dish. I like the sweet and sour sauce that comes with it. My dish tasted great and was definitely spicy. Only thing was it seemed like a small serving, there was a lot of space on the plate. Service was friendly and efficient. I've been to their Phoenix location and had ordered the same thing, good to know they are consistent across the valley!

This place was way better than we expected in whole in the wall strip mall off broadway (without sounding too judgy). Service was awesome, food was delish and some of the best Thai we've had in Phx. I liked they had some unique items and the presentation was on point.

We tried the pork skewers from the street food menu, and they were appetizer-sized but absolutely delicious -- definitely a 10/10. The Thai fried chicken was crispy and flavorful (8/10), while the Pad See Yew was just average for me (5/10). This location doesn't serve alcohol, but they do allow you to bring your own, which is a plus. The décor is simple but pleasant. The downside was the ambiance -- very noisy, which I'd rate 3/10. Service was friendly and efficient (8/10). Overall, I'd come back again to try other dishes, especially since the flavors of the pork skewers really stood out.

    Drunken noodles

This was absolutely amazing and so sad they don't offer delivery because I would be getting food all the time. Ordered the drunken noodles and my friend ordered another dish. So so good! Small inside but seems authentic and welcoming.

Found this place on social media and glad I checked it out! The food here is pretty delicious! The papaya salad was refreshing and light. The skewers in the second dish were a bit chewy but the flavor was really good. I always love to order the stir fried glass noodles and this one was really tasty! Not sure if people usually use teriyaki sauce in their glass noodle dish. I personally like it because the noodles were more flavorful in this combination. This restaurant has a really small seating space. But overall, it feels really cozy to hang out with friends and family.

Sala Thai may be our new favorite Thai place! The online ordering wasn't working (maybe because it was within an hour of closing) so we placed our order via phone. We ordered the chicken potstickers ($7 for 6), Pad Kee Mow with Beef ($16 +$2 extra for beef= $18), and Chicken Panang Curry ($17). We ordered the Pad Kee Mow and Curry at level 4 Spicy (Spice level 1-5 or Thai hot). The Chicken Potstickers were standard potstickers; not sure whether they are made in house or are frozen. They were on the crispier (almost burnt) side. The Chicken Panang Curry was on par with our favorite Thai place. Spice level 4 left a spicy aftertaste but it wasn't so spicy that it overpowered the taste. I think it was a good level! We were especially impressed with the Pad Kee Mow and the wok hay. The extra $2 on beef is worth it, as they use a nice, tenderized cut, higher quality than most! It did reheat a bit oily the next day, but still delicious! Looking forward to trying more things on the menu!

This place is truly a hidden gem. Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday at 12pm when they first open. The restaurant is small with cute decor. The restaurant filled up pretty fast right when they open. We ordered multiple different dishes to share and everything was delicious. My favorite dish was the Pad See Ew and the Beef salad. If you're in the area I would recommend stopping by. They open until 11pm on Thursday-Saturday to satisfy those late night cravings!!

What a hidden gem! I attended with my friend yesterday and was so pleasantly impressed. The ambience was so beautiful with such amazing Thai decor. The menus were the best I have had in a while, with such beautiful images of all the dishes. Felt very high end, but had the best affordable prices. Service was super friendly and recommended BYOB, so we went to CVS and got some beer! I will 100% be coming back

Writing this review after months and completely regretting why it slipped out of my mind to write up! Oh well, visited this place late december on a lazy sunday. Perfect time to visit as it wasnt too crowded. But, must i say the place is CUTE! Doesnt seem to have too much seating maybe capacity of 20ish.. but its comfy i might add. This is by far THE BEST thai restaurent I have visited. The servers and owner are so humble and recommended the perfect dishes. Portion sizes def do justice, but the taste, oh my! It'll transport you. It got just the right amount of spices, salt, gravy consistency. Nothing too less, nothing too much! We ordered the crab wontons, ofcourse! The spicy basil leaves with eggs and the Khao soi. Deliciousness!! We didnt have room for dessert, else would have def tried it! We also got our picture clicked on the wall, which was an adorable touch! This place perfect for any outing, be it a family fun outing, or a date night or friends catch up or just a lazy sunday cozy meal time date! Do visit it and try out their delicious, authentic Thai dishes!

Back again. This time we went with the street food options and they did not disappoint! The Thai Fried Chicken was amazing, as was the khao soi (curried noodles) and the spicy basil leaves with fried egg. Our server made recommendations for us (at our request) and she did a great job in highlighting some of the awesome dishes here. We had 3 dishes (they aren't huge which is good) and we still had leftovers for 2 of them! A nice tasty snack for later. Also a must mention is that this place is BYO! Fantastic to see this becoming a more population for restaurants and diners.

It's pretty limited, so I had to park a bit further away. In terms of food and service, Thai Basil did a great job. Our server was very patient while we figured out what to order. I went for the Chicken Pad Thai and stuck with water as my drink. I was pleasantly surprised when the food started coming out because I expected it to take longer. I'd say it took about 15 minutes, even during lunch rush. My Chicken Pad Thai was delicious. The serving size was good and it came with a spring roll on the side. The price isn't bad at all either. It was basically $16 after tax for my lunch. I'd definitely come here again on my own.

Parking was easy, but unfortunately the service was the worst part of the visit. I sat down to look at the menu and place a to-go order, only to be told to move to another seat. A simple order of pad thai and spring rolls took exactly 42 minutes. After several follow-ups, no one told me the food was ready until I walked up to the counter myself. Overall, a frustrating experience, and I would not recommend it with other Thai restaurant options nearby.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Smile Thai Cuisine 2107 S. Rural Road Tempe, 85282 I last visited this restaurant more than 10 years ago, so it was time for a new review. Upon entering I immediately noticed that the inside has totally changed. The entrance seems to be filled with a bar and a cash register and the tables have moved to the side. We started off with an appetizer of chicken satay. Long thin strips of chicken threaded onto skewers and served with a peanut sauce. It was a tasty dish though a bit difficult to get off the wooden skewers. For companions main course, ordered was pork cashew nuts. The dish had a melange of vegetables in a chile/garlic sauce. Companion enjoyed it be was unable to finish the dish because the portion was large. I ordered duck curry. I asked for it to be spicy, but unfortunately it was anything but that. The sauce was thin and without body and had an assortment of veggies in it along with some duck. At the bottom of the bowl I found a leg of duck. The dish was served with white rice which I promptly added to the sauce in an attempt to soak up some of it, but alas, it was to no avail. For drinks, we both ordered Thai Tea, which was properly made. It is served in tall jars, and neither of us could drink it all. If you have real Thai food that is Thai hot, Thai Tea will get rid of the heat on your palate in less than a minute. Cleanliness is a bit of a question, as our table had some old food encrusted on the edge. 3 Stars
