Got the hubby to come here for dinner the other night as we hadn't been in a hot minute and I needed some great Italian food to get my fix. Luckily this place never disappoints and I got my fix. Baci has been on my list to try for a while. Have heard very good things and read great reviews. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. The menu was large, with tons of classic Italian options. Pastas, entrees, seafood - the classics. I tried the Chicken Parm sandwich. It's small! Requested peppers on top and they were barely cooked. I tried others dishes amongst our party and everything was just okay IMO. Limited drink menu and no draft beers available either. It's not a large space, yet the service was very slow. We had to flag our server multiple times. Additionally, the kitchen took a very long time. Maybe it was just an off night, but a lot of waiting. I really enjoyed the ambiance inside. A very homey feel to the whole place. Reminded me of restaurants growing up. I would give it another shot and try other dishes off the menu. But overall, didn't meet my expectations. read more

We joined the waitlist here on Yelp and got there in time and were seated right away. The restaurant is quite nice, booths along the right side, some tables in the middle, and a small bar tucked in a recess. Our server was nice but fleeting: she never stopped long enough for is to order more drinks or more bread or anything; a bit disconcerting as we waited for bread, then we ordered cocktails and said we needed a few minutes more to decide what to order. I still can't get my brain wrapped around restaurants that close so early on a weekend: I am spoiled by Europe and leisurely meals. One of us had the baked potato cheese soup and then the lasagne; he was asked if he wanted meat sauce (ragù) with it. My Italian brain went "What?!?" because lasagne have meat sauce and béchamel layered into the pasta. Sure enough the ragù was piled on top but apparently not inside the pasta layers ‍ I had the lemon chicken with capers as extra, but it came out without the capers so had to ask for them as there was a $3 surcharge for them.. by the time the capers in sauce came out my chicken was drying fast and in the end I boxed it to take home after a few bites. The lemon sauce was nice, the artichoke hearts were jarred but that's fine, I use them myself at home, and instead of the typical american side of pasta I asked for some veggies. The meal overall felt rushed because of having to deal with our disappearing waitress, no offer of more wine or water, and I felt like I was holding things up by asking for an espresso. All this considered we won't be back since it's not in our area anyway, and honestly this is not an Italian restaurant for Italians like me; for americanized cuisine it's fine and what one expects without authentic cooking. read more

1/3/26: Baci's is a large restaurant, plentiful parking, nice decor (but no Italian music playing, bummer), decent food, and the service was fine. There was nothing exceptional about the experience, and though will drive long distances for good food, we won't return to Baci's. Cocktails: Italian Delight and Something Different. A bit overpriced but I must say the Delight was better than the lasagna. Appetizer: we ordered the prosciutto rolatini which, in my opinion, was completely ruined by the mounds of onion. I had to scrape all that off before touching these. The complementary bread loaf we were given was very good. Meal: lasagna & tortelloni paisano. My lasagna was drowning in marinara (I should have ordered the gnocchi). My sis enjoyed her paisano way more than I enjoyed the lasagna. About six months ago, one of my best friends and I tried this location. I had on my places to try as I do love Italian food! When we walked in, we were quickly seated and they had a few tables on a Sunday at 3pm. Loved the fountain as the ambiance of flowing water relaxes me. Definitely a cute dining area. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us time to make selections as they have a fairly large menu. We started with a classic - bruschetta. One of my favorites as I love tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and especially balsamic glaze. Though we noticed the picture in the menu had balsamic glaze pictured, but not listed as an ingredient. They did bring a bottle for us to add, which I appreciated. We were off to a good start, though our entrees didn't hit it out of the park like the bruschetta and salads. The gnocchi was doughy and underdone, which was disappointing as it was at a price point if just under $22. Raw dough leaves a taste in your mouth that we hoped dessert would alleviate. The desserts were decent, but I've had better house made cheesecake at locations within the valley. Overall, an average experience and I wouldn't drive out of my way to dine. If in the area, I definitely would give it another chance though. read more

