Got the large plate and it was enough to feed at least two people. And I eat a decent amount so that's saying something. Kalua pork: 5/5 Mochiko Chicken: 5/5 Katsu Chicken: 2.5/5 Katsu Sauce: 2/5 (mostly ketchup) Spicy Teriyaki Sauce: 3.5/5 (very liquidy, not super spicy, but tasty) Mac Salad: 5/5 Garlic Edamame: 2/5 (not the best garlic flavor, but they were decent) Rice: 4/5 (wasn't as sticky as I'd like, but fluffy and tasty still) Overall, they were pretty tasty and decently priced for Hawaiian food. The Mochiko Chicken will be the reason I come back honestly, it's so good. read more

A friend and I decided to check out Moku hoping to add another good spot to our list. I got the kalua pork, spicy poke, macaroni salad, and kimchi slaw. The slaw was fresh, though I wish it had a stronger kimchi flavor but that's just me loving kimchi that much. The macaroni was creamy, noodles al dente, and a great side to the pork. The kalua pork was tender and seasoned well. It wasn't too salty. The poke had a good kick to it and tasted fresh as well. The guys scooping up our orders were patient with us as we tried to decide what to get. The portions were really good too. I must've dug into my food without taking a photo too Inside is clean with plenty of seating. You grab your own drink from the fountain machine. read more

Fast food Hawaiian! Very clean and sterile looking establishment with a small outdoor patio. Counter staff were very courteous in explaining how the menu worked and there is very clear signage. Everything was delicious but the beef was a little tough. Portions were huge and were actually two meals for us. I would return! read more

Pretty good place, I would definitely try it again. I was shocked at the amount of seating this place had! The staff was kind and the restaurant looked clean. I ordered the Chicken Katsu and the Chicken Teriyaki. The customer in front of me ordered the same meal and said it was her go to meal every time she comes in. The katsu was nothing special but with sauce it was great! The portion size was insane because I got a small and it was a ton of food! So love that for me! read more

When attending an event at Revel Surf, a friend and I were wanting to eat something in the area. Seemed fitting to eat Hawaiian food after an evening at the beach. The staff were very friendly, but I noticed at 7:30pm they were out of quite a bit. We noticed no beef option, and other outages. Though we may have ordered differently than intended, the food we did get was pretty tasty! Love the spicy teriyaki and sriracha available at the condiment station. There is a location near my workplace, so I knew this place was pretty good. The store has a beautiful mural on the wall, and lots of seating on either side of the order counter. Pretty comfortable for a quick service location, and I'd return again. read more

First time here, no real expectations. Ordered the bowl with two scoops of brown rice, and two meats. I selected the teriyaki chicken and pork with a spicy sauce. Flavors were great, pork was tender and the chicken was tasty. Service was good and place was clean. Prices were very reasonable for the area. Nice enclave of restaurants here read more

Pretty decent choice, if you're in the mood for some quick eats in this area. First, it's very exciting to see this part of the area growing rapidly. When I saw Moku Hawaiian Grill come up on Yelp, I had to give them a try. They're set up build-your-bowl style with options of sides, meats, and toppings. It's a pretty quick in and out process if you're in a hurry (assuming there's not a long line, of course). When I had gone in, it wasn't super busy yet so I decided on a Large Plate which came with 2 scoops of rice, 3 meats, and 2 sides. I got one scoop of white rice & then substituted one scoop for a side salad. For the meat options, I got the Teriyaki Chicken, Mochiko Chicken, and Pulehu Chicken. And for my sides, I went with two scoops of mac salad. I expected to like the mac salad the best, and I did indeed like that the most, followed by the Pulehu Chicken. Overall, a good choice if you're in the area. They have indoor seating but it seemed like most people were taking everything to-go. read more

Amazing food and amazing people working here. The food is consistently good every single time and the vibes are always great as well.

Food: tasty and quick with large portions. Service: it's basically fast food, so service was prompt e/food being at right temperature for take out. Staff: friendly. I got the child's plate and it was plenty of food Will return again! read more

Great food, amazing service, and Hawaii's music playing in the background, now you got Revel Surf across the way it's certainly not home, but a homemade beach with ocean like waves. Man! It's like home, in the water and all you smell is the BBQ Chicken on da grill. Takes me way back to my kid days....LOL Anyway, Moku's never disappoints. If you know, you know. If you don't know, you better go find out! LOL read more

Moku Hawaiian Grill - Mesa - Hawaiian Style poké, Chicken Katsu, Teri Chicken, Mac salad, Kim chee slaw and of course rice complimented by one big Shaka!!!! - Hawaiian Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

I was really looking forward to this place since I love Hawaiian food and this place is really close to my house. Staff was pretty friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the food fell short. Out of three meats and two sides for the large plate there were only one of each that was good. The katsu I got no sauces were offered had to ask and it tasted like ketchup. But thebjatsu was pretty moist compared to the other meats. The chickens were way over cooked and dry but atleast one of them had good flavor. The sweet corn isn't sweet, it tasted more like your average canned corn. The garlic edamame was good. Whatever large plate my friend ordered with a premium meat, he was was disappointed too, said his was just as dry, lacked flavor and we both got different meats. Place was clean though. My friend and I most likely won't be visiting again though unfortunately. We were not impressed at all. But wish them the best. I know business has been hard in that plaza. read more

