I've had pho from here twice but both times were a bit different from each other. The first time we came in we ordered an order of spring rolls, I got pho, my mom got a Vermicelli noodle bowl and we also both got a thai tea. It was the closest pho spot to us at the time & it did it's job at satisfying our craving. The next time we stopped by we came here because it was the only place that stayed open a bit later than other spots. Next to the hotel where we stay when we visit family, is a shopping center. One day, I noticed that they had a Pho place in there. When our grandsons and their Dad came by later that day, I asked them if they were willing to try Vietnamese food. We gave them a description as to what Pho was and let them know that there were other items on the menu besides Pho. They all were willing to give it a try. One grandson didn't come along as he has a part-time job and had to work that day. Once we all entered the restaurant, we were greeted and seated. I ordered my usual Pho Ga and my husband plus our son-in-law also had the same thing. One grandson ordered a Pho that had beef in it. The other grandson isn't a fan of soups so he ordered a fried rice and chicken meal. The Pho portion was very generous and the aromatics were fresh. Everyone who had Pho enjoyed their meal. Our grandson, who got the chicken and fried rice, liked his meal. The ambiance is that of a casual place with some artwork on the walls. If we lived nearby, we would gladly go here again. Tried AZ Pho Grill in Gilbert for the first time and I'm officially hooked. I ordered the sweet and sour seafood soup to-go and was honestly so impressed with how fresh it still tasted by the time I got home. The flavors were so clean and balanced... the sweet and sour was subtle but still packed with flavor. Nothing overpowering, just really well done. I wish there was a little more seafood for the price, but overall it was SO good! A portioned out half and saved the rest for later!! Definitely adding this spot into our regular rotation! read more

Came here a few times and I enjoyed it every time. When it comes to pho I always thinking of this shop and especially this location. I know they always busy during lunch time so often I go 30 mins before to enjoy my meal, sit back and relax. The restaurant has open space and has plenty indoor tables to offer for a big or small groups. I ordered spicy beef noodle which come with a thick noodle, braised beef and spicy stock, but it's not spicy as it looks, but still very delicious and filling. The service is great, friendly. Warm welcome as we walked in. Simple and self explanatory menu. Plenty of sitting area, like how it's not overly crowded in. We get what we normally get when we crave pho. We really enjoyed their Bbq Red Pork and Shrimp Spring Rolls, usually with our experience at many previous Pho places the shrimp is fishy but AZ Pho & Grill nailed it and was perfect! We also really liked their broth, great flavor, their noodles are perfect, best pho noodles in our book, not starchy texture to their noodles! Will be back for more when it's Pho'ing colder out! There is ample parking in the shopping center and there is a nice large sign to help you find it. The staff are super friendly and nice. I ordered the pho shrimp which was really nice. This restaurant is neat and clean. The cả phê sua da came in a drip cup with a side of ice bringing me back to the streets of Ho Chi Minh City with strong coffee tempered by the condensed milk. Not sure what the fuss is all about. Ordered steak combo pho had minimal meat and the pieces were full of fat. The meatball was hard as a rock. Had the seafood hot and sour same deal minimal meat. Thank god I ordered the chicken fried rice as an appetizer, as we liked that was light and fluffy but again like 4 pieces of chicken. I decided to give this place another try. Looks like they have a new system to place online orders for take out. I am happy to say this worked much smoother. Placed my order online and paid. I also received updates by text for when my order was ready. I walked in and the food was ready on time and the right items were in the bag! Amazing. You still need to ask for utensils if you need them so don't forget that. I'm happy this restaurant has improved their service because the pho and summer rolls are delicious. The soup hit the spot. We decided to try a Pho place, we hadn't been in before since we were on the opposite side of the valley then we live in. We decided to try AZ Pho and grill. The visit was great. Pleasant atmosphere quick service even on a Saturday. The Pho was tasty but really skimped a bit on meat and there could have been a little more noodles also. (at least compared to all the other Vietnamese places I've tried) The spring rolls were loosely packed and had just enough mint without being too minty. If I was in the area, I would definitely go here again. read more

