Don't let the area deter you from some bomb a%$ chicken and ribs! We had lunch here on Sunday and it did not disappoint. We ordered at the counter and the cashier was friendly. We ordered: One order of 15 pieces of chicken - comes with tortillas, pickled onions, grilled jalapenos One large Mashed potatoes One large Macaroni salad 4 canned sodas Total: $65 The food was given to us quickly. The tortillas were hard and still cold so we asked for them to be warmed up more. After a few minutes, they came back HOT. The chicken was cooked perfectly and had a nice crispy & charred flavor. The mashed potatoes were hot, creamy, and tasted really good. The macaroni was another hit as it was really simple but very good. The grilled jalapenos were spicy and the pickled onions went well with the chicken. We ate about 9 pieces of the chicken and had plenty to take home. We ended up ordering a rack of ribs to go and omg the ribs are delicious! They are very flavorful and thick, ugh so good! I will definitely be back sooon for some more!

Mesquite grilled chicken we got a whole chicken and this what was left it was soooooo amazing

Amazing service fast accurate and peasant great smile on counter staff and were able to chat while multiple tasks going on at once.Their mesquite broiled chicken is by far the tastiest chicken I ever had moist juicy and the skin - forget about it - we got Mac salad and beans and it came with fresh lemon picked onions and salads and corn tortillas - counter gave me 2 broiled ribs to try and they were amazing as well with their mango habanero sauce - if you haven't gone their go now !! Your taste buds will thank me - place had good parking and inside was clean as well - everyone was so quiet because they were too busy eating lol

Had late lunch early dinner with my S.O. She picked this place, we wanted to try their chicken. We ordered a half chicken with small beans and small macaroni salad and large rice. The order comes with pepper, pickled onions, salsa, lemon and corn tortillas. We didn't know if it was going to be enough but I felt it was perfect for 2 people. The flavoring on the chicken was really good, I was eating the chicken off the bone instead of making tacos with it lol. They gave us about 10-15 corn tortillas, they were very good and all the food tasted very light, not greasy and heavy. We really liked the beans, but weren't huge fans of the macaroni salad (was a bit too salty), but we took it home and I will probably eat it all yet tonight. Before we left we bought 2 desserts, I can't wait to try those when you get off work! I'd come here again, the chicken was really good, we will probably get the pieces next time. Their menu was in both English and Spanish, the gentleman taking our order was very polite. Their bathrooms were definitely kept clean. The whole restaurant was kept clean.

Tried to take a before eating but it all looked and smelled so good.

The food was so delicious. We orders the half chicken, rice, beans and macaroni salad and it was all 10/10. We came from Queen Creek and I am for sure making the drive again. The service was amazing super friendly and the restaurant super clean and fun. Great playlist.

Just finish shopping at Frys and was heading south on Alma School road and saw the sign for El Pollo Correteado. Did a u-turn and pulled in. The place is pretty new. Did a search and only the Phoenix locations come up. Walked in and the place smelled great! Order the whole chicken, 2 Mexican Cokes and a side of beans, to go. Got home and shared with the wife-e-poo. WOW! Chicken was great! Nice char and the flavor was excellent! Only complaint was the breast was a little dry but, the rest was very juicy. Came with tortillas, 2 roasted jalapeños, salsa, red onion slices and lemon. Oh, last but not least, the frejolies were very tasty. The ultimate test was if my wife liked the food (considering she is very particular and picky about food). She liked it a lot! She has been a cook for the past 25+ years and is from Mexico, thus the critical pallet . They also have ribs. Next time.

I thought the chicken was good and the beans were good. Just not enough to go back. I have a spot that I like better.

This place is in our regular rotation. We love the chicken and tortillas! Sides are also delicious when not over-salted.

Authentic Mexican food sounded perfect and I knew good things were in store when I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday and all of inside and outside tables were full. The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

Nice cuts, tender and not dry at all. Definitely a fan. Enjoyed both the nachos and the fajitas. Good serving sizes. Also, loved the staff! They were super friendly and welcoming. They offered to take my empty plate as I was about to. They also bud farewell to guests as they left. Felt like a really warm family place. Well lit, fun decor, clean. Very enjoyable - will be back!

The parking lot outside was parking so we thought we may have to wait, but inside was not busy yet and we were seated immediately. I ordered the smoked chicken enchilada as I saw it was a Yelp favorite and it was delicious. I ended up taking half of it home since we all filled up on chips and salsa before our meal. This restaurant is decorated so cutely. I love how there is a Baja influence with all the surf boards but also southwest appeal. There is plenty of seating and tables for big groups. Even with other people yapping around us, the noise level was perfect to enjoy company. 10/10 would recommend.

I'm posting this review for two reasons - The first being because the manager passed the restaurant phone over to the supposed "owner" after I called within five minutes of getting home to tell them the chips and taco shells tasted like they were fried in old, rancid oil. The manager told me she could offer a credit and when I said I would prefer the refund to my card is when she went to get the "owner". I'm fairly sure I wasn't an asshole to her. I was pretty peeved at this point because we're talking about almost $16 of the $49.11 which was the cost of the food I ordered before tax and tip. I work in the service industry/for tips too so I get it. I'm well aware of the price increase of everything everywhere!!! Before going to Ritos I waited in a line of 10 cars at Sam's Club for gas and gas was $49.65. So there's that. The "owner" also reiterated that a refund would only be given if I brought the food back. I'm sorry, but, I live 15 minutes away from Mesa Riverview. My employer was 30 minutes from the restaurant. I sure as f*ck wasn't going to get my ass back in my car and drive back to Ritos to give them shitty tacos and chips. They told me they would offer a credit for next time for chips and 2 tacos - and I guess that's acceptable but my question is - how are you going to provide that when you don't have my number or an email address for me? And aren't chips typically complimentary at a Mexican food restaurant when you dine in? The manager had the audacity to say that the oil was changed, the chips and tacos are cooked in different vats, the cost of meat has gone up and "everyone is feeling it." That's quite the level of audacity. I'm to the point where I don't give a about your credit and if I want Ritos I'll drive even more out of my way to the Garfield or 7th Street location. I'm more pissed off about the "owner's" attitude than I am about the $2.55 chips I threw in the trash. And the taco shells didn't taste too rancid drowning the inside in salsa. My mother was in her bedroom in the back of the house (I was in the kitchen) and just told me she could hear the owner yelling at me and what a sh*tty way to do business. Keep your credit, I won't be back to your locatiom to dine in OR take food to go. PS - Change your raunchy ass oil. As you said, consumers pay *way too much* to get home with a To Go order to have to throw it away because oil isn't changed frequently enough.
