One of my new favorite places in Gilbert. A round of applause for whoever designed this location - ambiance and convenient! First - let's talk about the TWO separate drive thru lanes - one is your traditional drive thru where you look at the menu and order and the second lane is for digital pickup orders! I often order online and then it's smooth sailing through the digital pick up order lane. Second - if you are dining in, you walk in and you order at a kiosk! As someone who usually isn't shy, but ordering at a kiosk is just so efficient and I can replace ingredients and/or take out ingredients without feeling like a nuisance. After you place your order, there's a section of cubbies where you pick up your order and there's a tv counting down until your order is ready! Lastly - I probably should have put this first, but the food is good! My personal favorite is The Rancher - it has the Bird B-Q sauce and little bacon bits. Their fries and tots are both so good, especially with the Bird B-Q sauce. Their chicken sandwiches are really good, but I wasn't a big fan of the nuggets and tenders. Ok Birdcall, I see you!!!! My husband and I came in on a Saturday night. There was a line to order at the kiosk, but it moved quickly. Once you order at the kiosk, your name is on a big tv, and your order is ready in the bay listed. We weren't really sure how it worked at first, but saw the big tv across from our table. I feel like there were so many employees trying to help people figure out what to do, they might as well have been taking orders. We saw some workers take peoples dishes out of the way, while other tables sat dirty for several minutes after customers left. We both used the bathrooms to wash our hands before dinner, and we were shocked that there were no paper towels (only one hand dryer) and you have to pull the door to get out of the bathroom - that's not the most sanitary thing. Onto the food - the star of the show! I had the original chicken sandwich, a nod to chick fil a's original chicken sandwich, I'm sure. It was exactly the same, but elevated! The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and was seasoned incredibly well. I was only missing some sort of sauce. All sauces (except ketchup) are 50 cents for a 1oz cup - a ripoff IMO. The fries were good and reminded me of how Burger King's fries used to be in the 90s lol. You get a pretty big serving for the price you pay. We also tried the coleslaw. It tasted fresh and not soggy! We need a Birdcall in Las Vegas! My family and I were visiting Phoenix for a few days, and Birdcall was near the hotel we were staying at in Gilbert / San Tan Arizona. In one of the evenings, we decided to do a drive-thru order at Birdcall. Every Thursday through Saturday, Birdcall is open until 12 midnight. Birdcall offers all-natural chicken and made-to-order meals. Their menu offers a wide range of sandwiches, salads, tenders, sides, and even milkshakes! It was so hard to choose a chicken sandwich. I was debating between the Cordon Bleu, the Rancher, and their original chicken sandwich! The team member at Birdcall came up to our vehicle and took our order. The inside of the restaurant was packed! A ton of customers were using the outside patio area as well, but the drive-thru wasn't too bad on a Thursday evening around 8:00 P.M! Our order consisted of the following Rancher: All-natural crispy chicken, bacon onion jam, white cheddar, and Bird-B-Q Sauce (may contain: gluten, dairy, and egg) 5-Piece Tenders: All-natural crispy chicken tenders (may contain: gluten, dairy, and egg) Classic Chocolate Milkshake: Hand-spun chocolate milkshake (may contain: dairy) The Rancher chicken sandwich was awesome! The chicken was juicy, the toppings were fresh, and the sauce was the perfect finishing touch. This was my first time having a bacon onion jam, and wow! I hope it's not my last! Had to finally try this chicken spot. Perfect location right across cross from Santan village. Anaiya greeted me and was so sweet. She explained the entire experience of ordering on the iPad. Great and friendly staff. Your name will pop up on the screen when your order is ready and it was less than 5 minutes. You can also take margs to go! Crazy. This is a Colorado based chain and was so excited for it to open as lived in Denver for 7 years and never got a chance to experience it there. Grand Opening: that evening my son and I went. It was super busy! The ordering process is updated. You order your food at the main counter electronically (staff is available to walk you through the process). Meal order numbers are then displayed on a wide screen with viewing your wait time(s). When ready it's provided within a cubical number located under the video display by the kitchen. Since it was National Chicken Day & the Original Sandwich was $1.00 we opted for that along with tots as our side & a drink. *Condiment area with ketchup, utensils & napkins as well as a drink station with sodas & teas.