This place is really good! They have awesome options, and all the Pho is gluten free besides the Spicy Seafood option. Everything is fresh and the soup is big, I could never finish one! I me give one more star if the staff was friendlier (I totally get that they are very young), and if it was just a little more flavorful- I'm always looking for sriracha or salt to add. Ate here for lunch today and I was surprised I never reviewed this place. I've been here few times before to have bowl of Pho. Usually my back up place when one close by is closed. So many Pho places on the west side this place is not too bad. Not the best not the worst far as Pho goes. I decided to try something new today so I ordered Hue spicy beef soup. Well it wasn't spicy what so ever, nice amount of protein in the soup. One thing I did not like is that it had such strong fish sauce flavor. Decided to eat some Pho in Arizona with a friend of mine. I usually have Pho at home or in California. So when I was offered to try some Pho in Arizona, I had to see how good it is compared to the other places I tried. Overall, I really enjoyed it. We ordered a strawberry tea and a cup of Dr.pepper and we ordered chicken potstickers for an appetizer. It's really good and I can overhear other people ordering this too so it really is a fan favorite. After a small amount of time, our steak phos came in and they were delicious, good broth, all the seasonings, sauces, and toppings available and the service was amazing. We have had our waiter check up on us a decent amount which was good. A favorite part of this place was that they were playing Avatar the last Airbender and Pokémon on the tvs. It was amazing. Just had dinner here on Tuesday night with my mom and sister and we made a great choice on coming to this location. We usually frequent the Gilbert location. The parking situation was a little hectic since it's a pretty busy plaza. We finally made it inside and one of the servers came running to the front to greet us. He told us to go to a booth while he grabbed menus. We sat down and looked over the menus. We ordered: One appetizer sampler - 2 Coconut Shrimp, 2 Spring Rolls, 2 Egg Rolls One Tendon and Steak Pho One Steak Pho One Chicken Fried Rice The appetizer sampler came out first and soon after all our other entrees came out. In total we waited about 15 minutes or so. The spring rolls were delicious along with the peanut sauce it comes with. The shrimp was also delicious as they were hot and crispy and did not have an overpowering coconut flavor. The egg rolls were crispy and flavorful. The Pho was delicious!!! The broth had a lot of flavor and it was filled to the brim. I counted a total of 5 pieces of steak in my Pho though which I found disappointing. My sisters Pho had a couple more pieces of meat. The rice? Delicious! It had so much flavor and had plenty of chicken pieces. Service was great as the two workers who were serving kept checking up on us. My drink was refilled twice. I was feeling run down from traveling and wanted some soothing, comfort food. I needed pho! I've tried AZ Pho & Grill's pho from another location before and enjoyed it, so I decided to try this one closer to my house. I called about 30 minutes before closing and ordered their tofu and veggie pho as well as the shrimp spring rolls (pork omitted). By the time I left the house, my ETA was 8:35pm, which is five minutes after they close. I called the restaurant to inform them, and the friendly staff assured me they would wait. Sure enough, when I arrived, even though the "open" neon sign was off, the door remained open. My order was ready at the counter. I paid and thanked them profusely. The pho was exactly what I needed; it was warm, comforting, and soothing, just as I had hoped. It was filled with plenty of tofu and vegetables. The shrimp rolls were fresh, and the peanut sauce was creamy and tasty. I truly appreciate their flexibility and will definitely be ordering from them again! read more

Walked in to a half-empty restaurant and was told it would be a 5-minute wait. Totally reasonable -- except 20 minutes later, I was still standing there watching every group that arrived after me get seated, including parties both larger and smaller than mine. No explanation. No check-in. No apology. Just ignored. If there's a wait list, it clearly isn't being honored. If there's a seating system, it's not transparent or fair. Either way, it reflects poor front-of-house management and a complete lack of respect for customers' time. I didn't leave because of a long wait -- I left because of how arbitrarily and dismissively it was handled. Restaurants can be busy; they shouldn't be disorganized or dishonest about it. Cold day calls for Pho! Went here on an early evening on a Friday night and it looks like everyone had the same idea cause the place was packed. AZ Pho & Grill has three locations in the valley which makes sense cause they have excellent food. We ordered a brisket pho and a grilled chicken sandwich which is a Banh Mi. The pho hit the spot and had a great broth with a deep flavor and all was exactly what we needed. Definitely they make a great pho here and probably the best I had in the area. The grilled chicken sandwich was awesome. Good bread with a tasty sauce on the chicken with jalapenos, pickled carrots and lettuce. I added sriracha to spice it up even more and was excellent. I would recommend it for sure. They have a good selection of drinks such as boba's and teas too. All around a great place for Vietnamese food and I would recommend it! read more

