Used to be a favorite now low quality food. Last time we ordered left a bad taste in my mouth. We have not gone back! We ordered the ahí tuna and the glow bowl which were favorites. Ahí tuna dish had no flavor. The raw tuna was not fresh! The chicken in the glow bowl was like eating rubber. Not sure what happened but really dissatisfying! I had eaten from Flower Child in years, but I decided to check out this location. Ordering was quick and easy. There were plenty of available tables to choose from to dine. The inside is bright, pleasing to the eyes with the decor and very clean. I ordered the chicken entree with sweet potato fries and mac and cheese as my sides. Everything tasted great. The fries were hot and crispy. I don't usually get sweet potato fries from anywhere but these are awesome since they are not fried and the homemade ranch sauce pairs well with them. I don't know where Flower Child went downhill. Living here since 2012, I've seen Flower child expand and I've loved every minute of it. I have the app and frequently order here. BUT the Flower Child in Awhatukee has to be the worst location ever. I put an online order at 5:00pm and got to the restaurant at 5:17pm, told the cashier that we were here which she proceed to say "we've bumped your order to the top." Perfect I thought!! I walked away and sat at the corner table. Never did I ever assume the cooks were making my food next.... I work at a restaurant I know how it works trust me that's not the problem. The problem is the lack of professionalism and urgency with this location. First you have the workers on their phone laughing with each other, and not greeting customers. Mia was the one bagging up orders and I felt her urgency was lack of. Was her doing little dances with coworkers more important than bagging orders? By the time we got our food it was 5:45pm... again I KNOW the online order app was 5:35 but my thing is don't vocalize "we've bumped you to the top" if that wasn't the case. I meticulously placed the order so it can align with my children's daycare timing. I felt as soon as I said that, the workers' demeanor changed. All of a sudden our food was ready. My friend and I came here before a concert yesterday, she recommended it and I have always wanted to try it. The minute I walked it, I instantly loved their cute, colorful vibe. The inside is trendy and adorable! I ordered the steak with a side of potatoes and broccoli, this was recommended by my daughter. And it did not disappoint! It was so good! The steak was cooked perfectly for medium and the potatoes and broccoli were so tasty. The broccoli had some cheese and breadcrumbs which made it different. Pro-tip: don't let the line scare you away, it moves really fast, and the food comes out quickly as well. Highlights: I came for a work lunch and even though the place was packed and my party had almost 10 people, I was really surprised with how fast our food had come out. I got the mother earth bowl and thought it was so delicious! I've already recommended it to other others. Lowlights: It's six dollars to add the most basic protein of chicken seems pretty steep. I really like what this company and restaurant stands for in terms of their products and their values. This was my first time here and since I had already eaten, I definitely still wanted to support the business. The cookie that I got was really delicious and I like the self serve tea and lemonade, and especially with Truvia being one of the sugar options. I also like the mural that was painted on one of the back walls that was really pretty to look at while dining. The only critique I have is how small those straws were, and how they kept getting caught in the lid of the drink. Didn't really enjoy it as you're 100% paying for the greens and grains and the protein is just a add on portion that I feel I could do at home with organic goods that'll make more than one bowl. Nothing looked appetizing and learned their braised beef with mash potatoes was a seasoning item :( this "mother's earth" is around 20 with the beef added. Their soup was good but it was really all just soup and one tiny piece of chicken with mushrooms pieces. I don't find this place very creative in their healthy food, it's only greens and add on protein. Salad and go is a better option if salad is your thing but for me it's not so I will not be back :( read more

Stopped in here for a quick lunch today with a few friends. I've tried Flower Child a few times before and liked the food! It was around 1:30. There was a good amount of people dining but it wasn't super crazy. We were able to order quickly and received our food pretty quick afterwards. My friends ordered the Forbidden Rice Bowl and a kids meal with steak, sweet corn & quinoa and mac & cheese. They liked their dishes. Staff were all friendly and checked to see if we needed anything else a few times. I ordered The Rebel wrap and it was delicious! 1st time in and it was better than expected. I read several reviews that stated the food was bland or too expensive. The food was flavorful and the price was $15 for a protein and 2 sides. I keep Flower Child in my back pocket for my food allergen friends! My sister is gluten- and dairy- free. If she's having a rough day, this place pops up if it's near payday. There's always options for her and something yummy for me. Is it expensive? Absolutely, but anywhere that specializes in alternatives is going to be that way. It's definitely a treat. I have tried a few sandwiches, and there have been minor consistency issues--but the difference between this is really good and this is good doesn't bother me when my family/friends who struggle to enjoy food on the regular are smiling and planning their next meal that won't make them sick. The olive oil cake is always a delight, and I will probably move to picking those up instead of the full meal on those rough days. I like the kombuchas, but the teas left something to be desired? This is a walk up to the cashier to order kind of deal, they give you a number, and you wait at your table--beautiful mural to stare at while you go. Service has never been stellar. Waiting for boxes at the counter when no one is ordering and staff avoid eye contact is not my favorite. I feel like they could move the boxes to the front counter and save some awkward brief encounters.
