This Luna Grill opened sometime in the spring and I finally got to try it a few weeks ago. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and patient with me, especially since it was my first visit. The space is bright and offers plenty of seating, and the decor is very chic. I ordered the following to-go: Herbed burrata $8.49 Luna Vida classic bowl with salmon $16.99 Baklava $2.49 My order was prepared fairly quickly. I had barely sat down when the staff brought it out to me. The herbed burrata was interesting. I am used to a soft, solid form, but theirs had a liquid consistency, similar to a tzatziki. Flavor was herby. The Luna Vida classic bowl with salmon was filling, delicious, packed with a variety of textures, which I love. The baklava was also very good! I came to Luna grill after reviving a promotional mailing them since they're new to the area, and boy am I glad I did! This is my new favorite local Mediterranean spot! The restaurant certainly looks clean and brand new, staff were very friendly at the front counter, and the menu offers quite a selection. I had the Santorini Bowl, which was refreshing and delicious. The only downside here was the wait time. While it was very busy (I'm guessing due to the dinner rush plus the promotional mailing that went out), I saw a couple of people waiting 20+ minutes for their food which, in my opinion, is too lengthy for a fast casual type of dining. Thank you Luna Grill for bringing amazing and healthy Mediterranean food to Gilbert! We've been in dire need for a great spot and now we have one! I dined here a few days after their Grand Opening...and then returned recently with the family. It's hard to keep a good thing all to myself! The staff is very friendly and gave me a quick briefing on the menu and what's in a few of the sauces I was unfamiliar with (where has schug been my whole life?!? Amazing sauce). The interior uses a great blue and sand color scheme and the lights and bathroom wall mural are simple but stylish. They have exterior seating as well which was empty my first visit (lunchtime on a hotter day) and full on my last visit (sundown and high 70s). My first time I ordered a chicken kabob plate with harissa hummus, rice and a side of garlic feta. The chicken is beautifully marinated and very tender. The rice was soft and good but not any bold flavor. The harissa hummus was excellent. My second visit I tried the Santorini Bowl: pearled couscous, hummus, pickled onion, schug sauce, olives, rice, kale and tzatziki. And of course I had to get the chicken again as my protein. The bowl was excellent! Everything in the bowl paired so well together! Every bite was different and scintillating. In the beverage department they have a Coke fountain and a few dispensers with tea, mango lime agua fresca and a strawberry hibiscus drink. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! read more

Loved the freshness of the food, the kids meal was large and filling. They have fountain drinks which I like and the restaurant is clean and bright. The only two minor critiques I would have is that there aren't any entres under $10 and it did take a while to get the food. With that said, I'm always happy to wait for food that tastes fresh off the grill- which this one did. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something that is fresh - it has something for everyone. The salmon was well cooked, and both of our orders came out on time The outside patio area was great as well! Came here on opening day and was very pleased with both the food and service. I downloaded the rewards app and placed a pick up order. The chicken and salmon were delicious! Got the plate and added an extra kabob. I didn't really care for the Mediterranean salad. My daughter had the pita and looked amazing. First time visiting Luna Grill. Meals for my wife and I was $55. Ordered the Gyro and fries, which I was not able to get because they were out of the gyro meat. I then defaulted to the chicken pita. my wife's and I dinner took about 20 min to get which was then served cold. Fries were cold, chicken was cold. My wife's steak was cold as well. The building is nice and the endorses decorated well but lousy food and lousy service doesn't make up for that so I don't think we'll be back and they don't take cash. Food was all right, but I just have to protest the price. It's absolutely insane. $16 for a bowl is absolute crazy work. And the plate that comes with a skewer of chicken or beef only comes with one skewer if you want an additional one and that's an extra $5 wild Every other Mediterranean place I go to standard comes with 2 skewers for one price This Luna Grill is literally same price in the San Diego location, THIS IS ARIZONA not a CA Luna Grill That being said, the service was nice and the ambience was decent but again see a developers need to understand AZ demographics I would highly recommend to instead go to the great Greek Green corner restaurant Princess market for better quality more portion better priced food read more

We went to Luna Grill tonight to try for the first time and my husband was sorely disappointed. I got a Medi macro bowl which was tasted great but he got the steak kabobs with 2 sides. The kabobs had more of a gamey or lamb flavor, the rice had hard crunchy rice mixed through it like it wasn't completely cooked and he didn't like the house salad dressing on his salad as he said it was too vinegar heavy. We may try it again to ensure if it was just that we showed up 30 minutes before close that it wasn't the best but our visit was a huge disappointment. read more

The food is excellent--fresh, flavorful, and consistently tasty. Unfortunately, the service is a completely different story. There appears to be little to no management presence, and the staff seem largely unsupervised and inadequately trained. Most of the employees are young and focused on simply getting orders out the door rather than providing a good dining experience. The restaurant prioritizes takeout orders while dine-in customers sit waiting. If you're dining with family or a group, don't expect everyone to receive their food at the same time. Our meals came out at different times, making it difficult to enjoy the experience together. This restaurant has great food and plenty of potential, but without stronger management, better training, and improved organization, it will struggle to retain customers. An intervention in operations and customer service is badly needed. read more

Showed up during dinner hour so I expect it to be busy but... 28 minutes to get our order from payment to in our hands. We were far from the only people waiting and waiting and waiting for a to go order. The restaurant is small, there was nowhere to sit while we waited except outside which was 100 degrees (south exposure), no shade and of course no way to hear our order called if we had chosen to wait there. It was less than five minutes from pick-up to our hotel; the meat should have still been warm to slightly hot. It was COLD. As in, not even room temperature warm. The gyro kebob meat was bland and dry ("jerky-like" popped in my head as an apt description). The "spicy hummus" had a promising-looking red sauce dolloped on top that was not spicy at all. We understand the gilbert location has been open just a month. We went for lunch yesterday for my birthday- it was a very clean and a bright atmosphere and the staff was very friendly.
