I was recommended this place by so many people and was so excited to come try it out, and it was such a let down for me. Since it's called a dumpling house, I wanted to try a bit of selections that yiu probably can't ordinarily get other places. I ordered their signature dumplings, they were pretty good, and comparable to some other places. Ordered the Dan Dan noodles, it was literally a huge bowl of noodles and a sprinkle of meat, fairly dissatisfied with the amount of meat that was given. There's other surrounding noodle places that easily give atleast 4oz of meat. Which still isn't much but it's better than a sprinkle. Noodles itself were a good texture. I also ordered their meat pie/pancake looking thing. I guess there is pork in there and I was so excited to try it since it's rated so high. First bite I was like okay pretty good, then I opened up the crepe like pieces to see there was hardly any meat! How can this be a meat pie with skimpy amounts of meat... As I continued to chew, I realized the pork in it tasted, sour. Like the sour taste you get with spoilage or on the verge of. So, I discreetly asked a server if there was anything in this that would give a sour taste and she said she's actually never eaten it so she's not sure. A male server came over and said no it shouldn't be sour, then took it away. I did find it odd that I was able to detect the sour taste to it with such limited amount of meat in it. All in all, I don't think I'd be attending this place again and will continue to go to Happy Bao across the way instead.
Pro-tip: If you pay with cash, you get a 10% discount. They are closed in the middle of the afternoon for a break so check their business hours prior to going. Highlights: The service is nice and quick, the food comes out rather quickly. They have a large menu. Our favorite dishes were the Kung pao chicken and the stir fried string beans and the cold dishes are a good value. Lowlights: I was disappointed in the basic staples that they offered. The Dan Dan noodles were very vinegary and lacked any other flavor, the steamed buns barely had any filling and the bun itself was not tasty, and the dumplings were a bit on the doughy side.
Recently started exploring Mesa's Asian District and it has not disappointed! One of the top places so far has to be Kofu Dumpljng House. Make sure to enter your name and number in the kiosk when you get there. The restaurant has limited seating, but is worth the wait! You can either order from the qr code at your table or through your server (or request your server to come by through that link). This last time, we got the Guo Bao Pork, Large Bowl of Wontons, House Special Beef Noodle Soup, and Beef and Scallion Steamed Buns. The Guo Bao Pork is a must try, and one of my party liked it so much she was scooping the sauce from the plate into the container to get every last bit! The beef noodle soup is one of my favorites, as the meat is super tender and the noodles perfect - thicker than ramen, but cooked well. This and the steamed dumplings are highlights. My only knock is that the meat to noodle/meat to dumpling ratio is not as high as desirable for me. This was my first time getting the wonton soup, and while good and having plenty of pork filled wonton, didn't wow like the other dishes. The service is quick and friendly and the prices more than fair. Highly recommend!
Dinner before a movie. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by one of the servers and sat. We started off with their Chinese beef burrito (beef roll). Then for our main course we tried their Dan Dan noodles & House Specialty dumpling (Pork, Shrimp & chives). The beef roll was full of braised beef and light brushing of hoisin sauce and cilantro and the dan dan noodles had a nice amount of sesame sauce but needed a little more chili oil and the dumplings were full. Everything was season fairly well. It would have been nice to have vinegar available table side. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Since we were headed out to the movies, we couldn't take home our left overs, which we had plenty of. It's a medium size store front and appeared to be clean and orderly. Definitely would go back to try other things.
We absolutely hate to do this because the service was SO great and the people were very kind! The food that we had was below satisfactory. The chicken wonton soup was tasteless and the beef had a funk to it and was extremely fatty:/ for $43.00 it was not worth it! The food that was sitting in the case at the entrance, looked like it needed to be completely replenished because it was all nasty looking. I'm so sorry to leave this review but I wish we would've known before coming!
This is the spot! I always get more than I can eat! Lol because it is so good! You know when a spot is great? When there people waiting to eat before they even open. I'm had the soup dumplings and my spouse had fried rice-- both were amazing!
Update, I came back and got the guo bao pork dish to go and sad it took me this long to try it. It was amazing and I thought getting it to-go, I'd have to air-fry it, but it held up! There's a chewy texture with a sweet and sour sauce to it that I love and it comes with a side of white rice. It was easy to call to place the order and this will be in the rotation for dinners.
I ordered the beef and scallion dumplings, which I kept calling noodles, but they were delicious and they were dumplings perfect texture. OK the dumplings were perfect texture. What else? Definitely a spot everyone must try at least once the food is so good. I can't even tell you how good this food was. The water was refreshing and the hot tea was hot. I could see it at the other table. It was hot even though I didn't order it next time I will it's a reasonable price as well. Everything is reasonably priced to be honest here a great value for the amount of food that you receive it's amazing and the spicy is actually pretty spicy. There It was delicious. Highly recommended. We will be back every day for the next month. No, I'm kidding, but we will definitely come back.
Hand made noodle dumpling, so I thought I give it a try. Ordered signature dumplings, szechwan beef noodle, seafood noodle, and house wonton noodle soup. Little disappointed that my dumpling did not come as appetizer, maybe I should have clarified. Dumpling was not too bad. Flavor was pretty good, but man I don't know if it was worth the price. My szechwan spicy beef soup was pretty good. Broth was nice and spicy and huge portion of noodles which I liked. Now for the other noodle dishes, broth tasted same. Broth was more on the blend side and almost tasted more of the flower than flavorful broth. I wish the broth was more flavor. But did have large portion of noodles. Over all the szechwan noodle dish was pretty good but rest was subpar. I would like to think the noodles were handmade but I didn't get that taste and feeling, who knows I could be wrong about the noodles.. I probably won't come back here.
So good! Stopped by today while in the area and ordered spicy chili wontons, signature dumplings and the Chinese beef burrito. Suuuuper good, friendly servers too. Chinese burrito and the wontons are bomb would for sure go back

