So I think I may have somewhat of a love/hate relationship with Angie's lobster. Sometimes it's amazing and other times, well not so much. Truthfully, what keeps me coming back, is that hard to beat price of the warm buttered lobster roll that I find myself craving from time to time. Former owners of the popular Salad & Go who just recently closed their doors, have brought some of their original salad recipes to share at Angie's! I have yet to try them but they all look & sound fantastic! Choose from an array of protein options like salmon, shrimp & even seared falafel. Angie's menu offers an interesting combination of seafood, protein bowls, Mexican food & salads as mentioned. I've only ever tried the lobster rolls (warm buttered) & last 2 times I've been, have left me feeling very underwhelmed. The bun which should be buttery & soft was stiff & cold, the lobster meat portion was less than fair & the French fries were cold & stale. Don't expect your lobster roll to be smothered in butter, as it comes prepackaged & is applied yourself. The service however is quick and is a great spot for those in a hurry. Especially love that they have a drive thru. Inside you'll find just a very small handful of tables, and orders are placed on the touch pad kiosk. So will I ever come back to Angie's? Very likely yes. I really need to "venture out" & try the other items on their menu. Until then, it will probably be a while til I come back in for some cheap eats. read more

The food is good at a great price, but the service, not that there is any, is horrendous. It's not IF they make a mistake on the order, it's how bad the mistake will be. Constantly missing drinks, salad dressings and sauces. When asked about the error the staff usually looks pretty put out that you expect the order the way you electronically ordered it, and it's shows on the printed receipt they give you. If it's not a missing item, but something made incorrectly, like my wife who eats low carb who got a rice bowl instead the salad she ordered and was printed on the receipt they handed her, instead of mailing it fresh, they scooped out as much rice as they could by hand and called it a day. You are brace if you go through the drive through without thoroughly checking your order before driving off. I've been frequenting this location since my local Salad and Go closed and they honestly get the order wrong more often than they get it right. Heck on another trip they gave my food to someone else. I've been a customer of Angie's Lobster for a while, but unfortunately, I'm no longer satisfied with the direction the restaurant has taken. The constant menu and price changes have really taken away from the experience. I typically order the warm lobster roll, but lately, the quality has been disappointing. The roll is practically stale and dry, yet somehow soggy on the bottom. For the price, I expect a lot more consistency and attention to quality. I also find it disappointing that a restaurant called Angie's Lobster now has only three seafood items on the menu. It makes you question what the brand is even trying to be anymore. Looking back, I probably should have known my satisfaction would be short-lived after seeing how unprofessionally the owner handled his departure from Salad and Go. My family have been going here before and after Salad and Go (same owners). My dad was disappointed with his lobster roll due to not enough lobster. Lemon butter or spicy honey were interesting sauce. I was hoping lemon butter wouldn't be too lemony. It was more oily. I liked the butter they no longer have. I really like this place, the food is usually pretty good. I've had instances where my food was cold even after waiting but am halfway down the street when I realize it. I went recently and paid for two extra shrimp but didn't receive them which is disappointing because 1 shrimp is almost $2. My concern with this place is that they don't change their gloves. I have been a fan of Angie's Lobster for some time. I love the affordable drive-thru lobster concept. You can get a lobster meal with fries and a drink for around $12. And it is pretty good too. Angie's Lobster combined with Angie's Prime Grill by adding chicken and USDA Prime steak to their menu. The bigger menu has salads, wraps, sandwiches and breakfast. They still offer all of their popular seafood items. I came by recently to try one of their burgers. It comes with their special house-made sauce. I came by for breakfast no too long afterwards. The breakfast sandwich is a good-sized sandwich, but a little messy to eat. But I did enjoy the taste and how affordable my meals were. Service was good, but at times could be a little better. The food here was good but the service was slow and it could've been a lot better. We walked in, ordered on the kiosk - One warm bowl, one salad, and one crab roll with a side of fries. It was empty when we arrived but it got super busy after we sat down. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to be ready and it was just placed on the counter without it being called out. It was almost as if they picked and chose what orders they would call out because they called out a few. The food was good and was flavorful. I love Angie's Lobster! I recently started getting my nails done at a salon in Tempe and came across this Angie's Lobster one day on my way home. I've been hooked ever since! Angie's offers seafood sandwiches, salads, bowls, and more at a reasonable price. I usually get a spicy honey fried cod sandwich meal. It comes with two pieces of fried North Atlantic cod on a brioche bun with house-made spicy honey and tartar sauce on the side. It's a sticky, messy, delicious sandwich! The meal comes with fries and a fountain drink. The fries are also fantastic. I think about this meal all the time. I knocked a star off because service can be a hit or miss. I've only utilized the drive-thru and even though the staff isn't necessarily rude, they're not the warmest people either. They don't greet you or ask if you need anything else. It's up to you to ask for additional condiments. During my last visit, they messed up my order. They almost charged me for two meals when I only requested one and they ended up giving me the (regular) fried cod sandwich instead of the spicy honey. It was too late to go back when I realized the mistake. It was still delicious, but I was really looking forward to enjoying a spicy honey fried cod sandwich. Like Angie's Prime Grill, there is no staff on the front side of the restaurant. When you walking you order at the kiosk and the cooks place your order on the shelves for you to pick up. Grab your own drink and condiments, and you never have a conversation with anyone. It's a little strange to not see any staff around at first, but that's how they keep the prices so low. There are some spray bottles and a sign saying to wipe your table when you're done, but it appears that almost nobody does. It looks like most people come in and clean the table before they sit. The food is really good here, and the prices are amazing! I LOVE the chicken salads from Angie's, and recently learned that there are so many different locations around the valley, some offering lobster or burgers. This location has a dining area unlike some other locations. This is a bare bones basic restaurant. You order at a kiosk station. The system is easy to navigate and your name is called when your order is done. This time I had the fried cod meal with a pineapple lemonade and fries. I also ordered extra tartar sauce packets. The cod was cooked to perfection. It was crispy and flakey, very well done. It was delicious with tons of tartar sauce on it. The fries just keep going as they give you so much food for what you pay. Have been here on a few occasions and Although the salads do pretty much taste like peak salad and go, the service is absolutely awful. Just like any Angie's location, asking for a moment to look at the menu leaves you with 5 minutes of straight silence from the employees working the drive though. It took us 30 seconds to decide what to eat, and no reply back from drive through voice for 5 minutes. Are you serious? There was not a single other customer car parked in the lot and we were the only ones in the drive though. What could you possibly be doing for 5 minutes that you can't respond when we're ready to order? We ended up just driving away. Not the first time this happened, but most likely the last. read more

