I often referred to this place as my "secret" Pho restaurant. It's in a very nondescriptive strip mall on the border between Mesa and Gilbert. Happened to find this place on a whim years ago and have been a loyal customer ever since. They have the best Pho I've tried in the valley. The wait staff is always on point, and I've never had to wait to be seated. Great ambience, very chill vibe. The very minor downside about this place is because it is family owned, occasionally I've shown up to eat and there was a sign on the door indicated the business was closed temporarily. I believe the family that owns it takes a break and travels overseas. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to eat in the Phoenix Metro area! read more

I haven't been in the restaurant but I have had the steak Pho delivered several times. Absolutely amazing always fresh! Absolutely the best Pho I've had that didn't come from bà ngoại kitchen! I have never had any issues with the quality of food, packaging, temperature or rate of time food is prepared, so i cannot speak on their customer service. However, I do enjoy the sweet Thank you sticker they put on the bag(s). So I'm willing to bet the in house service is excellent. read more

This place is quaint and clean. Got there about 515pm and it wasn't crowded. Got a crowd maybe around 630pm. Fast and friendly service. Wait staff checking in and proactive in refilling your water. Food comes out hot and delicious Highly recommend this small business. read more

In the area on a weekday evening and looking for a quick meal on the go, I called SaDec and ordered some shrimp summer rolls. Since two come to an order and I was making a meal of these, I went for two orders. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center, but I found it no problem and my summer rolls were ready and waiting for me upon arrival. The place had a good amount of customers when I stopped in and the ambiance seemed pretty nice too. I took my rolls to-go and ate them shortly after and they were delicious! Maybe a tad bit light on the protein, but I think they normally have pork in them too (I ordered mine without pork). It seemed a little pricey, but it was high quality, so I guess you get what you pay for. I would definitely return for more summer rolls and to try some of their other menu items including pho. read more

Upon entering greeted by friendly wait staff into a well lit, good sized dining area. Food: two of us jonesing for pho. Ordered summer rolls which were nicely presented but short on pork meat ( shrimp & pork), and upsetting was tasty but cold peanut sauce. Then we were informed no tripe or tendons available so that shot Pho choice. So opted for Bun ( vermicelli noodles). None had the egg roll w/pork. Ugh. Ok we opted for a plate of noodles w/seafood. This was tasty but skimpy on the meat...5 shrimp, 1 tendril, 5 tiny (1/2") scallops, 6 calamari rings, 2 broccoli florets and a scattering of carrots and snow peas. Gotta say this was the first time I've ever walked out of an Asian restaurant w/o leftovers! No side of rice w/entree. Will I return? A hard no. Price: EXTREMELY high. Love the food here. It is delicious. Sit down service has never been great in person, but we love getting take out from here. The restaurant is decent size with about 10 tables. With the fall season coming, it's always great to eat warm broth with tasty Pho. I also love getting the summer spring rolls. Been craving some good soup, finally stopped here. It was empty when I arrived but filled up as I left. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee, summer rolls and the mi- thin egg noodle combination. The coffee was a slow drip style, after I mixed it with the condensed milk and poured it over ice. The coffee was awesome, just the perfect kick I needed! I got the summer rolls first and they were HUGE! A small person would probably fill up from them! Lastly came the soup and I didn't have to add anything extra to it. I had been craving pho for weeks and finally decided to give in. I yelped the nearest pho restaurant and drove over to SaDec Bistro. SaDec is tucked in a large shopping center with other eateries and retail stores. There's plenty of parking. I was greeted warmly as soon as I entered. The space is well-lit, open, and inviting. I asked the nice gentleman behind the hostess stand a few questions before deciding. I opted for the P15. Tofu & Veggies pho as well as an order of A3. Summer Rolls, shrimp only. I sat on a bench while waiting for my order, which didn't take long at all. Once I made it home, I quickly opened the containers. The broth was still hot which was nice. However, I was disappointed by the amount of tofu and vegetables. There were only a few pieces of small tofu cubes and not that many veggies either (see photo). Fortunately, the broth was delicious. It was flavorful. The spring roll also only had very little shrimp pieces; I believe just two shrimps cut in half to make it look like there's four. I knocked off a star for the small amount of protein and veggies as well as lack of veggie or seafood broth options. They only offer beef and chicken broth, though I did enjoy the beef broth. I would order pho here again, but will try a different protein! read more

