We truly enjoy stopping by to try the new brews on tap. It's a fun way to celebrate 'getting the errands done'. The bartenders are always informative and courteous and we enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and diversity. Thanks for the Mesa location! read more

Really good beer! My personal favorite is the Hop Chowda which is a hazy & hoppy IPA. But careful kids - it's a 6.5% alcohol beer... Nice indoor / outdoor vibe with garage style doors that open up during nice weather. Service is good too. They don't have food, but you can bring your own in with you (there is a Mod Pizza next door and an In-N-Out across the parking lot). read more

Great beer, food from local neighbors. We had Hawaiian it was good. XxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Goldwater holds a special place in my heart. A friend and I once were like wait we like beer and it's gold so this place has to be gold and boy were we right. So many amazing selections and catchy names. I mean "Hop Chowda" "Birthday Suit", you can't go wrong and David pores a great beer. Inside/outside seating, a few TVs and bring your own food. They host a truck on Thursday's I believe. Go and enjoy a cold beer. read more

This taproom is a fun spot. They don't serve food or snacks but isn't a problem as there are take out restaurants in the same strip mall. We ordered their pale ale ( Damas de Oro) and the Hop Chowda (hazy IPA) we also got some tacos and chips from Some Burros to enjoy why we watched the NCAA basketball tournament. The place was packed and we were there at 330 on Sunday. read more

Goldwater Longbow is one of my favorite breweries in the valley, I gladly drive all the way from Queen Creek at least once a month. I've tried a couple different beers from them, but my favorite is $100 Pills, it's great! Although they don't offer food items, they do allow you to bring in outside food and there are plenty of options within walking distance. read more

Let me just say, I am grateful for this taproom. This has become a weekly/biweekly spot for my partner and I. They have great beer on tap and also have beers in a case from other spots and wine. They don't offer food BUT, you can bring food. There are a few options just next door to bring in. There are tables and chairs inside and outside. The service is great and know their customers. And the best part of this spot, they allow dogs not only outside, but inside as well! Check it out! read more

Love this spot in northeast mesa. Great vibes and beer for an afternoon spot to hangout. The merch is also very tempting and occasionally they have food trucks. Regardless plenty of food nearby to grab and bring in if hungry. read more

Have not been to this location over 1 year! We stopped in for happy hour this past week on a Friday and was SHOCKED To see this place was PACKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had no choice but to sit outside on very unfordable table and chair I really wish they invested in some nice outdoor sofa chairs to enjoy the weather. The patio was also almost full but lucky my wife and I found a spot. No tv's were outside and no one came out to turn on the extra heaters around so we decided to leave because it was WAY to cold. My beer was very fresh and nice and cold and this place looks great still! The decoration style is very on point and this place is very clean. read more

I tend to stop in every once in awhile. There is always plenty of beers to choose from. The bartenders Davey Dave, Jimbo, Janice, Andy and TayTay always provide an excellent service. Like to take friends and family here when they are in town! read more

I really enjoyed this brewery while on my trip to Arizona. I was in Mesa and looking to escape the heat with a cold beer. Found Goldwater Brewing and I'm glad I did. They have a large variety of beers, I definitely like their selection of IPA's, Seven Sea's IPA was my favorite. The customer service was great, the brewery was clean and it has a nice outside patio. No food here but the complex has plenty to choose from. Looking forward to my next trip there. read more

Edit: owner seems to think my review was only about their $7 small beer on HH. Most of my review pointed out other deficiencies in this place which he didn't address. Please try Longbow instead. Better patio. Have great food (unlike Goldwater which has none). Better TVs. Patio heaters at Longbow. Patio games too. What a Missed opportunity at Goldwater, and from their response it's clear management doesn't get it and/or doesn't care. Original review: $7 for a small beer during happy hour times is not sustainable (not sure if they even have happy hour as no receipt was brought). Prices must have gone up as it's just too expensive now. There are no prices posted on their chalkboard wall of beer options and no printed beer list...both a mistake. Patio faces due East, so absolutely no sun after noon. No patio heaters means winter patio use is shaded and cold. They do let you bring in outside food which is cool as this place just serves beer. Much prefer the Longbow Grill down the street at the Longbow Golf Club. Better patio, better prices, full bar (unlike Goldwater), and homemade food and is Also dog friendly. Longbow often has Cornhole (bag) and/or ping pong set up on their patio. Which has patio ceiling heaters, unlike Goldwater. And you can get sunshine there in the afternoon unlike Goldwater. read more

