Wow!! One of my favorite places I've tried in the city so far. I had the falafel with rice, and it was amazing. My friend had the falafel and fries, and they loved their meal too. The service was perfect, and the atmosphere was amazing as well. This place was pretty crowded, so I would recommend getting there before the crowds. Awesome spot. Had my dog before an appointment she had and realized this place had a dog friendly patio. Great service, super helpful staff, and they just started a rewards program last week. I will definitely return just for the pet friendliness and great service alone. The food slaps. So that is amazing too. The only negative is the price but you're definitely paying for quality and flavor, so that's not an issue for me. Don't underestimate the storefront places in strip malls. Sometimes they surprise you. Saba's was like that. A family owned sit-down full service place that is quaint, charming and welcoming. We ate in, but there were more carry out orders going than diners. We went after seeing the other good reviews and, as always, Yelpers usually don't miss. We were quickly welcomed and seated. The menu is straightforward, with a nice mix of Mediterranean foods. We had the Chicago gyros, chicken schwarma, beef kofta, lemon rice soup, tabbouleh salad and fries. All were great, but the fries were outstanding! I've eaten a lot of fried potatoes in my life, and really none better. They rounded out the meal-hot, fresh, crunchy and soft. Perfect! If I had to have a "complaint," the lemon garlic aioli on the schwarma was a bit too much, get that "on the side" so you can manage that. Otherwise a great meal. OPA! read more

Saba's is a wonderful family-owned Mediterranean restaurant located in a shopping center near Tatum and Bell in Phoenix. They offer great service, a large menu with many customizable options, and huge portions. You won't leave hungry! The restaurant is long and narrow. When we visited on a Wednesday night, it was packed. We sat at the last available booth, near the back. There are a few seats outside as well, which is great when the weather isn't as hot. I always order the "create an entree." You can choose one, two, or three entrees plus two sides. You can make this vegetarian or non-vegetarian. I always choose one entree plus the two sides. It also comes with pita upon request. Any more than that, and I would have to take leftovers home. Another table ordered the flaming cheese, which sounded delicious. Great mediterranean restaurant off of the 51 and Bell Road. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pricing is fair and affordable. The staff were phenomenal, we received quick and friendly service. The food came out at a great pace and everything was hot. The food was fantastic. We got Saganaki (OPA!), it was delicious and the tableside fire lighting was a fun experience! The Saganaki comes with lemon and with pita. We also got the Spicy Feta Fries, the fries were spicy but balanced out well with the feta and ranch. We got the basket and it was more than enough for 3 people as an appetizer. I also got the Chicago style gyros and added feta. It was the best gyros I have found in Arizona, and I wanted to go back the next day to get another one! When the soup came later after I had to ask- lemon rice--it was too lemony and salty- couldn't eat it. My husband said same. His lamb gyro had little meat. Wasn't 4-5 stars as I see here. Very salty. Love the food here! Usually love the family vibe here, too. Recently when we visited they were shortstaffed and the regular family members who work here weren't around. As soon as I walked into the restaurant, there was a sweet lady that welcomed me in and took my take out order. She was nice and knows her stuff. I ordered a house gyro and she knew right away it would be done quickly. While I waited, I took some pictures and videos of the place which seems super family oriented. If I had the time, I would have dined in. They have a lot of great options on their menu that I intend on coming back to try. The energy in this place was amazing . I just truly felt welcomed and taken care of although I had only been there for maybe 5-6 minutes. Now let's get to my food. I am not gonna lie , but I think I gobbled my gyro down in like 3 minutes. It was the best gyro I've had in a long time and I basically inhaled it. It was soooo good. I was hungry but that gyro exceeded my expectations and I am happy for that. I checked out the menu for Saba's Mediterranean Kitchen and they had some different sandwiches and entree's that looked intriguing. My wife had the the Smokehouse Pita with falafel. It comes with melted cheese, carmalized onions,turshi, and a smokey chipolte BBQ sauce. I tried the Falafel burger. It was a huge patty with feta cheese, peppers, onions (not for me), hummus, and lettuce and tomato. My burger came with fries. Very crispy and very good.The Falafel had many spices that had a kick to it. Both sandwich and burger were messy to handle and very good.
