Paisley Park Pesto. Roast turkey, hickory smoked bacon, Swiss, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and Pesto Mayo on toasted sourdough.

Convenient location with easy access and ample parking. Menus are on a rack located near the entrance. Grab one of those as soon as you walk in and you can take a seat at a table or the counter. The owners are super nice and always welcoming when we come in. The menu offers numerous tasty options. And they'll modify the sandwiches to your preference too. And let me tell you, those sandwiches are huge. Loaded with meat, not a lot of fluff. The toppings are fresh. The bread is fresh. The balance between bread, meat, veggies, and dressings delivers some delicious bites. And they pack a lot of meat on each sandwich, often times leaving me with 1/2 of a sandwich to eat later. No complaints here. The restaurant is very relaxed and open. There are assorted tables along with stools lined up at the counter. Television above bar playing sports. I've never been here during the busiest time of day so generally it's not too loud and it's easy to hold a conversation with your party or the owners. If I had the choice, I would always eat my sandwiches the way they make them here. They're just so darn good. Oh, but I do think they need a PB&J, on raisin bread or Brioche, with cream cheese, or bananas or apples, and marshmallows, and maybe grilled... added to their menu. Or how about a grilled cheese? Guess I better order now.

Stopped by Retro Subs & Brews in Chandler and I had to try the Take On Me sandwich the name alone sold me. The sandwich was really well balanced. The Hawaiian rolls add a little sweetness that pairs nicely with the salty bacon and ham, and the turkey keeps it from feeling too heavy. Everything tasted fresh and the textures worked well together. At $17.50 it's not cheap, but the portion was solid and filling. Overall it was a really good sandwich. It's open seating, and when we went there was just one worker there with her mom helping out. She was super nice and even brought us water, which made the experience feel really welcoming.

Great sandwiches with generous portions! Great vibes and very creative menus. We had the New York New York!

Just excellent sandwiches! A true hole in the wall mom and pop spot. They're there 7 days a week! It does take some time to make your sandwich so make sure you have patience. But each one is carefully crafted and of the top ingredient quality.

Friendly relaxed vibe , nothing fancy, some 80s references. None of that matters. The sandwiches were soooo good. Tina Tuna packed with tuna. The NYNY which is the pastrami sandwich nothing like you would think of a NY pastrami sandwich but so much better, idk if it was the spicy mayo, it was amazing and packed with meat. They had about 4 beers on tap and plenty of options from the bar. Beer was very cold.

I was craving a good f*****g sandwich, one that isn't so crazy fancy but not something I could make at home, and I got it here. I drove 20 minutes to get here because the pictures just looked too good, and I'm glad it didn't disappoint. I got the "What a Girl Wants" sandwich (no sides) and it was so, so good. And hefty! The pics don't lie. These sandwiches are stacked. The menus look like vinyl records, which is so fun and different. The menu itself isn't very big, which is nice honestly. Keepin' it simple and interesting and tasty. Service was good. We were greeted and informed of where the menus were, but the two people working (presumably the owners, didn't ask) were busy crafting the sandwiches until they were able to get to a spot where they could ring us up. Which, as an ex-food service person, I ain't mad about that. They're busy. They care about the product they're putting out. I don't need (nor really want) small talk. But I did see one of the workers have a lovely interaction with another customer, which is always nice. There were a good amount of tables and chairs, if that's your thing. And even a small child-friendly area with kids cartoons on the tv and fun colored decor. I'm pretty sure this is a newer establishment, and I truly hope it lasts. I'm not gonna shut up about this place.

This place is definitely a bit of a hidden gem. The sandwiches are absolutely fantastic. The two people working (seemed like the owner and an employee) were kind and thoughtful and attentive. The atmosphere is interesting. While it's been open for a while, it still looked like they'd just opened. Hoping business picks up for a bit, as this is definitely a place worth returning to, and worth being busy!

I would love to give this place more love but unfortunately it is just an average sandwich shop. It's not bad but it doesn't do anything that really stands out. It doesn't have next level bread like Flancers down the street or even my favorite sandwich spot DeFalcos. The quality of the meat is fine and the atmosphere is great. I had the New York New York and the pastrami was tasty. They do not have fountain drinks but they have a selection of craft beers and cocktails. The staff was friendly but for me it isn't enough to put this place as one of my go to sandwich shops.

Everything about this place was great. Love the music theme and all the sandwiches are named accordingly. The one on the Hawaiian roll was phenomenal, and I subbed in the pesto mayo, excellent choice. The service was above and beyond, very helpful, courteous and friendly. Thank you for a great experience.

My husband wanted a pastrami sandwich, and boy was this a huge success! We have found ourselves a new sandwhich shop.

The name refers to U.S. Patent 139, granted to Rudolf Gustav Hass for the Hass avocado, and the establishment was founded by Tim Hass, the inventor's great grandson. The space was larger than expected and the brewing area is in the corner and the bar is in the centerpiece. We grabbed seats at the bar, but there are tables in and outside. Our bartender was very nice and she explained Patent 139 brews in small batches and features beer from local breweries. My husband ordered a Neon Blaster Blonde and buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower were tangy and spicy. Definitely a good choice to stop in when in Chandler.

This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

We walked in just before 430 and the place was packed. That was totally unexpected. Not sure if its always like that or if it was because of the NBA finals. There are large screen TVs everywhere and all playing some sport on it. There was music playing too. With all the people, TV's and music it was very loud to say the least. Our server was super attentive and nice. I ordered the southwest eggrolls that came with a ranch dipping sauce (it was not traditional ranch but I forget what our server called it). It was $5 for my order. These eggrolls were AH-MAZING! The ranch was amazing too! Our server said all their dressings and sauces are made in house which you can definitely taste. My order came with three eggrolls cut in half and I was full after 2. They were very flavorful and not spicy at all. I would order these again in a heartbeat. I tried a friends guacamole which was really good and also not spicy. I would love to see chips and queso on their menu. They had chips and salsa and chips and guacamole but no chips and queso. Also, and the only thing that bothered me is they don't print your check. They hand you their handheld POS device and stand there while you tip them. I don't know if the suggested tip includes tax or not because they don't print your check. I tip on the cost of the meal before tax but this process they have doesn't allow me to do that.
