The front entrance felt magical with the strings of lights creating such a fun and inviting atmosphere. The food and service were both good, and they had plenty of options for everyone to enjoy. One of the best parts was that they also had games for adults, which made it feel like more than just a place to eat. Definitely a fun one stop spot for food, drinks, and entertainment.

Social Hall, if I were to sum up my experience in 1 sentence, an effortlessly laidback night with friends alongside enjoyable dishes we'll order for the next visit. To start off, you walk into a very open multi-section patio with space for 50-60 people to sit and stand, with games already set out like Jenga to play outdoors of the restaurant and inside there's a few arcade games that are free to play as well. My party was greeted with very welcoming and playful energy from the servers and front desk which set the mood off to an upbeat and fun vibe. From 4 people who enjoy good food, try them out for a slightly sweet teriyaki marinated steak that is cooked just right for tacos in my opinion. If you're a meat lover, 100% recommend the Ribeye because the chimichurri only complements and enhances the meat flavor rather than overtaking in my past experiences elsewhere. Another highlight was their Zero Proof drinks if you just want something tasty with no mind altering, try out the lavender lemonade for a subtly fruity noted lemonade with the essence of lavender. To wrap up my thoughts, don't come here alone if you can help it!

First time here and I'm obsessed! This restaurant is so big and has numerous different areas for seating! They also have a bunch of games to play and they are all free! We had so much fun playing skee ball! We sat at the bar are the bartenders were really friendly and helpful with questions on the menu! I had the Mexican bowl and my friend the tinga tacos. Both items were super flavor filled and good sized so you definitely won't be left hungry! Everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. Can't wait to come back here and play more games! This would be a great location to have an event at!

After the Yelpies evemt I had to go back for more. This place is so fun and lively. The staff members are great too. I made it for happy hour tonight with my sister and Sonia was our waitress. She was very helpful and made sure to confirm our order to make sure she put it in correctly. April also stopped by our table and was awesome. She made us feel right at home with superb hospitality. I ordered the nachos with no roasted corn or beans, but added chicken. These were so good and the portion was enough for two people. It was a mountain of nachos that I tore up. Eerything about them was on point. I aslo ordered bbq wings, but I was so full from the nachos I just had to take them to go. I'm looking forward to chexcking out the covered patio that's an enclosed outside game area with pool tables, giant Jenga, and ping-pong. Looks so fun. So glad I have a new Tempe hangout.

My friend and I were looking for a place to hang out in and let me tell ya'... this place was CRACCCKINN' LOL Parking was near impossible but was unsure if it was due to a company event that was being hosted there (funny enough, I think it was a Yelp company event haha!). It's nice to know that you can host events.. but just a heads up that even though the parking lot is HUGE, parking may be a little difficult if an event is being hosted here. This is basically an adult playground.. you have drinks, the vibe is great, you have a tiny arcade area, billiards, ping pong, etc.! The food here is GREAT.. actually, it was larger than my friend and I expected so we got full fairly quick hahaha. It took awhile to get seated but I'm assuming it's because of how busy all the employees were with the event going on! Either way, our waitress was great and very attentive. The food and drinks came out quick, and they definitely went above and beyond! I would visit again to re-experience it on a day when it's less crazy.

My cousin had her baby sprinkle here last Saturday and this place did not disappoint. We were a party of 8 and they accommodated us very quickly sat us out on the patio. We were put in the shade, seated under umbrellas, and the misters were turned on for us. We had one server the entire time and he was friendly and attentive. We all ordered drinks and food. I ordered the Pollo Asado entrée and a jam packed Capri sun. The jam packed Capri sun was my fave as it cold, sweet, and had the right amount of alcohol. My food was delicious! The grilled chicken was flavorful and grilled perfectly. The risotto was the right consistency and tasted perfectly with the chicken. The broccolini and asparagus were al dente and also well seasoned. Everyone enjoyed their food and service. Checks can only be spilt three ways for big groups! Will be back!

Came here for the second time with some family and still am impressed. Sat inside this time due to the heat and I didn't even realize how fun this place was until now! So many games you can play to really keep the whole group entertained for a while. Food was bomb of course!

Food is good. Offer vegan items & happy hour specials. Fun, lively, spacious event space, bar, diner. Service is so-so, overall not great. Need improvement. Just a little rude & rushed.

Came here on a whim to get some cocktails. This place is nice! So much outdoor seating with fire pits. The inside was super cool, gives a slight bob to the speak easy vibes. Drinks were tasty and loved playing all the games. There was pool, ping pong, jenga, darts, shuffle board and more! Would definitely like to return for food too.