Not the best Pho. No star of anise, no sugar, no cloves no cinnamon, tastes like beef broth with a too much salt. There's no oil,sheen/fat. Not trying to "Boo" this establishment, just saying.. we needed a restaurant to provide nourishment and this place didn't meet our needs. Pho in most cases is used for recovery or meant to be something that heals. This wasn't their best rendition. I know thy can provide better. This isn't the last prefer from them. SaDec Bistro is a semi-upscale Vietnamese restaurant located on the Mesa/Gilbert border. The interior, while quaint, has an authentic and charming vibe. There were only a few people dining inside. The service was very, very slow. For not being very crowded, it took over 15 minutes to get drinks and order our food. We were a bit disappointed in the inconsistency in the waitresses. We split the Fried Potstickers along with an order of Fried Rice. The food was actually pretty good! The Potstickers were crunchy and had a perfect sauce on the side. The Fried Rice was also delicious, and seasoned perfectly. Based on the atmosphere and food I would give a 4 star review, but I'm docking a star due to the inconsistent service. read more

Being from Hawaii, we have a lot of Asian food and one of them that is my favorite is Pho. I found this place to be just as good as my secret spots in Hawaii. I would recommend this place to anybody who loves Pho. I ordered the tofu vegetable and add slice beef, yes, I do cheat a little ha ha. I can't recall if I have ever had Vietnamese cuisine before, but I have had pho. Right down the street from me is this little strip mall, with a small restaurant, serving up big flavor. The ambiance is modern with music in the background, Vietnamese I assume. The soft drinks here are not dispensed, but bottled. I took a few minutes to browse the menu. Pho is the reason I checked this place out. Naturally I ordered a bowl of pho with steak and meatballs. The pho was up in a reasonable amount of time. It came with a side garnish of fresh basil, bean shoots, and sliced jalapenos. The soup base is beef broth. There were pieces of sliced steak and meatballs, banboo shoots, green onion, cilantro, and lots of rice noodles. Of course I added all the garnishes to make this a piping hot bowl of flavorful pho. There was more than I could finish, so I took the rest to go for my lunch tomorrow. The prices are a little higher than I expected. I'm not crazy about paying nearly 3 bucks for a bottle of soda. First impression upon walking in; this place is very hip and cute with soothing yet upbeat music playing in the background. Yeah, this is a spot I'd bring my coworkers to. Not so much a hole-in-the-wall feel but given its location in Gilbert, that makes sense. Normally I would travel to Mesa or Phoenix for pho, but time didn't allow for that today. I've been putting off trying this spot because of its steeper prices compared to the aforementioned areas. As a disclaimer, pho is one of my absolute favorite foods and 90% of what I care about is the broth. I also have tried many spots in Mesa, Tempe, and Phoenix, and certain restaurants have set the bar pretty high. Overall, the portions were decent although I would normally like a bigger serving of bean sprout and basil. The meat was good and there was a solid amount of it, and the rice noodles were also fine. I'm going to start off by saying their Pho is actually pretty good. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, very zen like feeling and quiet. The server today was good, as it wasn't very busy so he was very attentive and we had no issues with the service. My issues were that Pho and Vietnamese food in general should be a relatively affordable meal. I was looking for a place I could come to every week as we just moved from California and would love to have a place I could get a bowl of pho and not feeling like I have to work extra hard that day. We got a beef and rice plate, basic egg rolls, spring rolls, steak pho and a udon and the bill was $94 NINETY FOUR DOLLARS. I mean the audacity to charge this for pho/comfort food that's so cheap to make is mind boggling. On top of the prices the guy said they charge extra for additional cilantro and onion. Fine, no problem, but the dish he brought to me of the extra veggie was literally non existent. He gave me a small little plate with barely anything on it. I don't care how good your pho is, I had Michelin rated pho in California for half the price. This owner is alienating people and keeping them away from his food because not only most won't and can't afford it but there's no way in hell i would ever come back to pay 110 dollars for a family of four to have pho. read more
