    Sweet and Sour Chicken
    Christine B.

We tried this local spot recently and I'm happy to report that we had a great meal. The veggie rolls came out crisp and hot - perfect for two people to share. I had the sweet and sour chicken. It was nice to find that the chicken wasn't breaded and fried. They will ask what spice level you prefer, so that's adjustable. Portions are generous and the servers were friendly.

Mango curry (top) and sweet potato/peanut curry. Both delicious.

Luckily we are staying in a resort that is walking distance to this restaurant. The restaurant was very clean and waitress was friendly. But more importantly-the food was FANTASTIC!

I came here with my wife and daughter. Note: the hours on the door are listed, 11-9. The hours on the website show they close between 3:30 & 4:30 which they do. We got there at 4:30. The decor is quite unremarkable except for the fountain in the middle of the restaurant. They have a TV displaying pictures of their menu items There was no background music. We started off with a couple appetizers. Fresh rolls and crab won tons The fresh rolls are spring rolls filled with crispy shrimp, lettuce, herbs, bean sorouts, shredded carrot, and rice noodles, wrapped in thin rice paper and served with peanut sauce. The crab won tons are fried puffs filled with a crab cream cheese filling served with sweet and sour sauce. The fresh rolls were nicely crafted and made with fresh ingredients. I didn't care to use the peanut sauce, but used a little soy sauce instead. The crab won tons were fried to a crispy golden brown. The filling was creamy and flavorable. I chose the PAD PIK SOD for the main course. This is a stir fry made with yellow onions, sliced jalapeños. green onions, bell peppers, fresh mushrooms, in a garlic chili sauce. You can choose a meat option for an extra cost. I chose pork. You can choose the spice level from 1 to 5. I went with a 4. It comes with a cup of rice. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. And the spice added pizzazz to the dish. There was just enough broth to flavor the rice. I already have next 3 dishes picked out for when I return.

This place is right down the road from us and we have driven by it umpteen bazillion times so why not check it out? My Step daughter was visiting from out of state and loves Thai food so my husband and I took her there for dinner. We arrived shortly before 4:30 and they were closed....odd because their website said they were open. Apparently they close between 3:30 and 4:30. No biggie, we waited. There is ample seating , light music playing and a fountain with plants in the middle of the restaurant. After we were seated we ordered Teo appetizers. The fresh rolls and the crab wontons. The fresh rolls were stuffed with crisp veggies, shrimp and served with a side of peanut sauce. The crab wonton were crispy and delicious. I ordered the orange chicken with broccoli which came with a side of white rice. The chicken was hot and crispy. The orange sauce was sweet, tangy and complemented the chicken nicely. Paired with the rice it made a great meal. Our server was friendly and attentive and we will be back to try more menu items!

Let's see.. Where do I begin. I came here long time ago and have not returned due to horrible service. Could not remember if it was any good so I thought I give it another chance. Let's start off with price.. No lunch specials... Fine.. Pad Thai with chicken $14.99 Kao Soi which was recommended $12.99. Order of fresh roll for appetizer $5.99. Extra side of rice $3.50 (which I found out after I got the bill). Fresh roll was OK. Dipping sauce was blend with some fish flavor. Then to the main dishes... Well I was surprised to see both dishes came in a plastic disposable bowl. Since when does pad Thai get served in a bowl. Pad Thai not the worst not the best. Little on the too sweet side and very runny sauce. Then Kao Soi, yellow curry with egg noodle and chicken. I ordered Thai hot... Well there was no spice to it what so ever.. I had to ask the server if I ordered Thai hot.. Curry flavor was very mild and could barely taste it.. I like my food hot temperature wise... But not hot to the point of almost spitting my food out hot. Over all the food was blend and way over priced for the amount and quality of food you get. Not to mention $3.50 for extra side of jasmine rice.. I mean I have paid $2 before but $3.50? For real.. And that also came in Styrofoam cup. So you get 5% off if you pay cash.. So my blend Thai food in a plastic bowl was $39.99 not including tip. Now I remember why I never came back to this place again...

I'm typically a fan of Thai food, this place was decent. Not the best ever, certainly not the worst. I had pad thai with chicken satay as the appetizer, neither was mind blowing. The pad thai was a bit strange and atypical. The sauce was not your standard peanut-based variety, but a very odd and horribly sweet sauce I wasn't able to figure out. Maybe tamarind based? Regardless, very strange and NOT for pad thai. The chicken (both in the pad thai and the satay) was not great. Pretty dry and chewy. It's not the worst, but I'm picking on it a bit because it should be much better at a price point of nearly $20 per plate. The server was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is a little strange as well. It's not particularly well-dressed inside, and there was loud Christian bible music playing the whole time. A very odd choice for a Thai restaurant. Just bizarre atmosphere.

Much to our dismay, the restaurant was closed to focus on catering. Luckily, though, It reopens for pop-ups. This morning I saw an Instagram post announcing that there would be a brunch pop up today, so we got up and got ready to go. It really is tucked away in the corner of plaza and goodbye Safeway. Inside is a small dining room with a bar, and through the rolling doors is a patio with outdoor seating. You can see the kitchen through the plexiglass divider, and there is bar seating along the divider so you can watch the cooking. There's a great, colorful mural on one wall and some fun lighting fixtures and art. Today's pop up was packed when we arrived. We grabbed the last two chairs which were on the bar overlooking the kitchen. The menu had seven choices. Of course we ordered two different things so we could share, but we skipped cocktails. We ordered: *Steak chilaquiles Christmas style (both red and green chile) served with a side of beans and talked with an egg *Green chili pork hash served with a side of beans talked with an egg Both were delicious! We both ordered scrambled eggs, and I'm pretty sure it was more than an egg. I'm not sure how they cook those eggs but they were the best ever. The pinto beans had green chili in it and was so good. I'm from New Mexico, and these tasted like the beans that you rarely find outside of New Mexico. The steak on my chilaquiles was really good - - thin sliced and tender. I was able to easily cut it with just a butter knife. The pork in the hash was so yummy. What are scrumptious brunch! It was nice to sit overlooking the kitchen, as it was quite a show to watch the chef. I was amazed at how over easy eggs were tossed and caught in the pan without the yolks breaking. Heck, I can't even flip eggs with a spatula without breaking the yolk! Anytime I've overlooked a chef cooking, I'm totally in awe of their amazing skills, and this was no different. I really recommend Tucked Away, just as I did when it was a regular restaurant. Follow them on Instagram to be alerted to pop ups. You won't regret it!

This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.
