The Porch is a great sports bar with the ambiance of a backyard. It has a little something for everyone with a wide array of food and drink options and the prices are pretty affordable. They do trivia nights a few times a week that are well run and fun to be part of. I was pleased with the options for local draft beer! I've been a few times and tried a couple different dishes. The chicken quesadilla and the sides with it were good but nothing special. On Tuesdays they have a $10 chicken tinga tacos deal and those were actually great! I came to The Porch to meet some girl friends for happy hour. I love that they have plenty of outdoor seating and even some fun seating options with swings and life size games. We didn't have a res but we're still able to easily snag a table . Stopped in for early dinner. We were seated immediately and was told our server would start her shift in about 15 mins, in the meantime we received water. I thought that to be awkward and felt we could've been seated in a different area. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat, lots of TVs, great lighting and activities for the kiddies outside. There a huge red chair out front that would be good for photo opportunities. Food was just okay, nothing spectacular. I ordered lemon pepper bone in wings that were good, and a side of salt & pepper fries. I didn't care for them since they are the ones with the extra coating on them to crisp them up. I prefer just a regular uncoated fry. Wings were average in size. Other guest, ordered chicken tenders with mango habanero sauce. They looked overly fried (dark brown) and he said the sauce tasted mostly like mango with a tad of habanero spice. I was torn between 5 and 4-stars. This is a great spot for kids. Giant connect 4, giant swings and giant chairs within the enclosed space so your kids enjoy a playful ambiance while you enjoy your food and maybe drank! Stopped in for dinner before going to a show at Gammage with the family and some friends. I really liked that I could make a reservation which saved us a lot of time. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive which was good. The food was good and the drinks were on point. We lucked out and ended up being there during Happy Hour so that was a plus. The vibes are definitely fun and dinner-esq. We ordered a Big Trouble over Little China drink, fried pickles, and mash cheeseburger with truffle fries, the Hawaiian chicken sandwich, grilled cheese and the macaroni and cheese. Food 3 stars - I ordered the Reuben with truffle fries. The Reuben was fine. It could have used more kraut, but it was okay. The truffle fries really lacked flavor. I had to add salt, which is never a good sign for a truffle fry order. I ate a few, had my gfs try em, and the majority went uneaten. My gfs got chicken, and they were fine, too. Salt was needed on one of their entrees, but it's on the table. It was fine. I would give the food another chance because it's so close to work. If I ordered the Reuben I'd order extra kraut. What a cute spot, and a good outdoor place for kids! The covered patio had Jenga, connect four, and cornhole for our kids to stay entertained (8 and 5). They barely sat at the table which was amazing so we could chat with our friends that we were meeting for dinner. I had the blueberry mule since it was on special -- delicious! The mozzarella sticks are amazing, probably some of the best I've had with a light breading and cooked perfectly. For dinner, I had the best chicken tenders -- they were really juicy and tender, and quite deceiving as the outside looked a little overcooked, but they weren't! My husband had the chicken sandwich and said it was really good. Our kids had the cheeseburger sliders and grilled cheese. Neither complained and they ate fine, so all was well service was great, and we experienced a shift change without a drop in service. read more

Andy our server was great highly motivated and ready to offer suggestions of both menus. Food is tasty I wouldn't say it's exceptional but it hits the spot. The shrimp tastes farm raised it's a small count. The fresh avocado makes up for it. Needs some spice to spruce it up. The quesadilla shines with the "pace picante" style salsa and something of a sour cream mix. It was good. Again this place is all vibes and great for a cocktail. They close early, 10pm during the week. I don't know what That's about. They should cater to late night drinking crowd. Maybe midnights might be more optimal. Just my opinion. Had a great time. I checked out The Porch in Tempe with a big group for lunch on a Friday. I'm talking 30 people or so. We sat at two hightop tables and a booth in the bar area. Parking is easy in their complimentary lot, even when it's busy. They share the space with several other businesses including a movie theater. Service (4.5/5): Taking care of a large group, especially one that is drinking adult beverages, is no easy task. Our waitress did a fantastic job. She was attentive, friendly, and offered recommendations. She forgot about one of my drink orders, but totally understandable as she was serving 30 of us at once. Ambiance (4/5): My kind of spot. Casual, comfy, clean, and spacious. Tables, booths, high tops, and seating at the bar. The type of watering hole where you can kick back, enjoy some drinks, while also having solid food for more of a bar-focused restaurant. Drinks (5/5): I was impressed. They have an extensive cocktail list, including group drinks. Plus a full bar so beer, wine, and liquor. Here's what takes things up a notch at The Porch. And it's a couple of things. First, there's creativity with their cocktail list. I had the 3rd Day at Coachella, which is as wild as it sounds. Brightly colored with glitter on the rim. For an extra $3, you can add a flower, which makes your entire mouth numb for around 10 minutes. I've only seen this in Vegas. Fun fact: this same flower was used by dentists back in the day, before they had anaesthesia. I also had a large beer; they have one that they make in-house. For an extra charge, you can add a margarita shot. My type of place. While I didn't order a group drink, they definitely caught my eye. They have a teapot of eight orange tea shots. If you've never had an orange tea shot with orange Jameson, you can thank me later. They don't have this liquor at a lot of places, so when you see it, jump on it. They also have Patron margarita trees served in mini Patron bottles. Plus, happy hour and daily specials. Need I say more? Food (4/5): Elevated bar food, to put it simply. They have a large menu of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, entrees, desserts, etc. And the presentation for a lot of the dishes is going to exceed your expectations. I had one of their most popular dishes, the lanai