    Delicious prime rib sandwich!

We're from Orange County, CA and we love the Wood Ranch and Houston's. Houston's is known for their French Dip. We learned that Charleston's is also known for their French Dip. We decided to give them a try on our drive from the PHX to our home in Queen Creek. We like the vibe inside and that they have so many booths. They have a nice menu with plenty of variety. Cody was our server and he was fun. He struggled a bit with a couple of our questions, but explained he was new; he checked and got back to us asap. He has a nice energy and enthusiasm. We ordered the French dip with fries and the Branzino fish with rice and green beans. The Branzino was a nice and healthy choice, but I thought it was a little pricey at $43. The French dip was delicious - about as good as Houston's. Winner! We took home a piece of carrot cake home which was good, but the frosting was lighter than we expected, maybe a whipped cream/cream cheese frosting. We'd like to try the bread pudding on our next visit. It was a very nice experience and we will definitely be back anytime we are in the area.

A special of the day, blackened halibut, very very good!!

I had nit been in awhile. Honestly I was impressed. The setting and ambiance was pleasant. Nothing too fancy or outlandish, but very low key classy. The service was perfect. Exactly what you expect. The food was better than I remembered, ergo the 5 stars. Overall a great experience for a chain.

    Off menu's filet!

We have been coming here for years. My son picked here for his 37 birthday. So many reasons to come here. Favorite appetizer anywhere, the SHRIMP CARGOT in herb garlic butter, havarti cheese, hot and melted! Sooooooo good! Me and birthday boy had Chicken and ribs used to be on menu, not anymore, but if you ask for it, they will make it. So good as well. My steak eater son had the HAND CUT FILET hardwood grilled, served with baked potato and house salad, can't go wrong. Wife had rack of ribs, fall off the bone delicious! Staff here is AMAZING! Iced tea never empty! Trade mark of Charlestons. We were so full but had to get our favorite dessert to go, Key lime pie, "YUMM" and carrot cake, one of the best we have ever had. It's Sunday, Very busy today, had to wait a bit for our food, but well worth it. We drove about 35 miles to get here, and again, worth the drive.

    Shrimp 'scargot-excellent!

Charles Charleston has pretty good food. I had the shrimp cargo and it was excellent as usual! You can feel your arteries hardening while you're eating it because it's tons of butter and cheese and garlic prepared as though they were escargot! It's delicious. I decided to try the chicken piccata this time instead of the catfish. The chicken was perfectly cooked. However, I french fries were not hot and my angel hair pasta was room temperature and did not have a lot of sauce on it. I've had better chicken piccata, but it was still delightful. I asked the bartender to bring me some hot fries and a hot serving serving of angel hair pasta. Once that came, the meal was quite tasty. The service is good and all in all it's a solid place to get a good meal. I'm not hating on Charleston.

We were here on a Wednesday for an early dinner. Charleston's had been on my radar for quite a while. When I suggested that we all go to dinner here, it was a unanimous "yes". The dining area consists of booths. Some are large enough to accommodate a large party, while others are two-tops. After looking over the menu, we all knew what we wanted. I decided to try the "catfish platter," which comes with fried catfish, fries, and coleslaw. The fish was perfectly fried, and the coleslaw was mildly flavored with the right amount of dressing. My husband ordered the filet which came with a salad and baked potato. The salad came with a croissant. A signature touch. Our son-in-law had the burger platter. One grandson got shrimp scampi. Another one got an original chicken tender platter, which came with coleslaw, fries, ketchup, and dipping sauces. One got a chicken parm platter. Everybody enjoyed their food. Our grandsons and their Dad thought Charleston's was worth 5 stars, as it was their favorite restaurant during our visit. Our server was very polite, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. All in all, a great dining experience.

First of all, Leo, our server was fantastic! I can barely remember what I walked into a room for and he was able to give us all the specials info without reading or stuttering once. I was so impressed because it was a lot!! We honestly came in for the shrimp cargot, which was delish and a great snack between our girls day out fun. Great atmosphere great staff.

    DYNAMITE SHRIMP

Great taste and I would definitely recommend getting this shrimp! FYI, it was definitely on the sweet side, just ask for a little more spice and they are happy to make it happen. Service and ambiance is great here.

But I will say that every time I come here we've had great service and good food. We called it get on the waiting list ahead of time, which is really a Time saver. We were seated about 10 minutes after we arrived, even there were at least 30 people waiting for table. Our server was really great. I had to increase our party size by 1:00 and that didn't seem to be an issue at all. We placed our cocktail orders and they came out right away. I also asked for regular butter instead of the cinnamon better with our role, and our server happily brought that. They have a great deal with margaritas and Long Island iced teas for five dollars. We all ordered different things. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin, rare, with a baked potato and Caesar salad. Everything tasted good, and my state came exactly like I like it - - rare. I will say the $5 cocktails are worth about $5, as there wasn't a whole lot alcohol in them. This place is kind of loud, so if you're looking for a quiet dinner this is not your place. But it's fun with its Western theme. I'm sure we'll continue to come back here.

