Crackers & Co has been a favorite of mine for years! I've been to the now closed Tempe location numerous times. While the occasional trip to Mesa is fine, I would prefer one closer to Phoenix or Tempe. This location seems a bit odd from the outside. When approaching, it appears to be an office building. Once inside, the familiar C&C Co decor takes over and seems more like a restaurant. The service at this location is as fast and friendly as I remember at the Tempe location. The food is always great. I usually get the irresistible California Eggs Benedict, but opted for a different dish for a change. The Bregger's Omelette was very good and stuffed with fillings. I can never get enough of the Country Potatoes .... they're AMAZING! The White Toast was as expected. While I miss the Tempe location, this one was just as satisfying and plan to return soon. read more

Lesson learned. Don't leave a review before the health department comes. She said it smelled strongly of bleach and that the employees said there had been a "spill". She also said they looked totally freaked out when she came in and mentioned cats. She asked why customers heard meowing and that the employees working said "they like to make meowing sounds". Cat smell is obvious and so is the difference between real cat sounds and pretend ;) Just be glad there was a chance to clean everything beforehand! read more

I have been missing out! I don't know how many times I've driven by this place and never stopped. It's right behind the Home Depot on country club. I finally went today. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the hostess, and was sat down in a couple minutes. The place was abuzz with customers. Very welcoming with a country style setting. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. I ordered the California eggs Benedict. Bacon,spinach, avocado and two poached eggs. The hollandaise was tasty, thick and creamy. Came with a side of country fried potatoes. The only complaint I had was one of the eggs was a little over cooked. My stepson had the Valencia. Two fried eggs,over medium, bell peppers, onions and potatoes. Egg yolks were still runny and the whites fully cooked. He said it was very good. What a pleasant surprise! I've been to this location several times. Even though it's quite large, it feels very homey. They've got pretty floral murals on the wall and nice wooden furniture. Love the arches! We came right as it was about time but they'd start serving lunch. They're known for their breakfast and I've had breakfast here and it's been really good and really large. Today I've decided to go for lunch and ordered the avocado roast beef sandwich. I chose a tossed salad for my side with ranch dressing. Sandwich was fine - - nothing special, except I did love the grilled crispy bread. The salad was a standard salad that you might find in a bag. I did not like the ranch dressing and did not eat my salad. My friend got the Crackers Club with a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Both looked really good and he did say the sandwich was great but the soup was just okay. Our server was really nice. She was attentive and said it would be no problem for us to order lunch even though it was not quite time. I really liked her. All in all, my lunch experience here was okay. They are known for the breakfast and I think I will stick to breakfast next time I come. read more

I've been to Crackers and Co many times and everything I order is always on point. They are a breakfast lunch spot that serves excellent food. I recently got the Poblano Chicken Melt with a cup of tortilla soup. Such a well made melt that has a little heat and I even add more heat with their delicious hot sauces. Good sized sandwich and delicious. The soup was excellent too that had a little spice to it and included a little sour cream to add a little more creamy taste to the soup. Everything from breakfast to lunch here is always great. Can't go wrong with anything here and the service is always top notch. read more