Went for an early dinner last night with the fam. We arrived around 3:30pm and were seated right away. We were served warm bread with butter which was nice. Our server was attentive and friendly and provided recommendations. We got the fried calamari as an appetizer, and it was tasty. The kids shared the spaghetti and meatballs. I'm glad we only ordered one kid's meal for them to share as their portions are generous. I for the chicken limone and my husband got the chicken marsala. Been eating here for years. Kinda disappointed with today's service. Pre-ordered a meal for 430 pick up. Arrived and waited 25 minutes. While waiting I was going to purchase some desert but everyone that came in after me was helped first and purchased the last of the deserts. Didn't get any Parmesan and that usually comes with the order and the bread if that's what you want to call it appears to have been sat on. Also this is not the usual quality bread that's provided. Chalk up Baci Italian Bistro as another local Queen Creek restaurant that started off great years ago then went right into the toilet. The appetizers were good, but the entree, a shrimp chicken fettuccine was not worth the money. I could make shoes out of the chicken, I've had TV dinners that were better. Overall, we had a very nice dinner at Baci. The food was very good, and the wine was as well. The server did very well checking for dairy content of a few items and recommended a nice pomodoro sauce for my vegetarian needs. I had the pasta primavera and my sister had the pasta al fresco with grilled chicken. The primavera had a nice amount of vegetables in it but was kind of swimming with sauce. The little bread loaf the brought to the table was delightful! The salad was nice and fresh. Our only issue was how long it took, especially after we placed out order, for our server to come back to us. It wasnt that busy. However he was very nice and professional, but it took a long long time to get the check. That is the reason for the 4 stars. I would go back again if I lived in the area, though. read more

I have been going here over the years and unfortunately each time the food is worse than the last time. Safe to say I will not give it another try. I had the Minestrone soup. It was so incredibly salty I could not eat it. I then had chicken and shrimp in Pomodoro sauce. Chicken dry and the sauce was also so salty it burned. Shrimp was cooked perfectly though, but ruined by the sauce. Side of pasta: pasta was gummy. The ambiance. When we entered there was a stale kitchen smell, like old mop water and grease. They also changed out the lights to harsh white LED bulbs so the lighting was very industrial. Whereas I am sure this place at one time earned the 4.5 star rating, it does not anymore. read more

Stop using premade/frozen ingredients. Besides taste, using fresh ingredients will cut down on excess liquids, preventing the soggy/pasta. Use fresh garlic, this will enhance flavor not overpower the dish, prepare all dishes as they come in. If the kitchen can't keep up...revamp the menus. Price and quantity should not overshadow quality. The front of the house seems to work. They are pleasant and attentive. Lexi was our server and she was awesome!! The food was delicious and we had the bruschetta as our appetizer and it was better than expected. Plus, the bruschetta was colorful as well as appetizing! I started my dinner with a salad and it was fresh , Lucious and enticing! My husband enjoyed the tortellini Soup and he said it was tasty. I had the chicken Marsala and spaghetti and my husband had the chicken parmigiana ( which was way too much and will be our dinner for tomorrow) we also took home a Canonoli and a cheesecake and they had a large variety of deserts which made it difficult to choose! Hubby & I had dinner here tonight. We were seated right away. I server was prompt to take our drink order. Hubby got beer & I got sangria. We also ordered garlic bread, & the bread that comes with dinner. We won't order the garlic bread again. It was okay, but not good enough to pay for bread. Especially since the bread provided is good. Hubby loves good bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar. We also add Parmesan cheese and pepper to it. The sangria is good. I like mine with ice so I asked for a glass of ice. Drinks came out fairly quickly. Hubby ordered his usual. Spaghetti and meatballs. He opted for the marinara sauce. I got my usual as well. Chicken Parmesan with fettuccine and Alfredo sauce. I really like that you get to choose your pasta & sauce. Hubby got the house salad with ranch. I tried the clam chowder. Hubby liked the salad. I liked the soup. The clams were perfectly cooke, not tough & rubbery at all. The potatoes were cooked well too. Hubby loved his spaghetti and meatballs. He said the sauce was better than our usual place. The meatballs were good and not soggy at all. He wants to try the meat sauce next time. My chicken parmigiana was good. The fettuccine was cooked well. The Alfredo was good, but could use more seasoning. The only part of the service that wasn't great was our dirty dishes sat in front of us for a while. Reservations were originally made back in March for a party of three. When I received a confirmation call, I was told that the restaurant only accepts reservations for parties of six or more -- which directly contradicted what I was told at the time of booking. I expressed my frustration, but was informed there was nothing that could be done. Despite this, we decided to honor our plans and dine there as intended. Upon arrival, we were told there would be a 10-15 minute wait. We waited over 30 minutes -- specifically, 32 minutes -- before being seated. During this time, a group of six, who did not appear to have a reservation but claimed they did, were seated ahead of us. That in itself was frustrating, but it was not the most disappointing part of the experience. Roughly 22 minutes into our wait, a mother and daughter walked in to place a takeout order. The daughter approached the host stand and greeted the host -- clearly someone she knew -- and mentioned they didn't want to wait for a table, which is why they were ordering takeout. The host, a blonde woman, whispered to them, "Don't worry about it, I'll just seat you," and proceeded to do so. This was deeply unprofessional and unfair to those of us waiting patiently, and it made it very clear that personal connections were being prioritized over customer service and fairness. To be clear, this review is not a reflection on our server or the food, both of which were excellent. However, the conduct of the host was unprofessional, showed clear favoritism, and left us with a very poor impression of how the front of house is managed. read more

