Just tried this place for the first time and must say I'm obsessed! It's similar to CAVA or chipotle but with a bit more Spanish add ons. The style is Mediterranean/spanish. They have build your own bowls, burritos, quesadillas, etc. they even have a little bar! I wish I took some inside pictures because the decor is SO cute especially the title floor. They have little desserts you can buy at the end; I tried baklava which is always delicious and then tried the infamous pistachio Dubai chocolate bar. It was actually insanely good I must say. This place has a lot of variety and options, I enjoyed building my bowl and appreciate the sweet employees for being so patient with my mom and I as we tried to figure out what we wanted. Just tried Feta Cowboy for the first time and really enjoyed it. I ordered the salmon and loved it. The whole concept feels like a cross between CAVA and Chipotle, but the salmon honestly puts it over the edge for me. It was really flavorful and paired perfectly with the crispy pita and all the different sauces. I built my own bowl, which felt a little overwhelming at first with all the options, but the staff walked me through it and made the process really easy. My biggest critique was the kids meal. My younger daughter ordered it and the portion felt really tiny. I wish they had let her fill the plate a bit more with toppings. She went through the line ahead of me so I didn't realize until the end that the cups weren't filled very much. Maybe they assume younger kids won't finish their food, but she ended up eating a lot of mine because she was still hungry. That said, I'd definitely go back. Next time I'd probably just order her an adult bowl, even though it's a bit pricey. read more

I've been here 2 times and both times I ordered the Norse Sea Salmon bowl. The first time the fish was really dry and overcooked. The 2nd time it was much better. I had this filled with some salad, rice, hummus, roasted corn, sweet potatoes, green lentils and some tzatziki sauce. This was quite filling. Bowls are the same material like chipotle bowls and the cover is a plastic lid rather than aluminum. The food assembly is much like that of chipotle as well. Service was good. Ok, I love this idea!! It's the Subway of Mediterranean food! The service was great with lots of recommendations. There is one major pitfall ... This isn't Subway or Chipotle style food where you can just add more vegetables. Every item has its own distinct flavor to enjoy and if you add too much, it will become a mishmash of contrasting flavors that don't necessarily fit. I would highly recommend focusing on just a few items so that you can enjoy them individually. And then, go back for something else next time. read more

The Pita Jungle folks have another hit on their hands with Feta Cowboy. The fast-casual spot allows you to either order and customize a bowl, pita sandwich or burrito from a large menu, or you can build your own entree from a list of Mediterranean-leaning ingredients. The Feta Freak Dip is a delicious starter, and the gyro and the chicken shawarma are both great protein choices for your entree. Also, this is one of the best places I've seen lately for vegetarians--my vegetarian companion loved his burrito. If you find yourself overwhelmed by all the choices, the staff are happy to help you figure out what you want. Scrolling through Yelp to find a new lunch spot to try, I came across Feta Cowboy. Not a name that resonates with me, but reading a few reviews describing this place as Mediterranean crossed with Southwest cuisine in a Chipotle assembly line fashion I was very interested in trying it. When I arrived I realized it's in the same shopping center as RigaTony's...how have I always missed this place! Walking in the interior was very spacious, well lit and clean. Reading the menu while waiting my turn I was definitely overwhelmed so I decided to get the first thing mentioned by the employee. He recommended the Spicy Chicken Bowl and then a few other things...so I got the Spicy Chicken Bowl. I have to be honest and say I don't know everything they put in here because they just kept scooping great looking rice, beans, veggies, hummus, pepitas, almonds, pico and other items into my bowl. There must have been 10+ ingredients and it looked so good I didn't want to take my first bite until I had a picture. Wow, first to last bite this bowl was amazing! The mix of flavors...the freshness...the different taste in each bite...all perfect. The spice level was about right too...felt a little tingle but didn't make me regret getting spicy. I'm excited to come back and try some other dishes. I saw they had brisket, carnitas, falafel and gyro bowl and wrap options as well. I'll likely stick to a few of their recommended bowls and then maybe try a create-my-own down the road. I see coming here every week or two as this is a definite place to add into my lunch option list. The drink station had a few different teas and a pink lemonade along with the pepsi soda machine. Feta Cowboy reached out to make things right after my first visit and my extremely fatty brisket (i.e. some fat-only chunks). This time, I went with the spicy chicken and it was much better! Very flavorful and juicy considering how lean it is. I only give it 4 stars because I looked on the line and saw the same fat issue with the brisket. Give me a bowl style restaurant and I'm sat. Right away I noticed a good amount of seating and a chipotle style serving area. The staff were very friendly and explained the items well! I did a make it your own bowl and tried the shawarma chicken. Delicious. It also microwaved well the day after and didn't taste chickeny. I really enjoyed the falafel pita wrap--the combination of lightly pickled but still crunchy veggies was perfect and the harissa sauce was just the right level of spicy. That said, the ordering process was not great--inefficient, overwhelming, and slow. I'll admit being to hesitant to try Feta Cowboy because I find the name somewhat unfortunate, but I saw the solid reviews and decided to trust my fellow Yelpers. We walked in to the western themed establishment to find a fast-casual set up. Think burrito-chain style Mediterranean fusion. We joined a rather long line but at least there's a menu stand at the start of it so you can decide while you wait. When I got up to the counter, I quickly learned if you want a standard menu item, it's like a 2 question process. The person in front of me did a "build your own" and there were like 50 choices. Which might sound great to some, but for me is an overwhelming no and it slowed the line down. After getting the standard toppings for the pita, I made it to the register, but then the person in front of me's burrito came up (I guess it was being toasted) and no one was sure it was his, which required a close examination by the person working the register of his food. Like maybe figure out how to put a name, number, or even the menu card with the food? I paid, but then the protein wasn't ready for my or my husband's food--different proteins. I got a drink and then my order came up. I opted for a table outside--the kitchen is hot and it was uncomfortably stuffy inside on an 85 degree day. I got a table on the lovely little patio--the high planter boxes do wonders for not making it feel like you're sitting in a parking lot. I sat alone for ten plus minutes and I was more than half-way through my pita before my husband's order came up. From the time he ordered until he got food was probably close to 20 minutes. He was less than thrilled with the wait and his food. So, for the quality of my food at the price point (around $15 for food+drink), I will be adding Cowboy Feta to my frequent lunch spots, but I will either order ahead or try to avoid peak lunch rush times. Also, hoping they can work some kinks out of the ordering process with time. I hate kiosk ordering but it would make a lot of sense here with runners to bring food out. read more