I have not been to Angie's in a while and I forgot how much I enjoy it. This location is the first time I've tried their lobster and burgers concept. I love it. Personally I enjoy going in and ordering from the kiosks with no human interaction. I'm totally fine with it for this type of food. If having fewer employees means I get a quality product with a deal, then yes let's do that. Plus, the humans we did interact with were a pleasure. Polite, nice, and happy to correct Derek Y's order. No arguing or having to justify the complaint. Just a "oh my I'm so sorry, let me remake that for you".... Refreshing behavior a for fast food worker. Nothing against people who work at fast food, I myself started at Denny's way back in the day. But so much of the time the workers are rude, impatient, and just unpleasant to interact with. I know, I know....living wages, low quality work, possible poor working conditions. That's all very real. The companies that do business like that suck. Any company that treats its employees poorly sucks. I don't care what industry it is. Anyway, this is becoming quite the rant. My point is, I'll take automation if it means the humans that are involved are better off. The price points at Angie's can't be beat. The food is good, it's fast, the dining room is simply and clean. This location is "fancy". The one on baseline is sort of like a padded white room. But I get it, keep things simple and streamlined in whatever way possible to give a deal on the food. Sounds good. Anyway, I tried the egg burger and the warm snow crab roll. Both delicious! Fries were crispy and fresh. Arnold Palmer perfect ratio and their cold brew is pretty decent too. I'm giving 3 stars. I would not go out of my way to come back here. I get that they are keeping costs down by not having a counter, but the floors were dirty, they ask you to clean and sanitize your table when you're done eating, and the food was OK. The lobster roll (cold) was fresh and the shrimp sandwich was plentiful and flavorful. I like that sauces come on the side, but my fried shrimp sandwich was cold and the French fries were too. I've had lobster roll at of all places the airport in Charlotte so I was eager to try Angie's with a friend who had gone to another location but this one was close by. I have to say I was very disappointed. We ordered the lobster roll with extra lobster and lemon butter which were both additional charges. The roll itself was bland. The bread roll tasted like a regular hotdog bum. I also ordered a side of cod which was over cooked and extra crispy or should I say dry. And the fries tasted like they were cooked in old grease. Needless to say we won't be back. As far as service or ambiance nix that especially after reading the please bus and clean your own table with instructions, spray and napkins.! read more