Goldwater Longbow - From patio looking back to inside. Nice patio nice garage door opening. - Breweries Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

It is nice to get a local brewery tap room that is closer to home. They offer a nice selection of their own brews alongside some guest offerings, including a couple of ciders (at this time, they're featuring Mango Foxtrot and Sangin Sangria from Cider Corps in Mesa). I tried a few of their darker beers and they were tasty: Midnight Menace was a dark IPA with good flavor. They had live music on Sunday evening when I was there. The musician was talented and the volume was appropriate: you could still talk to the person next to you while enjoying the music. Note that they offer NO FOOD OR SNACKS ONSITE, but you can get beer, cider, water, house-made root beer and even some wine and, I think, iced tea (?). They are perfectly fine with you bringing food with you to enjoy with your beverages: there is a MOD pizza a few steps away, an In-N-Out a short walk across the parking lot, a Rumbi and soon to be a Someburros. You can also get sandwiches or snack foods from Sprouts or cookies from the Crumbl next door. Thank you to Lizzie for trusting the guy who had misplaced his wallet! I'll be back for the can release on 02/14/2020, and probably several times after that. read more

Leaving another review since this place likes to remove all their bad reviews!! The women bartenders here are the worst and ignore you when there is no one in the place!! Sat for 20 minutes and no one asked what i wanted to drink..pretty pathetic!! Plus kids running around here like is a playground. Pretty awful experience!! Love this location for the East Mesa crowd! We have been dying for some cool places around here and we finally got one. This is a taproom so they do not serve food, but they welcome you to bring your own food in! We often get food locally at the plaza and grab a beer while we wait for it to cook. Friendly staff, great for Thirsty Thursdays! They also sell merchandise and products from this taproom. read more

Really wonderful space! They have a nicely sized covered patio in addition to lots of large tables and bar seats for inside seating. They have a nice selection of beers and it's wonderful that they have a rotating menu of ciders and guest beers. They seem to be dog friendly as well as there were dogs both inside and outside. They do not serve food. The service was nice but there's nobody going around to tables, so you need to go up to the bar to order. This was a very nice tasting room with a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend! Also it's in a nice little strip mall with a handful of other food options if you get hungry after. read more

Stopped by for their grand opening and it was poppin! It was so packed inside, which was awesome to see in our area! We didn't wait to long for the bartenders too serve us some brews which was surprising, they were definitely hustling. The beers, well are beers. I'm not too big on trendy hipster breweries, but this place had pretty good beer. However, you put any cold alcoholic beverage in front of me and I'm a happy camper. I had a boot beer or something. It was good, mostly because it was beer and had alcohol content in it. Again, it is a very trendy place. I do with they would have had food options, or food trucks, or something. It was odd and wierd to see parents have their kids at a bar that only serves alcohol, take up a whole table and bring like 4 different bags of chips and dip in. It was kinda a mess. Other then the food thing, if you want a cold beer, and you're in the area stop on in. Fu Manchu is not required but suggested. read more

Such a great thing to happen to this area! I love their outdoor seating space and the fact that if you don't get a seat outside (which is dog friendly) they have garage doors that are usually open so you still feel the breeze (on the rare occasion there is one. The reason they lose a star is because of the "I'm not amused with your indecisiveness" of one of the women bartenders and the fact that it made me feel so uncomfortable that I just settled with the first beer I tasted even though I hated it. Even though the "Desert Rose" beer is listed under the lite section, it was much more hoppy than lite. My favorite ended up being the "Broccoli on Acid" sour to my surprise which I tried after wasting $7 on the Desert Rose and not being able to stomach even half of it. The same woman bartender wasn't even concerned why I was giving back a beer only half consumed. I'll be back, but try to catch the attention of another bartender. read more

Outstanding service and beer, great take-out options. Here's the full scoop: Beer: fantastic quality with a decent mix of styles. Draft list can sometimes be IPA-heavy, but each is distinctly different and very good. Also have rotating 'guest taps' available, so be sure to look for those up on the board. Some wine / cider also available, with cans in the cooler. Food: Goldwater does not serve food, BUT at the time of this review, there is currently a Mod Pizza, Crumbl Cookie, Rumbi Grill, and Some Burro Mexican, right next door, with an In-n-Out burger on the other side of the parking lot. Lots of table space to bring your food in. Space: clean industrial feel, with large L-shaped bar space, pub tables, and room to just hang out. The space is large and inviting. Outdoor patio seating is also available with several large tables. Does not feel overcrowded, even when they are very busy. Staff: the staff is good to great. Friendly, polite, and professional. Even from first opening, staff seemed 'dialed-in'. In particular, Janine is a pro, always has a smile, and genuinely seems happy to see you. It makes for a great experience all around. Review written after about a dozen positive experiences, zero negatives. Will keep coming back! read more

