It's modern inside and the chicken soup was good. There was no wait staff and I needed to ask for a menu. I hope they can stay in business.

This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

Focusing seating around the focal point, the big bar area. Atmosphere is pleasant, spacious and welcoming! Decent selection of food options. Huge draft, craft beer selection. The staff is friendly & offers just the right amount of attention. You won't wait long to be welcomed, for your food, for a refill or for your receipt at the end of your dining experience. We started with their honey hot wings. Our party of three decided to split one of the numerous salads they offer & went with the steak & walnut salad. It includes grilled steak slices, blue cheese crumbles & crispy onion rings ( made in house) . The dressing was a light vinaigrette that made this a delicious & delightful thing to share amongst us all. For dinner we went with one of their "create your own" pizzas. Our favorite toppings are: pepperoni, garlic & basil. This was a great presentation & pie! From service to staff, to cooks in the kitchen we had a great dining experience! Everything was legit. We will be back to try a burger next time. This is a really cool place with a wide selection of outstanding food & bar beverage options. Highly recommend it.

So many cool games to play, lots of drink choices, and an inviting atmosphere makes this place a great venue to visit for a night out with friends or even a solo visit! Unfortunately, that is only when this place is functioning properly. The food is really not great, but my biggest gripe by far about this place is the service. I have gotten good service maybe three times.Every other time the servers either do not come to us, take extremely long, or are rude and acting like we're messing up their day by asking for basic customer service. Just the other day my friend and I ordered tower station. When we received the beers, they were absolutely not tower station. We asked to switch beers and our first server was very kind and accommodating. Then out of nowhere came this (im assuming supervisor?) that said "what happened with the beers? I checked the keg its fine." with a super rude attitude. It was so awkward my whole friend group talked about it afterwards. Additionally, I don't think I have ever had the same server/bartender twice. The turnover rate is likely very high. This place has so much potential. I really wish the owners took its management seriously and hired some competent servers. Want to rate it higher.

Chupacabra was open, was a three-minute drive, and had excellent reviews. So my decision was made. I parked on the street for free a minute away on foot. Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your typical beer bar. Relatively small inside, but they also have a patio out front with picnic style seating. Casual. My type of bar. My only complaint? I hate picnic style seating because it doesn't give you back support. Which made me want to avoid the patio. Service (5/5): Super friendly service. The guy working the bar did a great job. I ordered one beer and called it a night. A seamless experience from beginning to end. They also have complimentary water in a water cooler, which is always a nice ou Food (N/A): I read they have food trucks, but I didn't see any when I visited. I had dinner prior anyway. Drinks (4.5/5): I love trying new beers and Chupacabra has an excellent selection. They have a rotating screen above the bar. Some interesting brews, ranging from local craft brews to quality European beers. This is not the type of place that has your typical assortment of mediocre beers. You'll find a lot better here. Overall, a cool spot in downtown Mesa. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the neighborhood!

Mi girl pidió el street corn and said it was pretty good-no estaba todo empapado en mayo, so you could actually taste elote. I got the nachos, but it was literally 8 chips...like,they were basically mini tostadas. Good, but not nachos you can share. We also ordered chips and guac Sabroso, but they filled half the container with lettuce. A total filler so that was disappointing. The mixed drinks? Weak af and super sweet. I ended up switching to a beer, which was okay, pero no estaba bien fría. The vaso was colder than the beer. What really killed it for me was no prices anywhere. Had to ask for prices and even the mesera had to double check. That made the bill hit harder than expected, and not in a good way. Lowkey, maybe I'd pull up again if it's a theme night or las morritas traen algo loco puesto--nomás pa' echar el ojo, ya tú sabes. Ambiente is cool if you're coming con los compas for the vibe, but for me? One y ya.

Each TV in the bar has the teams attached to it. And then each table has a map with the giant TV wall behind the bar, so you can see which TV is playing which game. As someone who cares a lot about this, it was a highlight of my visit. - their beer prices can't be beat - our server was great and super attentive, even when a huge rush hit, she always had us taken care of Not necessarily bad, just not the highlights: - on the final weekend of regular season NFL, with multiple playoff implications games being aired, they stuck with the Cardinals sound, despite the restaurant being filled with tons of Bears and Broncos fans. I would have taken the sound to literally any other game, rather than the Cards. I get it's the home team, but it was a throwaway game and other games were critical, and the fan bases were there. - the food wasn't great. The place was less than half full when we walked in. The hostess was friendly, and we were seated at the bar. That's where the experience started going downhill. Several bartenders were working, yet not one acknowledged us not a greeting, not eye contact for an uncomfortably long time. I get it if you're busy, but common courtesy like "we'll be right with you" takes two seconds. Basic hospitality shouldn't be optional in a service job, especially at a place trying to position itself as "upscale." When we were finally able to place our drink order, we waited even longer. It got to the point where we were about to cancel altogether. The only reason our drinks even got made is because a customer of one of the bartenders sat down next to us and suddenly, all of our drinks were made at the same time. So if you know the staff, apparently you won't be waiting. My Old Fashioned was mediocre at best. Unbalanced and not worth the time or price. After last call, the bartenders vanished to close out tables, leaving us stranded and still waiting to pay. We had no intention of camping out for over an hour for a single round. I eventually had to get up and track someone down just to close out the tab. This place has potential, but the service was indifferent at best, borderline neglectful at worst. If you're going to charge premium prices and sell a curated experience, you actually have to deliver one.