* We sat outside as it was a nice evening. Sipped on two of their flavored teas & waited about 15 minutes to grab our grub and dove in. We thought the sandwich was average. Nothing standout or exceptionally memorable in our opinion. They do offer side sauces at an additional fee. I had the sriracha aoili and that added some depth of flavor and heat to the sammie. The tots were good! The ranch was a little bland but the Buffalo blue cheese dressing is delicious. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Rating this place two stars since the service was stellar, but the food was not. Ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and the Southern Chicken Sandwich with fries and tater tots. The only things that was worth eating was the tater tots. The fries lacked flavor and were not crunchy.. Additionally, both chicken sandwiches were dry and unseasoned. I will unfortunately never return nor recommend this place to anyone. I recommend going to other chicken places and skip this. We waited 20 minutes in the drive through for this and were extremely disappointed. First and last, time to put this place in the past! First time trying Bird Call, we have 2 celiacs in the family and have heard about the gluten free options. We ordered gluten free nuggets and fries, one chicken sandwich and chicken tenders and shakes. The tenders, fries and shake were a hit with our 12 year old. The hot chicken sandwich and fries were good. The gluten green nuggets were not good, they had this underlying sweetness to it that 2 of of recognized right away. I tried to use buffalo sauce to mask it and it didn't help. My son ended up peeling off the breading to eat them. Shakes were good. We were welcomed upon entry and given a menu to review that was kept on top of the trash (odd to me and gross). You order yourself on a tablet at a counter. Meals are ready for pick up in a cubby. A lot of staff are present but I am unclear on their roles. Tables were sticky, and if not sticky a few were wet like cleaned but not dried. The floor was also audibly sticky. WARNING, HOSTILE EMPLOYEES! We have been loyal customers since Birdcall opened and visit multiple times a month. Last night changed that completely. I ordered through the app for pickup, as I have many times before, and was standing quietly in the pickup area waiting for my food. An employee named Dee approached me and asked if she could help. I politely said no, I was just waiting for my order. She then persisted and told me I needed to tell her what food I was waiting for so she could "verify" I was allowed to take it. This has never been their normal process. I calmly declined again and asked to be left alone. Instead of backing off, she stood inches from my body and continued pressing me. I had to explicitly ask her to step away from me. At this point my husband, who was on the phone with me, asked why an employee was harassing me. I asked to speak to a manager. Gabe came over, rolled his eyes, and immediately said, "I don't believe you." He then told me he didn't have time for this, handed me my food, and said "have a good day," completely dismissing the situation. It got worse. The same employee came back up to me, again inches from my body, and whispered, "Kindness is deceiving, see." I reported this to the manager immediately. His response was to tell me to "just take your food and go." The employee then approached me again and asked, "Do you have a problem with me?" still invading my personal space. I asked for a refund and a receipt. They pretended to print something and handed me a standard receipt instead. No apology. No acknowledgment. No attempt to de-escalate or protect a customer who was clearly uncomfortable. This experience was violating, hostile, and completely mishandled by management. Being dismissed, disbelieved, and repeatedly confronted by the same employee while management stood by is unacceptable. Employees who behave this way should not be interacting with customers, and managers who refuse to intervene should not be managing anyone. I am appalled and will be escalating this as far as necessary. What happened last night should never happen to any customer. read more

It's a space that feels both comfortable and stylish. I opted for one of their signature chicken sandwich and curry chicken salad, The chicken was juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of crispiness. However the chicken was so salty both in sandwich and salad. Since the dishes were salty even though I was hungry I didn't want to order more. The ordering system was a breeze using the digital kiosk was quick and easy allowing me to customize my meal to my liking. The service was friendly. read more

