This was a great find. My girlfriend and I had a commitment nearby and not being from the area, plus with limited time, I jumped on Yelp to see what was available. We liked all the reviews about fresh and unique sandwiches and those reviews were accurate! Ingredients were fresh, quantity was plentiful and the bread outstanding. The potato salad side was delicious and, yes, fresh. The dirty chips were fantastic, too. Not sure why there are so many comments about their prices being high. We felt for what you get for your $, the prices were quite fair. The service was outstanding, as well. The young lady behind the counter could tell this was our first time from us studying the menu board up on the wall so hard. Was craving a good sandwhich and came here for lunch. This parking lot is always a struggle but so glad I stopped by. This is a San Diego based company and this is their only location in AZ. We got the Italian sub and turkado, I added bacon and asked for the company sauce! It's very tango, a little sweet but so good! The sandwhiches are huge. I got the TURKADO (Turkey Brest, Jack Cheese Avoada Lettuce Tomato, & Mayo on sourdough bread) with a side of secret sauce. I also added Dirty Style Potato Chips: Sour Cream & Onion with a Root-beer as my drink. They have a few TVs to watch and about 9 tables plus a bar area to sit at. My sandwich was good and full of avocado (my shirt tasted some too). I liked their secret sauce to add flavor. Staff was nice and checked how I was doing. I did have to ask to have a table cleaned off as it had left over lettuce on it. Glad I found this location and will be back. Small parking lot to park in behind establishment with no street parking. We ordered 20 sandwiches, Chips, Drinks, and Cookies to be delivered to the Event in Tempe. We ordered their popular Turkado, Chicken Club, Wrap, and Pastrami melt. When we arrived, the place was very packed. We didn't think anything of it until I got up to the register and the lady told me it would be about a 25-30 minute wait. I said it was okay and ordered my sandwich, assuming they overestimate the wait time and it would less than that, especially for a simple sandwich. 25 minutes later and still nothing. I asked if I missed my order be called out, and they just brushed it off saying it was just a long wait, even thought I was positive I saw people who ordered before us getting their meals. 40 minutes rolls around and I start panicking because we have an appointment to be at. After 47 minutes, they finally call my name. Service time was ridiculous for a simple cold cut sandwich that I could've gotten at Jersey Mikes for no wait at all. I found the sandwich to be incredibly wet and drenched, and the bread was rather thick for my liking. It also had an incredibly sweet taste, which I have never experienced with my Italian subs from Jersey Mikes. I will just stick to what I know works, from now on. Sorry Board & Brew, your salads never failed me at the California locations but this Tempe one- wouldn't return. I walked in from the back parking lot around 3:10pm and immediately went to the restroom. It was clean and I love the sign on the door. After, I walked up to the front to the counter. There were two young men doing content for the store, and after about 15 seconds, I was greeted by who I found out to be was the partial owner Carlos. SUPER cool dude! Helpful, patient, good vibe. I'm a bit slow and indecisive when it comes to me picking and so I appreciated him, helping me out determine what was on the menu, and he went to the back to check if the spinach wraps had gluten (which I was 99% sure they were cause they always are) Anyway, I ordered the chicken club, but i wanted to add jalapeños and red onions to it. It was absolutely delicious. I see why they recommended the French baguette bread. Nice and fresh. Gluten usually upsets my tummy, but it was worth it. The store was pretty slow when I came in. It was only a couple eating, the two content guys, and then 3 people came in for pick up orders. I also got the Blakc Widow Hard Cider which was yummy too but not very cold :( while I appreciate the cold glass. Overall, great experience. I recommend you stop in. Then I walked outside The only takeaway from the inside as it was a bit loud but the outside was no better as the seating faces the busy road. It took a few minutes for my sandwich to arrive but in the meantime, I ordered a brew. I was impressed with the fact you could have a beer and a sandwich nice touch. Was I wasn't expecting was a limited selection to choose from With all the handcrafted beers from the Valley alone, I was confused. By this time my sandwich had made it to my table at first glance, it appeared to look great. I took one bite and it was blah for me. No flavor, no spice. I wasn't really a fan I guess. It looks way better in pictures than what it actually tasted like. I was pretty disappointed since I've been wanting to try this place out in forever. So when I was traveling home and saw that there was one near my hotel I had to stop and pick up some sandwiches for the drive back to Cali. I walked in and felt the vibe of Board & Brew from home. I ordered the Turkey Deluxe my favorite, and a turkey sandwich on sourdough for my daughter to go. The Turkey Deluxe is Turkey Breast, Cheddar Cheese, Roasted Unsalted Sunflower Seeds topped with our Sweet & Sour Dressing on a French Baguette. I always order it on sourdough though, the baguette is too much for me. They have indoor sitting and a bar area as well. It was packed when I walked in. It was tough finding a parking space as well. Stopped in our way home from the Fiesta Bowl to try this out for the first time. Hubby ordered the beef dip and a Cali' Creamin' Nitro. I forgot to take a pic before he devoured it so it's safe to say he enjoyed it! I got the vegi Supreme and it was PACKED with ingredients! The bread is a bit thicker than I prefer just because it made it hard to eat but it was soft and fresh! Usually vegetarian sandwiches are lame like here's some lettuce and onions, but this was fantastic! The dirty potato chips are amazing too. I love the crispy kettle cook and the flavor! Friend with us got the left coast pastrami and she said it was good just wish they stocked up on the sauerkraut (we are east coasters used to NYC pastrami sandwiches, but this held up in comparison). Haley was super friendly and was even kind enough to switch one of the TVs so we could watch the Rose Bowl! She offered some recommendations about the sandwiches and chips as well. Just so friendly and helpful! The manager stopped by to help clean up the table and check in on us too. We had the place pretty much to ourselves (especially with students on break), but I can see why this place is popular. Great food, drinks, and staff.