Trying another new Chinese restaurant. This one specializes in Northern China food, and my friend who's from that region recommended it to me. Of course I must try it. Ok. I will list in order and comment on each one. Grilled eggplant and potatoes: This is a typical Northern Chinese dish. The eggplants are tender and flavorful. The potatoes are really good too. Guo Bao Pork: Another typical Northern Chinese dish. It's like sweet and sour pork, but much better in my opinion. Lightly fried. No dipping sauce needed. It's a little sweet but not sour. You can taste a little ginger, but not a lot. Fried crispy pork: Typical Northern Chinese dish. Just what the name suggests. Very good. Pretty sure you will like it. Cabbage&Pork Soup Dumplings: It's ok. Nothing so write home about. Not Northern Chinese dish. Kinging Meat Pie: I really like this one. Very good! We also ordered other stuff, but these are the ones I remember. Overall I would recommend this place to my friends that want to have good authentic Northern Chinese food.
We were celebrating a bday. We told them we needed a table for 8. They tried to put us in the little rooms that sits up to 6. Thanks goodness, they were able sit us in a table that fit us. We ordered so much these are the only things I can remember, we had 2 of a lot of the dishes: Chinese Beef Burrito, Mapo Tofu, Crispy Pork, Pork pan fried dumplings, Pork pan fried dumplings, Beef noodle soup, Pork and cabbage soup dumplings, & Dandan noodles. All the food was salter than I like, but everyone else in the table agreed. The service was ok. Do you have to get their attention a lot if you need anything.

AMAZING DUMPLINGS! I came here for a girl's night and was so impressed! Every single dish was absolutely delicious, and you could tell the dumplings were home made. Cucumbers were simple, but a good fresh addition to the meal with the chili oil. The steamed buns were so fresh and soft, with lots of filling. The honey walnut shrimp were huge and so crispy. My friends thought the dan dan noodles were okay, but I loved them! A lovely sesame flavor. Service was okay, but it got the job done. I will be craving this restaurant again and definitely come back for some fresh dumplings. read more

I can confidently say my husband has been here once a week, every week since they've opened. His go to's are the Pork and Scallion Dumplings (12 for $10.99) and Cabbage and Pork Soup Dumplings (10 for $9.99). We've also had the Braised Pork Belly ($15.99), Pan Fried Pork Pot Stickers (8 for $8.99), Jingdong Meat Pie ($12.99), Pork Steamed Buns (6 for $13.99), Chicken and Mushroom Steamed Buns (6 for $12.99), and Large Bowl of Wontons (12 for $13.99). We usually order online and there is a $1 convenience fee. You can order for free on the kiosks or when you go in. Depending on who is working, the employee will ask for the order number or a picture of your order (not sure what picture the employee was asking for). The dumplings taste homemade and not frozen/store bought like most places. They're good, not great. They are expensive at (mostly) $1/dumpling, adding up quickly. They are owned by a sweet woman, so we're always happy to support local! read more
This place has some good food and staples. I really like the xiao long bao here and the beef burrito. The beef noodle soup had good noodles and soup but the beef is a little fatty. The Dan Dan noodles have an interesting flavor, different from what I'm used to. read more

