Very nice, very young, eager waiter ! Food was fine and prompt. We asked for outdoor, enclosed patio seating. Lovely setting ... spoiled by neglect. Old, dead leaves in the corners .. and under the tables ! Not just a few .. 3 inches deep of old brown leaves .. under the tables where we sat. I asked if they had a leaf blower. Nope. This hasn't been cleaned out or blown ..in weeks, maybe months. Huh ?? The patio tables. "Pick one. We will clean that one for you." Huh ?? The tables were allowed to remain dusty, dirty. Too hot to cook so we ordered take out from here. It's been many years since we were here. Was going to order on their website but weren't able to make specific modifications and it cost $4 extra. Was greeted by a friendly young lady who helped us with our to go order in person. Prices are not reasonable for the quantity of food. The $25 trio appetizer was ridiculous with cold fries in a huge pizza box. The side salad with our pasta was $7.50. It's just lettuce and it was tiny. We asked for extra dressing in the side with extra croutons. There were 5 croutons. If they would have left the dressing out of the container they could have given more lettuce, and no extra dressing provided. But the ceasar dressing was so acidic, we couldn't eat. We asked for extra 2 breads as we purchased 4 meals and spent over $100 and were given only 1. Definitely not worth the price and the quality was just okay. Pretty sad considering they have an opportunity to do well. Service is poor. No timely refills on drinks, slow staff. The biggest issue was finding out they didn't have the shrimp and crab dip 25 minutes after ordering it. The chicken in the chicken bowl was tough and dry...considering it took 40 minutes to get our food, it prob sat under the light for 25 of that. All in all, pretty poor experience. I was worried about all of the reviews about service. I was introduced to Babbos in Phoenix when we came down here early January. Loved it! Decided to try this location. Was immediately seated, greeted, and provided bread. Our server was awesome, super chill, and we had a great time. I got my usual Eggplant Parm, sub marinara because I wasn't in the mood for a creamy tomato. While this location felt more like neighborhood Italian restaurant vs the Phoenix location, kind of like a mini Cheddars, I will definitely have this place on my mind the next time I'm craving Eggplant Parm. read more

First time trying a new Italian restaurant in town. At 5:30pm the place was EMPTY! 1 couple in there. Greeted and the hosts and told if we could sit at a table. My family of 5 with a baby, we requested a booth 12 booths were available. The teen kid had to ask if they could seat us in a booth....Comes back says they can't and puts us in a half booth WTH? 2 minutes later 2 other couples come in and go straight to the booths! Hahah definitely will not be coming back, to a restaurant that does not have a good welcoming and poor seating arrangements for families. We have been to Babbo 4 times over the last 2 months. The food is always amazing and the ambience is great. Our last visit was great food but the service was horrible. We were one of four tables and watched other tables sit, eat, and leave as we watched out female server hang out behind the bar and ignore. I asked the waiter which of the appetizers were popular, he said one with all sampler. I took a bite of the firecracker rolls and the wonton wrappers were too heavy and too spicy. The marinara sauce had the taste it came from a can. My boyfriend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and said it lacked seasoning. The one thing that went well was the bread that was served at the beginning of the meal. I gave the waiter my American Express card and he came back and said it was denied, which has to be false because I had a zero balance on the card. I've eaten here about a dozen times. Mostly with a large family group and we mostly order pizza or pasta! The pizza is good and so is the pasta. The staff is always friendly and the service is fast. If you want decent pizza in a family friendly environment Babbo is the place. read more

We door dashed from here because I was wanting to try a new Italian restaurant. I ordered the chicken fettuccine it came with broccoli, asparagus, zucchini. For the price of $25.15 it was good but the portion was really small. All to go portions are small it may be my opinion. But I was still hungry. Small portion size, incorrect toppings on orders. This happened to us two times in a row. After the first time in which we did delivery and had our order messed up, we decided to give them another try hoping it was just a fluke. This time not only was the salad very small (again), it looked like a child's size side salad, for $17.00 with NO meat. It also had cubed red apples (yuck) on it vs the pears we ordered. When you request to speak to a manager, you talk to Grace, who says the salad looks small because of the container. Well how was everything good here before these last two awful orders? They had the same salad containers when the portion was of normal size. What a way to gaslight. I don't mind spending more money for quality food, but it's lacking quality and the portions have shrunk it a matter of 6 weeks. I will not be back and would not recommend it. i went to this restaurant at 6pm on Tuesday. Sat at the bar for 10 min before being serviced. i ordered raviolis but they don't have them so i ordered veal marsala, but they don't have that either. I ordered a white wine and was told that's the last glass. The server told me it's not really Italian. WOW you can probably get better Italian food at McDonalds. looks like take out is about 30% of their business so they neglect walk in customers. Service was horrible. I have been coming here for years and will not be returning. Our waiter had no communication skills, just sitting around staring at his phone and talking to coworkers. Never apologized for how long we waited, never gave us more bread or filled our drinks. You can blame others, but not when you haven't even done your job to the minimum. Told us "this is how it's been all night" after not coming to our table for over 40 minutes. We then proceeded to just want the check and leave after being there for over an hour and haven't received our APPETIZER. Quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Extensive menu but very accommodating Bacco's simple salad was very nice. I loved that it came with everything tossed in not just sitting on top. The vinaigrette was light, the mozzarella fresh and the salad was fresh and delicious. Shrimp Arrabiata sauce - this was actually zoodle Arrabiata was excellent. The sauce was nicely spiced but not over the top. The pasta almost tasted like homemade. The shrimp were very good and fresh, it would have been nice if they were a little bigger. The ice tea tasted like fresh brewed. Chalkboard entree - chicken with sautéed Brussels sprouts. Great flavors and lots of veggies (they graciously held the beets). While I enjoyed all the flavors it was a little dry and was enhanced by some spoonfuls of sauce from my husband's dish and the veggies were VERY Al dente, almost too much so For dessert we tried a small order of Zeppoli's. They were more like struffoli then zeppolis especially since they were covered with a cinnamon sugar and not powdered sugar. Our server was so nice and sweet. She checked on us the right amount. Have ordered on multiple occasions over the last decade I've lived nearby. The food used to be a good value for price, then became average value for the portions and quality served, and has now become ridiculously overrpriced for the portions and quality. $24 for a single serving bowl of spaghetti is outrageous. There are several better, more authentic Italian options within a short drive. Try Vito's or Crust instead. read more

The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable and I very much appreciate they haven't tried to squeeze tables into every square inch. I personally prefer Oregano's over Babbos, but stop here periodically because the kid loves it and the wife says it's a great deal for their weekday pasta specials. Best Italian dish I have ever had is here. It's the egg plant Parmesan. The crispiest battered egg plant ever. Good portions. The sauce is kinda orange I think because it's mixed with cheese. Omg!
