The food is good, not great... it's over priced. Very disappointed with the customer service. I ordered a full gyro plate and only received one small slice of pita bread with the meal, which already felt cheap considering the price. When I called politely to ask for additional pita bread, the employee named Alexa was rude and ended up hanging up on me during the conversation. Mistakes happen with orders, but the way customers are treated afterward matters. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service completely ruined the experience for me. We were in the neighborhood and this café was actually just next-door to where we were going. We totally lucked out! We both love falafel's and got the falafel pita. My friend Stacey got the regular one on the menu. I got the street one substituted the gyro for falafel. So yummy. It was perfect out of the last falafel Pets. I've tried over the years. We used to eat here quite a bit, but have come less and less. I discovered that their salad dressing is a combo of canola oil and olive oil. Part of the appeal of a Greek restaurant should be serving fairly clean Mediterranean food. A Greek restaurant that doesn't use EVOO does not fit that criteria, as Greek food is known for olive oil which is much healthier than canola oil. Local institution! Opa Greek Life Cafe is a neighborhood restaurant. Seating inside and outside patio. I was first introduced to it about 3 years ago, but haven't been back since only because it's not close to where I live. But I've never forgotten this place. Today I knew I was going to be nearby, so was able to finally revisit. There were customers filling about 5 Tables inside, and a couple groups outside. Service was friendly and fast, I had my food within 7 minutes of sitting down! I ordered an unsweetened black tea, a HALF gyro platter with garlic hummus for my side, and added a small Greek salad. The portion for a HALF Plate is pretty substantial. The tzaziki is so fresh! The pita is soft and fluffy. Very pleased with service and food, so glad to come back to Opa, and recommend! read more

So far we've only tried the food via takeout, and it was a pleasurable experience to say the least. The staff was kind, polite, and very attentive. The food came out fast, literally probably within seven minutes of entering the door- and that's including the time we took to decide what we wanted! So we got home and everything was delicious! I had my friend do a blind taste test to see which pita I preferred (normal vs GF), as I'm really trying to stick to a GF diet without sacrificing some of my favorite dishes, and this place did not, and I mean, did not disappoint!!! I ended up liking the gluten-free pita, even more surprisingly! I'm pretty picky when it comes to gluten-free anything and they knocked this one out of the park. The only thing I can think to complain about is that I didn't get enough Taziki, and that was totally on me because the lady taking our order made an effort to come out and ensure that our order was right and showed us the food itself, walking us through what each dish was, and repacking our bag for us. The recent rave reviews have let me down. Ordered to go on a Wednesday evening. The cashier was sweet and attentive. There is a sign on the front door, as well as on the menu that states they have raised prices in the forms of a "Temporary inflation fee" and "Credit Charge Surcharge," however, these fees will be going away as of 8/1 (Prices may be modified to offset some of the inflation). The temporary inflation fee was $1.94, the credit card surcharge was $1.29, and the to go surcharge was .75, for a total of $3.98 in extra fees. Which is not the end of the world, and I'd be fine with paying, if the quality were on par. The chicken, although seasoned well, was dry. Hard to forgive when it's the primary ingredient in your wrap/pita. The seasoned fries weren't seasoned, were a touch overfried, and rather expensive for $6. The salad ingredients were fresh and the hummus was quite good. Overall, maybe we'll try Opa Life again; maybe it was one off with the chicken? In the meantime, there's plenty of other Greek spots! read more

The food here was average, and the service was, at least on this visit, terrible. We ordered a Greek salad, cheese pizza, and a Kabab plate. We waited an inordinate amount of time to place the order, and longer for the food. The pizza seemed like it could have been better if it were actually hot, and not luke warm. The Greek salad was mediocre, compared to offerings from competitors. My wife stated she was not a fan of the kababs. Also, after reviewing the bill, I noticed a surcharge for using a credit card. I inquired about this, and the server sheepishly informed me that there was a new POS system, and she was not familiar with it. Apparently, this was a surcharge that was applied to all credit card sales, so I elected to pay cash. I feel all staff should inform patrons of any charges of this nature prior to paying the final bill. read more

It was my first time trying the lemon chicken soup, it was different and I don't have any complaints about it just not my favorite. We had a really nice lunch here on Saturday! I have had a hard time finding a Greek place that has Salmon- and ta da, this place popped up in my search. I had the Greek salad with salmon (make sure to get the Tzatziki sauce too, this is what makes it great) and hubs had a half a gyro platter. Both dishes were very good. Service was friendly and efficient as well. They appear to do a huge 'to go' business as the kitchen was crankin' out order after order. I love, love, love the food here! This has been my GO To place for Greek food and I often get it several times a month! I love the Athenian spaghetti with the shrimp and I add chicken to it too! GREAT GYROS! I love this place! I just give a 4 star because I feel like the other location in Westgate is a bit better, but I've only been to this location once. The gyro meat here is great! Gryos are the most important part of Greek food, so you gotta get that down to have a good Greek restaurant! I usually get a Greek salad and add gyro meat, it comes out to $14 which I feel is a bit pricy, but worth it. I just wish it came with more tzatziki sauce for the price! The fries here are oh so good! Very crispy and have a nice breading. Get the Greek fries for sure if you want to spice them up. We went here because they offer Saganaki which is difficult to find (see photo). The saganaki was right on. All the options on the menu were very good (many photos of menu already posted). The greek burger was great, a burger with gyro slices on top, what could be better than that (see photo)? Gyro and chicken souvlaki were good as well. Every table outside was taken and most of those inside were also, especially one with a party of  about 16. Our waiter was Christian, and he was terrific. A whirlwind on his feet, almost running from table to table. We started with appetizers. I had the Avgolemono soup which I can only describe as comfort in a bowl. One of my companions had the Calamari which was nicely cooked with very light  breading. Another companion ordered the Tzatziki which came with a nice portion of fresh pitas to dip in it. Main courses came next with one of my companions ordering the meat lovers wrap (Gyro meat, Grilled Chicken, Bacon, and assorted veggies in a tomato basil wrap). Another companion ordered the Garlic Shrimp Pasta (A garlic lovers dream). For myself, I ordered a half order of  Souvlaki lamb with a Greek salad. Probably the best Greek salad I have eaten and the lamb done to perfection. We decided to share desserts. First was the Baklava Cheesecake. My considered guess is that it was somewhere near 8000 calories, but it was magnificent. Next was Loukoumades (deep fried donut holes with vanilla bean ice cream, cinnamon, honey, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, chopped walnuts and another 8000 calories!) Our waiter kept our glasses topped off, and was there for our every need. I have eaten in much more expensive restaurants with much worse service. He is a gem! There really was nothing good about this $13 lunch. The chicken pita was recommended by the counter girl, but it was a mess. The pieces of chicken were the size of a balled up fist and did not belong in a pita. Definitely could have choked. I had to rip the pieces up and put them in the pita again, but they were tasteless anyways. Also tasteless was the tzitki sauce and the side of rice was wet and mushy and obviously over cooked.