Food and all around vibe were amazing. I love the fact that the games are free (darts, ski ball and arcade games!) We were there with about 4 other tables, and the server seemed to be very very flustered. Our order came out incorrect but everything worked out just fine (things were missing and wrong) 4 stars for the service but the place itself is awesome and we would all return! Social Hall lives up to its name! This is a great place to meetup with friends to catch a game or just hang out a bit. Located near the NEC of McClintock and University, it's easy to miss if you're not familiar with the nondescript building. The main entrance is tucked behind another building. Once you've entered, you'll find a large outdoor patio as well as a covered space to relax. If you prefer A/C, the indoor dining area has plenty of seating (and maybe a second floor with even more). Our server was super friendly and attentive. He answered all our questions and happily accommodated one of my friend's special dietary needs. After our order arrived, he checked back twice to ensure all was good ... and it was! We ordered a variety of bottled beer and mixed drinks. I requested the Jammed Packed Capri Sun based solely on the name, given it "brought me back" to my childhood. I audibly giggled when it arrived in a plastic bag with a straw perched inside. So cute! It was fruity and flavorful, just as I expected it would be ... adult style, of course. I also opted for the Buffalo Mac. I didn't expect much, but may I just say "Wow"! The melted pepper Jack made this dish! It was smooth and creamy, making it a cohesive dish instead of a bowl full of individual ingredients. Delish! My friends ordered Bourbon Brisket and El Chapo burgers with (regular and sweet potato) fries and they were just as enamored. Prices at Social Hall aren't cheap, but they are competitive. Given the overall experience, I'd return in a heartbeat.

And I'm not sure who's giant face is hanging on the ceiling but it's short a spark conversation. The menu here has a little something for everyone. There's the regular loaded fries and wings, salads, and a nice election burgers. We ordered the Philly Salad and the Very Summer Salad with a side order of fries. They make their own ranch, and it is good. I will say they don't seem to skim on salad ingredients either - - the Philly salad was covered with shaved beef, and my berry salad had a lot of chicken and tons of blue cheese. The fries were delicious - - slightly seasoned and crispy. This place is clearly dog friendly. In fact the day we went there was a sweet Pitbull named Daisy who literally hopped up on a bar stool and sat there like a little angel the entire time. The bar had a dog full of water that they sat down on the counter next to her owner's beer. They also have dog biscuits to give. It made my day to see that sweet little dog hanging at the bar having a treat. This really is kind of a spot that feels like it's probably the hangout spot of many people. Great bar food and a good selection of beers. What's not to love?

Super over fried were all you can taste is old burnt oil and it dried out and the sauce just bland and not helping at all. The other thing that bothers us is the lack of wasabi they give! The strawberry topping also wasn't very appetizing--it seemed like it was meant to be more of a sauce, but it didn't quite work. During late-night happy hour my total was about $55 for a main entrée, an appetizer, a cocktail, and tip, which felt like a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised that happy hour runs every day Monday through Sunday from 3-6 PM and again from 8 PM to close. I also checked out the event venue on site, and it looks like it would be a great place for a company party, corporate event, or group gathering. I'll definitely be returning in the near future.

The Service was "electric" for us as we were celebrating a birthday at the table during lunch. It was too Hot for us to do pickleball, but they do have a fully shaded area that had people playing outside ~105 degrees. As for the food, we had the Fish & Chips with a Mahi Mahi Slaw & Fries, the Ahi Poke Tacos which come in Wonton shells. Hot Honey and Sausage Pizza was great. The Barbacoa Nachos had all the right ingredients & the Double Smash Burger had only some "fancy sauce" on the plate. The Tempura Green Bean, can't remember who ordered, but were good with the chipotle ranch sauce. With me, I'm all about the cocktails, so I treated myself to both the Froze Margarita & the Chi Chi. They call them spiked slushes, I call them "heaven sent" during the Arizona Summer. All of the food was a hit for the table and my family understood why I suggested EP for lunch! I said our Server was "electric" and that's because they made our experience very enjoyable. It was appreciated and I will return again for lunch and pickleball (in the evenings) during the hot summer!

We shared a Berry Avocado Quinoa Bowl and a Perfectly Grilled Cheese. They even plated them separately for us! (2 plates with half a grilled cheese and French fries on each and 2 bowls with our Berry Avocado quinoa! So sweet and helpful!) Everything was very delicious--fries were seasoned and crispy! The grilled cheese and sweet and salty (they use their spiced pear bread, a delicious four cheese blend and bacon). Quinoa bowl was very hearty! The space was cozy and not too loud--my friend and I were able to catch up without having to raise out voices. Cannot wait to come back to try the rest of their menu!

I ordered one of the side salads but I asked if I could have them add fresh pear to it because of course the name of the place is Perfect Pear Bistro so I was naturally craving pears. The ambience was cute and classy. I sat on the patio because it was gorgeous outside, but I did take a peek inside and it has a low lit upscale rustic vibe. There was plenty left in the salad after I housed my sandwich (elegantly) and I finally had to tap out and get a to-go box. Lovely little stop, would come back.

