A nice mix of pop and rock playing in the background. The decor is modern upscale dinner, wood floor and high open ceiling. Our server was friendly and happily answered a few questions we had on the menu. My friend ordered the Rustica Frittata. I had the Barbacoa Breakfast Tacos which were fantastic. One of the best brunch places in Tukee by far!! The BEC sandwich was SO good - our server said that it was seasonal, so I will most definitely be coming back every time it's on the menu. We also had the carrot cake & blueberry pancakes and they were amazing - so soft, warm, and full of flavor! This was my first time at this location. We stopped in for breakfast after a doctor's appointment. We were seated right away and ordered drinks. I ordered the sandwich and salad combo, and my husband ordered the biscuits and gravy and a side of bacon. The gravy was kind of watery and a bit salty, but the biscuits were good. My sandwich was good, but I was a little disappointed that the bread doesn't come toasted. I've been to another First Watch location on several occasions, but have heard this one is a bit unique with its placement near the Ahwatukee Foothills. I wanted to check it out for myself as I know the views are very breathtaking in this area. We were greeted quickly and immediately had our table, even though it was fairly packed. Service was done with a smile and everyone was friendly. All pluses in my book! The only drawback was it was on the noisy side, making conversation slightly challenging at times, but still very enjoyable. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes with strawberries. The pancakes were slightly on the dry side and needed a few more minutes soaking in syrup to really hit the right spot. The strawberries and lemon custard definitely helped though, kinda shook things up a bit and added a juicy yet creamy consistency to each bite and great flavor. I enjoyed it! On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd definitely hit it again! Seems like there's a number of spots in Ahwatukee I have yet to experience that I need to explore! read more

Despite that, we were able to be seated immediately. It WAS in the middle of the restaurant and slightly uncomfortable- but something I can easily speak up about if it happens again. I met my parents here for an anniversary brunch yesterday and it was a great time! I've been to First Watch before, but not to this location. My mom and I got there about 10-15 minutes before my dad did (there was a miscommunication) but the staff were all really nice and understanding that we were waiting for him. While we were waiting, my mom and I got drinks - she got their Purple Haze and I tried the Pineapple Express. The Purple Haze is my go-to when I come to First Watch, so I already knew it would be delicious. Hence, I tried something different. My drink was fruity and sweet and absolutely divine. I'm very happy with my choice to try it out. I opted to indulge in their biscuit and gravy breakfast, which came with eggs and a side of potatoes. I am such a fan of biscuits and gravy, and that's how I usually judge a restaurant I've never been to before - how good their biscuits are. I was pretty impressed! It was turkey sausage, and was quite flavorful. The biscuit could have been a tad less dry, but it was nothing to lose a star over or complain about, really. The potatoes were delicious, as always, and seasoned to perfection. The eggs were surprisingly good too. I'm really picky about the texture of the eggs I eat and usually restaurants do not fit that need, but First Watch definitely came through. The eggs were fluffy and delicious. My mom ordered their elevated egg sandwich (sans mayo) and my dad got their steel cut oatmeal, with blueberries. I've personally had their elevated egg sandwich and it's honestly my usual order, so I definitely agree with my mom that it's a solid breakfast. While I've never indulged in their oatmeal, my dad was impressed with it - he even got his choice of milk, which was pretty cool. Our server was training a newbie, and they both did a great job. Attentive, prompt, and very nice to interact with. They explained that we could pay by scanning a QR code or up at the front. We opted to scan the code - quick and painless! If you've read any other review of mine, you'll know that I'm hard of hearing and often struggle in public places because of music and background noise. While the music playing could be heard (even by me, so it may have been louder than I thought lol) it wasn't crazy loud and my parents and I didn't have to yell across the table to hear each other. That was nice, too. If you're looking for a solid breakfast/brunch/lunch spot, I recommend checking out this First Watch. They're open from 7am until 2:30pm, so whether you're an early bird like me or a sleeper-iner, there's a way to make it work. read more

New place where sweet tomatoes used to be. It's so nice and spacious inside! Very elevated from the first watch I've been to! I was debating between the BLTE and the roast Beef with havarti. I ended up choosing the roast beef havarti. I thought it was okay. I was actually surprised because the cheese is cooked onto the outside of the bread. So when you're eating the sandwich with your hands, your hands become covered in oily cheesy grease. I actually thought to myself, did they put the bread upside down when making the sandwich accidentally? Before I asked, I checked online and sure enough, the cheese is on the outside of the sandwich. Great soft opening today! The staff was very busy. Servers buzzing around and team lead trainers putting it all together. I had the smoked salmon frittata made as an omelette with egg whites. No extra charge for the egg whites. Nice. It was delicious. Packed with great flavor. The fruit was a little tough so I didn't finish it. The bread and jam were awesome as well. The iced tea was fresh brewed and very good. So many times iced tea is watered down. We were given a complimentary drink. A type of lemonade with beet juice on top. Very addicting. I will come back to try the kale drink. It sounded fantastic. The decor was great. Very classy, clean lines yet comfortable. Very nice and welcoming. This will be a great Ahwatukee breakfast spot. I got one hard boiled egg, one undercooked egg on top of a un-toasted bun and my salmon didn't taste or smell fresh. The table shared the Mission dollar Bacon which was a seasonal item for a Starter. It had some nice heat but it was subtle. For mains, the best was the Shosito Brisket Hash off the seasonal menu. Our kiddo had the egg sandwich but subbed chicken sausage patty for the Bacon. He really liked it. I got a breakfast quinoa powerbowl with Italian sausage, kale, mushrooms and roasted tomatoes. It was a little bland. It felt like mostly quinoa. Maybe if there was double the amount of veggies or a pesto or sauce I might enjoy it more. The marketing photo looked like it had 2x the amount of veggies. That's the only one I wouldn't order again. We shared a delicious carrot cake Multigrain pancake. We would definitely return.
