    Salad with chicken shawarma

The food here is excellent. Lately I've had cravings for their food which is unfortunate for me because they're closed a bit more often during this time of year to observe holidays. I'll just have to go more often when they're back to a more regular schedule. I'd recommend calling first to make sure they're open. Pros 1. Really flavorful and fresh food 2. The guys who work here (own the place) are all very nice and treat customers well 3. Parking is super easy 4. Portions are fairly large 5. You get high quality and a large amount of food for the price Cons 1. Odd business days/hours

Falafel is not easy to get right, either too soft, too dry, no flavor, my spot got it Goldilocks just right! The owners are so kind and welcoming, suggesting and describing all there offerings with patience and zest. Highly recommend!!!

Got the chicken salad and falafel wrap with fries. Food is generally tasty and well seasoned. Fries were super oily but not crispy, perhaps that is the Mediterranean style. Food is quite expensive - the chicken salad was $20 and the wrap (a little dry) was $15. Service was kind and someone checked on us regularly. Inside is pretty cold, great for a hot summer day. We went I think during a holiday season so families were dining that evening - nice to see.

I love Mediterranean food and tried My spot a few days ago. I was greeted with a smile and very friendly service! I picked up hummus with pita & another portion of hummus with falafel and lafa. Falafel was the best I've had in years - perfectly cooked - moist and flavorful! Hummus was delicious and pita and lafa were delucious and hot! Will definitely be back to try shwarma and other meats on the menu!

My Spot Mediterranean Grill is a very CASUAL Kosher Israeli style restaurant located in north Phoenix in the same spot as Cafe Chenar used to be. The restaurant offers things like shawarma, schnitzel, skewers, falafels, salads, platters and burgers. Prices do run higher because kosher meat cost twice as much as non kosher meats. Kosher beef is only the front part of the cow and the rest is sold to others. This is an extra casual restaurant. You order and pay at the counter and grab your silverware yourself and seat yourself. We tried a variety of things. We started out with the hummus and falafels. The hummus is good and creamy and taste like it was made with toasted cumin. The falafels did have crisp exteriors and are moist and herby inside. This also came with choice of bread and I picked the pitas. The pitas are VERY GOOD......Maybe among the best you can get anywhere. They are fresh made and fluffy. I tried the beef lola on laffa bread that comes with fries......THIS WAS FIVE STARS DELICIOUS...........THE FLAVORS ROCK on this one and it was spicy too!. Get it with everything it comes with. Trust me. This is really great and you will understand the difference between kosher beef and regular ground beef. They taste different. Kosher beef has this clean beefy taste and it was very moist and very flavorful. This one is also large like a BIG BURRITO......For some people this might be two meals. My husband tried the spicy chicken schnitzel platter. It came with fries and Israeli salad. The chicken was moist and nicely seasoned. It was breaded and fried but didn't seem oily. Fries are very average. You have vinegar on the table to season them. Israeli salad needed vinegar too. Remember this is a kosher restaurant so that means they don't mix meat and dairy. That means if you order a burger it will be cooked well done and cheese isn't an option.

Best falafel in AZ! Great food and the nicest owners. Love the causal vibe and welcoming service!

I've had falafel all over the world and it ranks with the best. They finally put Phoenix on the map for the best falafel.

For me, it was a big hike up to the north side- but totally worth the haul! I grew up in the Midwest, occasionally going to one or two German restaurant/ clubs, so this was not an unfamiliar atmosphere to me. It is definitely a "seasoned" vibe, having immediately taken over the space by a former western bar/beer hall that had been in existence for 50+ years. Their menu says "German and Hungarian" but all I read was German. They have a solid European beer selection, including taps and bottles and some cocktails with a German twist. The one that threw me for a loop (in the best way) was Kriek! So ofc I got a pint. We shared a (fairly large) pretzel to start, which comes with beer cheese. Tasty, but I was genuinely shocked there was no mustard. I ordered the jagerschnitzel (pork) and just overall the meal was as expected as if I was in the Midwest - amazing, delicious, insert chef's kiss. I wish I could have joined the clean plate club. The cucumber salad was flavorful and not too sour/pickley. My friend and I both noted how umami the savory sauce was- not too bacon, not too mushroom. The potatoes were not too salty or under-seasoned. Literally willing to drive up again if/when someone tells me to go. It wasn't horribly busy so it didn't take forever to order and get everything we needed. Our server was super nice and patient. She even gave a bar suggestion that ended up being a nice cherry for the top of the evening.

We made a same-day reservation for a party of five--three teenagers and two adults. We all have different tastes and preferences, so I was hoping the menu would have something for everyone. It absolutely did, and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is lively yet cozy, making it easy to enjoy conversation even when the restaurant is busy. The staff was absolutely delightful from start to finish. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the truffle fries and the green beans with almonds. Both were wonderful, and the truffle fries were definitely a hit! Our entrees included pastas, fish tacos, a burger, and I had a salad with added salmon. Everything was delicious. My salmon unfortunately came out undercooked, despite my request for it to be cooked through. Our waitress and the manager were incredibly gracious, kind, and genuinely apologetic. They handled everything with such care that it turned what could have been a disappointing experience into an example of exceptional customer service. As part of their above-and-beyond recovery, they treated us to their incredible house donut with the most amazing sauce. It was absolutely outstanding and is not to be missed! The ambiance is beautiful, both indoors and on the patio. We started with the sesame chicken potstickers and a glass of Riesling, then got the Asian chicken salads. That said, the food was delicious. Service was quick and attentive, and overall it was a great experience. I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu.