Our waiter was exceptionally wonderful, knowledgeable about the different menu options, and gracious enough to go along with some of our corny jokes. He even brought out a complimentary order of Brussels sprout chips because he said the wait for our appetizers was too long, but we actually felt like they arrived in a reasonable amount of time, so that just goes to show the high standard they uphold for themselves and their service. We came as a party of 9 which included 5 adults, 3 kids, and a baby and the booth they sat us at was very spacious and even had enough room to accommodate a high chair without feeling like we were in the way of other customers and staff members walking by. Last but not least, the food and cocktails were so delicious! I personally had the short rib ravioli which the description is spot on when it says one giant ravioli, because that's exactly what it is. If you're expecting a more traditional ravioli this might not be the dish for you, but I personally loved it and would order it again the next time we dine here.

It was recommended that we make a reservation, however, when we arrived on this Sunday afternoon at 1:30, it was not busy at all. Matter of fact, there was just a large table of six people and one other small group on the other side of the restaurant, so Sunday might be the prime time to come. They have a huge pizza oven in the corner, we'll have to come back and give that one a try. But today their lunch menu has a fried chicken sandwich that they were able to amend to be a grilled chicken sandwich and it comes with a Pomodoro dipping sauce- interesting! It was very good Husband had a meatball sandwich which was very filling But honestly, the star of the show was the soup of the day which was a chicken, orzo and vegetables in a tomato broth base. He said they don't make the same soup twice, lol so we actually got a bowl of it to go so I can have some tomorrow and see if I can reverse engineer it, lol. Billy took good care of us, although he accidentally forgot our Arincini appetizer which he then comped, not a problem at all- he brought them anyway and I'm glad he did. They were super creamy on the inside and yummy. My only complaint about this place is that I can imagine it gets very loud! Even with so few people in there with a large party seated at the booth they were incredibly loud and it was difficult for us to even hear each other. I will say, I loved the music that they were playing, foreigner, Don Henley, etc. perfect Sunday kind of music! I had a glass of wine and hubs had a beer and our total bill was $78. They do have a happy hour, and I will upload a picture of that.

Just like last time, our waitress was not attentive, and clearly had very little knowledge of the menu. &We had to chase her down, just like we did before, to get our bill, once we were ready to head out... My husband ordered the smokestack burger which had brisket on it. Before ordering, he asked if the burger had a beef patty on it, or if it was only brisket meat. The waitress told us it was only brisket. She said "it's not a burger patty, just more of a patty shape but it's brisket." That didn't quite make sense, but we figured she should know more about it than we do.... Right? Then he ordered a side of billionaire bacon for the burger. The menu does not even show that there is already bacon on the burger.... Had we known that, we wouldn't have ordered an additional side of it. I got the billionaire bacon burger. It was very flavorful. However, the fries did not taste fresh at all, and I felt that the recipe for the fries changed since last year. They just weren't as good as I remember them being? It was also a bit of a bummer that the waitress did not ask how we wanted our burgers cooked (and my husband wasn't even expecting a burger patty). They came out well done. We would have requested medium rare, had we been given the chance. All in all, this is still our anniversary destination, but we will certainly request a different waitress if we were paired up with her in the future.

The Moxy Hotel in Tempe has a convenient location, but it fell short in other areas…read more When you walk in, there is no traditional lobby. It's a lobby bar/game room and the bartender also serves as the person who checks you in. Rooms are bare minimum: thin mattress, no comforter just a blanket. No rugs or couch or any furniture and the walls were thin, making it hard to enjoy a quiet stay. The blackout curtains worked well. There was a huge beanbag chair which was fun. I didn't mind the lack of a closet. I thought the concept of hangers on the wall itself was funky, functional, and a better use of space in most cases. The "ironing room" -- a supposed area stocked with towels, toiletries, and other amenities. Unfortunately, it was completely understocked, for basic supplies like towels. It's clear there's a lack of attention to detail when it comes to maintaining the hotel's resources. There was a hotel restaurant but free breakfast is limited (parfait, fruit, muffin) not like other hotels in Marriott Bonvoy hotel chain offer. And overall this hotel is in a great location. Close to downtown Tempe as well as quick freeway access. Location is the only redeeming quality. The location is ideal, with a CVS right next door for any quick needs, and it's incredibly easy to catch an Uber, Lyft, or even a Waymo to explore different areas around the city.

The fourth floor looks terrible -- there are empty, broken-down rooms and the hallways feel neglected. The carpet on both the fourth floor and first floor is in very bad shape and looks like it hasn't been maintained in a long time. Inside the rooms, the flooring is actually popping up in areas, which makes the whole place feel worn out and poorly maintained. Overall, the hotel just looks very old and neglected now. The elevators are another concern. They make loud noises and honestly sound like they could break at any moment. There is also an unpleasant smell in parts of the building. When you get off the elevator and walk toward the lobby, you can see construction going on, which only adds to the messy and rundown feeling of the property. This place used to be a great stay when we first came here, but now it's honestly pretty shameful to see how much it has deteriorated. The location and concept are great, but the hotel clearly needs serious maintenance and attention.
