    Hangry Fix
    Michael W.

With locations in California, Nevada, and now in Arizona, Angry Chickz has found their newest location in Mesa, AZ. Specializing in Nashville Hot Chicken, Angry Chickz is one of the newest hot chicken places in the east valley. I've been stalking their Instagram for a while so I knew exactly what I wanted. I got the Hangry Fix (two tenders over rice with mac & cheese, slaw, and Angry Chickz Sauce). It's a whopping 1,810 calories but hey, their Instagram Reels worked because I still got it. It's a great way to taste a little bit of everything too. The buttery rice was tasty, the mac and cheese is everything you want, and the coleslaw calms the spice. At "hot" spice level, it made me sweat. The cashier said it was ghost pepper level and it was spicy for sure. I will be getting it at medium spice next time to have it be enjoyable. Check out their calorie count if you want to witness something truly horrifying. Yikes. If you're getting their hottest level, "Angry," get ready to sign the waiver online. They won't be held accountable for your bad decisions.

Love to see Angry Chicz in Town. I've been to the Oceanside location when visiting. Great combo meals. Went with medium might try hot next time. Fast service and with experience will get even better. Meals around $15 without drinks so fairly pricey. Had the #4 with extra pickles.

Tried Angry Chickz in Mesa--chicken is legit and the fries are good. Coleslaw is just... there. Ordered "hot" , it's hotter than it should be. Going medium next time like a humbled adult. Overall, a slight step above Dave's Hot Chicken... but no ranch?? That's a bold (and questionable) choice.

I had gotten the 2 tenders and subbed the fries for coleslaw and the service was amazing as soon as I walked in I felt more then welcome I felt at home and the 2 ladies working register Tamera and careasa were so beautiful and pleasant and gave me amazing service would come here again 100000000 out of 10

Angry chickz is good but extremely spicy. It was a very easy menu to choose from. I got the 2 tenders with rice and coleslaw. I chose the middle level of hot and it was spicy! At other places I can put up with hot wings with a hot level spicy with no issue but this was a struggle. It was still good but I absolutely needed that coleslaw. Service was great no complaints and the area was very clean. Would try again but not at that spice level and I would love to sit in the hot seat.

New spot in Mesa!I boy was I humbled with how spicy it was! I wanted to get extra hot but the woman (she was awesome by the way service was great) warned me and I had a sample and grateful I did, I went down to hot and it was still spicy but so good! Will definitely do medium next time. My boyfriend and I shared the #1, two sliders and fries and got a side of mac and cheese and coleslaw

#3 Meal- chicken sandwich and a chicken tender with french fries

I really did not enjoy my meal at all. I love spice and I cook with a lot of spices, but this was just entirely too hot! I got the number three meal which includes the chicken sandwich and a chicken tender. I will say the lady at the counter warned me that the hot is made with ghost peppers. I should have listened to her because that shit was insanely spicy to the point that it was uncomfortable. I took one bite and that was all I could do. I must admit I got it without coleslaw so maybe the coleslaw helps temper the heat but still it was too hot. I got the chicken tender, and I got that at a medium spice level. And again it was way too spicy. To me all you can taste is spice and you can't really taste the chicken. The fries even came out with some sort of spice on them. It was just too much spice! Again anyone that knows Me knows that I put Tabasco sauce on everything I cook with Serrano peppers and I make my food fairly spicy, but this is ridiculous! I don't understand why you would make the food so spicy that it's painful to eat and all you can taste is hotness! That does not make you a good cook. It makes you someone who overseas their food and that's not good! I won't be going back to this place ever again! Oh yeah it was $22 with the drink and a tip. I couldn't finish my meal and I threw it away so that was $22 down the drain. I did leave a 15% tip but I regret that. Here's my tip: stop over seasoning your food and make it edible!

    Combo #3

PLEASE DO NOT GET THE HOT LEVEL. ITS SO SPICY LOL! The cashier told us that the hot is made with ghost pepper but it was the level above medium so we thought we can do hot. We love hot food but this is SO HOT. If you ever had buldak ramen, it's spicier than that. My boyfriend says it's just spicy to be spicy, no taste. He doesn't know who would like this. One bite and your out The fries are bomb as hell though

I'm a big sports fan so as soon as I walked in, I was all about the baseball and sports collection all around the restaurant. Lots of great fun facts about baseball greats like Jackie Robinson, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays & many more. To eat, I went with the Triple Crown, which is a double steakburger, bacon and a fried egg. I added lettuce, tomato's and pickles. I thought the egg was gonna be fried all the way through, but it was more like a fried sunny-side-up egg. I wasn't gonna let that stop me from enjoying. Added the fries & drink combo to the burger and figured to upgrade to the garlic fries to see how they were done. While I waited, I enjoyed the decor and learn a few new things about some of my favorite baseball players. My burger was on point and great. I like the garlic fries, but I've always included rosemary, and I think that was missing for me. They have alcohol and a bar around the corner. I like being able to self-serve myself with soft drinks. Seating outside is patio pet-friendly and offers great shading if you come in the afternoon as the sun sets behind the building. They have this location and one in Flagstaff that I will absolutely return back for. I do think I spent more than expected, but it was a great quality burger. I just wish the fries came with it for that price.

When my husband asked where I wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary, I really wanted a casual place where we could bring the kids, and I was really in the mood for some good, old-fashioned American food. I wanted a delicious burger, french fries, and a milkshake! We decided to get there on an early Friday evening after we finished work and we got a parking spot right out front. We walked right up to order our food, no line. It appeared that we had beat the Rush because the place definitely filled in by the time we got our food. I was surprised at the prices, but I was happy to pay it because we had such an enjoyable experience with such delicious food.
