Sadly disappointed. I wanted to like them as their options sounded good. Went in at 3pm so we were the only ones there. They were out of the salad I wanted so I opted for a sandwich as a lettuce wrap. The lettuce was wilted and the chicken was small. First though, it does have a great outdoor seating and large indoor seating area where you can do your order in a computer. The outdoor seating was not clean though so we had to make do. Our order took a while but there were people ahead of us which made sense. I ordered a salad with chicken which was $3 extra. They forgot my chicken. They added it but was not worth the price. I've gotten a couple things here and it hasn't disappointed! I recently got the lux 2slider box combo for $10 which I think is a decent deal. This is one of my favorite fast food places, they have a fun atmosphere, friendly staff, fast service, and good food. I love that they have gf chicken nuggets and both their fries and tots are so good. However I was slightly disappointed when I took my order to go and then open it up and see a chunk missing from the bun. The flavors weren't bad but wasn't as schezuan spicy as I was looking for. Overall I wish the portion sizes were slightly larger however as it was a Togo order in the drive through maybe that was why the fries were a bit smaller. Also the size of the chicken sandwich is almost in-between a traditional chicken sandwich and a slider. As it was a take our order through the drive through I can't speak much on the inside ambiance but it did seem to have good vibes. String lights and a colorful sign which I liked. My family and I really enjoyed our experience here. We happened to be here during happy hour and I had the most delicious margarita. I was really surprised at how good it was and the price was just $6 and some change. The vegetarian vegan Meati sandwich is so good! Wow, it was huge too and it's made from mushroom root. They have a wide variety but their ordering system can be confusing. I got the ranger chicken sandwich without the jam. Sandwich was cooked fresh and on a brioche bun that was fresh. The tater tots were some of the best I've had with a good crunch and soft center. My only complaint was the price. My sandwich, tater tots and a 16 oz drink was $18.00. She had explained the self order kiosk and when I asked if she had any reccomandations she said the bees knees was really good. And i cannot lie it was sooooo delicious. We also sat outside next to the mini-golf strip. A combination of the weather and little enjoying the area, we really enjoyed our visit! I ordered the Mediterranean salad and my husband got the spring chicken. We also ordered 3 chicken tenders, fries, and then a BBQ and Luxe slider. The chicken is great, really good. The fries are decent. But my salad was really bad...it is supposed to come w chickpeas but it came with none. This is disappointing because it's clearly a main component of the salad. Birdcall is my new go-to when I'm craving fast food. The ambiance feels like an "upscale" fast food restaurant with a beautiful and clean dining room as well as outdoor seating, though it's mostly self-service. You can place your order using a screen at the counter then collect it from the pick-up window once it's ready. As a non-meat eater, I appreciate their meatless offering, the Meati as well as their gluten-free bun option. Both are great in my opinion. However, the Meati is only available as a sandwich. So far, my favorite is the Buffalo which comes with your protein of choice tossed in Buffalo sauce, tomato, and blue cheese coleslaw. Very tasty. I also enjoy their fries. (IMO, the fries are to be avoided) This is the first time I've ordered a salad as my side and I was impressed with the quality and quantity: spinach, kale and romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes and cucumber. Their sweet tea is not overly sweet (so, not technically a "Southern sweet tea" and more like a "sweetened black tea." This location does not have as many non-alcoholic drink options as some others, but there is some variety. It's the usual Birdcall drill: order on the kiosk then watch the monitor for your order to be delivered to a "bay" for pickup. They have a larger outside seating area than some locations. My K-Pop sandwich was ok. The kimchi slaw was nice but I found the sauce to be way more salty than spicy, which was disappointing. Crank up the gochujang, please! read more

