I really like this place, the food is usually pretty good. I've had instances where my food was cold even after waiting but am halfway down the street when I realize it. I went recently and paid for two extra shrimp but didn't receive them which is disappointing because 1 shrimp is almost $2. My concern with this place is that they don't change their gloves. I watched the drive through attendant touch the screen in her gloves, open and pull out buns, pick up something from the floor, open the window to hand me my food all with the same blue gloves. O

I have been a fan of Angie's Lobster for some time. I love the affordable drive-thru lobster concept. You can get a lobster meal with fries and a drink for around $12. And it is pretty good too. Angie's Lobster combined with Angie's Prime Grill by adding chicken and USDA Prime steak to their menu. The bigger menu has salads, wraps, sandwiches and breakfast. They still offer all of their popular seafood items. I came by recently to try one of their burgers. It comes with their special house-made sauce. I came by for breakfast no too long afterwards. The breakfast sandwich is a good-sized sandwich, but a little messy to eat. But I did enjoy the taste and how affordable my meals were. Service was good, but at times could be a little better. I still think the seafood and the salads are still their best items here. Angie's is the place to go for good affordable quick food.

The food here was good but the service was slow and it could've been a lot better. We walked in, ordered on the kiosk - One warm bowl, one salad, and one crab roll with a side of fries. It was empty when we arrived but it got super busy after we sat down. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to be ready and it was just placed on the counter without it being called out. It was almost as if they picked and chose what orders they would call out because they called out a few. The food was good and was flavorful. They forgot to add my side of broccoli but were friendly when I went and told them. Do expect a wait!

I love Angie's Lobster! I recently started getting my nails done at a salon in Tempe and came across this Angie's Lobster one day on my way home. I've been hooked ever since! Angie's offers seafood sandwiches, salads, bowls, and more at a reasonable price. I usually get a spicy honey fried cod sandwich meal. It comes with two pieces of fried North Atlantic cod on a brioche bun with house-made spicy honey and tartar sauce on the side. It's a sticky, messy, delicious sandwich! The meal comes with fries and a fountain drink. The fries are also fantastic. I think about this meal all the time. I knocked a star off because service can be a hit or miss. I've only utilized the drive-thru and even though the staff isn't necessarily rude, they're not the warmest people either. They don't greet you or ask if you need anything else. It's up to you to ask for additional condiments. During my last visit, they messed up my order. They almost charged me for two meals when I only requested one and they ended up giving me the (regular) fried cod sandwich instead of the spicy honey. It was too late to go back when I realized the mistake. It was still delicious, but I was really looking forward to enjoying a spicy honey fried cod sandwich. The world needs more seafood fast food joints like Angie's!

French Toast Meal with Bacon

Angie's Lobster Breakfast via DoorDash - Surprisingly Perfect Start to My Morning! I'm someone who absolutely cannot function without breakfast, and today I needed something quick, affordable, and a little different from my usual McDonald's or bagel routine. A TikTok video popped into my mind about Angie's Lobster offering breakfast, and the tray they showed--French toast, sausage, and potatoes for just $5.99--looked way too good to ignore. Now I know what you're thinking... breakfast from a place called Angie's Lobster? Sounds chaotic. But surprisingly, they have a solid little breakfast menu with options like bowls, burritos, and French toast. Angie's happens to be about a mile from my job, so I figured it was the perfect time to give it a try. I ordered 2 slices of French toast and 2 pieces of bacon, and my subtotal was just $7.14, which is a steal--especially since most places hike up prices on delivery apps. The order arrived quickly, still warm, and I was genuinely impressed. As a diehard French toast lover, I can say theirs was perfect. Thick, fluffy bread (the only right way to do it!), and it came with a pouch of butter and syrup. The bacon was soft and flavorful, just how I like it. Nothing was soggy or overdone--just simple, satisfying, and way better than expected. This is definitely going into my regular breakfast rotation. If you're skeptical about breakfast from a seafood spot, don't be--Angie's might just surprise you.

So let's talk quality fast food. This is it. Look at the menu, look at the pricing, you get great options, fresh and healthy food, for the price of lesser quality items out there. Salad for $5 made fresh in front of you. They are quick and accurate. Tastes delicious. Big portions. Friendly staff but they are to busy to chat you will notice them moving super fast to get you through the line. You get your own forks and napkins. They are conscious about being wasteful. No in store dining just to go. Try it you won't be sorry. I had the cod fish sandwich, my son the burrito and we shared the salad. $23 for all this yummy!

First time trying Angie's. Got the lobster roll w/ fries and a single piece of fried cod. The lobster was tough, chewy, and crumbly. Worst lobster I've ever tasted. The seasoned butter didn't have much flavor either. Spent $30 for it to end up in the trash. Pick up order was ready 15 min early so when I arrived 4 min before the said pick up time they handed me cold fries, soggy fish and luke warm roll with very overdone lobster pieces.

