The changes and effort they put into the menu and the renovations is impressive. That's coming from our experience in the food industry and also us being business owners. We always judge a new business by how well they do on simple or known dishes. In this case we ordered a chicken shawarma plate. Now we're hooked. It got us trying other items like Kibbeh Labnyah. Never had it and the staff was happy to tell me about it But here's some downsides: wait time is a little long, but sometimes good things takes time. I don't know their operations in the kitchen. Wait times can be explained by things like making sure food is cooked throughly, short staffed, or whatever. But be patient guys. They've only been open for business about 5 months at this point Staff is either really friendly or you'll get an occasional it's a transaction, just place your order kinda vibe. If you're in the mood for some Mediterranean this is a great spot to try! Authentic and very welcoming service. Our server was busy as it seemed she was the only one for the night tending to the food and hookah area. It took a little bit to get our order but wasn't terrible. We did wait over 20mns to get our check when we asked for it also, but again I think that was primarily due to being a little understaffed for how busy it got. Regarding the venue: It is connected to a hookah bar or just has a connecting area to it so I would just keep that in mind if you're bringing kids along, I am not sure if there is a door that separates or closes though, but I couldn't smell anything! Met two friends there for dinner. I had already looked at the menu before arriving. We all had the lentil soup which was warm( not hot) but tasty. I had the Chicken Tika which was described in the menu with rice and vegetables. The rice was room temperature and the only form of vegetables was a side salad. It was all very dry no sauce at all. Myfriend wanted chicken shawarma and was told they were out but she could wait for 90 minutes for it to finish cooking! When it came to paying they bring a little machine to the table ( I should have looked at the bill before paying) I always tip in cash not on my card. After transaction and 20% tip I asked for a receipt which I looked at after getting home they already added a service charge of 2,50. So on a $25.00 dinner I ended up giving cash tip if $6.00 plus $2.50 service charge I live in Gilbert and won't drive back to that residue all the reasons stated. read more

Ordered the family platter for 3. Great food! Loved everything but I'm taking one star off because the chicken tikka was dry and beef tikka was too hard and tough to chew. If they can fix that then everything would be perfect and deserve 5 stars. Will be back to try other menu items. read more

One of our favorite restaurants used to occupy this space and we decided to pop-in this past Saturday. The new management spent heavily in renovating the space and there is a modern, clean vibe for diners. The food itself was good and we highly recommend the Trio as an appetizer. For mains we wanted to share the beef kabob and the chicken & beef shawarma combo. The kabob was flavorful and tasted authentic. Unfortunately, the kitchen was out of chicken shawarma so we were just brought beef to sample. The beef was good but, our craving for chicken shawarma was left hanging. We observed the typical type of challenges one would expect from a new restaurant. Though our app was delivered timely, the kabob came out before we had even gone halfway through the Trio. The beef shawarma was another 30+ minutes, so it was a good thing we were sharing the entree (it was so long we honestly thought the order might not have been put in). Much of the staff was going through the first day with little/no training, so questions about dishes were not answered. The fact there wasn't any more chicken shawarma was not communicated to us until the beef shawarma was delivered, which is frustrating. We're hoping the above is growing pains and we'll go back in a couple weeks to see how things are once they get their feet underneath them. I'm glad we went and, with pivots that solve the front/back of the house communication issue and up-train the servers; this has the potential to be something that is amazing. read more

Everything was so so good my favorite was the lamb chops and the hummus trio and I literally hate potatoes like I mean I won't eat French fries and I couldn't stop eating those! Last night I went to Hashtag 48 for dinner and hookah and I was truly amazed. The food was not only presented beautifully, but every dish was packed with incredible flavor. It is so nice to finally have an upscale Mediterranean spot that actually tastes as good as it looks. I ordered the watermelon salad, muhammara, Bayti kabab, and the mango tango refresher. The refresher was so good and refreshing. The watermelon was perfectly fresh and sweet. The muhammara had such rich, bold flavor, it is honestly hard to describe how good it was. The Bayti kabab was the highlight. So flavorful, cooked perfectly, and absolutely delicious. No mistakes were made. And the dessert. Layali Baghdad was unreal. The perfect balance of crisp and sweetness, with every element complementing each other perfectly. Just thinking about it makes me drool all over again. The hookah was excellent as well. The space itself is beautiful, very clean, and thoughtfully designed. Portions were perfect, prices were very reasonable, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. The food was decent, but overall the experience was disappointing and I won't be returning. The biggest issue was the pricing. The amounts we were charged at the table were higher than what was listed on the menu, and on top of that, a 10% service charge was added without any mention upfront. Charging above menu prices while quietly tacking on a service charge feels dishonest, and it left a bad taste. The restaurant markets itself as upscale, but the experience didn't come close to matching that claim. We were served water in plastic cups. If you're positioning yourself as a fine dining destination and charging accordingly, plastic cups are embarrassing and completely out of place. As it stands, the combination of inflated charges, hidden fees, and substandard presentation makes it hard to recommend. read more

