I got to say though that while I'm an Angie's fan, their Caesar salad lacks luster. As for their salmon, it's not my favorite. That said, don't come here for their Caesar salad. The dressing is rather thin and watery and the salmon could use more seasoning. Angie's has much better offerings so don't feel discouraged from coming here. Angie's menu is quite generous. I've been to a few of the Angie's drive-thrus so I decided to check out this Angie's Prime Grill, which is more a fast casual restaurant and doesn't have a drive-thru. Their menu is a bit different from the drive-thru locations and offers more items. I've been here twice now and both times I ordered a fried shrimp sandwich and fries. My first visit was pretty fast. My second, however, took more than 15 minutes, but it was on a busy weekend evening. The prices are very affordable and they have plenty of specials and family deals. Okay I caved and stopped here on way home last night for dinner. I'd never been here before. So I did in fact go in with an open mind and didn't try to compare them to Salad and Go. I get they are different. So I ordered a protein brown with shrimp and chicken, sweet potatoes, avocado and brown rice. I also got the creamy cilantro lime dressing to sample. My foodie opinion is "Not to Shabby"! I liked the seasoning on shrimp. Rice was good. Good portion for pricing. I will for sure go back and try again. I love that it's healthy and quick! Last week, when Salad and Go announced they were closing, my wife and I, like a lot of other people, wanted to know what alternative we had. It became clear very quickly that Angie's, owned by the former owners of Salad and Go, might be a good alternative. Lots of people on social media swore by the place, so we figured we would check it out on Friday night since we could no longer go to Salad and Go for our regular Friday night dinner. Friday evening, we went to the Power and Ray location. Angie's has the menu on the wall, with ordering done on computer screens. I am on a keto diet, so the options were a little disconcerting. The only two salad toppings I could have were the pepperoncinis and cheese, so that's what I got, along with balsamic vinegar dressing. I did like the grilled broccoli and drink add-on. We sat down, and the first thing I noticed in this very industrial-looking storefront was that the tables were kind of pushed every which way. As I walked back and forth to grab our food or pour my drink, I was slipping all over the place. The polished cement floor seemed to have grease on it everywhere. My wife had a teriyaki Asian salad. The teriyaki dressing was very spicy, way too spicy for her, so she decided she would try the protein bowl next time. We decided to give Angie's another try. When ordering the hamburger, there was nowhere for us to say no tomato. Since I'm allergic to tomato, that's a pretty big deal. There was a place to ask for a lettuce wrap, which I did. My wife got a protein bowl, which comes with three sides. When I got to the restaurant to pick up the food, it was ready. I carefully and gingerly walked through the establishment so I would not slip again. As I was standing there, I watched a woman walk up to get a drink and go flying. She caught herself at the last moment on the side of the counter because she was also slipping around the store. When my food came out, I immediately looked through it, and there were tomatoes on my burger. I told the employee that I was allergic and that I really needed them to fix it, so he agreed to remake it. I waited about 10 minutes for them to remake my burger while other orders came and went. At one point, another employee came over, and I told her I was waiting for a replacement burger because I have a tomato allergy. She said they were remaking it and that it would be ready in a few minutes. Once I got my burger, I took our order and went home. When I got home, my wife opened up her protein box, which was supposed to have three items in it: spinach, avocado and broccoli and chicken. There was no broccoli, so she was a little frustrated. She went to eat her French fries since she had gotten fries and a drink along with it, but the fries were cold inside and seemed like they had been cooked quite a while earlier. They tasted old enough that she ended up throwing them away. While the drinks were good, the burger was red, not even pink. As somebody who likes well-done meat, that was definitely an issue. I scraped off the pickles and lettuce and recooked my burger before I ate it. I really wanted to like Angie's, but I just was so not impressed. The food was not good. Sure, the prices are good, but I don't even understand what sort of audience they're catering to because they have all different sorts of things on the menu. It was very confusing. We were hoping to find a few things we could really like and get week to week when we come here on a Friday night, but after being very unimpressed two times in a row, we won't be back. First off, only being able to order by touchscreen digitally can be quite cumbersome when you need help or the touchscreens , don't work properly. People should still be able to order manually.If it is needed. Second off, i ordered three chicken tender meals and each one of them were burnt and inedible by the time I got home. I'm not sure how anyone who works at a restaurant anywhere could have served such overcooked food. The staff is not incredibly hospitable , though there was one girl that was nice. I carried out a couple of weeks ago and wrote this while it was fresh on my mind and have been waiting for this location to be on Yelp. Honestly, I'm a little conflicted. I really wanted to love my lobster roll and give this place 5 stars, but I'm just not quite there. First off, the service was great. Matt was super friendly and helpful, answered my questions about the menu, and put together my lobster roll and quesadillas. Definitely 5-star service from him. The setup is pretty basic. There is some seating, but it's a pretty sparse dining room and not somewhere I'd really want to hang out and eat. You order at kiosks on the wall unless you order ahead, so it feels more like a grab-and-go kind of place. Food-wise, it was a bit mixed. I got the lobster roll and added extra lobster--it was pricey, but you do get a generous portion. I'd say the taste was about a 4 out of 5. I'd still get it again. The quesadillas (both chicken and cheese) were good too--nothing amazing, but definitely solid. Overall, kind of a mixed experience. My toddler had to use the restroom and I would've rather taken him into a circke k bathroom across the street from a construction site. Even the changing table felt like a biohazard. This reflected the rest of the restaurant pretty well too. Trash cans over flowing, floors either sticky or slippery throughout, and food that was nearly inedible. Chicken tasted like fish, bacon looked dehydrated, and portions definitely reflected the cheap prices. My crab sandwich came in what looked like a hotdog bun. And no straws was the cherry on top. I was hopeful walking in but ended up going nextdoor to chipotle for a decent ending to my evening. read more

Angie's is such a rare find! The place is simple, but it has everything you need--and honestly, I appreciate that. Instead of spending money on fancy décor, they've somehow managed to keep their prices incredibly reasonable without compromising the quality of the food. I have basically stopped eating out because so many places have become expensive while the quality has gone down. Not Angie's! The food is fresh, healthy, delicious, and affordable. I especially appreciate that you can order something as simple as a great salad without feeling like you're being gouged. I don't usually write reviews, but I was so impressed--and genuinely grateful for what they're doing--that I had to write one. It feels like they've created a place where almost anyone can afford to eat good, healthy food, and I absolutely love that concept. If I could give Angie's a 20-star review, I would! First and last visit to Angie's. On Monday, August 31, I visited the Power & Ray location in Gilbert with my son. I ordered a chicken and rice bowl, and my son ordered a hamburger. After we had already paid and waited several minutes, I was called to the counter and told they were out of rice. I was offered another entrée, but I didn't want something else. I simply asked them to refund my entrée only--not my son's hamburger--so we could take his food and leave. That's when I was told they couldn't process a refund at the store and that I would have to contact customer service myself. Seriously? The restaurant takes my money for something it can't provide, but then I have to chase down my own refund? I called the customer service number printed on the receipt, thinking someone would resolve it. Instead, the number basically directs you to their website. So now I'm spending even more of my time trying to get money back for food they couldn't provide in the first place. What should have been a very simple situation turned into an unnecessarily frustrating experience. Had someone simply refunded my entrée when I asked, that would have been the end of it. At this point, because of how poorly the situation was handled, I've requested a refund of the entire check. The lack of ownership and customer service is what earned the one-star review. Customers shouldn't have to chase down their own refunds when a restaurant can't fulfill an order they've already paid for. I really want to like this place, but unfortunately, my experience left me disappointed... and this wasn't the first time. For starters, the dining area feels unfinished and doesn't create a very inviting atmosphere... it feels chaotic, and I'm pretty sure the flies outnumbered the customers. As for the food, the breading on the shrimp was extremely hard and overly salty. I also tried the $17 lobster roll option... that was a huge letdown. The meat tasted far too fishy to resemble fresh lobster, and it was dry, as if it had been sitting for quite some time. Even the fries, which are usually hard to get wrong, were soggy and limp. Food tasted horrible the lobster and crab fishy and was stored on shelf in view and doesn't look like it was even on ice. No flavor , very bad taste. Our bowls came with raw cold steak and rotten avocados- 1 bowl had a much larger portion of chips/ beans/rice/etc. We paid $74 for our meal and it was sub par and wildly disappointing. Angie's is a great addition to Gilbert Gateway. I am familiar with their drive thru concepts, but this location offers sit down and take out only. Everything is self-serve- there is no cashier, you must mobile order or use one or the in-store kiosks (cash, card or Apple/Samsung pay only). Service is quick and choices are vast- think warm protein bowls, hearty salads, lobster rolls and chicken- there's something for everyone. Most offerings are under $10 making this a great option for kids and groups. