The wife and I have been coming here for a couple years. We have NEVER been disappointed. The wife usually gets the Philly cheese steak with mushrooms and extra cheese. I always switch off. Sometimes I get the Capistrami, sometimes the Philly but my favorite is the Bobby. I like it heated not cold. Last time we were in, we met Rikki. Super nice and friendly. He informed us that there are two new sandwiches coming soon. One is an Italian beef! I cannot wait for that. If it's like the others, I'm sure it will be great. I should have known from the 3 star average rating to just try something else. I had a craving for a sandwich and wanted to try something new so I landed on Capriotti's. I went to place my order online, saw that if I signed up for rewards, I'd get $2 off my order, thought great and signed up! Only to wait almost 10 minutes before submitting my order to see if the coupon code would come through, it took a while and I just placed my order without it. Not two minutes after I made my order I get a message stating the order is cancelled because they couldn't fulfill it. No other context. Maybe it was the timing? Maybe they were out of ingredients? Who knows, but not me! So I just moved on and got a sandwich elsewhere. I gave 2 stars as the menu does look good and there's a handful of 5 star reviews that lead me to believe they could be good, but only time will tell if I dare to try again. read more

Tried this for the first time today and had to throw my sandwhoch away after 2 bites. I got the chicken cheesesteak with extra cheese - it tasted like burnt plastic, either that or like the meat was going bad and also not only did I get charged for extra cheese, there was no cheese at all. I've never felt the need to write bad reviews but something was seriously off. Not to mention, I ordered 2 sides of fries - both cups contained two totally different styles of fries? I'm confused. I also ordered a large soda which was not filled all the way, what a ripoff honestly. So disappointed as I drove over 24 miles after craving The Bobbie. The cashier was nice and promptly took my order. The inside was very clean. I ordered The Bobbie and it was by far one of the worst sandwiches I've ever eaten. The bread was days old and very crusty / crumbly. The stuffing was old and dry. There was so much mayo at the bottom of the bread it was inedible. The only good thing about the sandwich was the cranberry sauce. Needless to say, I trashed it and won't be going back. I will start by saying that I love Capriotti's. The Capistrami is my all time favorite sandwich from anywhere. With that said, my experience here was not at all great. I ordered a large Capistrami. After tax and tip, the one sandwich walked out the door at over $26.00. The bread was dry, crumbly, and stale tasting. The meat was sparse and overcooked, and there was almost no sauce on the thing. The slaw was plentiful as I asked for extra on the side, but it lacked the flavor that I was expecting from Capriotti's slaw. The staff was quite friendly and the place was clean. I took the sandwich to go and did not realize the low quality until I had it later, otherwise, I would have brought my issues up to the staff and asked for a replacement straight away. I may try this location again, but likely will go to another in the area and see if the quality issue is localized and not an overall change in the brand. read more

Went to Capriati's on Friday. It takes 1 hour from where I live in very West Valley, so going for a sandwich you want makes you feel hungrier. When I got there the woman who took my order also made my sandwich. I asked for peppers on the side since they make the sandwich very w et after sitting for over an hour. I get home and NO Peppers anywhere. After spending $52 for 2 sandwichs, you would think the peppers would be included somewhere, especially by the same person who took order. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! My sister placed an order around 7:00am. She specified to have the order ready for pick up at 3:00pm. She ordered 2 large (18") subs. 1 was the cheesesteak and 1 was the turkey. She requested the 2 subs be cut into fourths and requested pickles on the side. I went and picked up the 2 subs at 3:00pm, returned home and at 7:00pm we had a friend over to treat him to Capriotti's excellent subs. To our disappointment both subs were cut in 2 (not fourths) and the pickles (4) were not in the side but in the turkey sub. Our guest did not like pickles of any kind so needless to say he could only eat the cheesesteak. The cheesesteak had so much black pepper that at 8:42 this evening my mouth is still on fire. This location used to be excellent as far as the quality of food. Please do not reply with your canned apology. Obviously the change in ownership has severely impacted this location and has ruined our opinion of Capriotti's. There are so many more establishments offering great cheesesteak subs and employees that actually read the orders placed and don't cake the black pepper that masks the flavor of the meat and cheese. Maybe the new owners have ordered cheaper cuts of meat and mask the flavor so patrons can't distinguish the inferior meat. If you read this before deciding to eat there take heed you probably will be disappointed. read more

Had lunch here today, Tuesday, at 12:16. There were two occupied tables in the entire place. I ordered the Small Grilled Italian sandwich for $11.79 total. Nicole was pleasant and polite. The place was very clean. Now, the sandwich. It is definitely the worst sub-style sandwich I have ever had. Yes, ever, and I'm in my 60's. It was so bad, I took a couple of pics. It had hardly any meat or lettuce. The bread was nicely toasted though. It was grilled but there was maybe one slice of onion that was grilled. There was NO flavor to it. There were no condiments on it, except, I think, butter on the bread. No mustard, no mayo, no oil/vinegar. I've eaten at the three major sandwich shops and all are three times better.