This place is really cute! It's a Mexican-Mediterranean mix cuisine. Super interesting, I've never had anything like it. There were so many options so I decided to opt into doing one of their signature bowls, which are their most popular combinations. I got the spicy chicken bowl and my friend built her own bowl. They had so many options and the pita chip side was some of the best I've ever had. The people in the assembly line making the food were super helpful but their payment system was down so you had to pay cash or they sent you a text and you paid through that. The amount of different options to make your bowl is so fun and everything (and I mean everything) is freshly made and you can see that as you make your way down the line. I've been here a few times for lunch and have tried a few options and bowls have been my favorite! The flavors are amazing and while I would have questioned putting things like pickled onion in my bowl, I was surprised with the recommendations by the staff. A little bummed on the pita portion, as they gave me the tiniest slices for my food, and could have used maybe 1-2 more. Plenty of seating but gets busy during prime lunch time. We had a wonderful lunch today, and I will be back as soon as possible. 1) The food is QUALITY. Fresh ingredients, tons of options, incredible flavors. The prickly pear iced tea? DEVINE. I went with the build-your-own bowl and was able to try a decent amount of the additions, my favorites being the gyro meat, feta dip, and the pita chips. My husband had the burrito and devoured it. We also had the brisket hummus, definitely worth it. 2) The service is top-notch. We brought my 16-month-old son and ordered him the sweet potatoes. They were a tad bit undercooked to serve him (he still needs them on the squishier side), and the manager saw me struggling to cut into them. She came over immediately and offered to get me some softer potatoes for my son. I do not expect this kind of service from a fast-casual restaurant, but these are the types of interactions that make me a return customer. 3. Tons of seating, easy-to-find parking, and clean tables. Enough said. We went early before the lunch rush and were happy we did. It really started to pick up around 11:30 am. 4. Prices are decent IMO. We had two build-your-own entrees (huge portions), a kids meal, and a starter, PLUS drinks for ~$50. I feel like this is unheard of nowadays. If you like Mediterranean food, check out this spot. We really liked this counter service place. I read an article about it being opened by the group behind Pita Jungle, and thought the fusion between Mediterranean and Mexican sounded interesting. The decor is spot on. Is there anything cooler than cowhide print flooring? I think not! There is a mural of a cowboy with a UFO overhead, and cool tree branch lighting fixtures. The green tile and heavy green draperies are perfect for the decor. And to add to the feel, the perfect background music of old school artsy country stuff (no Carrie Underwood here). The food is really good. You can get it in bowl or burrito style, with a ton of good meat choices. There were three rotisserie things with different meat on them. There are a lot of different sauces and dips. We had: *Norse Sea Salmon Bowl, with green lentils, rice, roasted cauliflower, Mediterranean pick, and hummus. *Spicy Chicken Bowl, with rice, Romano beans, hummus, Mediterranean pico, and fired corn. *Hummus do with pita chips All were delicious, and quite large. You walk alone the line and can tweak your food as you go, leaving out it changing what you want. When we were there, the owner (I think?) was there, and was so nice and helpful. Howdy, howdy, howdy! This place opened near me, and I was so excited to try it. I'm a big fan of Cava, and this reminded me of them. The restaurant is HUGE. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, but it operates like a Chipotle where you order your food at their food bar (?), pay, then seat yourself. The menu is also pretty large, although I found it difficult to figure out what was inside of their items. They have a smaller menu to look at (that you can hold with your hands) that DOES show you what's in each order, but if it weren't for the manager passing one to me, I would have totally glossed over that. I got the spicy chicken bowl, and it was sooo yummy. I didn't feel it was spicy though, but my friend did. The downside is that I didn't realize there were beans in it; no big deal, I just took them out myself. There was enough food in the bowl for two meals for me, but be warned--they use the compostable bowls, and my bowl in particular was definitely extremely wet, so I needed to ask them for another one so the sauces wouldn't get all over my car. I came around 1:30pm, and while it was busy, I didn't feel like I waited a terribly long time to order my food or anything. I'll definitely come back another time to try out their burrito. read more

