Let me begin by saying I have enjoyed DMacs in the beginning I don't see ever going back, due to the consistent order errors and large reduction in quality. The banana pudding was omitted from my oder (2nd time) I didn't mention it last time. My man went to pick it up and they sent him back with a liquid substance not pudding. The fish plate portion although large had obviously been microwaved as the fish breading was tough and rubbery around the edges. The main cheese was over peppered and not creamy more like a thick block. The sweet potatoes were alright but not enough to increase my 2 star rating. Service was great, the hostess was on point and knowledgeable about the menu. So she was very helpful and friendly. It's not a huge space but it is comfortable and inviting so definitely worth checking out. I've been wanting to try Dmac's for a while but we live out in San Tan Valley and aren't over this way often. The funny thing about this trip was we were returning from Sky Harbor and had just been in Chicago and tried Sharks for the first time. (We're more fans of JJ's and Red Snapper.) Dmac's fried catfish fillets were excellent! Definitely better than the ones we had at Sharks! Also, the hot-honey wings were really good as was the Mac-n-cheese. The only reason this isn't a five star review was you could smell the old grease soon as i brought the food to the car and again when we got it home. I've been a customer since 2023 and I want to say it has declined since then. I went in today and got the mango habanero 4 piece tender and the extreme hot 6 piece bone in. I ordered the catfish with a side of mac and cheese, bbq wings with a side of mac and cheese, another side of Mac and cheese and a side of peach cobbler. As you can tell I love Mac and cheese and was pretty excited to try it!! I waited around 20 minutes so not too long at all and the food came out hot and ready. Let me tell yall something about these wings. Idk who was back there cooking their heart out but these wings are no JOKE. I don't even clean wings off like that... but these wings?!? When I was done all there was left was bone. Pretty ashamed of myself but that's how good they were. My partner loved the catfish and said he'd definitely eat it again! The reason I gave 4 stars because I absolutely love Mac and cheese but for me unfortunately it was dryer than I like. I love my Mac and cheese extremely cheesy and full of flavor. ****BEWARE***I went in to pick up my order which was paid for over the phone. As soon as I walked in, I noticed a change in personnel right away. But okay: businesses are bought and sold ALL the time. As I sat waiting for my order, a young lady walked in wearing a blue romper, spaghetti straps, and some beach flat ( casual) sandals. She had a brief conversation with the 2 young cashiers. She then walked straight into the kitchen!! That was that. I went up to the counter and stated I do not want the food! A punk/street minded (because that's the vibe he displayed) male stepped out from the kitchen and "aggressively" attempted to tell me "she" works here!! I replied I do not see any uniform. The guy was quite rude and remained aggressive. He stated "this is not your restaurant". I agreed BUT "it is my money"!!! The 3 of these non- business personalities/employees had smirks and we're laughing the WHOLE time. Thank God for "the cook". I've been to D-Mac & Wings a couple of times. On my first visit they were out of what I wanted to order (bummer). But they certainly redeemed themselves on my second visit. The service was fast and friendly. When I placed my order, I was quoted a 15 minute wait time. Three minutes later, I was out the door with my steaming hot order in hand. I haven't had a Sloppy Joe sandwich since I was a kid. Theirs was just like I remembered it, simultaneously meaty and sweet. Yum! I'm often hesitant about ordering Mac N Cheese. In my opinion, there's no place for cheese substitutes like processed sauces in the classic dish. Since D-Mac & Wings has this right in their title, I thought I'd give it a try ... and they did not disappoint. Only the real deal can be found in their ooey, gooey Mac N Cheese. I definitely love that the wings were cooked just the way I like it. Only flaw was, not sure if it was the sauce or the chicken that was salty. I was craving some wings and decided to stop by Dmac. The place is small with a few tables. It was late at night but it was pretty busy. The gentleman at the register was very nice and helpful. I got 6 garlic parmesan, my bf ordered 5 hot and 5 honey bbq and cheese sticks, and I order catfish with greens for my son. It did take some time to get our order. Came here for dinner and got some wings and dirty fries. Both were pretty good. We didn't get to try the Mac but it looked great as well. The dirty fries are basically their regular fries with a topping of sloppy Joe and onion. Their regular fries were really good on their own. Coming here was a result of a fellow Yelper who checked in and I realized I had a craving for some wings. The shop is in a plaza just off Country Club so make sure you pay attention to your GPS to turn. Its located just under the awning area so you could miss it as a lot of signage from neighboring businesses is busy. Once I did find the spot, I came in with a big appetite. I went with 1/2 dozen of Lemon Pepper Wings, 1/2 dozen of Honey Hot, and when I saw Fried Catfish on the menu, I thought to myself, "yeap" let's do this. So I got the 3 piece Catfish with Fries... I held off on the mac & cheese as I had things to do in the afternoon and I knew it would weigh me down. In a way, I regret not getting the mac and cheese to try. Wings were great and seasoned well with the dry rub and the wet wasn't overkill. The Catfish was seasoned right and good, but I wasn't a big fan of the fries as they were a bit thicker than I anticipated, (I think I had in mind some "crinkle cut" style fries) but these were still good. If you come in for an order like this, expect 15-20 mins before it's ready. Best bet is to call in your order for pickup.