The fingers have so much filler in them you cannot taste the lobster. They taste like stove top stuffing fried sticks. The fingers and the fries were cold. The quality of this place has declined. Cold food is unacceptable when it only takes few minutes for it to cook with an empty drive thru and 1 customer in the lobby. I will never give this place my money again. read more

I used to visit weekly at the Gilbert location, but after they switched to the 'Angie's Prime Grill' concept there, I now go to Tempe or Mesa for my lobster roll fix. On my recent visit, I noticed something unusual--there was no line at Angie's, which is typically packed with cars. I thought I'd lucked out with the lack of wait, but now I understand why. The roll was dry, and it felt like the lobster portion had been cut by 30-40%. I hope Angie's reconsiders these changes--raising prices from $9.99 to $12.99 a year ago is understandable, but reducing quality is a letdown for longtime fans! read more

This location serves the best fast food seafood and salads in the Valley. I didn't pay too close attention to this location for a while because I didn't think they had a dining room and I was wrong about that - they do and that's how I recommend you experience this location. I say this because you can refill your drink. You might be thinking, "Hey, no big deal....", but you can make a mean Arnold Palmer and I like to have several refills of the good stuff! The food is excellent and the pricing ranges from good to amazing. The lobster roll meals are around $14 and are excellent. All meals come with fries and the fries are damn good. My favorites are the Fish Sandwich and the fried shrimp meals. The breading on each of these items is consistently crispy and delicious and also comes on the chicken strips. The amazing part of their menu pricing comes in the form of the 6 or so different full sized salads that you can order with chicken. I love the Cobb and Greek salads the most and my wife loves the Mexican version. Each of these salads with chicken go for $6!!!!! I think that could be cheaper than attempting to make those salads at home and you never have to step foot in a grocery store! Go eat there if you like delicious salads and fried seafood. Disgusting front door as you enter. The lower half was covered in a white dried liquid, and dried shiny grease. Who allows this? First impressions mean everything. Tried to overlook this, and all the dirty tables and gross drink station. Ordered a hot lobster roll. Mostly shreds of lobster. No nice pieces (none bigger than a m&m in size). But the worse part is how dry and rubbery the tiny shreds were. Nasty! This place seems more concerned with opening new locations and adding a bazillion more menu items, than they are about a solid guest experience or tasty food. They've lost their way and don't care. My seafood craving was strong so we only opted for the Warm Lobster Rolls and the Cold snow crab. The lobster rolls are always stellar, but I wish they would give out some lemon juice or lemon slice. What we really loved most about this place is we didn't feel gross after. Most Seafood you tend to, and this we felt good after. Not too full just right. You do HAVE to clean up after yourself. I'm going to be the odd person out here with the review...I get that! Angie's seems to have a cult following and I know when we've seen the food truck out and about at events, the lines are long. This store just opened a few months ago in the old Wells Fargo bank building and we decided when the signs went up that we would give them a month or so to work out the kinks of a new place and then go give them a try. It was weird to walk into our old bank and see the transformation made. The restaurant was empty and it appears that they are still working on building the place out...adding some ordering kiosks per the sign on the wall. When we approached the window, we were immediately greeted and asked what we want. Explained it was our first time and we wanted a few minutes to check the menu out. Asked some questions and we both landed on the chilled lobster roll along with an order of fries. Our order was given to us within moments of ordering, which we both commented on. Can't believe how fast that was! We took everything home. They have a good size menu and apparently they are known for burgers as well??? Pictures describe our experience. So you open the butter and pour it over the sandwich and the sauce is for the fries but suppose you could also put it on the sandwich. The lobster was ok, moist and cooked well. It just wasn't our cup of tea unfortunately. The fries were cooked well but soggy by the time we got home (about a 10 min drive). The mayo sauce wasn't good at all and I ended up just getting catsup! I love their Mexican burrito with chicken here. Yesterday I thought I was getting one, but it basically had rice and chicken with a bit of avocado inside. If you advertise Rice, black beans, corn, avo, tomato and tortilla chip pieces then it should be inside the one I ordered. I was very disappointed when I opened it up and discovered this. Simple customer service...If you don't have all the ingredients, then you tell the customer and let Them Decide if they still want it.