Two great things in life: Feta (cheese) and Cowboys (and no, I'm not talking about the Dallas Cowboys --- eww). Yeehaw! It's "pita meets tortilla" at Feta Cowboy! From the owners of Pita Jungle, the new fast-casual concept combines Mediterranean and Tex-Mex flavors. We had came during the soft opening and the owners were there being sweet as pie. Friendly, informative, and so gosh darn cute. Here's what we shared: Norse Sea Salmon Bowl (Calrose rice, green lentils, lettuce mix, Norwegian salmon, zhug, labneh tzatziki, roasted cauliflower, Mediterranean pico, burst of herbs, citrus vinaigrette, hummus & zhug hummus, and chips): I don't recall having any chips in my bowl but I would have appreciated some texture! The flavors were delightful and meld well together. The rice was a bit too mushy though. I think they added too much water but it's not a deal breaker. I loved this delicious bowl and that salmon was so perfectly cooked. Absolutely flakey! Brisket Kimchi Burrito (Tortilla, Calrose rice, Romano beans, brisket, sweet potatoes, FC pomegranate bbq sauce, chili oil, kimchi, and Monterey Jack with a harissa vinaigrette): I gotta be honest, this burrito could have used more texture. The rice was still the soggier rice so everything was on the mushier side. As a huge kimchi lover, the flavor of the unmistakable fermented spice was very low-key. I'm excited to go back to Feta Cowboy! I've been waiting for so long, having seen them renovate as it's right next to my gym of EOS. Glen Campbell may be partial to a Rhinestone Cowboy but I prefer Feta Cowboy! I'll have to admit, I wasn't sure about this restaurant initially because of the odd name. It sounded to me like they drew two nouns out of a hat and then went with the result for the restaurant signage. The menu does reflect the two different genres of food though, as it is a blend of Mediterranean and Southwestern food. There's also some kimchi thrown in the mix as well which threw me for a loop since that is distinctly Korean but I do like kimchi so bring it on! We got here on a Friday evening for an early dinner and it was moderately busy. Most people were getting to-go orders. There is nice patio seating outside as well as tables and booths inside. I decided with the Norse sea salmon bowl and had a bite of the kimchi brisket burrito. Side note for the cilantro adverse, the fresh herb mix they use for many of their pre-set bowls does have cilantro in it so ask for it to not be included if you are not a fan. This was an easy accommodation at the counter while they were making my bowl. Also note that while there are multiple meat protein options to build your own bowl/burrito/pita, there isn't a vegetarian protein option add-on but there are enough protein packed mix-ins such as beans, lentils and hummus that it isn't too much of an issue if you were to go meatless here. The bowl I got had a generous portion of salmon which was expertly cooked and tasted great with all the other mix ins. The pita chips here btw are amazing. I had a couple nestled in my bowl and they had just the right amount of crispiness. They are very large pieces to go with your meal. The brisket burrito was awesome and I loved the combo of the BBQ style slightly sweet meat with the spicy, tangy kimchi. The little one had a build your own burrito, sans meat and she was satisfied with her custom creation. Service was really friendly, attentive and kind here. I was so excited to try this place out once I found out this Pita Jungle spin off concept restaurant!! Also, this corner was vacant for so long that I really wish this place works out!! The first staff member who assisted me was the pre-roll person. I ordered the kimchi burrito and WOW the amount of ingredients made the tortilla look small lolll! The second staff member was the expert in rolling up the burrito and add the finishing touch! He's also the same person who cash us out. It was a very smooth process from start to finish. Overall, the burrito is really tasty. However, 1-the fold of the burrito is odd, so one bite is just meat and one bite is just rice. 2-all of the ingredients are so flavorful that everything together is just overwhelming. For my kimchi burrito, I think even if they skipped the vinaigrette, it would have been delicious enough. I'll for sure to try out the chicken classic bowl. Lastly, the decor is amazing in this restaurant! The backdrop with the cowboy is perfect! The lighting makes the ingredients look even more appealing! This is the kinda place you can scream, "Yipee-ki-yay, mother f-er!" over. Are we in Die Hard now? Maybe not but here at Feta Cowboy, it is both action-packed and flavor-packed. From the owners of the beloved Pita Jungle comes Feta Cowboy. We popped in during the soft opening and I got the kimchi brisket burrito. While the rice was on the more mushy side, the flavor was there. It is not the most kimchi-forward in terms of flavor, but it's meaty and filling. I wish there was more texture though. I ate here for the first time with my wife the other day. It seemed like a bowl place similar to Cava and Chipotle, but the reality is that, there isn't any flavor in this food. The rice didn't have flavor, beans didn't, the meats were extremely dry and flavorless, I got Gyro and Spicy Chicken. I honesty was very disappointed and expected way more. The reason they are getting 3 stars and not 1, is because they have a nice place to sit, nice employees and the pita chips are great. Wouldn't recommend coming if you like flavorful meals. read more