First time I have been here. Last time I looked they had no grilled chicken option. Perhaps I was mistaken and went past it to Torchy's. (Which could become a story sometime.) But a couple of weeks ago I was looking for a lunch bite in the neighborhood and we saw the grilled option. Time to check it out. The person at the front was very polite and helpful in ordering. I had the teriyaki grilled chicken and it was pretty dang good. Wife had the BBQ chicken grilled with a LOT of bacon jam on it. Over powering but substantial and good. I will definitely be back. The person that rang on my order, repeated the order back, including the side of ranch when I got my food I had no ranch so I politely asked for ranch the girl told me it wasn't rang up. I kinda just looked at her because it's not my fault that they didn't ring it up because the individual that took my order repeated it back to me. She proceeded to give me a small Togo sauce container.. when I got home to sit down and eat I chose to eat my fries with what was to be ranch, but it definitely did not taste like ranch at all turns out she ended up giving me the herb mayo... my Nashville hot chicken I feel like it was missing something. It's just a chicken sandwich with Nashville hot and pickles, but I feel like it's missing something, it can use something else to accompany the sandwich and the pickles. if in the area in the future, I may go back to try a different sandwich. TL;DR: Undercooked chicken and food poisoning nearly ruined holiday weekend. Fries are best fresh, but quality deteriorates quickly. Birdcall used to be a go-to spot due to their gluten allergy friendliness. Separate fryers and clearly marked allergens was a huge plus as my wife has celiacs. Ordered right when they opened, so as expected the food was ready quickly as they didn't have a lot of orders ahead of us. We ate our food, and quickly realized that at least one of the sandwiches was greatly undercooked. Tossed it once we saw the middle (see photo). I was less lucky, as I was very hungry from skipping breakfast and didn't take note of the cook. I got very sick and later projectile vomited the contents of my meal and the subsequent snacks I had. This was right before the 4th of July holiday where we had a vacation planned, so my stomach was barely recovered for the holiday. It was tough to eat anything and I had no appetite. I have zero desire to have Birdcall again anytime soon. I reached out to customer service to report the undercooked sandwich and have not received a response at all. This was before I had the episode described above. Birdcall was a regular spot, at one point once a week. But now it is an actively avoid. Side note: fries are tasty and I appreciate that they don't put them in your bag until the order is ready, even if you order ahead. From visit Saturday 1/4/25. Me and my buddy walked in around 8:20pm, was immediately greeted by the young lady at the front. There was only 2 tables being occupied (a large family and a couple) so the restaurants was pretty quiet. My buddy said he was just recommended this place like a week or two prior by one of our other coworkers... And I noticed it was right by CooperHawk, where we were going to do a wine tasting, so while we were drinking, I decide to look at the menu. It looked pretty good, and y'all had "Decent" reviews, so I told him after we drink. I want to stop by and get food. Service was great, bathrooms were clean. I did ask for Buffalo on side but when it came out, it had it on the sandwich. They offered to remake it but I didn't want them to go through the trouble. Either way, the sandwich did NOT disappoint yum yum yum. I will admit, my sandwich did get a little soggy at the end but it was still delicious. Normally, I don't get tater tots, because I've never had tater tots good enough to order over fries... Plus, I only really like tater tots from sonic. But I asked the lady and the guy at the front which they recommend, and they both said the tater tots. I'm all about the recommendation so I got the tater tots and same thing, they did NOT disappoint. They are better than sonic tots. If you're trying to choose between the fries and the tots, I'm telling you right now GET THE TOTS. (Although I didn't try to fries so next time lol) overall, 10/10 experience. I did try a sample of whatever two frozen drinks they had (one was the marg and for the life of me, I cannot remember what the purple one was), and had we sat down to eat instead of doing a pick up order, I would have ordered one so make sure you get that purple one... We went for the first time last night! I tried the shawarma sandwich special and it was pretty decent, I'd give it a 3/5. I liked the cucumber salad but had like 2-3 cucumbers. It left me wanting more. But the flavor and the hummus were really good. If I go back I'd definitely try something else. My husband tried the deluxe and he really liked it! 4.5/4. Everything was on point. The cookies and cream shake was a 4/5. Perfectly creamy and great consistency. The tots were 5/5! The seasoning is delish and the bird call sauce was a super good take on a fry sauce. So yummy! The service was awesome! The girls working were so friendly and helpful. So this is the 3rd and last time I will come here. Last time they overcooked the food, sent me $10 off that didn't appear to have an expiration date but did so never used it. Went in today, the chicken sandwich was dismal at best. Half the bun was left because that's how small the chicken breast was. The chicken nuggets were mediocre. The sauce you get with them is so small you don't have enough for everyone. Spending nearly $30 was even more disappointing. So good luck! read more