I chose the Lux slider which was a tender wrapped in bread with lettuce, a small strip of bacon, a pickle slice, and dressing. The sliders were on the smaller side but they were tender and flavorful. I had the tater tots for the side and they weren't what I was expecting. They were really soggy and didn't have any flavor. I chose the herb mayo for my sauce and received one tiny cup. I'd stop by here again but only if I'm already in the area. I decided to head to this location which is one of two in the Phoenix metro area. I tried their limited time menu offering, Chicken Shwarma, which was good. The sandwich itself isn't overly large, but not small. I would expect it to be a little larger for the price of one sandwich at $10+. I ran out of chicken on the last part of my sandwich, and left with just the bun. The bun is spongy and definitely liked the bun. The sandwich flavors were good, this had a Mediterranean vibe with cucumbers and hummus. I didn't get any sides so I can't comment on that. The ordering process is through a kiosk, even with no one in line and staff at the front counter, you have to use the kiosks. And you do swipe your card first before picking menu items. Strange process. The staff member was kind enough to walk me through the kiosk situation, but it not a big fan of kiosk ordering and prefer interacting with real living humans. I can see this ordering as a way to limit hiring staff. But the lack of personal touch is part of the reason for taking away a star. After ordering, your name will go up on the TV screen above the pick up window bays, and you'll see how long your order will take and to which cubby your order will be delivered. I would still eat here if someone asked to meet up here, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to come here. Although I am curious to try the Ranch sandwich. So, maybe to be continued.... read more

Birdcall is so good! The restaurant is a cute little restaurant with self ordering and they have inside and outside seating areas. The outside area also has a few game areas to keep kiddos busy after they eat. The chicken sandwiches are sized appropriately and they have so many different choices. They also change out one sandwich each month to give you a new tasty option. The chicken tenders are cooked perfectly and have great breading and are decently sized. They have multiple count options depending on how hungry you are. They also offer gluten and dairy free nuggets that are actually very tasty. When ordering tenders or nuggets you get two sauce choices. The sauce cups are a little small and I wish they were double the size. The chipotle bbq and sweet mustard are my favorite. The French fries are shoe string style and taste delicious. And if tots are your thing they also have those available. If you aren't starving they have the perfect sized sliders to nibble on and even offer salads if you need a healthier option. And don't pass on the shakes they are soooo good. I've upgraded my opinion of Birdcall and have been here many times since. They've had some challenges in the service area for digital orders, but mostly it's OK. I don't recommend driving through and taking home. You should eat here or in your car. It's best when hot. They'd do well to create a rewards program and create something for faster (repeat) digital orders, but the classic is the best sandwich around. Just wish they'd include 1 sauce with it instead of serving it up dry. Solid 4 stars. read more

One of my new favorite places in Gilbert. A round of applause for whoever designed this location - ambiance and convenient! First - let's talk about the TWO separate drive thru lanes - one is your traditional drive thru where you look at the menu and order and the second lane is for digital pickup orders! I often order online and then it's smooth sailing through the digital pick up order lane. Second - if you are dining in, you walk in and you order at a kiosk! As someone who usually isn't shy, but ordering at a kiosk is just so efficient and I can replace ingredients and/or take out ingredients without feeling like a nuisance. After you place your order, there's a section of cubbies where you pick up your order and there's a tv counting down until your order is ready! Lastly - I probably should have put this first, but the food is good! My personal favorite is The Rancher - it has the Bird B-Q sauce and little bacon bits. Their fries and tots are both so good, especially with the Bird B-Q sauce. Their chicken sandwiches are really good, but I wasn't a big fan of the nuggets and tenders. Ok Birdcall, I see you!!!! My husband and I came in on a Saturday night. There was a line to order at the kiosk, but it moved quickly. Once you order at the kiosk, your name is on a big tv, and your order is ready in the bay listed. We weren't really sure how it worked at first, but saw the big tv across from our table. I feel like there were so many employees trying to help people figure out what to do, they might as well have been taking orders. We saw some workers take peoples dishes out of the way, while other tables sat dirty for several minutes after customers left. We both used the bathrooms to wash our hands before dinner, and we were shocked that there were no paper towels (only one hand dryer) and you have to pull the door to get out of the bathroom - that's not the most sanitary thing. Onto the food - the star of the show! I had the original chicken sandwich, a nod to chick fil a's original chicken sandwich, I'm sure. It was exactly the same, but elevated! The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and was seasoned incredibly well. I was only missing some sort of sauce. All sauces (except ketchup) are 50 cents for a 1oz cup - a ripoff IMO. The fries were good and reminded me of how Burger King's fries used to be in the 90s lol. You get a pretty big serving for the price you pay. We also tried the coleslaw. It tasted fresh and not soggy!
