    Delicious prime rib sandwich!

We're from Orange County, CA and we love the Wood Ranch and Houston's. Houston's is known for their French Dip. We learned that Charleston's is also known for their French Dip. We decided to give them a try on our drive from the PHX to our home in Queen Creek. We like the vibe inside and that they have so many booths. They have a nice menu with plenty of variety. Cody was our server and he was fun. He struggled a bit with a couple of our questions, but explained he was new; he checked and got back to us asap. He has a nice energy and enthusiasm. We ordered the French dip with fries and the Branzino fish with rice and green beans. The Branzino was a nice and healthy choice, but I thought it was a little pricey at $43. The French dip was delicious - about as good as Houston's. Winner! We took home a piece of carrot cake home which was good, but the frosting was lighter than we expected, maybe a whipped cream/cream cheese frosting. We'd like to try the bread pudding on our next visit. It was a very nice experience and we will definitely be back anytime we are in the area.

We were here on a Wednesday for an early dinner. Charleston's had been on my radar for quite a while. When I suggested that we all go to dinner here, it was a unanimous "yes". The dining area consists of booths. Some are large enough to accommodate a large party, while others are two-tops. After looking over the menu, we all knew what we wanted. I decided to try the "catfish platter," which comes with fried catfish, fries, and coleslaw. The fish was perfectly fried, and the coleslaw was mildly flavored with the right amount of dressing. My husband ordered the filet which came with a salad and baked potato. The salad came with a croissant. A signature touch. Our son-in-law had the burger platter. One grandson got shrimp scampi. Another one got an original chicken tender platter, which came with coleslaw, fries, ketchup, and dipping sauces. One got a chicken parm platter. Everybody enjoyed their food. Our grandsons and their Dad thought Charleston's was worth 5 stars, as it was their favorite restaurant during our visit. Our server was very polite, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. All in all, a great dining experience.

First of all, Leo, our server was fantastic! I can barely remember what I walked into a room for and he was able to give us all the specials info without reading or stuttering once. I was so impressed because it was a lot!! We honestly came in for the shrimp cargot, which was delish and a great snack between our girls day out fun. Great atmosphere great staff.

But I will say that every time I come here we've had great service and good food. We called it get on the waiting list ahead of time, which is really a Time saver. We were seated about 10 minutes after we arrived, even there were at least 30 people waiting for table. Our server was really great. I had to increase our party size by 1:00 and that didn't seem to be an issue at all. We placed our cocktail orders and they came out right away. I also asked for regular butter instead of the cinnamon better with our role, and our server happily brought that. They have a great deal with margaritas and Long Island iced teas for five dollars. We all ordered different things. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin, rare, with a baked potato and Caesar salad. Everything tasted good, and my state came exactly like I like it - - rare. I will say the $5 cocktails are worth about $5, as there wasn't a whole lot alcohol in them. This place is kind of loud, so if you're looking for a quiet dinner this is not your place. But it's fun with its Western theme. I'm sure we'll continue to come back here.

We had been planning this visit for a while and were both really excited to try it. Although we were seated quickly, we were given a regular table after specifically requesting a booth. We tried not to complain, but due to my lower back pain, the hard chair became very uncomfortable for me. There was an empty booth right next to us, so before any drinks or food had even arrived, we politely asked our server if we could move. Instead of showing understanding, she responded very rudely with, "No sorry, we can't move you because that booth belongs to another server" - Are you kidding me?!!! So just because this server didn't want to lose her table I had to sit there and be uncomfortable the whole time. From that point on, I was uncomfortable and in pain the entire meal, which made it hard to enjoy the experience. On top of that, our server rarely checked on us, my son finished his beer before our food arrived and never offered refills, and seemed more focused on chatting with coworkers than paying attention to her tables. As someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, I understand how busy things can get, but kindness and attentiveness go a long way. I would never treat my guests that way, especially when someone is simply asking for a little comfort accommodation. Overall, it was very disappointing service for what we hoped would be a special outing.

From the moment we sat down, the vibe was right, relaxed ambience, comfortable setting, and the kind of place where you can actually unwind and enjoy your meal without being rushed. The environment just feels good. Our waitress was awesome, attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing without hovering. That kind of service makes all the difference and she nailed it. Now the food. Let me start with the real star of the show, the Cheesy Mashed Potato Balls. Golden, perfectly crispy panko crust on the outside, and when you bite in? Creamy mashed potato loaded with gooey melted cheese that literally stretches. Paired with that smooth cheese dipping sauce, these are dangerously addictive. I'd order a double next time without hesitation. The wings were incredible, and yes, I taste tested both the Garlic Parmesan AND the BBQ. The Garlic Parm had that rich, savory coating with a beautiful caramelized char. The BBQ brought a sweet, smoky glaze that had me licking my fingers. Both were meaty, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone tender. Honestly couldn't pick a favorite, you need both. I also grabbed a burger on a pretzel bun with bacon and sweet potato fries, stacked high, messy in the best way, and the pretzel bun held up like a champ. The Hub has that classic neighborhood grill vibe with quality that punches above its weight. Delicious food, generous portions, great service, and a relaxing spot to kick back. Will absolutely be back. Pro tip: Don't sleep on those mashed potato balls. Order them first. And get both wing flavors, thank me later.

But, my wife had fries that I could steal and I appreciate having a salad option. The little side salad had a nice bitterness complemented by the slight sourness of the dressing. The meat was flavorful and sliced perfectly while the bread was toasty enough to stay together long enough to hold in all that juiciness. The queso was rich without being too heavy, and the mustard added a nice contrast. For my meal, I had the Caesar salad topped with a bistro steak cooked a perfect medium rare. The romaine was crisp, the garlic-anchovy dressing bold, and the garlic croutons and parmesan tied everything together. The steak was tender, flavorful, and elevated the salad. At the table, we also ordered the cheesesteak with Angus beef, roasted peppers and onions, Havarti cheese, and garlic aioli served on a baguette, with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was hearty and satisfying, and the fries were really good The wagyu burger was another standout--topped bacon, Gruyère and smoky blue cheese, caramelized onions, tomato jam, and garlic aioli on a pub bun. We arrived with a party of 11 and waited approximately 40 minutes to be seated. During that time, we observed multiple parties of 6-7 guests being seated ahead of us. We checked with the host stand several times to ask about the status of our table, but were repeatedly told that it was not ready. No estimated wait time was provided, and there was little communication regarding the delay. What was most frustrating was continuing to see other guests being seated while our party remained waiting. When a manager finally came out, we were simply told they were waiting for a table. The interaction felt dismissive, and there appeared to be no sense of urgency or concern for our situation. Rather than working to resolve the issue, it seemed as though the expectation was for us to leave. Because it was my son's birthday and he specifically wanted to celebrate at Red Robin, we decided to leave and visit the Superstition Springs location instead. The difference in service was remarkable. We were seated promptly upon arrival, received excellent service, and the staff helped make my son's birthday special by singing Happy Birthday to him. A special thank you to Nikki at the Superstition Springs location for her outstanding customer service, attentiveness, and care. She turned what had started as a disappointing experience into a memorable celebration. We typically visit the Tempe Marketplace location and have always had positive experiences there as well. Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit to the Stapley location. However, we will gladly return to the Superstition Springs location and look forward to seeing Nikki again.