I visited AZ Pho today and while the food itself was good, the experience afterward was unacceptable. After paying, we accidentally left our credit card with the receipt and walked out. We realized it almost immediately and returned. At the front, I spoke with two young staff members who provided no real assistance. They repeatedly told me there was no card left behind without taking even 30 seconds to ask the busser who had just cleared our table. There was no effort made to look, check, or communicate with anyone else. We walked directly from the table to our car, then straight back inside. There was nowhere else the card could have been. They said they would call if they found it, but never asked for my name or phone number. The two male employees at the front lacked basic customer service and could barely communicate in English, which made the situation even more frustrating. Despite the food being good, I will not return. Losing a customer's credit card and refusing to make even minimal effort to locate it is unacceptable. It felt careless at best and negligent at worst. read more

I love pho and this place used to be really great. The staff were personable, the food good, and we would just have a good experience overall. Recently we've noticed a decline in service and food, culminating in today's experience. The waitress and waiter were talking a lot of crap about customers with different levels of service for each table. One table confronted the bigger waitress about the lack of service while she spent a lot of time just hanging out back or in the side alcove. Another table had drinks spilt in them and the same waitress offered them 10% off despite not being able to eat their food and the one customer was soaked. I hate to say it but this place has really gone downhill. Hopefully they can replace their staff, bring the food back up, and recover. read more

I used to love this place back before covid......I've been a few times recently because as far as Pho goes there aren't to many places on this side of town. I was a little disappointed at the overall prices and lack of flavor. The noodles in the Pho are so stuck together that it all ends up being chopped up and you can't even pick up a single full noodle. This happens every time I've been there in the last 2 years. The restaurant itself is usually clean and well put together. The service is good and the work staff are friendly. I hope that the next time I go there is a little bit more flavor and the noodles stay long noodles. read more

This is our second attempt to eat here. The first time we stood waiting for a table for over 10 minutes when there was plenty open, employees just kept walking by. Today we went, 4 people eating at one table 6 tables dirty & all their booths were dirty. I asked to sit in a booth & said we were ok waiting he acted super annoyed & stated although they weren't busy it would take them 10-15 minutes to clean a booth for us because it wasn't his job & the busser was busy. I said that's ok we will just go eat next door, he said ok. We were very polite about it but I've worked in the restaurant business & this is no way to be a FOH employee, they could use some retraining. Esp since there were 3 of them standing around doing nothing but chatting. I'd love to change my review but I'm not sure I'll attempt to eat here a third time especially since we now love the Mexican restaurant next door Boca Taqueria is excellent & I'd highly recommend. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. We arrived just as they opened, and we were seated right away. Our server took our drink order and we looked over the menu. My husband and I decided to split a bowl of the pho with steak and meatballs and a side of white rice. Within a few minutes of ordering our soup came out piping hot and delicious with the usual side of fresh basil and bean sprouts. The rice was cooked perfectly and with a dash of hoisin sauce added it was perfect. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the soup had a good flavor. This was our first time trying AZ Pho & Grill. When you walk in they have a bunch of tables and it is dark and cozy. We were greeted by a very rude server. He had an attitude the whole entire time, from the second we walked into the door until we left. We were out for a ladies lunch and it took 10 minutes to get drinks and we were one out of 2 tables in the restaurant. We ordered a Thai tea and it tasted very very sweet and asked if we could switch to a different drink (coke) and the server took the drink and tried it then gave us a dirty look. Which we thought was very odd. I worked in the service industry and would never be upset by a guest asking to change their drinks after taking one sip. Then to try it was very odd to me. When we were brought out food we received one dish of vegetables for the whole table for all the soups. When we asked to add another we were told it would cost extra and that it is portioned out for each person. Which is crazy to me because I have NEVER been portioned to add flavor to our soup. Our soups had 5 tiny slices of meat; which is crazy because the bowls are pretty pricey in my opinion. They were filled with a majority of the rice noodles. The broth was good, but lacked a ton of flavor. Our server never checked back with us, until he dropped the tab. But of course made sure to add a 18% gratuity, because we were a table of 5.