Husband & I stopped here for lunch Sat 6/21/25. Staff was friendly & place was very clean. I had a Salad bowl with Pork & hot corn. Hubby had Regular bowl with Pulehu & Katsu Chicken with brown rice, macaroni salad & Kimchi slaw. Portions were generous & food was fresh (except corn which i think came from a can). Hubby was also very happy they have Hawaiian Sun drinks. He said the Pulehu chicken, Macaroni salad & Kimchi slaw were all excellent. However, I didn't like either of their 2 dressing choices. Plus, their Katsu sauce tasted like Ketchup with just a little brown sugar added to it. With 3-4 other Hawaiian options in the area, I'd recommend they NEED to improve their dressings & sauces. (I didn't try the teriyaki sauce recommended by others). read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I ordered a kids meal which was plenty. I got the ahi tuna with rice and kimchi slaw. I added on a side portion of the chicken katsu. I got the spicy tuna however it did not taste anything close to spicy. The kimchi slaw was refreshing and tasty. The katsu chicken was ok-it had an oily taste to it but over all not bad. Since it's still in the soft opening stages, the restaurant noted some items are not available. Staff were great and inviting. I'd come back again with my husband to try the teriyaki chicken. read more

We got take out from here a few times.. my thoughts are that it is a hit or miss.. today specifically, we ordered both poke and beef with rice/salad/edamame. While most of the food is very well made, including the delicious salad dressing and poke are 2 of the best things there, the beef was terribly done, flavorless, overcooked and burnt. My jaw hurts from an attempt to eat it. I would not recommend and it's a waste of $ in my opinion because we both threw it out. The service is not bad, they are fast and close to us so we find it convenient. Also clean and nice inside. I wouldn't say I crave this place at all but it is accessible on a day that I need take out. read more

Bunch of young kids running the place. Walked in and not one person said a word! No welcome in, No are you here to pick up an order, No how can I help you! Not a peep!! I stood there for a few minutes waiting and the kid at the grill didn't say a word. Some girl walks out from the back and she wasn't gonna say a word either! I had to ask her a question about the Spicy Tuna, otherwise she would've ignored me too! Ridiculous poor customer service! They need training for sure! Management needs to huddle with the crew. Friday 8/14/26 4:00pm I mean I only come in for the tuna. Everything else is subpar Hawaiian food if you want to call it Hawaiian Food! read more

I took my family to Moku's Hawaiian Grill when they were in town. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. It is very similar to the Hawaiian food we eat in Hawaii. The kalua pork was good, although I think it would have been better if served with cabbage which is how we like to eat it in Hawaii. My Mom got the teriyaki chicken and she ate her whole plate! She is a picky eater too. I like the friendliness of the servers and the fact that I can get gluten free meals is a plus, since I have celiac disease. I ordered the salted edamame and kinchi slaw. They were both delicious. I will be going back there and I recommend this place to anyone wanting a taste of Hawaiian food. The place was busy by the time we left so you know a lot of people have found this place to be a good place to eat. It wasn't loud and we were able to sit by ourselves without being heard by the adjacent party and vice versa. I will definitely be coming back here to eat soon. read more

Pretty cool "Chipotle" style concept. I wouldn't consider it authentic, but it definitely hit the spot. I would skip the kalua pork that's missing cabbage and the strange kimchi salad that's made like coleslaw? :( Poke was surprisingly good! Great quick service. read more

Had high hopes but my meal was unfortunately mid. The service here was friendly and quick however the three chicken dishes on my large plate all ranged from piping hot off the stove to lukewarm to straight up cold. Found the meats here to be dry which is not typical of Hawaiian food and had to heavily rely on sauces. The spicy edamame was delicious and I love that they have healthy side dish options. I would like to try it again, maybe I went during a weird time. read more

Try the twist, you won't regret! read more

The amount of food for the price is great. I got the two meats; teriyaki chicken and katsu chicken. Out of the two I preferred the teriyaki. It was better seasoned. The katsu was kinda flavorless. The sauces improved it but the food should be tasty without sauces too. I did a pick up. It was ready for me within the time frame. It seemed fairly busy inside but the two gentlemen were trying their best to maintain a steady pace. It wasn't what I expected it to look like inside.. definitely more fast foodie vibe but it was fine. The mac salad was good too. read more

Do not recommend....second visit most of the staff seemed pretty nice and trying hard but (not sure if she was a manager) Alissa was just weird. Don't come here for good vibes that's for sure read more

Had the regular plate Two scoops of rice, two meats and two sides. The problem was the rice meats and one side was room temp at best. I had two kinds of chicken and my sides were Mac salad and edamame. I never had cold edamame before the chicken had a good flavor, but was not safe or fit for eating at that temperature. Neither was the rice. read more

I'll tell the good part first. staff was friendly and professional. The Kailua pork was very good. Love the Dole whip for dessert. When you get teriyaki sauce decide on sweet or spicy. They didn't tell me one was very spicy that they gave me. Glad I didn't use a lot. now the bad part is I also got teriyaki beef. It was so tough, I couldn't chew it. My husband didn't believe me so I gave him a piece to try. He couldn't chew it either. The end. read more

I love this place. I eat here at least once a week. Everything is good. The teriyaki chicken and the Mac salad are the best!

This place is very good! A lot of authentic protein options with a number of options for sides. The mochoku chicken and kalua pork were on point! The biggest reason for me to return? The amount of food for the price! You get so much food! I got the large plate and it's easily enough food for two full meals. It's also friendly service with a smile. Highly recommend this place!
