Great Hawaiian food. Got the beef teriyaki plate. Cooked to perfection. Came with two scoops of rice sprinkled with furikake and one generous scoop of Mac salad. Portions are huge. Reminds me of Leeward Drive Inn in Oahu. We also ordered Spicy ahi poke. Again, huge portion. It was served in a saimin bowl. It was mildly spicy, the ahi was very fresh. 2 thumbs up. Ordered the loco moco and the fried fish. Neither were very good. The dole whip was delicious though and the girl at the counter was very friendly. I would say it's definitely not a good value for your money but maybe if you order the right thing you'll have better luck. The loco moco didn't have enough gravy, the eggs were overdone, the meat was bland and rubbery. It's nice in there though! The smoothie was also very good if a little over sweet. Had dinner with my mom and sister here on Friday evening and we were excited for some yummy Hawaiian food. We arrived and waited in line to order as there was a family ordering before us and only one person manning the register. Once our turn, we ordered: One two meat plate - Chicken katsu, Kalua pork, macaroni salad, and white rice One meat plate - Kalua pork, macaroni salad, white rice One Spam Masubi One pizookie with ice cream We didn't wait too long and the food was brought to our table. The food came out hot and the portions were decent. We dug in. The Kalua pork was cooked perfectly but needed flavor. It was missing some type of seasoning. The chicken katsu was my favorite as it was flavored, crunchy, and crispy - mmmm. The macaroni salad didn't have any flavor and was bland. The white rice was cooked well and the spam masubi was really basic. The pizookie was pretty good but after a few bites it became a little too sweet, so we only ate half. There are several tables set up inside and an outdoor patio. There were a few patrons dining in and several to go orders so it was a pretty busy night. Service was good. My family was visiting from Hawaii, and we were craving some Hawaiian food so we decided to try this restaurant. You order at the counter and there are a few small tables in this establishment if you want to eat there. I have celiac disease and they had several gluten free options which I totally appreciate. The food is as good as what we can get in Hawaii, down to the spam musubi and the Hawaiian Sun drinks. They even had Dole Whip, which of course, we ordered! My Mom is in a wheelchair now and it is handicap accessible but if you're with someone because it would be hard to open the door if you are in a wheelchair. I liked how the place was decorated, simple and with colors reminiscent of Hawaii. The people who work there were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. I recommend this little cafeteria style restaurant to anyone craving some Hawaiian cuisine. We will definitely be back to enjoy the food again. read more

Had so much hope for this place! Went and ordered with the fam then brought the food home. First off I wanna say the Katsu chicken is super fatty and lacking in any flavor. The Mac Salad was slimey and only tastes like mayo, no seasoning involved at all. The Mochiko Chicken was a salt bomb. The spicy Poké was good, but it was the only thing good. Even the kimchi slaw was Mehh. Honestly it was a very pricey disappointment. We spent over $60+ dollars to feed a family of 4. Normally with higher prices we've found great quality. There's a lot to try here, the meats are the star of the show for me, I'd recommend there garlic chicken. It's crunchy and savory. As for sides most are a little bland for me. A feature I have to mention they offer at this location is the Luau. Once a month they put on a luau with whole roasted pig sides and live music. The owner Moki needs to go back home and get his taste buds back. First the music you play is not Hawaiian. It's Polynesian like what they play at the Polynesian Cultural center on the north shore. Second your spicy ahi poki is mayonnaise on cubed ahi tuna and has no taste, does not taste like back home. What is the spicy taste? It's so haole style. Second your garlic chicken is not authentic, it tastes like orange chicken from Costco. Third your Kalbi ribs was ok but too small of a portion for what you charged. I paid $51 for two plates and a poki bowl. Brah you need to take it easy on your prices. If the quality of the food tasted like the real deal then ok. Sorry brah no can give you one good rating. I also love that they serve on plates when you dine in. They have a nice menu with all the important things, no major fluff. Prices are great for what you get! Each plate in the pics are less than $20. Actually each was only $16.95 and that was a lot of food. The katsu was crunchy and that sauce was bangin. The loco moco was straight forward. Food was pretty good but way to expensive. For 2 one meat entrees and 2 small drinks it was $45. Windows and door in the restaurant where duty with finger prints and whatnots. On all the tables there were a lot of condiments. One of the condiments was a chipotle mayonnaise that said on the bottle to refrigerate after opening. I was afraid it would make me sick. They're not that close to where I live so it's out-of-the-way for me but I will say that I was extremely happy with the food quality and the portion size. Ooof. I wrote a 5-star review for Moki's about a year ago, as this has been a long time favorite of my family. However, my husband and I have been dismayed at the rising prices. We recently came and were shocked to see the prices had gone up at least $4 per plate. It used to be around $11 or $12 and my husband and I would "splurge" on their takeout because we love it so much. But when it's $16-17 a plate (or $40 for two plates not including drinks), it makes us want to go somewhere else for date night, especially since the portion sizes also seem to be getting smaller. There are some really nice restaurants in the area that are less than that per plate. We'll be skipping on this for now -- way too expensive for the portion sizes and the quality we have noticed has gone downhill. Bummer. read more

The ambiance was on point. The dirty bathrooms and flies throughout the restaurant made it feel like an authentic dirty dive. Especially with the cranked up reggae music! After getting to experience the restaurant for over 30 minutes while we waited for our food, they brought out our food in to-go containers in spite of ordering to dine in. Maybe they were hoping we would leave before noticing that half of our sticky chicken was just fried skin. The only thing stickier than the chicken was the table, and the air. The place felt like an authentic Hawaiian summer night after a hurricane. The food looked and tasted like it was just thrown together, even though it took over 30 minutes.