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Angie's this past week. It is very affordable and clean. I like the ordering system where you come in and place the order through the touchscreen and receive it when it is done. I like the mission that Angie's tries to follow which is to make luxurious foods affordable. Loved the lobster roll ordered mine hot and husband ordered his cold. I was super excited to try this place after seeing it used "Maine Lobster" as we have been to Maine and LOVED their lobster rolls and the sweetness of the lobster & the roll itself and seeing a combo price of $15 wasnt too bad as the pictures looked amazing! We went to this location as it offered seating whereas a closer location did not. Walked in to see a wide open restaurant and computer screens on the wall and figured out it was self ordering. That took a little to figure out but I did it. Grabbed a seat and waited for our number (123) to be called. A little surprised to see they had our order in a brown paper bag, but okay. Took them back to our table and upon taking them out of the bag, immediately noticed a fishy smell and I became concerned. The butter and Angie's seasonings were in little packets so we opened those and put some on top of the sandwich. The fries were okay and the amount of lobster was decent but definitely took a few bites with more bun than lobster and this is definitely NOT lobster from Maine, or it just wasnt fresh, but the smell, the taste, the flavor was nothing like what is served in Maine. Needless to say I didnt finish the meal (normal did my hubby as he is not a fan if it smells fishy) and we left there very disappointed with no plans of returning. The pesto chicken salad is my new favorite salad! After Salad and Go shut down, Angie's has been my new favorite fast and good salad place! My husband unfortunately did not enjoy the lobster roll but would give the crab roll a chance. The one thing we agreed on that couldn't earn a 5 star is the inside. They do want you to clean up your own tables which is a cool concept to keep more staff cooking the food, but the floors were disgusting and it just seemed dirty. We probably wouldn't dine in again with just how dirty it is inside, but if you can overlook that and take the food to go, I would say give it a chance! read more

Today we got breakfast from Angie's and we were very disappointed. We ordered our food at 9:30am and we were told it should be ready by 9:48am. We get there at 9:53am and they tell us it is not ready at all. Either because they got our name mixed up or were just not ready on time. More than that, my breakfast burrito was way too salty as well which is what ruined my experience too. The filling was fine but it's clear there was so much sodium to the point where it was almost spicy and it was ruining my throat. In the end, we're very disappointed in the breakfast here and won't order breakfast here again for a while. They just lost our rating and some of our service. read more

No. However, they do offer some healthy options which I appreciate especially after salad don't go closed. After Salad & Go closed, Angie's was begging for our business. Even though it's not convenient... It's almost 20 minutes from our home, we decided to try it. The first time we tried to-go, the three of us in the family were fairly impressed. The food tasted good, but even though we had spent $.69 extra for a dressing it was not included in the bag. It was disappointing because the falafel needed extra dressing. But ok, mistakes happen. The three of us decided to try it again tonight. When we picked up the order, we made sure to make sure the extra dressing was in there. It was not again! When my husband asked one of the workers for the dressing, the worker gave him the dressing with a lecture and basically said "just so you know I'm giving this to you even though you didn't order it" but you can look at the receipt we did pay for it! No lecture necessary... When we got home with the order, it was incredibly disappointing because the warm rice bowl that we ordered customized with falafel came with no falafel! That's basically a salad with rice and that was not satisfying! As stated earlier, this location is not convenient for corrections. It's so disappointing that they can't get the orders right. I don't know if we should try a new location or what... But it doesn't help to get lectured about getting your order right when they're the ones who weren't getting it. This place themselves is advertising as the new Salad and go and let me tell you it's not at all. First off they say it's cheaper, this pineapple refresher is $3 and it's just packets they give you to mix in with sparkling water and they don't tell you that so I was very confused until a worker told me how to make it. It taste horrible like pineapple infused water dosent taste like any caffeine and there is no straws to mix it with. My hands were all sticky after, bathroom was out of service, extremely busy and over whelming, self ordering kiosk, so can't ask any questions about their Menu and salad was a small salad. to top it all off the container they give you for your salad is made of cardboard. The plastic top does not fit on and my salad open all in the bag seriously nothing like salad and go and not good food. super disappointed read more
