Goldwater Longbow is one of my favorite breweries in the valley, I gladly drive all the way from Queen Creek at least once a month. I've tried a couple different beers from them, but my favorite is $100 Pills, it's great! Although they don't offer food items, they do allow you to bring in outside food and there are plenty of options within walking distance.

Let me just say, I am grateful for this taproom. This has become a weekly/biweekly spot for my partner and I. They have great beer on tap and also have beers in a case from other spots and wine. They don't offer food BUT, you can bring food. There are a few options just next door to bring in. There are tables and chairs inside and outside. The service is great and know their customers. And the best part of this spot, they allow dogs not only outside, but inside as well! Check it out!

Goldwater is the best local beer spot in AZ. Every time we come here it feels like family. Great beer, good friends, and dog friendly! We bring Kona our half lab half GSP and she is the star of the show. 100% you need to come here and have a beer...or 3

I really enjoyed this brewery while on my trip to Arizona. I was in Mesa and looking to escape the heat with a cold beer. Found Goldwater Brewing and I'm glad I did. They have a large variety of beers, I definitely like their selection of IPA's, Seven Sea's IPA was my favorite. The customer service was great, the brewery was clean and it has a nice outside patio. No food here but the complex has plenty to choose from. Looking forward to my next trip there.

It is nice to get a local brewery tap room that is closer to home. They offer a nice selection of their own brews alongside some guest offerings, including a couple of ciders (at this time, they're featuring Mango Foxtrot and Sangin Sangria from Cider Corps in Mesa). I tried a few of their darker beers and they were tasty: Midnight Menace was a dark IPA with good flavor. They had live music on Sunday evening when I was there. The musician was talented and the volume was appropriate: you could still talk to the person next to you while enjoying the music. Note that they offer NO FOOD OR SNACKS ONSITE, but you can get beer, cider, water, house-made root beer and even some wine and, I think, iced tea (?). They are perfectly fine with you bringing food with you to enjoy with your beverages: there is a MOD pizza a few steps away, an In-N-Out a short walk across the parking lot, a Rumbi and soon to be a Someburros. You can also get sandwiches or snack foods from Sprouts or cookies from the Crumbl next door. Thank you to Lizzie for trusting the guy who had misplaced his wallet! I'll be back for the can release on 02/14/2020, and probably several times after that.

From patio looking back to inside. Nice patio nice garage door opening.

Edit: owner seems to think my review was only about their $7 small beer on HH. Most of my review pointed out other deficiencies in this place which he didn't address. Please try Longbow instead. Better patio. Have great food (unlike Goldwater which has none). Better TVs. Patio heaters at Longbow. Patio games too. What a Missed opportunity at Goldwater, and from their response it's clear management doesn't get it and/or doesn't care. Original review: $7 for a small beer during happy hour times is not sustainable (not sure if they even have happy hour as no receipt was brought). Prices must have gone up as it's just too expensive now. There are no prices posted on their chalkboard wall of beer options and no printed beer list...both a mistake. Patio faces due East, so absolutely no sun after noon. No patio heaters means winter patio use is shaded and cold. They do let you bring in outside food which is cool as this place just serves beer. Much prefer the Longbow Grill down the street at the Longbow Golf Club. Better patio, better prices, full bar (unlike Goldwater), and homemade food and is Also dog friendly. Longbow often has Cornhole (bag) and/or ping pong set up on their patio. Which has patio ceiling heaters, unlike Goldwater. And you can get sunshine there in the afternoon unlike Goldwater.

Friendly service, nice local hangout. I found $14 for a flight of 4, 5oz to be steep. Beer was average. A few days later we went to Wilderness Brewing 5, 5oz proper size flight glasses super cold $12

Really wonderful space! They have a nicely sized covered patio in addition to lots of large tables and bar seats for inside seating. They have a nice selection of beers and it's wonderful that they have a rotating menu of ciders and guest beers. They seem to be dog friendly as well as there were dogs both inside and outside. They do not serve food. The service was nice but there's nobody going around to tables, so you need to go up to the bar to order. This was a very nice tasting room with a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend! Also it's in a nice little strip mall with a handful of other food options if you get hungry after.

Chupacabra was open, was a three-minute drive, and had excellent reviews. So my decision was made. I parked on the street for free a minute away on foot. Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your typical beer bar. Relatively small inside, but they also have a patio out front with picnic style seating. Casual. My type of bar. My only complaint? I hate picnic style seating because it doesn't give you back support. Which made me want to avoid the patio. Service (5/5): Super friendly service. The guy working the bar did a great job. I ordered one beer and called it a night. A seamless experience from beginning to end. They also have complimentary water in a water cooler, which is always a nice ou Food (N/A): I read they have food trucks, but I didn't see any when I visited. I had dinner prior anyway. Drinks (4.5/5): I love trying new beers and Chupacabra has an excellent selection. They have a rotating screen above the bar. Some interesting brews, ranging from local craft brews to quality European beers. This is not the type of place that has your typical assortment of mediocre beers. You'll find a lot better here. Overall, a cool spot in downtown Mesa. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the neighborhood!

Great deal too. The place is nice and decent in size. Parking was ok. They have a variety of games to choose from so it's also kid friendly if you bring your kids with you. They also have water and water cups to the side if you need some. The bartender who was there tonight was friendly & allowed us to take our time choosing the beer we wanted to try on our flights. Overall, some of the flavors were interesting and some weren't to our liking. Honestly, it really comes down to preference of how the flavors came through when you first sip it if you ask me. It was a hit or miss for me and my friends. Out of the 5, I did enjoy the Wy Abbo one the most since it's a guava pale ale. It had good flavors. One thing for sure though, I kind of wish all the beers on the flight were more cold. I don't know how to explain it but the temperature of it wasn't as crisp as I thought it should've been and it might've made a difference for my palate if beers came out colder. I also wish they included seltzers in their flight option. That would've allowed me to enjoy the flight more since beer can be heavy & fulfilling when you have multiple. We really wanted to like the beer options at this place but it wasn't for us. Glad we were able to test it out and for me, I only came because my husband and friends like beer.

There are so many breweries and pubs around here that there's pretty tough competition. As other reviewers have stated, their duck fat fries are great! So crispy and the herbs really elevate it. They can be a little heavy handed with the salt to the point where you may see salt piles on your fries, but at least the salt granules are larger and can be easily swept off. Although their fries are great on their own, they unfortunately struggle to strand up when loaded. I'm not sure how they do it, but we've been to places where fries can remain crispy even when loaded with toppings. Their poutine is still tasty though if you don't mind your fries soggy. Their burgers have great beefy flavor, but after trying a few of their burger options, my partner and I also feel that some other places do their unique burger stylings a bit better. A lot of the toppings overwhelm rather than contribute to the overall burger. There's plenty of searing both indoors and out. You have bar top, high table, and regular table style seating for indoors. There's plenty of 4 person tables outdoors under shade and also with misters on if it's hot out. Indoor seating offers plenty of viewing for sports. Service is also pleasant. Due to how they source their ingredients, the overall menu is on the pricier side. Although my partner and I prefer other breweries more, we do think it's still worth it to try visiting Arizona Wilderness Brewing at least once.