Been wanting to try this place and I'm glad we did! We ordered the cucumber salad with crushed garlic, red chili wontons, house special beef noodle soup, and the chinese beef burrito. The food came out quick and hot, and our server was nice and helpful. My favorite dish was the red chili wontons - the wontons themselves were flavorful and juicy, and the sauce was complex. Not that spicy, but delicious. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful without being too salty, a compliment I don't get to say often. The only things I would change would be to marinate the cucumbers a little longer, cook the noodles a little shorter (so they're bouncier), and add more cilantro to the burrito. Other than that, a very literal and soul nourishing meal! read more
Place was very clean. We ordered a bunch of dishes and everything was honestly amazing! As a "dumpling house" I thought maybe only the dumplings would be good and everything else would be subpar, but I was pleasantly surprised that every dish we ordered was great. Kofu Dumpling House Been wanting to try this place for sometime during trips to the other restaurants in that Plaza. Finally made it on a Sunday afternoon, not too busy as we were seated right away and more than half of the restaurant was empty. . Red Chili Wonton, we ordered with mild spice and had a few hot chili oils that gave it a little kick. Other than that, it was a solid choice. Signature Dumplings were pretty plain even with the dipping sauce Braised Pork Belly was good with the gravy, fairly tender, a better dish that they serve. I've been wanting to try Kofu for a while and was finally in the area. I stopped in for an early dinner on a weekday and it wasn't busy at all. Ordering is quick and easy with the QR code and the food came out quickly. I ordered the green beans, beef dry pot, and signature dumplings. Everything was really tasty! The green beans were fresh with some pork and garlic for flavor and cooked perfectly. The dry pot was also excellent and had a good amount of tender beef, veggies, tofu, and fish cake. Lastly, the signature dumplings were clearly homemade and excellent as well. Service was attentive and the restaurant was very clean. I only tried a small subset of the menu but will definitely be back to try more! read more