Like Angie's Prime Grill, there is no staff on the front side of the restaurant. When you walking you order at the kiosk and the cooks place your order on the shelves for you to pick up. Grab your own drink and condiments, and you never have a conversation with anyone. It's a little strange to not see any staff around at first, but that's how they keep the prices so low. There are some spray bottles and a sign saying to wipe your table when you're done, but it appears that almost nobody does. It looks like most people come in and clean the table before they sit. The food is really good here, and the prices are amazing! We had: *Lobster roll with spicy butter *Chilled Maine Jonah Crab roll *Chilled North Atlantic Snow Crab Roll *Caprese Bowl with falafel *Fries Everything was so delicious, including the fries! I'm not going to lie, it feels a little weird without ever seeing anybody working there (aside from seeing them on the other side of the metal shelves), but I don't think too many people actually sit and eat in there. There were so many people picking up orders. And the price is really right.

B-to-F: 7oz steakhouse burger and the 3oz. burger

Q: What's the most common burger name? A: Patty! "In my mind the 7-oz burger is Patricia to the 3-oz Patty :-)" ― Tess M., Los Angeles 16-year Elite Inside Angie's Lobster sits Angie's Burger. We wanted a side-by-side taste test between the 3oz. burger and the 7oz steakhouse burger. Without a doubt, if you got $2 to spare and have a bigger appetite, go for the 7oz. The 3oz. burger is a good smashburger and you won't be disappointed but the 7oz. burger is a juicy medium-rare cooked patty with more flavor. I like this concept of ordering at the kiosk and picking up at the window. You also bus your own table to help keep cost down. On the February night we were in, it was a bit warm indoors so we took our food to go. From the masterminds behind Salad And Go , Angie's Lobster, and Angie's Grill is Angie's Burger!

Chicken Cobb salad

I LOVE the chicken salads from Angie's, and recently learned that there are so many different locations around the valley, some offering lobster or burgers. I decided to go with my usual chicken salad here. This location was different, as it was drive through ordering only, and they had a credit card machine outside at the speaker you used to place your order. It was different. But the process was smooth and my Cobb salad was yummy. I would definitely come back here again, and might try one of their delicious looking lobster sandwiches.

I'm giving 3 stars. I would not go out of my way to come back here. I get that they are keeping costs down by not having a counter, but the floors were dirty, they ask you to clean and sanitize your table when you're done eating, and the food was OK. The lobster roll (cold) was fresh and the shrimp sandwich was plentiful and flavorful. I like that sauces come on the side, but my fried shrimp sandwich was cold and the French fries were too. At least give fresh food and not stuff that is cold.

This is a great no frills fast food restaurant serving very affordable food. I honestly didn't expect much as the prices are so cheap. I mean $11.99 for a warm lobster roll? Well, I am very impressed! It was delish and very satisfying. Only thing that would've made it better is extra warm butter. You can also make it a meal and get fries and a drink for only $2. I also tried: Warm snow crab roll $8.99- I thought it was pretty good. Fried cod meal $9.99- also very good as the cod is flakey and crunchy. Love their tartar sauce. Extra packets are 99 cents. The meals come with a ton of fries!! Chilled lobster roll $9.99- I wasn't crazy about this one, it was a bit salty and not as flavorful as the warm roll. Just for the value alone, I have to rate this place 5 stars. You just can't beat the value. You order at the self order kiosk and your name is called when your order is ready. This place does not accept cash, and they're open from 6AM to 10PM every day.

This location has a dining area unlike some other locations. This is a bare bones basic restaurant. You order at a kiosk station. The system is easy to navigate and your name is called when your order is done. This time I had the fried cod meal with a pineapple lemonade and fries. I also ordered extra tartar sauce packets. The cod was cooked to perfection. It was crispy and flakey, very well done. It was delicious with tons of tartar sauce on it. The fries just keep going as they give you so much food for what you pay. Wife had the chilled lobster roll and she enjoyed it but she prefers the warm roll. Solid place for seafood and I will be coming back to try other items on the menu!

STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND READ THIS--Portillo's at 7200 W Ray Rd in Chandler Has Just Redefined…read more"Heaven on a Plate" with the BIG BEEF DIPPED and That CHEESE SAUCE... OMG! I've had Italian Beef before. I've loved Italian Beef before. But nothing--NOTHING--prepared me for the transcendent, jaw-dropping, flavor-explosion experience that is ordering the Big Beef DIPPED at this Chandler location. If you haven't done it yet, you haven't lived. And if you've had it elsewhere but haven't had it here with their cheese sauce... well, buckle up, because you're about to discover your new favorite thing on the entire planet. From the second you walk into Portillo's on Ray Road, you can smell the magic--crisp sport peppers, rich au jus, and that unmistakable aroma of slow-roasted beef that makes your stomach growl instantly. But the real moment of truth comes when you look that server in the eye and say: "I'll take the Big Beef, DIPPED, LOADED with cheese sauce. And I mean loaded." Watch their face light up--they know. They understand. This is not just a sandwich; it's a ritual, and this location performs it with reverence. Then it arrives. Oh. My. Goodness. The bread is drenched--and I mean perfectly, gloriously drenched--in that deep, savory au jus, so every inch is saturated with rich, beefy flavor. It's not soggy; it's luscious. It's a sponge for joy. And then... the cheese sauce. Sweet, spicy, velvety, liquid gold--it's like someone took pepper jack, dreams, and a touch of heaven and whipped it into a creamy, molten ribbon that cascades over every millimeter of that dipped bread and tender, shreddy beef. The first bite is not just a meal--it's a religious experience. The crunch of the giardiniera, the pop of a sport pepper, the warm, juicy beef, the cheese sauce pulling in golden strands... it's an OMG moment so intense you might actually forget your own name for a second. You'll hear yourself making sounds you didn't know you could make. You might cry a little (happy tears). You might order a second one before you've even finished the first. And here's the thing--the Chandler location executes this with flawless, almost artistic precision. The line moves fast, the staff is smiling, and they don't skimp. They don't hold back on the beef, they don't drizzle the cheese sauce like it's an afterthought--they PILE IT ON with pride. You can tell this team lives for these moments. They're not just serving food; they're delivering pure, unadulterated happiness. Even the atmosphere feels electric--like everyone in the room knows they're about to have their day made. You'll see strangers nodding at each other in mutual respect over their sandwiches. You'll hear "OMG!" echoed across the dining room (seriously). And when you finish that Big Beef Dipped--cheese sauce glistening on every corner, not a drop of au jus left--you'll sit back with a food coma smile so wide it hurts, already plotting your next visit. Bottom line: If you are within 50 miles of 7200 W Ray Rd, you have no excuse. Go. Right now. Order the Big Beef DIPPED with EXTRA cheese sauce. Thank me later. And maybe bring a napkin--because that cheese sauce is so good, you're going to want to lick every last drop off your fingers. Five stars? Try FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS PLUS A STANDING OVATION! This is the best sandwich I've ever had in my life, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to be this good.

I love Portillos! This is a new location and closer to my house, which I am excited about!…read more The first thing I noticed was how much smaller this location is compared to the Tempe location. Plus it didn't have that nostalgia vibe Tempe's location has. But, I was there for the food. I ordered my norm, which is a Chicago style hot dog along with some cheese fries. When my order was called, I picked it up and sat at a window side table. I tried French fry first and it was Luke warm and limp. I had to take it back and asked for crispier fries. They automatically upgraded my fries to large. The fries were just a little crispier and a little warmer, not hot. Weird! But the fries were tasty! Now my hot dog. It wasn't much warmer than my first batch of fries. Plus it didn't taste as good as the Tempe location. It was still good, but I think if the hot dog was hot it would have been better. My wife suggested maybe it's because their grill is new and isn't seasoned yet! Hmmmm! Maybe! But it was still good. I paid another visit and ordered another Chicago dog and a Fish sandwich. The hot dog was the same as my last visit. But the fish sandwich was a different story. It was actually a very good fish sandwich. I rank it higher than the other fast food restaurants; such as, McDonalds, Arby's, Burger King, and Culver's! I do want to try their charbroiled burgers! This Whataburger location is a few minutes away from the casino on the way back to Phoenix. Ambiance (N/A): I used the drive through to place my order. Service (4/5): While service wasn't a big part of the experience, the lady taking my order was friendly. She also asked if I wanted regular or spicy ketchup. My food was ready within a reasonable period of time. All in all, what you hope for when you're ordering fast food. Drinks (4.5/5): I spent four years in grad school in North Carolina so I'm a big fan of sweet tea. Whataburger has freshly brewed sweet tea. And even their medium size is a Texas-sized cup. That makes their beverage options a winner in my book. Food (4/5): I'm from Texas and Texans are big on Whataburger. It's nice that they have several locations in Phoenix. It reminds me of home. Some of my favorite items on the menu include the honey butter chicken biscuit (on the breakfast menu), the honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich, the chicken tenders basket with gravy, and really any of their burgers (pretty solid for fast food). This time around, I went with the avocado burger which is served on Texas toast. It's not everyday you find avocado on the menu at a fast food joint. The burger was above average (I came in with the proper expectations). What I really enjoyed is the fries which were fresh (rather than sitting under a heat lamp like you typically get at a fast food restaurant). With their homemade ketchup, it made for the perfect side. Whataburger by no means has the best burgers in town. Not even close.