We had been planning this visit for a while and were both really excited to try it. Although we were seated quickly, we were given a regular table after specifically requesting a booth. We tried not to complain, but due to my lower back pain, the hard chair became very uncomfortable for me. There was an empty booth right next to us, so before any drinks or food had even arrived, we politely asked our server if we could move. Instead of showing understanding, she responded very rudely with, "No sorry, we can't move you because that booth belongs to another server" - Are you kidding me?!!! So just because this server didn't want to lose her table I had to sit there and be uncomfortable the whole time. From that point on, I was uncomfortable and in pain the entire meal, which made it hard to enjoy the experience. On top of that, our server rarely checked on us, my son finished his beer before our food arrived and never offered refills, and seemed more focused on chatting with coworkers than paying attention to her tables. As someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, I understand how busy things can get, but kindness and attentiveness go a long way. I would never treat my guests that way, especially when someone is simply asking for a little comfort accommodation. Overall, it was very disappointing service for what we hoped would be a special outing.

We grabbed a private table near the window to enjoy the sunset. We ordered the Papaya salad as an appetizer to share, my friend had the Tom Yum soup as an entree and I had the Green Curry spicy. The salad and soup were ordered medium heat. We had water with lemon and shared a Asahi beer. The Papaya salad was delicious, fresh and had a little heat. The Tom Yum soup was excellent, creamy, wonderful coconut and lemon grass flavors. The Green Curry was one of the best curry dishes I've ever had. Deep and complex flavors, creamy coconut offset the heat perfectly. The atmosphere was causal and relaxed. The server was friendly and helpful in answering a few questions we had about the menu. Never had to ask for water refills as service was very prompt. We look forward to returning very soon. Highly recommended for excellent Thai cuisine with bold flavors!

Our server, which I'll loosely use as a way to describe him, was lackluster and we felt as if we were a nuisance to him just being here. Yes it is busy for a football Sunday but the experience that HE could make a difference in he didn't. We'll start with my drink order. I asked for a simple Arnold Palmer with raspberry flavor. I received a red cup with ice and some liquid concoction that left my stomach feeling gross from the first small sip. He seemed confused by my drink order, here is his opportunity to confirm with me my want or to ask another coworker how to make it if he was unaware. But what he chose to bring back was a drink "with 17 pumps of raspberry", his words not mine. We let him know the drink was unacceptable, he changed his tone and service experience after that. Finally I asked for a water instead and that too took almost 5 mins to bring back to me. We ordered the nachos appetizer and onion rings as a starter as we planned on spending a couple of hours to watch the game. We asked for some extra salsa and sour cream for our nachos. It arrived sloppy and dripping into the other. We have one person who doesn't like salsa but likes sour cream. It ruined that for us. He even dropped the plate quickly on the table without saying excuse me or here you go. We chose to immediately cut our visit short asap. We asked for the check and boxes, he didn't ask one thing. Didn't ask if the food was good or if we needed something after saying we planned on being here a while. Our visit was less than 30 mins. What a major shame.

If you establish a presence here, they will take care of you. Consistency is another major selling point. Go here 10 times, and your food is going to be on point about 9.5 of those times. Those are pretty good odds. They have just recently started a soft launch of their fall/winter menu, which means they are experimenting with a few new dishes while bringing back some old favorites. One of those returning favorites is the crispy cauliflower. Last time around, it was fantastic. This time, while still tasty, it had apparently filed a formal complaint against the word **"crispy"** because there was very little evidence to support the claim. Even the bartender agreed with me that it was somewhat misrepresented. **Pro tip:** Get the sauce on the side. It will help preserve what level of crisp that is intended for this dish. Now, let us move on to the **star of the evening.** The new chicken parmigiana! **Holy mother of God. Butter my butt and call me a biscuit.** This may genuinely be one of the most beautiful, perfectly textured, and downright delicious chicken parmigianas I have ever had. The chicken was crisped to absolute perfection, and the way they layered the marinara on top was brilliant. Rather than drowning the chicken in a traditional, liquidy sauce, they used more of a bruschetta-style topping, which gave it texture while somehow allowing the breading to remain gloriously crispy. **Hands down, one of the best chicken parmigianas I have ever had.** Now we just need to pray to whatever culinary deity is responsible for consistency that they can replicate this thing every time, because this one was *ridiculously* good. One final recommendation: **split the dish.** Unless you are the kind of person who considers a family-size portion a light snack, there is plenty of food here for two.

The meat was flavorful and sliced perfectly while the bread was toasty enough to stay together long enough to hold in all that juiciness. Our server was attentive and friendly and I'll happily go back to try some menu staples ... unless the next special demands my attention like that Reuben did.