chicken sandwich. You can order it crispy or grilled. I went with grilled. Think of it as an Asian-inspired chicken sandwich. It comes with lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, pineapple, and their homemade sauce. And with a side. I did the sweet potato fries. Solid meal. I never say no to pineapple. Yes, I'm one of those people. And you should be, too. The lanai chicken sandwich isn't to be missed. The Porch also has two other locations: one in Gilbert and one in Arcadia. It was very welcoming nice the patio area was shaded with games in a certain area and also TVs all over so you could watch the games. Our waitress we had she was amazing. She's from our family's hometown Detroit so we loved her energy and she was prompt with our orders as well. Our family ordered mimosas donut, holes burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, avocado, toast, breakfast sliders, fries and more. The breakfast sliders definitely needed more meat. It said it comes with sausage and bacon, but there was barely any sausage on the sliders. I opted out for fries instead of breakfast potatoes since they don't come out super crispy the burgers and the chicken sandwiches looked better than what I ordered and the chicken wings were OK. They needed more seasoning and flavor in our opinion. The prices for the entrées range anywhere from $13 and up, depending on what you order. Originally they told us a party that big had to sit outside, but with it being 50 degrees, that wasn't going to work so they allowed us to occupy two 6 seater bar tops and add 2 seats. We couldn't push them together, but that's okay. The waitress was nice and personable. The food for all 14 of us came at the same time and was correct. I ordered a burger and truffle fries. I forgot the name but it had portobello mushrooms and havarti cheese. It was well seasoned, the brioche bun was delicious as well. The truffle fries were overly seasoned for me. The day we visited here was the day of Pat's Run in Tempe. After running 4.2 miles we decided that we needed to reload some carbs do a burger and a drink or two was in order. As we walked in we were greeted almost instantly but we chose a spot at the bar. The bartender was on top of it and got our waters while we looked at the bar and food menus. Drinks ordered and food came out fairly quickly. While we waited we talked about the run and watched some of the many tvs that adorned the bar area. I have been to Porch several times. Never blown out of the water but they have diverse food menu. Previously I have enjoyed their happy hour with friends. My first experience was decent. Food was good. My second experience for happy hour was also enjoyable. We were happy with the drink and good specials and enjoyed the patio. My last experience was mixed. My husband's sandwich was really good quality. The hot sauce on the Nashville Chicken Sandwich was good. What went wrong is the poorly written cocktail menu. I got a porcharita which is their take on a margarita. They are advertised as $14. There is a notation that $2 for a floater. There is no notation that a flavor for the porcharita is an additional $2. I ended up being charged $18 for a premade drink with a ton of syrup. I addressed the with the server who agreed the menu was confusing but the manager did not adjust my bill. Overall an average place with a cool patio but poor customer service will keep me from returning. Fix the menu or don't charge people $2 for a flavor. $16 frozen premade margarita is a ridiculous price is pay. Not to mention the margarita was weak. read more

I got the avocado toast and my boyfriend got the "Big Ass Bowl of Pork Stew". The description of the avocado toast is beautiful- "Rustic country toast... micro greens... avocado... You get the idea. It literally came and looked like wonder bread with a smear of avocado. I was told the Big Ass Bowl of Pork Stew was off as well. I've had this before with the 50/50 white and black rice, it's slightly spicy, and flavorful, don't forget to squeeze the lime on top, definitely adds that pop of freshness. The menu here has something for everyone from burgers to salads, happy hour drinks, there's a special of the day and lots of drink options & specials. If you come for a weekday lunch they will be busy and you might not get out in an hour. This is a pretty cool spot!! We were in the area and decided to check it out...not knowing a UCF fight was happening. The inside and outside seating areas have plenty of seating options. There's a great vibe here with good music playing in the background. This is a great place to catch any sports event with some friends...TV's everywhere! The outside has a fire pit (super cozy) and heating towers as well for those 3 days of winter AZ gets :) Service a bit slow, but that was to be expected considering the fight (the place was packed). This place is absolutely dreadful. I can't understand the positive reviews and have to question their legitimacy. We arrived on a Friday night (11/8/25) about 5pm. The place was maybe at 50% capacity. Lots of empty tables and no one else out front or next to the host stand. The wait was still 20 minutes to be sat. We only had an hour for dinner, so I asked if the kitchen was fast. The host said it was still early so things were coming out pretty quick. So we waited. A little over 20 minutes later we were seated. It took the server nearly 10 minutes to stop by the table for the first time. At that point we started to get nervous. We mentioned to her that we only had about 25-30 minutes and asked if the kitchen was still getting food out fast. She said "yes," they were. So we placed our entire order, drinks and food at that point. 25 minutes later, I had to flag her down to ask if our food was coming. Not exhaggerating, 25 minutes from the time we placed the order and still no food. I told her we probably didn't have time to eat it. So she said, "I'll check, do you want me to bring the bill?" No appetizers, only a couple soft drinks, no food, 55+ minutes since we arrived, and she's asking if we want the bill. Are you kidding me?? No, we want our food, 10 minutes ago! A few minutes later, the server rushes out with all our food. The plates are hot, they've clearly been sitting in the expo window. Except, not everyone's food comes out. We're missing a panini. So we all get to sit with our plates in front of us for several more minutes while we wait for the rest of the food to come out. We ask the server to bring boxes, so we can take it all with us, which she does, and of course, she faithfully brings the bill for $120+ dollars. I was a bartender, so I still gave her 20% tip, but that is the worst service, and one the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a LONG time. Avoid this place. read more
