We recently went to Angry Crab for graduations and had a great meal. It's a fun place that doesn't get too serious but the food is legit. My son and I had a seafood boil and it was pretty good. We had king crab, shrimp, and lobster - all good, but rather expensive. The shrimp was a steal for a full pound, and we would probably skip the lobster tail next time. Make sure to get all the sauces and seasonings, because that really gives the boil great flavor. The other entrees were decent, but go for the boil (obviously). Service was great and the people were all very nice. Good food, fair price, and stick to what they are known for and you will be happy. Worth checking out for sure! read more

The food was really tasty. Loved the clam chowder and the dipping bread. My boyfriend really enjoyed his seafood boil with the trifecta sauce. That trifecta sauce is deliciousssss! He loved the crawfish. I tried a shrimp and potato from the boil, super yummy. My fish and chips were ok. The coleslaw was pretty dry, not gonna lie. But overall, the food was great! Service was very friendly and our server was attentive. The inside of the restaurant is nice and spacious. They had raw oysters and fried oysters but we wanted to try something different so we ordered the charred oysters. Loved them. The food it's live crawfish based review so I've tried most of their locations and have had exceptional service and food. HERE NEVER AGAIN! I mentioned the first pound was over cooked hard to peel and asked to cook them a little less bartender did so not a huge change in quality but I know the effort was there once shift change the experience plummeted QUICKLY. WAY OVER COOKED! only this location with this issue though. This place their ambiance is larger and offer patio dining their bartenders are very green after not drinking anything including water and eating 3 pounds of crawfish 2 alcoholic drinks prior I was told I was cut off after I finished pound 3 because I ordered a third alcoholic drink. Confused still today I'm confused I had been there since 2 and it was now 6 because I know my limits with food and alcohol. I still tipped 10% but as someone who tips great it was more charity than deserving. I would recommend any location outside this one. read more

If I could give more than 5 , I absolutely would! The food was incredible, and our server, Mars, went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. The settings relaxed which is nice, though it's a bit loud when they start ringing the bell and sounding the alarms in there - that is something I could have done without. The service was good. The food was overall decent with the exception of the chicken strips, they weren't even real chicken. It was the nasty ground up stuff. I broke one open and immediately sent them back. We absolutely love Angry Crab, there are a lot of seafood boil places out there, but none that beat the flavors of Angry Crab! We actually loved the old location in the Ahwatukee Foothills better but this location is second best. I wish they had a bigger bar with more selections like the old one, so we just sit at the tables here. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. We always split a bag of head off shrimp with veggies and sausage! Plus we ALWAYS order extra sauces for dipping! I really like the flavor of the two and three but my husband really enjoys spice but he prefers the flavor of four more than the five. Both are super spicy but the five seems to make him feel sick after eating it... FYI if You're debating between the two! It's the perfect amount of food and if you're extra hungry grab some French fries on happy hour for a starter cause they are excellent! Left with a bad taste. They completely screwed up my order. Didn't offer to remake it or any sort of discount. It's becoming extremely overpriced for what it is and the fact I had to eat something I didn't order so they didn't waste crab and then didn't even discount the meal any is pretty bad customer service. The sever put in the order correctly, my tag proved that. The kitchen screwed up and no manager ever visited our table to try to make it right. I didn't want to make a scene but next time, if there is a next time, I will make sure they correct my order. Disappointed is the bad customer service. read more

We got the seafood boil and it was amazing! Fun experience where you get to dump the food on the table and use bibs. We got the Cajun seasoning for two boil, it came with King Crab, snow crab, dungeness crab, lobster tails, and shrimp, corn cobs, potatoes, and eggs. Added an $18 lobster tail to my boil -it was very small. Probably normal - no biggie, that's what I ordered. Also ordered a snow crab cluster in the boil for $20. It had 2 legs for $20. Update: I just read the owners response. We've been to other Angry Crab locations before and usually always order medium because my spouse likes heat and I don't do well with a lot of heat so medium is max that I can tolerate but if it wasn't even spicy to me I'm thinking the medium spice might have been forgotten and not added. I was a little surprised at this location used to be the old tilted kilt years ago. Interior is typical, angry crab. The service was very good. And the food was also very good. With all the extras it seemed to be a good value for the amount of food, and it was quite quite tasty. Poor service. Food is so so. Not the greatest. Goty kids ice cream and found a long gross hair in it. Asked for another one just for the manager and 2 workers to laugh at us. No one asked for refund. Just want another ice cream. And our waiter legit said "wasn't there when I dropped it off". My wife has short hair and so does me and my boys. So customer service skills are very poor. Was rushed and got the check handed to us when we weren't done and wanted more drinks. Waiter legit came every 5 minutes to ask "is the check ready?" For the next 20 minutes. We are a big fan of angry crab and always been to Mesa location. We wanted to give this location a try and went in for a dinner on Wednesday night. There was tilted kilt before and it's at the same location IYKYK. The place is comparatively new, everything clean and fresh. We went with mango margarita for drinks and our regulars 2lbs of head off shrimp, lobster tail and wanted to try the craw fish this time. As usual picked trifecta sauce, medium spice. Also ordered chicken tenders and jambalaya too. The food arrived fresh, service quick and good. The first bite we felt all our food was very salty. We called and informed the manager but she couldn't do much about it. We just didn't enjoy our food, it was so salty, it just didn't feel right. Also, would never suggest craw fish, it shouldn't be on the menu, there's nothing much in that fish. The jambalaya had before at different places, this was rather poor over here. Though the place opened in November, still looks like the food is not at par to the Mesa location. The vibe is just ok, overall we just weren't in for the salty food. So wanted to enjoy but just wasn't our night. Will stick to Mesa location next time. read more

Had a little shaft with my take-out order. Ordered 2lbs Queen Crab 1 lb. of Snow kids fried shrimp and sweet potato fries. I'd never been to this location and when my husband got home with the food it wasn't exactly what we ordered. Of course I called the Manager and he offered to remake it. I told him I'd come in the next day since I hadn't been to this location. We met "Dave" the Ops Mgr. This guy and his staff were some of the kindest employees I've met. The inside & outside are welcoming and it is truly a pleasure to spend money here. Kid Menu cheeseburger is delicious (grilled, juicy) served bare so you can add your own sauce. Generous order of french fries perfectly cooked and the Ranch is AMAZING. Thick, luscious, delicious!! My Personal Fav Order is always at Medium (2) for a nice kick. MUSSELS in the Pacific Rim (curry) sauce is perfect pairing. Add the seasonal vegetables. CLAMS in Cajun with a potato and a corn. The Church Music beer on tap complements this order so well that I keep coming back and doing it the exact same way.
