Turkey trouble
Brad W.

It's great that they slice the meat in front of you, but unfortunately the turkey is the see-through cheap ass, no flavor version of turkey. All the condiments and oul and vinegar style was good as was the Sourdough bread. If the meat is horrible, then nothing is good.

Quality has gone way down hill. Sad to learn they were bought out, it shows. Food too pricey to justify the low quality. Will never go back

The atmosphere is upbeat, bright, and welcoming with a really good energy whether you're stopping in for lunch, dinner, or meeting up with a larger group. The setup works especially well for groups since there's plenty of seating and the ordering process keeps things moving even when it's busy. One thing they do very well is efficiency without losing hospitality. They have both a dine-in ordering counter and a dedicated to-go counter, which seems necessary because this place stays packed. Even during busy times, the staff stays friendly, attentive, and organized. You can tell there's real attention paid to each order and that management understands how to run a smooth restaurant operation. The menu has a lot of solid choices whether you want something lighter, comforting, vegetarian, or protein-packed. Portions were satisfying, and the broccoli deserves its own mention -- somehow simple but absolutely addictive. My only real note is that pricing feels a little high for an order-at-the-counter style restaurant. That said, the quality, atmosphere, and overall experience do make it easier to justify once in a while.

I know my opinion is probably unpopular because it seems like everybody loves Flower Child, but it's not really my cup of tea. I fully understand, though, that that's just me. I do have some weird food issues. I will say this place is so bright and airy and just lovely. I love the paned windows that look out onto the patio, the very high ceilings, and the brown rattan lighting fixtures. Even though the space is quite large, it's extremely inviting. That said, it's a great place for something healthy. I feel like you can't go wrong with any of the choices if you're trying to eat well. My friends lunch looked much better than what I had. I had the Flying Avocado Wrap, and I didn't love it. In fact I didn't finish even half of it - - I took it home and my son ate it. I think it's the bread I don't like, and anyone who knows me knows I can be really picky. Will I come back? Probably. When I have lunch with somebody else who wants to come here, I won't have a problem with it. I would really like to try the forbidden Rice that my friend had. But I'm not likely to ever swing by here on my own.

One giveaway is the way they prepare their lamb. Tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked to the value given in the order. For those who don't like lamb, you're really missing out but that should not stop you because all their proteins are equally as wonderful! The salad is exceptional and loaded with feta. The lemon potatoes are terrific as is the rice pudding. I would love to see them start selling HALVAH because there just isn't enough of it in Arizona! The only things that are so-so about the place have nothing to do with the food. The parking is less than desirable as are the comfort of their chairs but as long as they keep up this quality of the meal, I will definitely keep coming back and bring special guests when I do. There is a parking lot and indoor/outdoor seating. I love the decor and ambiance of this place, especially the lighting in the dining room. They have a separate area with a small shop and cafe with desserts and some grab and go items. I will be back to try a coffee! My friend and I came here for the pre-set restaurant week menu. I made a reservation the night before, but it wasn't too busy while we were there on a Tuesday at 530pm. Our server Allison was great and very attentive. For appetizers we tried the whipped goat cheese spread and wagyu meatballs. I thought the goat cheese spread was delicious! For entrees we choose the pasta pomodoro and the farmers market pizza which were both very tasty. The pizza had so much flavor l, especially the crust, and the texture of the pasta was perfect!! For dessert we tried the affogato and apricot cheesecake. Oh My Gosh that cheesecake was the BEST dessert I've had in a while!!!! You have to try it and I can't recommend it enough!!!! I can't wait to come back!!

When I arrived and spoke with spouse he had already been waiting 20+ minutes. When I checked in with hostess to see if there had been any changes I was promptly schooled that "he was told "XYZ" and there's one table ahead of us still... I disregarded that vibe, figured because it was "busy" or because it was "Saturday evening" and everywhere is busy... I felt the senior hostess was curt when I inquired about the status of our wait, so I tried to brush it off. Just inefficient all the way around. From seating and neglecting to ask about seating preference (could there have been a shorter wait?), initial greeting by server, or was it a bus boy?, beverage order and wait for food. Couldn't even get a full glass of water poured or full carafe brought to the table while we waited for service. It was all very disappointing and I feel completely led astray by the ratings and reviews. I truly can not believe we waited 1 1/2 hrs just to be seated so we could eat pizza. Oh, but wait! It's pizza on 130 year old sourdough yeast?! Whatever. The pizza was alright, but the entire experience certainly didn't improve the taste of the pizza. Tourist trap? Maybe. Trendy? Because it's located in downtown Chandler? And then there's the parking scenario. If you're staying at the San Marcos or the other hotel downtown, walking here will be quicker than trying to find a parking spot. Carpool would be my other suggestion because parking really is a premium. And I want to add, the hostess never came to let us know a table was ready. We were only offered a table when my son went in to check the status. Only then did he get asked if we would be open to outdoor seating. Maybe Brunch has something more to offer. IDK. But I'm certainly not inclined to recommend or dine here again.

You place your order and then you find your seat. Some of the tables were still dirty but we assumed it was bc of the lunch rush. We ended up clearing a table for ourselves and the workers came rushing by to help. I order the wild salmon salad. My friend ordered the falafel salad. And my other friend ordered the chicken caprese melt. My wild salmon salad: very very good. The cashews were a good touch. The salmon was very well cooked and chewy. It looks like it was more grounded into a patty instead of a nice filet. Good for a lunch salad. If I had it for dinner I think i would have wanted it to be more like a filet My friend loved her falafel salad. She kept mentioning how neat that most anything on the menu could be converted to veggie. And there were many many options for vegans. My other friend inhaled his chicken caprese melt. He loved it. Regardless, their food was very good. I customized a bowl with tofu, greens and sauce and it was tasty. The melts are also tasty. I enjoyed the cheese bread ball that came with the bowl and wished it came in a pair. Their superfood smoothies are yummy but also pricey. Most of their dishes are between $12 and 18 and portions are adequate. They also sell swag with their branding. The restaurant atmosphere feels a bit a posh/swanky, which isn't my usual go to. Atmosphere 5/5 Such a cool restaurant with allot of history dating back to 1935/1958/2008/2022 which reflects the years of the establishments service and architecture evolutions. Always a great vibe here! Service 10/5 Our experience tonight began with the beautiful and friendly hostess Bailey. She greeted us with a warm smile and asked us what our seating presence was. We grabbed a booth overlooking Page street and the foot traffic outside. Our server tonight was Treven who joined us table side. He had our drink and starters in quickly. My wife ordered the Lucky Penny Latte and I had iced tea. Starter was their out of this world Burrata. The photos fall short of its glory. Entrees was their memorable minestrone soup, and I ordered their sesame ginger noodle salad featuring sweet potato glass noodles which are delicious and a host of smartly paired vegetables, chicken and a pleasant ginger sriracha delivering some spice and heat without overpowering the dish itself. For desert we fell way off the wagon with their in-house carrot cake. A slice easily feeds four and we enjoyed ours with espressos. Dinner was excellent from the service to the scratch kitchen food, and expressos, Magnifico! $125.00 with tip and leftovers too. Date night my friends-SYOY!
