I've been coming to Long Wong's since I was a little kid but I've never been to this location on Dobson. When I want Long Wong's I go out of my way to visit the location on 29th street and Thomas but thought I'd give this location a chance. When I arrived for lunch at 12:30pm the place was fairly empty so I didn't have to wait long to order. The menu at this location is easy to navigate and has a large variety of lunch/dinner options available. On this visit, I went with the cheeseburger and six wing combo. I'm a fan of the spicy bbq sauce at the Thomas location so I decided to see how it was at this Long Wong's and I'm happy I did. The bun was soft on the outside but had a nice toast on it from the grill. The hot bbq sauce was both sweet and spicy. I made sure to eat all my wings first so that I could dip my burger in the bbq sauce. If you're close to the Dobson location then I recommend you pop in and see what you've been missing out on. read more

I used to order from this place often. Over the years it has progressively gotten worse. Today was the entire last straw. 1. Ordered a bucket of wings (5 dozen) : Never got that amount. Only got about 1/3 of that. 2. Ordered Lemon pepper : No seasoning 3. Asked for Extra Crispy : It came in extra soggy / undercooked. 4. Soaked in Oil on the bottom of the Plate.... usually there is a tiny bit of oil, this order was swimming in it. This was a disappointment and possibly the last I will ever order from here. I have no idea who they have working in the kitchen but by the way the food is coming out they are either new to food service or they are unprofessional, lazy, and don't Care about their job. I don't even think the owners at this point care. I'm revoking my support for this local business and investing elsewhere. I got chicken teriyaki and they gave me white rice instead of fried and thr quality of the chicken meat was poor. They put a salad in same container as the hot food. I will never order from this business again!!!! After placing a to go order we had realizes within 3 min that we wouldn't be able to make it and attempted to contact the restaurant. They did not answer after 4 attempts we decided ok well nothing we could do about the order. When receiving a phone call from Long Wongs i explained to them the situation and offered to pay a portion of the cost. The oriental woman on the phone proceeded to use profanity. I hung up. After this happened i had recieved multiple phone calls back to back from three unknown numbers. Which when answered was the same woman with each number after I blocked the numbers. Then I recieved text messages. From a private number harassing me stating I was a thief and a child. Upon calling the number a gentleman answered and demanded my card number to pay for the order. In the back ground the same woman could be heard yelling profanities and accusing me of theft again calling me a liar that we did not attempt to call them. So I have decided since they treat customers who have been coming here for over 10 years never again will they get my money. As you can see in the pictures below the first number we attempted multiple times to call with no answer the rest of the numbers were them either calling or texting me after offering to pay for a portion. We ordered wings to go for a group of us tonight. We ordered the bone-in and boneless wings. I think the bone-in wings were just ok. (At least from what others said.) I wouldn't know because I didn't get my order of bone-in wings. I did share some of the boneless wings that my husband ordered. They were severely overcooked! They were quite large - more like strips. But tough and rubbery. The sauces were good with nice heat. We had the Honey Hot and the Mango Habanero. Are used to go to Long Wong's when I was in college and it's been a few years in between since I've visited one. Tonight I was super hungry for some chicken wings and I had passed by Long Wong's earlier in the week so naturally it stuck in my head and I remembered how delicious their wings used to be. I got six mild wings, six barbecue wings, cheesesteak sandwich, fries, and a drink for all under $20. The wings were as delicious as I remembered them to be; crispy, yet moist inside and perfectly flavored with sauce. The cheesesteak sandwich reminded me a bit of a gyro and was delicious. Long Wong's has been an institution for Wings in the East valley long before I moved out here in 2007. I've visited the locations in Chandler and Tempe and have found them to be above average wing establishments. My kids and I happened to be in the area and saw the sign as we approached. My kids LOVE good wings so it didn't take much convincing to get them on board. It is nice to see they've prettied up the place inside. Now for the food. We ordered bone in honey BBQ, Medium and a small pizza. The bbq was sweet and tangy, nothing unexpected but that medium buffalo sauce was the bees f---ing knees y'all. Call me a Buffa-ho for their buffalo cause I'll get on my knees for that sauce, oh lawd! . Granted the pizza seems like it came out of the freezer box at the grocery store but you didn't come for the pizza. You want pizza? Go to the Tempe location with all that crazy s-it they got in front of that place. You want top notch buffalo wings, get your ass up and go to Long Wong's Mesa. read more