Honestly pretty decent place to get your dumpling fix! There are plenty of seating in the restaurant, if you need a bigger table they have only two so maybe call ahead to check on availability. The menu is pretty extensive and there are a lot of items that I liked: the xiao long baos are good (dumpling skin on the ticker side), the spicy wontons are delicious, the chicken dry pot is great! Also liked the garlic noodles. The spicy beef noodle soup was just ok for me, felt like there was too much chili oil sitting on top of the broth. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us regularly. read more
We were looking to try a different restaurant in the area but weren't able to because they seemed to be closed around the time we went, so we looked around to see what else there was and stumbled upon this place and said why not. After looking over the menu, we decided to order a whole bunch of dishes to share. What we ordered: Shredded bean curd salad: 3/5 This dish was overly salty for us and the bean curd was a little tough from what we're normally used to. Wood ear mushroom salad: 3/5 Loved how plentiful this was. Same as the bean curd salad, it was a bit overly salty for our preferences, but we loved the abundance of garlic there was. Cabbage and pork soup dumplings: 4/5 The dumpling skin was thicker than preferred, the amount of meat though was adequate, and it wasn't overly juicy. Red chili wontons: 5/5 Our favorite dish that we've tried here so far! The wontons had a good amount of filling. The wonton skin wrapper was perfect, not too thin or too thick, and the spice was not too "mala". DanDan pork noodles: 2/5 You mostly taste the peanutty flavor at first and then get hit with a subtle hint of spice and sourness after. This is one of those dishes I would recommend finishing in one sitting. It loses a lot of the initial flavors if taken as leftovers. Braised pork rib: 4/5 A solid dish you can't go wrong with. The meat was tender and easily fell off the bone. I wish there were more spices but to each their own. The service was fast and attentive, but we did go during lunchtime and there weren't many other tables at the time. The interior was bright and clean, otherwise not much else for the atmosphere, which is okay. Overall, this restaurant is a decent choice if you're in the mood for comfort food. read more
Wasn't shure what to expect. I'm a big dumpling fan and pretty picky. I went in and ordered a variety. Some I've never had before. WOW! I was not disappointed! You come into a small, but very clean, restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful with describing the menu, and some suggestions. I ordered the soup dumplings, dan dan noodles, walnut shrimp,and the house noodles. Yes, enough for 2 to 3 people. I WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED! Never had dan dan before. They were awesome. You like heat, they have it. The noodles were cooked to perfection. Firm with a nice chew. Flavor was great! Nice heat First time having the walnut shrimp. What a delight! Crunchy and sweet walnuts. The batter on the shrimp was light and crispy. The shrimp were cooked to perfection! Plump and juicy. The dumplings were very flavorful and the wrapper was thin. Only thing is, they were tiny. Happy Bao are twice the size and I set my standard by them! The house special chow main was very good! Great flavor, and once again, the noodles were on point! When i sat down, I looked at the little tray with soy sauce and chili oil. The chili oil was almost gone. I was thinking they were lacking in the table prep and maintenance. I was wrong. The chili oil is almost nuclear. Doesn't take much! The service was great, the food was exceptional, and the price was reasonable. This place is awesome read more
Five of us checked out KOFU Dumplings House on Saturday night since we heard it was their soft opening. We got there around 6 PM, and luckily, it only took about 10 minutes to get a table. The place is bright and roomy, with a nice setup. They've got two little semi-private areas for bigger groups, along with a mix of regular and high tables, which is cool. We kept it simple this time and ordered some appetizers, dumplings, and noodles. Most of the food was really good! But we weren't big fans of the soup dumplings or the wonton noodles--they didn't really hit the spot for us. Everything else was delicious, though. The only downside was that we all felt super thirsty afterward, which was kind of a bummer. We might come back to try other dishes, but hopefully, that "thirsty" feeling won't happen again. read more
I saw an ad on IG and wanted to try out this new place My group of 4 came at 12:15 and had a table immediately without waiting. Just 15 minutes later, there is a long line and until when we finish dining, people are still waiting. You can either order on app or someone will show up to take order. Then you pay at the cashier. What I really like is the fast and friendly service. Water came in jugs with cups. They were refilled immediately when jug became empty. Our table has jugs. I ordered an intestine dry pot 5/5. If you ask for rice then rice is free! My dry pot comes with many ingredients and I couldn't finish it even though that was my main meal. I also had mushroom and chicken steamed dumplings. They were soft and juicy 5/5. My table ordered the rest of the meals. Everything was so cheap. Six large steam buns cost $14. I took home the dry pot. My friends took home dan dan noodles, pot stickers and steamed buns. I would definitely recommend this place and will come back in the future. read more

Recommend: Yes, good place to try something out Food: I got take out so the food was good but not "omg I have to come back immediately". Service: they were nice. They offered me 10% discount for signing up for their membership. Ambiance: it's nice and clean I was just passing by and saw this restaurant. I was intrigue. I didn't hear about this place was having their grand opening. Food overall wasn't terrible but I did take out so the food isn't as fresh vs dining in. The staff were really nice. I didn't try their dumplings but I did try their beef noodle soup and Chong Qing Chicken. But I don't think that's a good option for take out since it wasn't as crunchy. Overall food was good still. Not horrible. But I wasn't entirely overly impressed as well. But they did say they're still changing things around so the menu might change a bit. And I gotta go back to try their dumplings since it is a dumpling house lol. read more

Kofu specializes in food from Northeast China, so it's a bit different from some of the other Chinese food spots nearby. I'd recommend trying the Guo Bao Rou, which is a crispy, sweet pork dish. The serving sizes are pretty big here, and I ended up having to take leftovers of the Guo Bao Rou and the A choy home. The service was quick and friendly, and the new restaurant is clean. There's lots of parking so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding a spot. I wanted to order a couple of appetizers, but because I went late in the evening, they were out by the time I got there. After a great meal here yesterday, I return to try their dumplings. I tried to avoid the crushed cucumber and ordered the sliced spicy pig ears but it was sold out. So I had Sliced beef & tripe in chili sauce and Shredded bean curd. For dumplings, I ordered the Signature (pork, shrimp and chives). The hand rolled skin made them really tasty and the ingredients were fresh. This is my favorite Chinese eatery in town now. Had to wait in a relatively short line to get in. Had a decent amount of seasoning & was clean. My favorite thing was probably the red chilli oil wontons! Good flavor to them. Potstickers and chicken were also decent. Wasn't a huge fan of the mungbean noodles but maybe I just don't like mungbean in general. Texture is too squishy/soft for me. The sesame sauce in it was decent tho! read more
