Driving on the 60, I saw a sign for Farmer Boys Burgers. I thought...oh that has to be a good juicy burger, right? Not exactly. It was an ok little place. They have a few specials, I think they were called bucket deals ( not positive on that though) comes with an entree, small fry and small drink. I got the 3 piece chicken fingers one, it was 9.99. The chicken fingers were tiny, they had a good flavor and the honey mustard was homemade and delicious. like you'd get in a kids meal. My husband had a double cheeseburger meal, it was big and he said it was good. The staff were polite and even came out and cleared our table. We recently went to Farmer Boys and it was very good. I like the healthy and fresh approach to the food and the quality was solid. I thought the serving sizes of the sides was a little small, but overall decent. I do have to call out the staff that were very polite and friendly. Lately with fast food, sometimes the employees can be a little cold and that was certainly not the case. The restaurant and tables were also very clean and everything was well stocked. Food - The chicken was super salty and dry. The batter was very salty. The chicken meat itself was really dry. I had trouble eating it. I had to drink a lot of pink lemonade from the soda machine. Atmosphere - No strange or strong odors or smells. No loud music playing when I visited. I liked that. I prefer no music over loud music. I don't like loud music. It's hard to hear with loud music. I did not visit the restroom. A good temperature inside. I have been to some places where it's been hot. It's better a little chilly than hot. It was not very busy inside. There were several tables with folk sitting at them. Service - There were about three to four employees. The service here was quick. Order and pay at the counter. Self seating. They bring the food out to you. Put tray and other items away at the bins. The staff was pleasant and nice and very informative. Parking - Surface parking lot. No parking meter or parking structures. Other - I wish they had napkins at the soda machine or at the front. It would be good if they had napkin dispensers at the tables. They just had a few napkins on the sides of the ketchup holder. However, a lot of the tables were missing napkins because they had run out at the tables. Did not see a health rating on Yelp. Seemed clean and organized when I visited. read more

Great quality food, amazing customer service, spacious dining room and a convenient drive thru. This casual vibe restaurant has really set the bar high in fast, quality food. Everything is made from scratch. Patties are never frozen. Eggs are cracked and made fresh. I mean, I enjoyed everything that I tried here. So much so that I cannot wait to come back for another experience. I really hope they look at bringing a location to the Scottsdale area. If you haven't been, I highly suggest that you add this one to your list and definitely give it a try. You really can't go wrong. What pleasant surprise. Fresh , hot, excellent quality in food and service. A real coffee cup, eggs and pancakes prepared by someone who knows their way around a kitchen. Service staff came around with a refill of coffee that was a great surprise. Really tasty coffee. This is my new go to for food. I can't wait to try rest of menu. And the menu.. great variety. My husband and I go here for breakfast. It's a fast food restaurant that feels like a sit down restaurant. After you order the server brings out your food, silverware and napkins. They check back a couple times to make sure you have everything you need. Food is good. Would recommend! read more

Came here for a quick lunch with my son. This is one of those fast casual places where you order at the counter and they bring your food to your table on real dishes. It feels way more fast foody so it feels a little weird when they do bring the food on real dishes. They serve a real breakfast with eggs and potatoes and toast as well as breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches. They also have burgers and fries, salads, and fish and chips. We have had several of the items off the menu before - - The fish and chips, the burgers, and the breakfasts. All have been really delicious. The one thing that I would say that I don't love about this place is the prices. We noticed that one of the breakfasts that we had previously bought stay the same price, but now the potatoes are missing. And to upgrade your hamburger to a value meal it is $6. While I won't complain about the prices of the burgers and salad, to me, $6 seems high to add a soda and some fries. Also, every time I see their mascot, I'm a little creeped out. read more

