The wife and I have been coming here for a couple years. We have NEVER been disappointed. The wife usually gets the Philly cheese steak with mushrooms and extra cheese. I always switch off. Sometimes I get the Capistrami, sometimes the Philly but my favorite is the Bobby. I like it heated not cold. Last time we were in, we met Rikki. Super nice and friendly. He informed us that there are two new sandwiches coming soon. One is an Italian beef! I cannot wait for that. If it's like the others, I'm sure it will be great. Thank you Rikki and thank you Capriotti's for always delivering the best sandwiches! read more

I should have known from the 3 star average rating to just try something else. I had a craving for a sandwich and wanted to try something new so I landed on Capriotti's. I went to place my order online, saw that if I signed up for rewards, I'd get $2 off my order, thought great and signed up! Only to wait almost 10 minutes before submitting my order to see if the coupon code would come through, it took a while and I just placed my order without it. Not two minutes after I made my order I get a message stating the order is cancelled because they couldn't fulfill it. No other context. Maybe it was the timing? Maybe they were out of ingredients? Who knows, but not me! So I just moved on and got a sandwich elsewhere. I gave 2 stars as the menu does look good and there's a handful of 5 star reviews that lead me to believe they could be good, but only time will tell if I dare to try again. read more

Snagged some sandwiches after a day of Cactus League baseball Really good sandwiches here and their super fresh bread is the reason They do an Italian sandwich right! Highly recommended read more

The sandwiches here are AMAZING! The bread is soft, but toasted to perfection. The ratio of items on the sandwich couldn't be better! Only downside from today was I had signed up for the rewards program but it wasn't showing up in their system so I didn't get my $2 off. Didn't stop me from enjoying my delicious meal! read more

A salad was calling to me so I decided to stop in for a bite while out & about. I was waited on right away...talk about quick service...& chose the Balsamic Chicken...small. Perfect portion size for me...& got a Diet Pepsi to wash it down with. This salad consists of Spring Mix lettuce, gorgonzola crumbles, finely chopped chicken pieces, caramelized pecans, & delicious Balsamic dressing. This salad is delicious & just the perfect combination of ingredients. The ambiance is mellow with music playing as you dine. There is even an awesome jukebox you see while you are ordering! It's a record player as well so that is really cool! Leave it to the music freak in me to spot it first thing as I came in the door They offer four sizes of sandwiches if you're in the sandwich mood on your visit, a variety of salads, chips, & even desserts to enjoy. My next visit will be for a sandwich. read more

We have tried 2 sandwiches so far and they are very delicious. They are a little expensive, but if you like thanksgiving you need to try the Bobbie. It's really good and I'm looking forward to getting it again soon. Service is excellent, and this location has plenty of room to sit. read more

Tried this for the first time today and had to throw my sandwhoch away after 2 bites. I got the chicken cheesesteak with extra cheese - it tasted like burnt plastic, either that or like the meat was going bad and also not only did I get charged for extra cheese, there was no cheese at all. I've never felt the need to write bad reviews but something was seriously off. Not to mention, I ordered 2 sides of fries - both cups contained two totally different styles of fries? I'm confused. I also ordered a large soda which was not filled all the way, what a ripoff honestly. An absolute mess of an order and just seems like the people who work there aren't giving a crap about people's food. Granted this was a DoorDash order so I mean the drink thing is whatever but the quality of this food was awful. read more

My husband and I have been searching for a good cheesesteak. Our search continues. We ordered the classic cheesesteak. The sandwich was pretty tasteless. We were both disappointed. With the high prices at restaurants now it's getting to the point where the food ordered is just not worth the money. This place isn't worth the money. read more

These people that work here give absolutely no F's about your order. Two times in a row I ordered a sandwich with no mayo (clearly says no mayo on receipt) and two times in a row they send with mayo. Love the Bobbie! My favorite sandwich, always made well. Prompt service and always friendly.

My pick-up order lacked the side order of gravy, but the food was great. Clearly the staff didn't deserve the benefit of the doubt or a tip with this on-line order. I'll do better when ordering next time by offering a cash gratuity after the order is scrutinized. Thanks. They were busy. read more

My boyfriend and I came in for a sandwich after a stressful day. Ricky immediately greeted us with a smile when we walked in and was so kind and helpful when we ordered. He continued to check on us and asked to take our trash when we were done. We got the Bobby, which is my favorite thing to order here! We felt so much better after we left. It's great to see people like Ricky who take pride in helping customers and leaving a good impression- thank you! read more

Just there last night ordering steak sandwiches to go and when I got home, I couldn't believe that most of my sandwich was bread. I think they forgot to put meat on it. Don't know if I'll be returning because what you pay for a sandwich there you should at least have enough meat on it to taste it. read more

So disappointed as I drove over 24 miles after craving The Bobbie. The cashier was nice and promptly took my order. The inside was very clean. I ordered The Bobbie and it was by far one of the worst sandwiches I've ever eaten. The bread was days old and very crusty / crumbly. The stuffing was old and dry. There was so much mayo at the bottom of the bread it was inedible. The only good thing about the sandwich was the cranberry sauce. Needless to say, I trashed it and won't be going back. Too far of a drive to be disappointed. read more

This is absolutely ridiculous. I showed up 25 minutes before they closed and they're completely out of chicken. I asked the guy what else they had. He said everything else I said what specifically he said everything else I said, sir can you tell me what meats you have because I only get chicken here and he said everything on the menu he gave me an attitude. He was like 5 foot three with a beard said he was a manager bad attitude. I told him that he should be able to discount another option due to their mistake And he was just a complete asshole. No let me help you out. Let me hook you up. No nothing for their own shitty situation. I highly advise. Never going to this Capriotti's Again read more