I had a very frustrating experience. When I arrived, the hostess attempted to seat my party in the back room. I commented that I would prefer not to sit in the back room, not withstanding the fact that the table was too small to accommodate my party. In response, the hostess openly called me "entitled" simply for expressing a seating preference.I brought this completely unprofessional insult to the manager's attention. While the manager listened to my complaint, they took zero meaningful accountability and asked if there were any servers in there as witnesses They refused to comp the meal or offer any real compensation for the disrespectful treatment I received from their staff. First time at the Mesa location and I have to say...we think it's better than the one we've been to in Chandler. Met a big bunch of friends here for a recent after-the-holidays brunch and our group, which was eight people were accommodated with nothing but gracious people wanting to make our experience impeccable! Funny story...we didn't have a reservation and one friend showed up first and got a table and then the second friend showed up without seeing our first friend and they sat her at a big table towards the back, behind the pony wall. Once we all realized, we moved to the back table because it would be easier to hear everyone and if we got loud, we wouldn't bother anyone! Our server was fantastic and I'm realizing now that we don't remember his name. Our friend ended up paying for everyone's meal so don't have a receipt for reference but shout out to the tall young man with beautiful braids! He was so friendly and accommodating and light-hearted, we all loved him. When you are serving a big group, I know it can be a challenge with people's orders, making exceptions, etc. but he handled everything like the pro he is! I took pictures of some of the dishes ordered and everyone said their meals were "yummy", "so good", etc. I ordered my favorite, Eggs Benedict along with the country potatoes. I also changed up my eggs to over-medium because getting a perfect poached egg is challenging in restaurants! Everything was so good, English muffin toasted to perfection, grilled pieces of Canadian Bacon, perfectly good eggs and all covered with their hollandaise sauce. Let's talk about the sauce...it was good but I am a lemon person and didn't find this one very lemony. It was thick and creamy and covered with paprika. I ended up squeezing the lemon from my ice tea to add the savory punchy kick. Wife had the Mocha Latte, which was so crazy beautiful the way they present it. You could see the layering of the chocolate, the cream, the coffee and all topped with whipped cream. She loved it! She also had Lemon Blueberry Pancakes, which came with two big cakes, topped with a creamy lemon cream cheese icing and lots of blueberries. Came with a couple of crispy bacon strips and she also ordered over-medium eggs. She loves dessert for breakfast and between her latte and this dish, she was in sweet heaven! Others ordered lunch with the patty melt and the BLT and one ordered off the children's menu (French toast with eggs and bacon). And one friend had the Euro Crepe Breakfast, which was decadent. I had a small taste of the crepe and it was light and airy and really good. Overall a great meal for everyone and a great experience at this location. 4.5 stars tbh. Pammy, our server, was very good. She was friendly without being fake, and took good care of us. We had a New Hampton skillet, eggs over medium. It included crispy home fries, chunks of chicken, crispy bacon, broccoli and cheese. No, they don't offer any GF breads or pancakes, but Pammy did suggest fruit in place and it was a generous portion. The skillet was comfort food in a dish and I could tell myself it was healthy because it had broccoli, haha. We also ordered the Day Break, which came with two eggs, bacon or sausage, and four thick slices of cinnamon swirl French toast. Picky partner said the French toast (two full slices, four halves) was very good, which I took to mean it was sufficiently immersed in an egg/milk mixture to not be dry. It was my first time visiting the cafe. A few of my relatives also enjoyed brunch with me. I had the chicken bruschetta sandwich and it was excellent. The place was packed with people. A mix of young to elderly. So I must have ordered the wrong item on the menu. So this review is only for their Hamburger Sandwich made from Angus Beef! Highly recommended, displayed boldly on their menu! I was even asked how I wanted it done. I replied medium- medium rare! Ok, as soon as it was set down on our table I knew it was over well done! As I cut it in half, and took my first bite. This burger was not made to order, and was fried up a while ago and warmed up. Terrible to the kitchen chef today. Dry and hard. First time here. The ambiance of this place was amazingly positive. The decor was calming and tasteful. Definitely not what I thought it was going to be. Felt spacious yet cozy. Staff was appropriately friendly and personable. I was overwhelmed by the many, varied choices on the menu. Jim and I both agreed it would take a long time to try all the great sounding meals. I was torn between the New Princess omelet and the Avocado bacon egg melt. I had to stop reading the menu to keep from adding more dishes to compare. Chose the melt. Not sorry. It was amazing. Asked for the potatoes to be EXTRA crispy and they were! Good seasonings and flavors exceeded expectations. Jim had the pork carnitas Benedict no cheese. He felt meal was amazing too. Came here for the first time for an early lunch; the place was busy but we were sat right away. Very mom and pops, a bit outdated but who cares really? Service was prompt and friendly enough. Food came out quickly and everything was pretty good. Coffee was mediocre and the tortillas served with my meal were gross. Everything else was yummy. Running an errand on the east side of the valley, I thought we were going to a wrong address in an industrial area. But no, I should not have second guessed myself because there it was, this little cafe in the corner of a business complex. It wasn't so little though once inside. Great for big groups or small groups, this cafe boasts a unique setting for getting breakfast in its own humble way. Breakfast itself was really good! The portion sizes were hearty and each group of breakfast goers looked very pleased with their selections. There were several sky lights above that brightened up the inside of the cafe. It provided a sense of warmth as we sat and awaited our breakfast. I had trouble deciding which item to order but finally decided on the carnitas skillet. I really enjoyed it and as if I wasn't hungry enough I also ordered a cheese blintz side to serve as dessert. Sure this place wasn't as trendy as Scramble or Over Easy or any of those breakfast places but it does do traditional home food type breakfast well. Everyone is so friendly too. We stopped into Crackers & Co for brunch. We felt fortunate to sit down right away since the parking lot and restaurant were both pretty full. The service was friendly and efficient. Decided to stop in for lunch on Monday. -- Bird to the Wise sandwich and Chicken Tortilla Soup. OMG. It was so good we ordered lunch there 6 days straight . 1/2 sandwiches and soup or fruit most days. Fruit was PERFECT. Loaded Pitato Soup off the charts. I had no idea that this establishment was here! I've never been back in this area. My GPS directed me straight to the front door which was the first. I met up with a group and glad that I was invited and was able to attend. The staff were nice and the food was excellent as well as, they really do give you great portions of food. Everyone seemed to enjoy the dishes in which, they ordered. I didn't know what to expect so I got a Belgium waffle and bacon which was good. The bacon was fried exactly how I like my bacon fried. ( Crispy) At first, walking in, I noticed that it has older decor which I wasn't a fan of but, it's big inside compared to what it looks like outside. I like the open seating and the separate room for larger parties. Service was great, as our waitress really did a great job keeping track of orders, he also did a great job coming back to refill drinks and to provide to-go boxes. He was Awesome!!! We haven't eaten breakfast here in a very long time. And there have been a lot of changes since our last visit. We arrived early on a Saturday; not too many diners as of yet. Gone are the coffee pots for each table. Bummer. Ordered two coffees and the mugs were delivered half full. Whaaat? The omelets were good. The "country" potatoes have become flavorless, half cooked slices with a sour aftertaste. What happened to the previously browned, crispy and tasty potatoes with peppers and onions? The kidlet's "hot" chocolate was lukewarm and his chocolate chip pancakes were cold and tough. Our server was pretty good. I never really noticed until this visit how dark and dated the interior is. Time for an update. Or at least get rid of those awful plastic tablecloths. The prices here are average-high for what is actually delivered. I know times are tough for restaurants now, but we consumers (should) have expectations also. This place could do better. Will we return? Doubtful. read more