However, it missed the mark for me and here's why. When I walked in, the gentleman behind the counter was super polite as he was restocking the salad bins. He told me to order when ready. The next lady on the line was so busy talking to the salad guy, she asked me what I ordered as my burrito shell was sitting in front of her. She gloved up and was getting ready to start building my burrito. However, the salad guy started moving the person behind me order down the line. So now, I have this other customer on my back trying to build her order as well. Okay, now my burrito is handed off to the sauce guy who is busy stocking the sauces and trying to figure out where another employee was. "I don't know. Maybe he's in the bathroom" is just want I wanted to hear as I'm building my burrito. Yikes! But, sauce guy was super nice, yet I had to wait for him to finish stocking the sauces and figuring out where this other employee was. The rice in my burrito was hard as rocks. I mean so hard I was scared my teeth would crack if I bit into my burrito wrong. I should've known because there was less than two scoops of rice left in the bottom of the container which needed to be refilled. Instead of refilling, they gave the customer behind me and me very, very, very old rice. The chicken and beans were very good. The cucumber tomato mix was fresh with the crazy feta being my favorite. But, I didn't like how dry my burrito was as it needed more crazy feta. I think what happened was when the sauce guy heated my burrito, the crazy feta sauce evaporated. I didn't speak up because with the other customer on my back, I just wanted out of there. I can't just yet recommend this place for our company lunch but am willing to give it another go. Stopped in for lunch during the middle of the week. Place was fairly crowded. You queue up and order at the counter. Lots to pick from - bowls, pita, burritos, dips, and more. You can select from a pre-set list or build your own. I opted for the feta dip and a brisket kimchi burrito. Both were really good! A really interesting mix of flavors of as well. First trip to the Feta Cowboy, including with 2 Greeks. Concept is fast casual, custom made to order at the counter. All the food was fresh and they made it my way. I had a gyro bowl that was plentiful and fresh. We shared the feta freak dip that was quite good. The pita was soft and fresh. They serve beer. Service was great. I'm personally not big on fast casual but many people love it, thus the reason for my 4 stars. read more

New small business. Think of it like a Mediterranean Chipotle. Very friendly staff, everyone was invested in making the bowls and moving the line along. Fresh ingredients added to the experience. Also outside seating. Clean, friendly, good portion sizes. read more

Ate here twice, what's clearly obvious this mash up of Mediterranean and southwestern cuisine is like AI hallucinations slop. These 2 cuisines share zero in common yet someone decided this is an experiment worth pursuing. Listen Ive been an avid loyal customer of Pita Jungle but this concept is fitting for the Chipotle crowd not Pita Jungle. The first time I ate here had the beef bowl and it was ok the flavors were super bland and the ingredients in the bowl were a bit trying too hard to mix multiple items that normally are separate plates. Second time it was catered to the office for a spicy chicken bowl which ended up coincidentally making me very sick that afternoon. This establishment is a drunken step in the wrong direction for the owners of Pita jungle. The art of great food isn't in over mixing ingredients. Chemistry is important. read more