Went in for lunch and ordered an 8" Capistrami. It was served on a fresh soft sub roll. It had a generous portion of hot pastrami with their Cole slaw and thousand island dressing. I would order this again. read more

I will start by saying that I love Capriotti's. The Capistrami is my all time favorite sandwich from anywhere. With that said, my experience here was not at all great. I ordered a large Capistrami. After tax and tip, the one sandwich walked out the door at over $26.00. The bread was dry, crumbly, and stale tasting. The meat was sparse and overcooked, and there was almost no sauce on the thing. The slaw was plentiful as I asked for extra on the side, but it lacked the flavor that I was expecting from Capriotti's slaw. The staff was quite friendly and the place was clean. I took the sandwich to go and did not realize the low quality until I had it later, otherwise, I would have brought my issues up to the staff and asked for a replacement straight away. I may try this location again, but likely will go to another in the area and see if the quality issue is localized and not an overall change in the brand. read more

The most disgusting cheesesteak in the world. The people who work here are miserable and seem to want to share their unhappiness with others by making dangerous and irresponsible choices as far as food safety. It seems they pick and choose who they give decent food too and it's my belief that they give old food and perhaps expired food to minorities based on the pattern I see in their reviews. The manager stands by the bad and unsafe food , this place needs to be shut down. read more

Absolutely fantastic sandwiches. Love this place. Highly recommend. Homemade turkey and Cole turkey are great

Went to Capriati's on Friday. It takes 1 hour from where I live in very West Valley, so going for a sandwich you want makes you feel hungrier. When I got there the woman who took my order also made my sandwich. I asked for peppers on the side since they make the sandwich very w et after sitting for over an hour. I get home and NO Peppers anywhere. After spending $52 for 2 sandwichs, you would think the peppers would be included somewhere, especially by the same person who took order. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! I guess I will have to try another Caps because no consistency from Baseline or Old Town Scottsdale. Very upset. read more

I usually order through Postmates and the sandwich is always fresh and the food is delivered so quickly. Love this place!!

Pastrami sandwich was delicious. Looking forward to going back and eating the same thing. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely.

First and last time. Any comparison to an "Italian" sandwich is an exaggeration. Overprised and tasteless.

Had lunch here today, Tuesday, at 12:16. There were two occupied tables in the entire place. I ordered the Small Grilled Italian sandwich for $11.79 total. Nicole was pleasant and polite. The place was very clean. Now, the sandwich. It is definitely the worst sub-style sandwich I have ever had. Yes, ever, and I'm in my 60's. It was so bad, I took a couple of pics. It had hardly any meat or lettuce. The bread was nicely toasted though. It was grilled but there was maybe one slice of onion that was grilled. There was NO flavor to it. There were no condiments on it, except, I think, butter on the bread. No mustard, no mayo, no oil/vinegar. I've eaten at the three major sandwich shops and all are three times better. I would never try this place again. Thank you for your time. read more

My sister placed an order around 7:00am. She specified to have the order ready for pick up at 3:00pm. She ordered 2 large (18") subs. 1 was the cheesesteak and 1 was the turkey. She requested the 2 subs be cut into fourths and requested pickles on the side. I went and picked up the 2 subs at 3:00pm, returned home and at 7:00pm we had a friend over to treat him to Capriotti's excellent subs. To our disappointment both subs were cut in 2 (not fourths) and the pickles (4) were not in the side but in the turkey sub. Our guest did not like pickles of any kind so needless to say he could only eat the cheesesteak. The cheesesteak had so much black pepper that at 8:42 this evening my mouth is still on fire. This location used to be excellent as far as the quality of food. Please do not reply with your canned apology. Obviously the change in ownership has severely impacted this location and has ruined our opinion of Capriotti's. There are so many more establishments offering great cheesesteak subs and employees that actually read the orders placed and don't cake the black pepper that masks the flavor of the meat and cheese. Maybe the new owners have ordered cheaper cuts of meat and mask the flavor so patrons can't distinguish the inferior meat. If you read this before deciding to eat there take heed you probably will be disappointed. read more

We were in the area and decided to try this place for the first time. The subs are over priced. The buns are not tasty at all. It was all "meh"... edible, but soooo overpriced that we definitely won't be back. All the fountain drink options are with high fructose syrup -- no thanks!! Oh and the girl asked if I wanted to keep the menu, otherwise she could throw it away for me. I was confused and asked why she would throw it away... she said, "as a safety precaution.... Could have germs on it"... Ohhhh the fake v i r u s strikes again! When will people wake up from their trance. Keep cutting down trees for paper, and tossing masks all over the place, because the gov't told you to be scared of a murder v i r u s -- oh, and what happened to the murder hornets!?!? Lol The staff was polite. Plenty of parking in parking lot. Tons of from to sit down inside. It wasn't "terrible"... just not good enough to bother going back. I was craving a cheesesteak and Capriotti's is the only place I ever order a cheesesteak. They are all pretenders. However, I had not been in awhile. About 18 months ago. What a huge difference. I noticed it immediately. I drove over 10 miles to this location. The quality of the meat, the preparation of the meat, the way that they build the sandwich; all wrong. What happened? I'm was in absolute shock and disappointment. I seriously did not eat my $26 cheesesteak. Unacceptable. You won't have to twist my arm to make me stay away from Capriotti's. Wow. It's gone so way down. read more

Hands down worst sandwich and service ever. How can meat and cheese be screwed up? Also the cashier/sandwich maker was underwhelming and wasn't helpful one bit. As a first time guest, I was eager to try new things... the caveat is that I don't know what I don't know... so any add ons or mayo or mustard weren't offered, which I wanted. Aside from sub par service, subway would have been a better choice today and I haven't eaten there in 25 years. read more