The burgers are good. The double 1/4 lbs stayed together with its delicious toppings. However, The 1/2 lbs burger was very, very messy. It was smashed so much that it was spread completely all outside of the bun. The toppings slide right off. There wasn't enough sauce on it. The service was very slow. The ambiance is up beat. And focused on the younger, college & teen market. The last time I ordered here I got the chicken sandwich. I can't remember complaining about it. So I will go back to this place. Try new things. For me, what separates this burger from the rest is the char on the entire patty. It tastes like it came straight off a charcoal grill- I was happily surprised. I would have enjoyed the sauce a bit more if it had a bit more seasoning, to better compliment the patty. Toppings were fresh! Bun was soft and didn't get soggy. left with a satisfied stomach! We were lucky to be in the area while they had a big box special. It was a Great price for the meal, four of us ate for $40! I had a cheeseburger and it was really good! So I have no issues with that on my review. Good solid burger. However.... The part I am dissatisfied with is the onion rings! I finally made my way over today -- only because I missed the breakfast cut-off at Salad & Go. ...I'll make sure that never happens again. If you're wondering what $35.68 buys you here, the answer is: two average breakfast burritos, a small iced coffee, and a fresh dose of regret. I ordered two burritos, added avocado, kept the cheese (though you'd need a magnifying glass to locate it), and asked for pico on the side. They even repeated the order back confidently... and still forgot the pico entirely. Then came the avocado comedy show. They asked, "Mashed or sliced?" I said sliced. Naturally, they added mashed -- and somehow still managed to give me the tiniest smear imaginable despite the $5.98 avocado upcharge. I paid extra for avocado and got a microscopic suggestion of it. Taste-wise? Fine. Edible. But absolutely nothing special -- especially not at $11.39 per burrito, plus overpriced avocado. Meanwhile, Salad & Go gives you a bigger, cleaner ingredient, better breakfast burrito (served until 10:30 AM on weekdays and 11:00 AM on weekends) for a fraction of the cost. Overall, 2 stars because the food wasn't awful -- just spectacularly "mediocre" and wayyy overpriced. Curiosity satisfied. Won't make that mistake twice. They have drive-through, and tons of easy parking. When in the area, I prefer to get my salad from here. The Cobb is my favorite, however, I do ask for no chicken and extra egg. They don't subtract the price for removing the chicken but they make sure to charge for the extra egg. So my salad comes out to $20. Yes, a $20 salad. Not complaining cause I could have gone elsewhere, but come on now. This specific visit, my husband got the bbq burger box. $15 give or take. I get it, the burgers are delicious. But please Famers. The place was clean and the service prompt, though I wish the menu was posted closer to where you order. The meal was brought to the table in short order (only three tables were occupied at the time). I had the three-egg breakfast which came with two large sausage patties and a generous portion of hash browns. Larger portions than I get from Waffle House for the same price. I gave Farm Boys four stars for being a fast-food restaurant -- but definitely a fresher twist on it! They offer a lot more options than your typical fast-food place. I got the BLT with avocado, and everything tasted super fresh -- crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and perfectly ripe avocado. They also have salads, fish, burgers, chicken, shakes, and plenty more on the menu. Just keep in mind it's still fast food, but they do have a drive-through and it's a great choice when you want something quick and fresh. read more

My brother and I were hungry for breakfast after an 8 AM doctors appointment. Usually, we go to Cracker Barrel, one of our faves. Today however, we decided we would try Farmer Boys, located only a couple of blocks farther south. My first impression was good. The store was very clean. However, I'm not a fan of ordering my meal at a counter, like it is a fast food restaurant. I much prefer being able to sit down and peruse the menu, then telling my order to a waiter. I know that prices everywhere are high. But, I would place Farmer Boys in this high priced group. Example: $3.50 for a small cup of coffee. I really like that they serve breakfast on a real ceramic plate and you get metal silverware. For some reason, the coffee mugs were very small. I was surprised by the hearty portions of food we received. Half the plate was covered with hash browns. The breakfast sausages were large and tasty. My eggs, unfortunately, were not perfect. They were slightly overcooked and burnt around the edges. My overall opinion is that this place serves a decent breakfast but I do prefer the hominess and waiter service at Cracker Barrel. read more