Such a simple little place, but loved the concept. They have indoor and outdoor seating, beers & ciders from local breweries on tap, and allow you to bring in outside food from wherever you want. There's plenty of restaurants in the same shopping center to go grab some takeout and enjoy on the this lovely little patio while sipping an ice cold beverage! Definitely want to come back with friends sometime. read more

We have purchased beer to-go at this location several times, and it was always very good, so we decided to stop in and check out the atmosphere on July 2nd. It was fairly quiet, a few tables had folks, and the bar had maybe 4 - 6 other people max at the time we stopped in (around 4pm.) My first impression was that it was a relaxed environment with an inviting atmosphere. There's a nice outdoor patio option as well for when the weather permits. You cannot get food here, which we knew, but there are several neighboring options here like MOD, In n Out, Rumbi, Someburros, Crumbl, and even Sprouts. You can bring your food inside and eat, while enjoying your selections of beer. This establishment is also dog friendly, which I thought was pretty cool. A couple with their two pups were inside visiting at one of the tables at the time. The pups were a bit loud here and there, so if that kind of thing bothers you, you may not like it. We didn't mind at all being animal lovers ourselves. I opted to order a flight. The service was somewhat slow considering at least 3 people were behind the bar and there weren't a lot of patrons, no food etc to keep them busy. They're not the engaging type, or at least they weren't on this day, and seemed to prefer speaking amongst themselves, which I found interesting. That alone seems like a way to make guests, new and familiar alike, want to return. Being able to watch tv and relax with a beer in peace can be nice though too, so again, it's more of an observation than a complaint. It took a bit of time to get actual service upon arrival, and to order a refill at one point, so that wasn't great considering the above factors. Complaint worthy? Maybe, maybe not, but you'd almost certainly sell more drinks with more personal engagement. Personal interactions matter. My flight choices were all pretty good, the favorite being the chocolate eagle porter I think it was? The stout was entirely out, so I missed out trying that, sadly. Still, all of my choices were nice and flavorful. My sole complaint here is that they were a bit warm. Where you're seeing other people complain of warm beer here, I can vouch for these claims. I don't know if that's an issue within or what, but meh. In the summer in Az? I'd be chilling your glasses or at least finding a way to address that because there's more than one complaint on Yelp alone about just that. Having worked in this industry, these few issues are a bit of a bummer. Price point didn't bother us, the location is great. Not sure if Scottsdale is better, but as far as my first sit-in experience, I'm not in any hurry to return. There's enough competition for tv and beer locally. I gave 3 stars because beer-to-go isn't out of the question even now. My advice is to the owner is to read these reviews from your patrons vs dismissing them, because it's a missed opportunity to be great... read more

Always enjoy this place. Great beers. Incredible people. Happy this is in my area!!!!

Probably the only reason this receives a four-star is the fact that there is no food here. However, conveniently located right next-door are a couple different restaurant options. Service is nice and I believe they are dog and toddler friendly plus pizza next door is a plus for me. I get the 100pils and longbow and I sampled the strawberry rose slushy which is a bit too sweet, and less rose feel for me . Maybe that's how it's supposed to be? IDK but i do know that we need more places like this in Mesa. More comfortable chairs and bigger better mist system would def be a plus that would encourage longer beer binges. read more

Late night brew stop. Had about 8 beers on tap no food. Great environment. Can bring in your own food which was nice. Staff fast paced.

Finally! A taproom in NE Mesa. And... it's not shitty! If you're not from NE Mesa you should know that yelp reviews are artificially inflated by at least 1 Star because we are desperate here. We either don't know what is really good or we over exaggerate something because we need / want it to last. However in this case, the beer is great. The concept is simple and well done. To top it off, there's nearby solid-enough food offerings to satisfy your hunger IF you need more than beer. Goldwater keep it up. Appreciate that you have usually 3-6 IPA's to sample through. read more