This place is not worth your time. We have been long time customers here (5+ years) and have seen it decline to absolute crap. The wings are small and the ranch is runny. They have taken ALL the shortcuts and raised prices that were already too much for what you get. To top things off, the frequent customer app they have that would give out free combos, now let's you have a free kids meal or a hot dog. Save up enough and you can have a generic made-from-frozen burger. Mmmm so good! Why would I order wings on multiple occasions to be rewarded with a 6 piece chicken nugget kids meal? Okay, fine. Many businesses are struggling, but I don't know if I would still cone back here. This was our go-to place for many years because wings were good. Recently, twice in a row now, we noticed that they raised their prices from $35.99 to $42.99. But you know, that's everywhere right now and we need to support these small businesses. Of course they used to have good wings and was well worth it in the PAST. However, the last time we ordered 50 wings to go, we were surprised that the bag was lighter. When we opened the boxes, the wings were drowning in sauces that's probably because they decreased in sizes. They were super tiny. What happened? Did chicken stop growing during covid? Were they overcooked and water came out? I don't know but maybe they were baby chicks. Maybe they get too busy and their suppliers can't keep up so they bought their chicken wings from a tiny world (jk). Other Long Wongs locations still have good size wings. I'm so dissappointed because before Covid, I have been telling people about this Dobson location. Now, I feel like it's too expensive to give them another chance--even with their 20% off digital coupons. Tiny wings aren't worth it, not much meat. The girls are friendly, though. This is the 2nd time I gave this place a try. While sauces are good, I'm very disappointed with the people that cooked my food. I ordered 20 piece wings and when I got home; there were only 15 there. After seeing this, it prompted me to review their pricing...overall, it's cheaper to buy their wings by doz, 30, 50 & 72. Do not order by 1/2 doz, 10 or 20. And, I asked for blue cheese dressing instead of ranch and I still got ranch. Granted, I will never return to this establishment because they ripped me off and got an extra with the tip. Today was the first time I've tried this place and actually had never heard of it. My daughter-in-law said to look at the menu and text her what I wanted. I wanted to try the Charlie burger (bacon cheese) and when she got back she had been told they don't have it on their menu (my only complaint), so she ordered the hamburger for me. My advice is bring your appetite since they are very generous with their food! I looked at the other items before I submitted my review and will definitely order again. For starters, I have not been to a Long Wong's since my ASU days and there was a location on Mill Ave where I used to go see the Gin Blossoms perform in the late 80's, lol. My son goes to ASU now and I found this location on a Yelp wings search and had to give it a try. No more 10 cent wings on Tuesdays they had 30 yrs ago but happy to say the wings were great. Although I try to eat healthier these days, I don't care for soggy baked wings and always prefer the firmness and crunch of greasy deep fried chicken wings and that's exactly what I got. Yum! They didn't have the suicide hot anymore, nor can I handle that at this age, so I ordered 3 dozen medium and was perfectly content with the level of hot. Glad to have found and tried this location after a 30 year hiatus and now my son has a favorite go-to wings spot close to his apartment. I contemplated deducting a star for the sauce leaking out of the styrofoam container into the plastic bag, which leaked in my car but decided against it due to the possibility of operator error! read more

I'm surprised this sh*t hole hasn't been shut down by the health department with how dirty the dining room is kept. We ordered our food and went to sit but all of the tables were dirty. We asked the cashier if someone could wipe them down. We waited and waited and waited. They were not that busy to take two mintues to wipe down tables. My husband finally asked again and the little girl working the register finally came out to wipe them down then gave us attitude after we told her she never gave us a number for our order. The food itself isn't bad, but it's not worth the filth and bad customer service. One more thing I need to mention is the horrible music they play.