They took it to the kitchen and nuked it versus actually providing a fresh, hot side of alfredo. I have been waiting for two months I have been ordering almost every week for myself the fettuccine with clam sauce. I recommended when my family was here that they ordered as well. DoorDash, lots of fees as always. Two orders came with one loaf of bread. I was upset. I eat one loaf of bread myself. I called the restaurant and spoke to Diana the manager. And she said well when you're sitting at the table, we give you one loaf of. And I said I'm not sitting at your table and we have two orders and every order comes with a loaf of bread. We we dig around for a minute or two and she said well how about a gift card and I said that's fine. She verified my mailing address I have received nothing. not a call nothing I love their food, but because of their poor, very poor customer service, I frankly will not ever order again. It was very simple for them to even send me or acknowledge. I have been in the restaurant business for years and I owned my own restaurant and if an order comes with a loaf of bread, why would you think that a DoorDash order of two separate orders would not come with two loaves of bread, common sense. again, I have never heard anything from Diana or any other Management personnel from them as much as I love the food I will not ever order again. Customer service is everything as a small business restaurant owner myself. If it was my restaurant I would've driven to your home and brought you a loaf of bread!! but apparently my business is not important. They must be doing that well. read more

Five of us recently ate at Baci's, mid-week. It was a superlative experience for all. The service was great! Our waiter was engaging, knowledgeable, timely, attentive and had a great and appropriate sense of humor. The food was delectable, delicious, hot and was served in a timely manner. The tortellini soup was very tasty and seasoned well. The Veal & Shrimp Capricioso with pomodoro sauce was superlative and filled me up while creating a taste sensation in my mouth. My wife had the Salmon Paisano, which was, in her words, "incredible". She was the only one to order dessert and said the tiramisu was the best she has ever had. (This is her "go to dessert" when we are out, so this is saying a lot.) My daughter had the kids' spaghetti and meatballs and left a clean plate with a smile as well. This will be our new "go to" family restaurant for the future. My brother will be traveling here in May to get married and we are suggesting he have the wedding rehearsal dinner here. This is certainly a destination eating adventure experience. read more

Everything was mediocre at best. A step up from Olive Garden, maybe? The Veal Marsala is what I had. The sauce was plenty but the taste was not overpowering which I was thankful for. The veal though! Oh my gosh, it was as if I was eating a pork chop. Either stored in the freezer for too long or cooked too long. Bottom of the bar for veal that I've had in my life. The chicken parmigiana was ... okay. The appetizers were okay. We got there right at 4pm when they opened so you could tell the oil was clean. The complimentary bread was tasteless and dry like likely dry. At least give out whipped butter with your bread and not the kind they hand you at McDonald's with your breakfast? Just overall disappointing for our 6 year wedding anniversary dinner. Would definitely skip and wouldn't recommend for someone looking for authentic Italian. The one star is because the place is clean. The service was inattentive. I was not finished my appetizer when my salad was squeezed onto the table. I was not finished my salad when my entree was further squeezed on to my table. The entree was awful and I ate 1/4 of it and it drew no attention from server. Just asked if I wanted a to go box. When I declined, again no follow up as to why I didn't eat my 25 dollar entree. The food was oversauced to the point of being a bowl of soup instead of a of pasta. And a weird Mish mosh of flavors. It tasted like the Campbell cream soup dishes my mom made on school nights. I'm sorry but this was just a bad experience all around. I wanted to like it because it's close to home. read more