You could host a wedding in there. Or at least a very aggressive birthday party. Apparently they're doing a Ramadan buffet Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to break the fast, which honestly? Very cool. Love a spot that shows up for community like that. Respect. Now let's talk service. Impeccable. The woman working helped us immediately, ninja-level awareness... but didn't hover. No awkward "how's everything tasting?" every 43 seconds. Just the perfect balance of attentive without making you feel like you're being monitored. The hummus? Tahini forward, fresh veg placed atop. Flavorful. The kind that makes you pause mid-bite and reconsider the grocery store tub you bought. I would 100% recommend ordering extra pita because you will run out. And then you'll sit there staring at the remaining hummus like it's the last scoop of guac at a party. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I give them a fifty fifty review. The food was not horrible, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. There are areas of improvement and potential; I'll say that. One thing that I feel they can improve on is picking an area of expertise and focusing on that genre of food. They serve many different types of middle Eastern dishes from Lebanese, to Israeli to Syrian I believe they said including "Italian" dishes. Some of the food was bland and some of the meat was dry. Overall, the food was very inconsistent. We got a lot of different plates as well as appetizer which aren't pictured. Our server was Ameena and it seemed she tried her best with knowing the menu and being familiar with the dishes and bc this place isn't that old, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt in learning what the dishes are that her place of employment is serving. Lastly, the dessert I ordered was nothing like their Instagram photo. Also, it didn't taste very good. The food is amazing I ordered the beef tikka which came with rice and vegetables. Tikka was cooked to perfection, soft and flavorful with the love of spices that blended well. The vegetables were not over cooked or under cooked. They balanced well with the beef. My truffle fries was delicious without the taste of neglect! My wife & I were going to another restaurant, but they were closed, so we saw Hashtag 48 Modern kitchen that was open nextdoor. We had to go in & ask what type of food they served, which ended up being Mediterranean fare. We love Mediterranean food so we went in. I got the combo plate & my wife got the lamb shank. My GOD!!! The food looked, smelled & most importantly, tasted simply fantastic! The jasmine rice was perfectly seasoned & cooked. The salad was fresh, using greens & tomatoes, the dressing was very complementary. The meat was also so delicious and tender. I can't say enough on how great this restaurant is! The server & cook were super helpful and nice. They told they've been open only 5 months, so please check this place out and keep it open! We went yesterday and we had total of seven babies and to be honest, we felt very welcomed, and they were very considerate with the children moving around and being basically kids. The owner even gave them juice. the owner and the staff went above and beyond. It was my friend's birthday, and we ordered dessert for her. They even added a candle and everything it out without me asking. They were very accommodating and the food was delicious. I will definitely be a returning Customer and would recommend for families. I have eaten here several times. Currently they offer a buffet on Fri, Sat, and Sunday evening for the month of March. The buffet is wonderful! They offer food from around the middle eastern region . You can order off the menu too. I have been to the buffet on 3 occasions. Reservations are recommended because it is very busy during that time. The decor is very well done and they play middle eastern music too. I have ordered off the menu as well. Everything I have eaten there is wonderful! Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable too. They also have hookah if you are inclined. I highly recommend it if you enjoy ethnic food and being surrounded by people of varied cultures. read more

We tried Hashtag 48 Modern Kitchen this evening. The interior has been all redone. Looked very nice. I wanted the chicken Shawarma but they were out of it. I read a review that said the same thing about not having the Chicken Shawarma. We were the only people there for the longest time. The service was not very good. We had ordered the lentil soup and then the main entree came out right behind the soup.Didn't get a chance to finish the soup. I had the chicken Tikka. It was pretty good but whole dish was not hot. More like room temp. We had to ask for boxes and had to ask for the check. Will have to think about if we want to go back. read more