And it was very greasy which I did not like. The fries were excellent. I ordered a root beer as well. It was a fountain drink. You order on a screen and then you pick up your order when I call your number in a little cube. It was $17 for everything. Which I thought was a little much for fast food. Went here for the first time for lunch around 11:30 & that was perfect because they started getting busy right as I got my order. They have quite a few choices for chicken sandwiches & salads as well. I had the Ceasar which came out in about 5 minutes & a craft Root Beer....I love Root Beer. The sandwich was very tasty, the chicken nice & moist & the parmesean chip inside was a great flavor in the mix. The people inside was really friendly & helpful, which was good as you have to either remote order or use their little pos' which will only let you slide your card. Both I and the guy beside me had issues with the pos, which requires you to slide your card before you can order. Management needs to fix that asap. read more

After a while, an employee said there was another one open off to the side and directed us to it. It was not even working and we had to stand in line again. We managed to order and that was not super hard but annoying. It would have been better to order with a live person. We went outside and the tables were dirty. We got our food and it was underwhelming. The sandwiches were okay at best. The tots has a strange taste to them, but that may be us. Not a a fan. Very impressed by Birdcall and this new location in Gilbert! We've been anxiously waiting the opening and we're happy we were able to make a trip happen about a week after the official opening. We hit the drive through which was very busy, but we expected this being so new. Ordered the Nashville Hot sandwich, tenders, the Asian chicken salad, and a strawberry milkshake. All was delicious but we loved the tenders and the salad the best. Tots are a must! The indoor and outside seating areas were super busy but the vibes looked great! I love the decor and the bright atmosphere. We self-ordered at the kiosk, it was a very user-friendly system. All of the tables were dirty, we chose the 'cleanest'. We waited about 10 minutes for our order. The only miss here was our drink order; it wasn't really clear where we were to pick up our beer and cocktail. We tried two sandwiches (Southern: All-natural crispy chicken, pimento cheese, and southern coleslaw and the Nashville Hot: All-natural crispy chicken tossed in Nashville hot or 'extra hot' sauce, and sweet pickles). The Nashville was spicy and delicious; the Southern was underwhelming. (I know way too much about pimento cheese after living in the South-this was not at all a good version.) When your order is ready, your name will appear on the screen along with the bay no. your food will be picked up from. We ordered the original and southern with fries and tater tots. The sandwiches were hot and fresh, bread warm and toasted. The breading of the chicken is way too thick, dripping with oil, and overwhelms what you actually taste, even on the southern which had coleslaw and pimiento cheese. All you really taste on the sandwiches is the breading of the chicken. The seasoning on the tots and fries was overly salty. Although the meal looked appetizing and was hot and fresh, the taste was not great, oily and salty. We will not return to this restaurant. read more

This new restaurant in Gilbert was a surprise. I didn't know what to expect with its name I was quickly informed when I looked at the menu. It's a chicken sandwich place! These was a pictured menu with about 4 choices in chicken sandwiches with the main difference being the toppings I chose the "southern " which was a fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese Also had their tator tots. You order from an electronic iPad like device and then wait for your order. The dining area is mostly outside with limited indoor seating Prices wee moderate. Restaurant and restrooms very clean The food was good. The menu could use some upgrades maybe a burger or two Chicken was ok. I liked the place but seriously I probably would go elsewhere that offered more than chicken sandwiches. read more

It's a fast casual restaurant and very nicely set up, the patio area has a little green area for games etc. Ordering is pretty easy, it's self service ordering so you walk up to the kiosk and put in your order. We enjoyed our sandwiches and loved the tator tots! The herb ranch is good as a side sauce! Next time I'd try their salads, I couldn't finish the sandwich and the tator tots. I been here 4-5 times now. Nice bright open-space inside. Really large patio for when the weather is nice. Also they have a putt putt green with balls and putters for those waiting on their meal- fun touch. Food is good but not excellent. Lots of variety in chicken sandwiches and topping. They do charge for every additional topping. I'd expect that for avocado or bacon, but didn't expect for lettuce and onion. They have tractor soda which can be hit and miss with people, but also have a few Coke products on tap so there's a fair amount of choices. Fries and tots are over-salted for my taste. I'll likely eat here again, but not a spot I'd visit more than once or twice a year. read more
